It is a SCAM and when I have time I love to waste their time. I act all concerned when they tell me I have a virus that's affecting the whole network but not to worry they will help me. So I play dumb and have them guide me through the processes to rid my computer of viruses. What they try to convince you to do is to disable certain security on your computer that would allow them to install a msn type appllication that will allow them remote operation of your computer, in doing so they can install keystroke and spyware software and also install a virus cleaner that will prompt you to purchase a spyware cleaner of course for that you need to give them your credit card info. So I like to fumble my way around the computer and pretend like I don't know what I'm doing and just frustrate the hell out of them. Other times when I don't have the time I tell them "yes there is a message on my computer" they act all concerned and helpful and ask that I read it out to them. I tell them yes it says " Microsoft windows has detected that you are being scammed over the telephone please advise the caller to FUCK OFF" Usually they reply back with a barrage of slurs and nonsensical insults, my favorite being when the gentleman on the phone told me " you sir put your penis into your anus!" and then hung up on me, LOL

I have always felt fairly conflicted about listing specific services (menu style). It really takes away from the spontaneity of the encounter IMHO. Personally, everything is YMMV with my guests depending on a variety of factors (hygiene, trust, comfort level, length of the encounter, how long I've known the client, etc.). I do have some hard limits and those are listed on my website.

I quite agree with Nathalie's thoughts on the matter. In fact, "YMMV" is the default regardless when enjoying the privilege of companionship, paid or unpaid. Boundaries can be blurred for a variety of reasons. Life is complicated and relationships are sometimes complex, including those we have in this industry. While the blurring of boundaries isn't the norm, people are people, and sometimes people meet in this profession and become friends, develop relationships, get married, break up, reach out to each other for help and/or support and genuinely enjoy each others' company. We're all vulnerable, and our hearts are tender. This isn't the only profession where boundaries can be and are sometimes blurred. Any caring type profession has these issues as well (nannies, nurses, care-givers, therapists, doctors, etc.). It's an interesting question for sure, but I doubt you'll get much response. When those boundaries are blurred it really is a privilege and a gift. It should be respected as such. :)

Not entirely sure where to start here- My first rec of my first SP encounter. From browsing this site for a while, I had come to the decision that I wanted to see Malika. Being that I live out of the country and can be a bit neurotic, I set up my late July date in late April, which I gather is a bit unusual, but Malika was understanding of my worries and such. My guess is that it is a SCAM, probably VIRUS laden. So beware fellow Cerbites, they won't provide a return number or email address.

Did you try going into Control Panel, Network & Internet, Internet Options, at the bottom left there is a place for color options. I use Windows but that might be your issue.

I've received several of these calls as well (reminds me of this thread on internet scams). Strange, as the time i mentioned that i ask "which PC is that that sends you signal about the O.S.? I use an Apple comp", they either insisted i look at my PC or mumble and hang up.

My most favorite thing to do is to say "hold on a sec" and put the phone down. Then I go about my business and "forget" they are still on the line. Most hang up after 10 minutes, but the longest was 45 minutes.

Word of caution about insisting on the search... The "search before you ask" thing.. I have seen many forums about my various hobbies wither and die over the years. I'm pretty much aligned with olderguy on this one. I look at the web site for fees, limits, and pictures.

First when I started out and the whole process was quite foreign to me I liked to see the list of "services" so I knew what to expect from what was an entirely new experience. So I think newbies may like to see the listing to help them understand what's in-store for them. Now with more experience (and the help of CERB), I don't really care about it as I'm much more comfortable chatting with companions about my preferences for my encounter. As a rule I have an understanding about what's "included" in my experience and if there happens to be any specific request that I might have that's outside "the norm" of typical services I just ask the companion about it. We're all adults, and if we're adult enough to do it then we should be adult enough to talk about it. However, if a companion has a specific service that she chooses not to offer (greek, BBBJ, etc) I think it would be easier to list the "don't do" services to avoid unnecessary contacts by clients looking for this service. Just my thoughts.
