It is a SCAM and when I have time I love to waste their time. I act all concerned when they tell me I have a virus that's affecting the whole network but not to worry they will help me. So I play dumb and have them guide me through the processes to rid my computer of viruses. What they try to convince you to do is to disable certain security on your computer that would allow them to install a msn type appllication that will allow them remote operation of your computer, in doing so they can install keystroke and spyware software and also install a virus cleaner that will prompt you to purchase a spyware cleaner of course for that you need to give them your credit card info. So I like to fumble my way around the computer and pretend like I don't know what I'm doing and just frustrate the hell out of them. Other times when I don't have the time I tell them "yes there is a message on my computer" they act all concerned and helpful and ask that I read it out to them. I tell them yes it says " Microsoft windows has detected that you are being scammed over the telephone please advise the caller to FUCK OFF" Usually they reply back with a barrage of slurs and nonsensical insults, my favorite being when the gentleman on the phone told me " you sir put your penis into your anus!" and then hung up on me, LOL

I have always felt fairly conflicted about listing specific services (menu style). It really takes away from the spontaneity of the encounter IMHO. Personally, everything is YMMV with my guests depending on a variety of factors (hygiene, trust, comfort level, length of the encounter, how long I've known the client, etc.). I do have some hard limits and those are listed on my website.

I quite agree with Nathalie's thoughts on the matter. In fact, "YMMV" is the default regardless when enjoying the privilege of companionship, paid or unpaid. Boundaries can be blurred for a variety of reasons. Life is complicated and relationships are sometimes complex, including those we have in this industry. While the blurring of boundaries isn't the norm, people are people, and sometimes people meet in this profession and become friends, develop relationships, get married, break up, reach out to each other for help and/or support and genuinely enjoy each others' company. We're all vulnerable, and our hearts are tender. This isn't the only profession where boundaries can be and are sometimes blurred. Any caring type profession has these issues as well (nannies, nurses, care-givers, therapists, doctors, etc.). It's an interesting question for sure, but I doubt you'll get much response. When those boundaries are blurred it really is a privilege and a gift. It should be respected as such. :)

Not entirely sure where to start here- My first rec of my first SP encounter. From browsing this site for a while, I had come to the decision that I wanted to see Malika. Being that I live out of the country and can be a bit neurotic, I set up my late July date in late April, which I gather is a bit unusual, but Malika was understanding of my worries and such. I've received several of these calls as well (reminds me of this thread on internet scams). Strange, as the time i mentioned that i ask "which PC is that that sends you signal about the O.S.? I use an Apple comp", they either insisted i look at my PC or mumble and hang up.

My most favorite thing to do is to say "hold on a sec" and put the phone down. Then I go about my business and "forget" they are still on the line. Most hang up after 10 minutes, but the longest was 45 minutes.

I just want to say that I am shocked by the level of hobbyists saying they are approached by SPs to "come visit me,I need money" or "Haven't seen you in a while, miss ya"... Seems highly unprofessional! I would have to think that if these particular women cannot exude discretion, they may have chosen the wrong profession. JMHO, discrete is the first thing an SP should be, and reaching out to clients is not discrete. In these cases, even if they are soliciting you for paid visits, they are already blurring the lines by initiating contact. Most of the lovely ladies here will tell you that isn't classy. I won't even reply to a missed call or text if I received it more than 30mins ago! DISCRETION, DISCRETION,DISCRETION! I understand some SPs may struggle financially for whatever reasons, but it's just so unprofessional to approach potential clients who did not approach you first! It's been my personal experience that placing an ad (be it here on cerb, or EC or BP, whatever!) will generate visitors, no need to "harass" hobbyists. For the record, I would never want to be romantically involved with someone whom I met via this industry. Like some of the other SPs have stated, we kind of live double lives... and to be brutally honest here; if it's Alexxxis you are falling for, you're not in love with ME.

Additional Comments:

Word of caution about insisting on the search... The "search before you ask" thing.. I have seen many forums about my various hobbies wither and die over the years. The biggest reason is senior members insisting not to answer new questions of newbies, and eventually the amount of new members slows and stops and new threads decline, and the forum dies. While a new thread about a question that has already been answered might be annoying to some ( I still cannot figure out why), believe it or not it is needed to keep the momentum of a forum going for the long term. Just my thoughts....

I feel that the ladies rates are the initial points of my interest. Not because I am cheap or looking for a deal, but the rates are pretty standardized within this industry, of course taking into account geographic location and whether or not the lady is travelling. If I see a rate that is way below the standard, I will wonder why, for a moment, and then move on to the next ad. Once I have seen the standard rate, I look for a description of her (I like spinners). The last thing I look for is the list of services, but this isnt really important because if the first two items have been met, I am ready to book.... The only thing that would hold me back from booking is location, this is how I would start my communication for booking. So, a bit long winded, but yes, it is important to list your rates and pics, and services. This way I wont waste your time and you mine :)

For me, it's always 5 mins before the appt is when I get nervous. I find just being in a good mood in general helps me and first impressions are everything. I always greet my guests with a kiss as an icebreaker.

When a provider allows a client insight into her personal life it is a given that it is a privilege and therefore the information is not to be disclosed to the general public unless she herself has posted about it previously. Just because one person is privy to private information doesn't mean the community is in need of knowing. I do realize that you didn't give out information that would identify the SP to us but I'm sure you have received (or will) PMs asking who he speaks about. We never know who will say what to whom which is why we guard and protect all that is precious to us from clients. Just don't go there. She has obviously fallen into difficult times, it needn't become the topic of the week. Discretion is a verb and it goes both ways... cat
