To be honest, if people kept their encounters instead of cancelling on short notice, more ladies would probably come for a visit to PEI. It is hard to justify a trip there when everyone, except for a few gentleman think it is ok to book and cancel with zero notice.

No not all, if that term is being used in a thread (See Cowboy's Diary) Most of those comments are really saving gents the hassle of dealing with fake ad's and scams, or in fact rip off artists. I think there is nothing negative about anyone stating see CK's Diary. In fact saving someone actual harm,or getting ripped off is a benefit to ALL of the gents here on this board that may want to use other sites looking for ladies, he has our best interests. BTW CERB is a recommendation board not a review board. ;)

I think the overall quiet nature of the boards here is probably responsible for that, Katherine. Often you can go more than a week with no changes here, so people forget to check. It's a circular problem because no activity actually causes people to stop checking, and then when there is activity people don't notice it and SPs are likely to think that there is no local demand.

Got the opening and closing paragraphs written as well as the poem written for the family Christmas letter. This letter's been written every year since 1949 by my mother. Due to her advancing dementia this is the second year we "kids" have ghost-written it. We agreed that as long at Mom and Dad are alive there will be a letter. I do my bits. My sister edits it. My brother sees to printing and distribution. Dad signs the finished product. That this needs to be done sucks (rather than her being able to do it) I'm honoured to be able to help.

For myself, I am more likely to visit in summer/spring months. The reason being 2 fold: 1. I have a cottage so it is a win win no matter if I have many visitors, 2. If I do end up with cancelations, no worries...I will head to the beach:) My visits there have gone both ways.... Busy as heck...or too many no shows. If anyone else notices, hotels are very expensive ( maybe winter is cheaper ) so for half of the "inquiries" who actually do arrive, it just doesn't make it :( You can not compare local rates when hotels, restaurants and toll bridges are to considered:( I have cherished friends here, and may plan another visit during winter, but will be at a limited availability. Most ladies here, will advertise for at least a week or 2...why contact us 3 days after we leave? DATES ARE ALWAYS STATED ON ADS...

Not knowing the thread, I will say that we have all been there at one point or another. It is a community here filled with colorful personalities, and sometimes we clash with a few...but then again a few weeks later....we come back together again. Much like siblings, we can disagree, get hurt, or upset, but there is always someone else who understands you. Or we come together and learn the other person a bit better. My mom is 84, lives alone, and called me tonight because her new furnace stopped working. My brother went down first but couldn't get it working, so I drove the 10 miles to her place, put 40 liters of diesel fuel in the tank, bled it, and got it fired up. She wanted to pay me for the fuel and I refused......reminding her of how many times she and dad helped me over the years. Then I sat down with her and went over her bank statements. The part that sucks? Mom was sharp as a tack all her life and now is slowly starting to lose her memory. It's time for the son to become the parent and she deserves it.

Yes and No, if it was bad where it was bait and switch (Fake Photos) or you got put into a dangerous encounter like being robbed or threatened (and you are an established member) you can report it in the correct area. If it was just not worthy of a recommendation or you just want to complain or warn others that the service was below your standard then other sites exist for this - cerb is not the place for that. No, this is a flaw as people do change but if we allowed this then it gets abused. Basically when members look for are RECENT reviews, people will continue to ADD comments to recommendations if they are worthy. A recommendation thread that has not been updated in over a year is often a RED FLAG to many of the members here. We do allow PM's when SOLICITED (Someone asks for specific info) to be sent. For instance if someone says "Does anyone have info on...." and you have some info that may be negative you can PM the person and share this info since they asked for it. An established member can also comment "Based on my recent experience I can not recommend" publicly (but nothing more) if people want more info from you they can PM you. What we want to avoid is anyone slandering someone or just being unreasonable. many guys will have bad experiences cause they have really insane expectations (we have all seen them) some guys show up with Body Oder and crotch rot and complain cause the lady would not offer them a BJ or nasty rotting teeth and she denies him kissing... etc... it happens SOOO OFTEN. These guys will make the MOST NOISE about a lady and try to damage her reputation. Cerb is friendly and positive cause we will not have any part of that.

Owning a farm and having kids.........it's been a ride, for sure. New calves that need names and attention- especially preemies. Litters of kittens every time I turned around and being torn between showing them to my kids or praying the kids didn't find them. Accident-prone foals. Baby birds......omfg......my kids would find them, bring them to me, we'd work out a mothering routine for them, and then my kids would disappear to grampies house for a few days.....grrrr. Friggin' things were usually too young when they were found and they would usually die just before my kids got home, but the kids just moved on to the next adventure without a "thanks for trying, dad"! Dogs....love 'em. I grew up with Border Collies and my current girl is now 15 and showing it. Loves the indoors in the wintertime (like me) and, when the time comes, my wife will have to take her to the vet because I cannot. I'll bury her on the farm in a special spot and cry when nobody's watching. My wife has a useless furball that she loves and spoils (okay, I kinda like her, too) that is a Lhasa Apso- Schitzu cross.....sorta like a cat. I think it took me about 30 seconds, and that included me taking the time to load the photos, which often does take time. If any sp is finding it more complex, just don't tick off any of the options and put all the info in the ad. I copy and paste my existing ad from the other section, and it gave me all my formating, centreing, italics and bolding, just as in the original. That's why it doesn't take me any time to post an ad anyway, I just reuse the same info, since i actually do not change (much), :) most online advertising sps should be familiar with the format of placing ads on this new Beta version, imo, and there shouldn't be a really big disconnect between the old version, the new one, and especially other advertising sites. There are similarities in this new version from a variety of other sites, including the checklist forms.
