Every few years, I would decide to make myself a sweater. But I'd pretty much just figure out a pattern myself, and always wound up with ginormous, chunky sweaters that could double as homeless shelters--even if I always loved them and lived in them the colder days of the year. This year, I finally got around to making my first sweater from a published pattern. Voila!! I was able to adjust a bit for areas where regular sizing doesn't fit me (I'm too long in the waist, too long in the arms), but I whipped off four lovely sweaters that I'm really happy with! Two crew necks and two v-necks. Tonight, I'm putting the finishing touches on a knitted tee for spring. And I already have the yarn for a second one. WHY didn't I ever try this sooner?? Next? Crochet!

I've now got my ticket, and I'm excited to see everyone again! Should be a fun night!!!

No matter the laws, economy, etc, there will always be gentlemen looking for companions, especially someone new. Yes things have changed, the key is to change with them. Last but not least, enjoy those you meet, most of us are intuitive and can tell when we are wanted/liked, return clients are what keeps us going and imho, they are better than any reco's. The dog I adopted from the spca was supposedly spayed, but wasn't. I took her in this week to be spayed. She is not doing well and needs additional emergency surgery. She is so lethargic and won't eat. The blood work suggests she has internal bleeding. Thankfully when you adopt, they give a free pet insurance trial. So it will cover 80% of the bill. I feel bad for her though. She's had a rough couple of months being at the shelter and now this. Her heart is broken and I hope she doesn't give up.

Its the simple little things that make me happy. When someone thanks you for doing extra that is not your job. When someone makes you smile when your having a bad day. I have seen Birdman and Grand Budapest Hotel. Hard for me to go for a choice for best picture because I have not seen all the movies, but Birdman was impressive according to me. Many things in the way it is directed could have gone south, but work very well. Michael Keaton is amazing in it. I have no cable or satellite - got rid of it a few months ago because I was fed up - but I miss watching shows like the Golden Globes and the Oscars. I have told this story here before on CERB in some thread but I will tell it again because it was in fact a first meeting... A few years ago I was meeting a lady for the first time and if I am honest I was pretty nervous... I though I had everything pretty well covered... shower... shaved... card with a donation in it...
