I must admit, I hate the automated censor too... but the simple fact is that what Mod said about the cost of lawyers and the impact of a zealous LE person who's gone on a mission is true, and unanswerable. As for losing members - my feeling is that that was something that began before the laws changed, and has actually picked up again over the last few months. People come and go (and come back) in this industry all the time, and for all sorts of different reasons. The laws undoubtedly silenced some, but I think other issues - usually unique to each individual - have been more important. Hell, I don't post anything like as much as I used to...

A lady entering a hotel discretely really has nothing to worry about. And the hotel wouldn't even know she is there to see you, well not unless you tell the front desk, or your (or her) behaviour (ie loud, a lot of ladies entering/leaving your room throughout the day/night etc) draws attention The only concern really is if a hotel has key card access for the elevator If it does, you may have to meet the lady in the lobby, or better still the hotel bar/lounge/restaurant I've hosted out calls at many hotels and the lady has had no issues getting to my room. Even in some cases having to walk right by the front desk. It is takes a lot of work to lose weight, trust me I know, but you really have to find what works for you. Gyms, Stationary Bikes or treadmills are mind numbing to me, Even with the TV on watching something, it's pure torture, I go nuts!!! Repetitive movements over & over & over again...I'm getting aggravated just thinking about it. Losing weight is as simple as calories in/calories out. I've heard that weigh loss is 50% what you eat and 50% working out but these past 3 months I've realized that it's more 80% of what you eat and 20% of working out. I'm down 60lbs from 2 years ago (yes i'm boasting :P) and 30 of that has been from the last 3 months (was 32lbs but Christmas holidays you know). After all these decades of trying what works best for me, I finally landed on one on one Kickboxing, which is basically almost an hour of Cardio 3 times a week. All that torturous work, 3 times a week, amounts to about 3-4 lbs a week in weight loss, If I'm strict on what I eat. If I waiver slightly then it's only 1-2lbs and sometimes none. As most of you know, if you are not lucky enough to eat whatever you want and still maintain a normal weight, your lifestyle has to change to maintain the weight loss. You can't diet, you have to change the way you eat forever and incorporate some kind of regular activity to stay in shape, being skinny doesn't mean your healthy either. I still have 60lbs to go for my goal weight and what scares me is keeping it off once it's off. I can't continue to take one on one training indefinitely, it gets really expensive but it's worked for me, I enjoy going and haven't even convinced myself to quit. If I have to sacrifice vacations and material things to reach my goal, then it has tp be worth it. I haven't been this weight in close to 20 years so there's no turning back now. Hopefully I'll hit my goal by June/July and then the real hard work will start.... Well after I celebrate with a Nice Juicy Steak, fully loaded Baked potato, Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing a Beer and maybe a couple of Cannoli's for dessert . :)

Those other sites if run from canada are still at risk as the FUNDS when a payment is made if those funds come to Canada it means nothing where the site was hosted.... unless those funds stay in a offshore holding company or financial offshore account they are still screwed if transferred to Canada technically its proceeds of crime and worst of all if they are brought into canada in another way it could be tax fraud or money laundering charges they could be looking at. Hosting in another country helps protect you guys, not necessarily the site owner if they remain in Canada. Why? it is VERY VERY difficult for one countries law to subpoena a hosting company outside of the legal borders of that country to try to acquire server logs. In most cases those companies have no legal obligation to hand over that info. If it's for a murder case or something really big interpol (International police) would be used but for server logs for this sort of thing I can't imagine it would get much priority or any allowance! Now on the flip side say local police want your IP cause of something you posted, they can subpoena the owners of the site requesting specific info on that ONE member and the owners would be obligated to handing that over (if the owners lived in canada) and if they refused to hand those over they could be facing charges of obstruction. As far as I know the sites with the .cc and other domain names are still RUN in canada (May be harder to track down the owner as the .cc domain privacy may be protected better but tracing a payment made would be a fairly easy way to find the owner ... who claims the payment). I think it makes it more difficult to find and prosecute the owner but not impossible. P.S. domains ending in .ca fall completely under Canadian law (why we changed from cerb.ca to lyla.com) .com domains are USA jurisdiction. The Canadian courts could force a owner of a .ca domain name to shut down the site, they can not force you to shut down a .com site. The US government can do that but why would they for a issue on a site outside of legal boundaries of the US laws. What is done on here pertaining to Canada is not breaking any USA laws.

Perhaps, but with all due respect, the government (Parliamentarians) make the laws - enforcement of those laws is left up to the discretion of the individual police forces across the country. So far, it seems that LE has taken a rather prudent approach by focusing only on sex trafficking, underage individuals etc. as they should. The mandate letter given to the Minister of Justice by the PM includes reviewing changes to criminal law and sentencing over the past decade. That would include C-36. It would be expected that this will be done in the first 24 months so that any controversy evaporates before the next election.

In the sting, during the booking process, the 'sp' was telling the potential clients that they were under 18. At least one of the guys charged who was asked by media said that he felt more like he was being forced to go see her, as he'd declined more than once, and felt that the texts would show that. might be a story, might be true. I know that when they did this in Victoria, they only had 2 guys show up, and one of them was ESL and had asked if the 16 was legal age, and been told yes it was OK. being from another country, he was being led to the sting (probably because no one was showing up) And that victoria sting, was done prior to c36 because yes, of course it was, and still is, illegal to solicit the services of anyone under 18. and yes, it is and was possible to charge them under the original criminal laws, and would be criminal after the 3 laws were repealed by the SCoC, no one changed minimum ages. I think the majority, not all, of these guys should have gone to court. i realize it is an embarrassing process, but i think that many of them could have pushed the process of this sting, and shown that LE was luring, not the other way around. i know that the old laws were pushed to ridiculous lengths until the courts shut LE down for how liberally they were applying the public solicitation law against sps and clients. In one court case, they charged a guy who was in his car and blinked his lights on and off as 'public solicitation'. that being decades ago, they pissed off the courts with all the frivolous charges, and things changed. and what they don't mention is the vast majority of the callers on that fake ad declined to proceed or offered advice to the underage 'teen' to stop. and it isn't 'many European countries" it is a handful of countries, and it has been proven multiple times over in those countries to not work. and cause more harm to sex workers, and more corruption at all levels of the 'enforcement'.

To me an SP friendly hotel is one that includes the following features: A discrete entrance - for example the Delta in St. John's has underground parking and you can take the elevator right up to the ladies floor without going through the lobby Allows after hours (evening) access without cardkey Parking easily available A bonus is a good resturant so that you can order a great room service meal for longer encounters Having said that I find that while some hotels don't offer all of these amenities I have never really had a problem with hotels they exist to welcome people so it's normally not a problem to glide in and out without any notice unless either you or the lady you are visiting do something to attract attention to your self... walking through the lobby is not really attention getting in my experience. Just my Opinion

I've been using this picture a lot :) as it has my favourite features... but it deserves to be here, too.

There is a difference between legalization and decriminalization. Decriminalization is what we want... to have the same labour laws as any other form of labour. We already have laws on exploitation and human trafficking. Legalization means imposing laws and regulations specific to our trade. It may sound like a good idea, but if you look at areas like Nevada where brothels are regulated, you see things like workers not being able to leave the brothel for a set amount of time, unless they are under surveillance (eg. someone is with them) for fear that they could engage in sex off-site and nullify the mandatory testing done at the brothel. There are many reasons why people enter this industry; some people have criminal records (often prostitution charges) and regulating the industry means they might be barred from continuing to work legally, thus sending them further underground.
