If you could go back in time and tell your 19 year old self something, what would it be? Is there something that you did or did not do that would impact your life today? So if only you could tell your younger self anything what would it be? Myself I would said to stay in school a little longer and learn more about accounting. I consider myself a smart person but I'm not worth much in accounting and wish I would have learned more about it. When, where, how to invest and spend my hard earned money.

Personally my opening txts go as follows: Good Morning/Afternoon ______________, how are you ? My name is _______________; and I saw your ad online. I was wondering what more you could tell me ? I find I get good responses from that. Being pleasant and polite will take you far. I cannot stand; and wont reply to responses that just go straight into rates and "menu" or one word replies. If a lady cant engage me through txt there is no way she will be able too in person. Just me and my way of doing business.

I typically politely ask for rates and availability. I usually then try to ask a couple questions about the kind of service I might be looking for. Part of that is to make sure her and I are on same page about service and price, other part is to get a sense of their personality. Are they all business, slow responses, responses that don't answer the question, do they seem fun, flirty, are they going to be rush rush rush, etc. BUT Having seen the texts the providers receive I see a lot of frankly rude or at least crude texts, lots of time wasting conversations, lots of people asking for stuff like bare services or discounts or trades (drugs). I would think if you polite and not wasting their time then they should be more than willing to chat with you. In my experience though, getting slow or no response is very common. Unsure why but I just move on. I am willing to try a couple times to get an answer but after that I don't bother with them anymore. Also once you've started the conversation someone who is always super slow to respond (like consistently many many minutes between responses), I usually move on. Their mind is elsewhere or they've got conversations going with other clients, or whatever but it's enough of a turn-off I move on. I'm meaning once they respond to my text, if I text them back in seconds and then each response from them is 5-10min I assume my business is not a priority for them and move on. On the other hand, anyone who's a quick responder with friendly flirty texts, I'm very likely to book with them and usually tell them how much I appreciate their quick responses. Again, I'm not talking first response, but how fast they respond once a conversation is started.

Know and understand that while you may see yourself as fair, kind, nonjudgmental, inclusive in how you live your life that you will be impacted by the accepted norm and practises of the culture you were raised in and will not see the things that you do as unfair, judgemental and excluding of others so you need to regularly examine your life and how it impacts others... seek out people. From a different background then you an build a trusted relationship of honesty that will allow them to remind you when something you do is hurtful to others. Finally... no one is perfect we are all flawed humans and this is a good thing as it gives all of us room to grow and learn. Your job is to be the person you can be. Just my Opinion

Just a a random question. And I know I will never get the true answer. How many service providers do you believe have fake accounts on this site and have written their own glowing reviews or comment on public threads to boost their own interests? Have you ever caught anyone doing this?

Some warning signs for fakes & scammers 1) If they only have an email address that's a warning sign 2) The pictures just look too polished that's a warning sign 3) Reverse images searches show the pictures used all over the place 4) After contact they want a deposit or you to go to a verification site that's a warning sign 5) They instantly agree to any special request that's a warning sign 6) They offer a combination of rates and service that seems to good to be true 7) Check Lyla obviously There's also a wide variety of problems you can encounter A) Fake ads B) Scammer ads C) Ads showing one woman but on arrival it's another D) Promising more than they deliver I find spotting the outright fakes isn't hard it's finding the scammers and bait-n-switch providers that's more tricky. I differentiate fake vs scammer as: - A fake ad is an ad for a person that doesn't exist at all in your city - A scammer ad is for a person who's local but has no intention of providing service and just wants to steal your money

I went to see her in Saint John. Arrived at hotel room, was pitch black in the room. This made me uneasy, as I thought someone else was in there. She turned the lights on, the said you must take a shower that's the rule. I replied, oh we are showering together ? She said no. I promptly grabbed my cash that was laid out and pit my shoes back on. While I was doing this she called someone saying that I wont take a shower. This sounds like a setup to me.

A red flag for me is when an account is very new with no recommendations or posts besides the one for a new service provider. For example, if an SP has just started posting in the city or is new to the city, and the same day a “new” account here on LYLA posts a recommendation for said SP. I have also noticed that a new account will leave (sometimes) contradictory reviews when compared to a review by an established member. In that case I go with the established member’s review and tread carefully. Hasn’t fainted me yet. Those with terrible service and con artists are getting smarter and I honestly think that they are starting to deceive those of us on this site who want not only a positive experience but also a safe and legitimate provider. I usually start off with: "Hi ____, my name is _____. I am __ [years old], do you have any availability on ____[day of the week] for ___ [30/60/90 minutes]?" Fill in the blanks. It appears you jumped right over the preliminaries and right into the details. I wait for them to provide the details.
