  1. Well, if you're in love. then I suggest living together, getting married, have an open relationship.... whatever turns your crank and both parties agree to and find fulfilling. Of course any of these options will be more expensive than the current situation. This is the voice of experience here.... to quote my dear friend Zorba the Greek: "Am I not a man? And is not a man stupid? I'm a man, so I'm married. Wife, children, house--everything. The full catastrophe."
  2. Happy New Year to you Cato! And it's good to see you back. It was great to meet you as we celebrated our memories of Barb's at the club.
  3. I agree with @Phaedrus' comments. This excellent interview - thank you SWAN and also to @lydiahardwood for putting these important issues in front of us. I will be thoroughly reviewing SWAN's website and sending a 'message of kindness' to their 'message of hope board'. Many of the points here took me back to the discussions around the passage of Bill C-36 and our resulting law regarding sex work: now we have a 'Nordic' model which makes sex work more dangerous for the providers and has likely exacerbated labour trafficking by putting it out of sight while sex frafficking (for which there were already existing laws) may not have been impacted at all. Many of the arguments made in support of Bill C-36 conflated trafficking and sex work - so sad that Joy Smith and Peter MacKay were given such voice. Apparently there are other areas than Covid management that we should be paying attention to New Zealand on.
  4. I've seen her twin sister for a few dates.... she's left handed though. Your pic has inspired me to consider a duo, RG!
  5. I totally agree with this. Let's keep our local restaurants from going under and save their employees from losing their positions! Thanks to @WildTiger for this excellent suggestion. I'm patronizing my local run and owned restaurants.
  6. Yes. Be sketched out. Since you're new to this site spend some time familiarizing yourself with it and review the various forums and the different locations to inform yourself what's available to help you here. Take a look through the 'New to this?' forum: https://www.lyla.ch/forum/157-new-to-this-things-you-should-know/ The instructions on verifying pictures by @Greenteal is very helpful. The link you provided from the phone number indicates caution is in order. Anyone advertising 24/7 availability is a red flag to me. Party friendly indicates drug use so take that for what it's worth. Given the travel situation in/out of PEI also raises questions for me. Not many 'university students' can host from a 'luxurious condo' and as a last straw the website link she provided in the ad goes to an amateur porn site.... Lyla is a 'positive' recommendation site so you shouldn't expect to see any blatantly negative info other than cautions in the warnings areas for each locale. I'd be willing to bet that if you were to attempt to arrange a visit you'll be asked for a deposit and no visit will occur but advise against wasting your time. Welcome to the site and you've got a little homework to do!
  7. This is not a hijack... but isn't exactly random. It's for all the fellows asking for massage info who won't (don't) do their homework nor simpler contact the provider.... (Peter Sellers is my man)
  8. Agreed. Even though he may be a good kid, he's rarely off the naughty list. :)
  9. Just helping out @rykky to ensure his nomination of @Sugar Kayne makes it into the draw!
  10. This is a good point. If you review the profile of a poster you can see their join date, most recent visit date and their content posts. If you do this for the poster immediately above mine you'll see that it took five years to make the first post and all five of the posts have a common theme.... This doesn't inspire any confidence in their posts or opinions.
  11. Mine will be a very quiet one this year. A distanced wave from their front porch from my kids (one with an almost toddler) or maybe a call/facetime/zoom with them. For the past three years we've gathered to help serve Christmas dinner to the homeless and those on their own at a local church. Given my underlying medical conditions I'll practice strict social distancing this year. This song may seem a little sad on the surface but a thoughtful listen identifies many ways, those of us who are able to, can help the less fortunate. That is what Christmas Spirit is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chTMOuuUZi4 I asked Stan to play this for me at a post-concert house party not long before I spent my 'first Christmas away from home' - I spent it winter camping, above treeline, in the mountains of northern Scandinavia. If Ottawa gets any snow soon I may reprise that trip. Peace on Earth is quite easy to observe out in the remote, snowy woods. Stay safe, be peaceful and enjoy this season of giving!
  12. @lydiahardwood a timely day to start this thread. My Ottawa Independent Companions calendar (such gorgeous pictures) inform me that today is the "International Day to End Violence and Sex Workers". It's important to recognize there's 'financial violence' of many forms in this business. Just sent a donation of support and acknowledgment to OIC and I didn't use my Visa card.... though no doubt Visa has my bank by the short and curlies.
  13. A strong point. I'm not planning on using newspaper and duct tape on my dick not placing gifts in a rubber.... @SarahAlexxx always makes me smile and I'm sending best wishes and happy wrapping :)
  14. Your question seems to indicate that you intended to post this in the Massage discussion forum (this is Escorts) but you'll get an indication of who you might be interested in by reviewing the ladies' profiles on the CMJ site. I haven't been in recently because my regulars are on hiatus. You need to be a member to see the profiles so if you're not just go in, join and the receptionist can likely steer you in the right direction if you ask. I believe most massage parlours have implemented various Covid protocols.
  15. I'm thinking of @Exotic Touch Danielle and sending holiday best wishes. I haven't met her (yet, begone Covid!) but I have a heart-on for her.
  16. Thanks to @AdrianaMaxwell_TO for sharing this with us. I have to admit you may have inspired me to establish a twitter account! As always @lydiahardwood my ongoing appreciation and thanks too. Keep up the good work
  17. A thin wedge of a certain citrus fruit can ensure you get covid and lyme disease at the same time....
  18. I posted this in the 'In the News' forum but for ladies advertising here, in case you missed this: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/costofliving/cold-chain-logistics-difficult-decisions-and-the-changing-demands-sex-workers-face-from-covid-19-1.5820072/sex-workers-and-how-they-are-adapting-to-the-covid-19-economy-1.5820446
  19. This was broadcast on CBC radio on Nov. 29. It's a good listen and provides some very interesting perspectives. I feel this article goes a long way towards acknowledging the challenges for SWers and the stigma and judgement this business faces. The comment that "everything is a fetish for somebody" made me laugh and smh at the creativity and strength that SWers bring to this business. How very hard they work is also clearly identified. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/costofliving/cold-chain-logistics-difficult-decisions-and-the-changing-demands-sex-workers-face-from-covid-19-1.5820072/sex-workers-and-how-they-are-adapting-to-the-covid-19-economy-1.5820446
  20. Yeah, the Canadian Army.... drive with your lights on during the day, your lights off at night and they take away your watch after 30 years...
  21. Welcome to the board @JJD I realize my reply is later than you may have helped. Not sure if you're just new to the board or also new to the industry. Perhaps you've been to Rabbit already and found your own answers. A close reading of this whole thread will give you good answers to your questions with the proviso in this business that it's always YMMV. Hopefully you've been and had fun!
  22. .... and there are a few other days that end in y..... just sayin'
  23. Hello Michelle: time wasters have always been an issue and they're not likely to disappear. I believe there are a number of threads that address some of the issues and techniques to manage them. Here is one which is relatively recent and you'll see some suggestions in it: It is posted just a few threads below this one you've initiated. Speaking as a client from Ottawa I don't have suggestions that are as valuable as those from other SW's. Time wasters cause problems for both sides of the business.... while there are problems on both sides (fake ads - and I don't mean 'false pics' by that, the need for discretion is understood. Neither behavior does anything to make SW any easier to conduct nor access.
  24. Ditto for me..... but they were mostly Beta, with some VHS.....
  25. WOW!!! @clearbluesky15 thank you so much for such a balanced, understanding and thoughtful interview. Excellent, helpful and right on point. All good suggestions. If you publish a book or article I'm buying copies for myself and people who need to have their eyes gently opened. Your answers are so well written. You clearly make the world, and this board, a better place. And again another thanks to @lydiahardwood for conducting and posting these inspiring interviews. Your contributions and hard work do not go unnoticed, Hardwood! (,,,, see what I did there?) :) p.s. @clearbluesky15 I found Amber Ruffin near the start of lock down through my youtube problem. Now she rocks my world, especially during these times, and always with a smile.
