You know you're old if you can name all these charaters:

kotter1.jpg

Bottom two: Vinnie Barbarino, Freddy "Boom Boom" Washington.

Middle Row: Mrs and Mr Kotter.

Top Row: Juan Epstein, the Principal and Arnold Horschak.

Damn... and that was without looking it up on the interweb thingie.

Back at ya with this one....

Emergency!%20Cast%202.jpg

Additional Comments:

My kids say any woman I date must be older than half my age plus ten, then they won't be creeped out....but you know you're old when your kids are making these kinds of unreasonable demands!! :icon_sad:

Mine said half plus 7... and I think that is unreasonable too...

You know you're old when the first "pop" record you bought was a 78 by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers. And the first "45" you bought was Roy Orbison - "Blue Angel" and there was a division in your high school class as between Elvis and Buddy Holly.

btw - Rory Gallagher was an Irish blues guitarist.

Ireland produces great musicians, singers, writers, playwrights, poets and beer.

I wonder if the beer has something to do with it????

Almost forgot - football (soccer) players.

Officers Pete Malloy and Jim Reed, and of course, thats Adam 12

"Adam 12 a 211 in progress, Adam 12 handle code 3"

And why does this song just seem appropriate for this thread

You know your old when, jeez old dog what wouldn't you give to have that '56 cornet now? ; sorry I mean, you know you are old when to text a buddy saying that you would love to see this lady but you think she is too young for you. He replys that you should lie about your age and you think about cutting your age in half, then think your still too old.

You know your old when you go to parents night at your nephew's high school to meet your old teacher who is now his teacher and be informed that he is retiring after this semester.

You then realize that he was younger when he was your teacher than you are now.

You know you're old when this was the first word processor you ever worked with back in 1981 - the NBI 3000.

You know you're old when you can say you were a teenager when this album came out and you wore it out playing it (thank goodness for cd's)

Ok, so I'm obviously not old, but you know you're old when you make references to the Chicken Lady, Sir Simon Milligan and his man-servant Hecubus, and the Sizzler Sisters and your fellow classmates ask what you're talking about.

ahhhhhh.... here is some trivia for ya....

300px-Saturdaynightlivewithhowardcosellad.jpg

saturday-night-live-the-complete-first-season-20061204025746412-000.jpg

the "original" Saturday Night Live came out on ABC, just a few weeks before NBC launched "Saturday Night". ABC's SNL lasted 18 episodes.... and when it was cancelled, NBC changed the name of their show from "Saturday Night" to "Saturday Night Live"

ABC SNL had Howard Cosell as its permanent host and featured the "the prime time players" including Bill Murray and Christopher Guest. NBC countered with the "not ready for prime time players."

First musical act on the ABC SNL??? Who other than the Bay City Rollers performing... S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y NIGHT!

They sold millions of records, but you won't find anyone in our age range who will admit to having bought one or listening to their songs on the radio. Scotland's most embarrassing export, I would say.

Another band we listened that we at least admitted to listening to then, but not now.

But for some reason we do go to the tribute shows and say it's because our auntie wanted to go.
