Hi Everyone, I wish we can all get along, we are all here for the same reason and have that in common. We all have different opinions and think different things, but that's what makes us all so special and brings us together here. I hope we can all understand that we are all different..Let's all be equals and be nice, keep the peace and all that sweet moosh stuff. PROSTITUTION IN CANADA IS VERY MUCH LEGAL! PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT AND DO NOT SPREAD BAD INFO! Some of you seam to be getting a little heated over this thread and I just want to remind you all that cerb is to remain a friendly, helpful and inviting place. Anyone disrupting that, starting fights, provoking, flaming, etc... may be suspended or removed. Now... this topic has been gone over again and again and some people just don't get it! Prostitution is very much LEGAL in CANADA the laws however just make it very hard to do legally. -You CAN NOT discuss anything in a PUBLIC PLACE (Internet is not a public place, your hotel room and your house is not a public place and neither is an ad in a magazine or website considered a public PLACE) discussing it on the street or in a hotel lobby or hallway is illegal. If you discuss it in PRIVATE like your hotel room or house it is very much LEGAL. -If you are caught in a place that is COMMONLY used for prostitution (Brothel) then you can be changed. -If you make money as a THIRD part (Pimp/Agent/Driver/etc..) you are LIVING OFF THE AVAILS and that is illegal Anyone on cerb posting UNTRUE facts about this is doing HARM to our community and must be STOPPED. If you pass BAD INFO you cause more problems for EVERYONE. Telling people that prostitution is illegal in CANADA is BAD. Stop watching AMERICAN TV!!! What happens on COPS and those other shows is in the USA (We DO NOT LIVE in the USA) Some municipalities have BYLAWS that license "Escorts" (Not Prostitutes) if so DO NOT use the word "ESCORT" in your ads. Use Courtesan or Prostitute or even Service Provider. If you get caught using the word "ESCORT" they can charge you. Some may try to charge you anyway cause they use this as a way to police the sex trade in a unethical and unconstitutional way.... you can appeal any by law charge and get it tossed out. Remember BY LAWS do NOT have any criminal records, they DO NOT have any JAIL TIME or anything like that. AGAIN... ANYONE SPREADING FALSE LEGAL INFORMATION IS CAUSING HARM TO OUR COMMUNITY AND NEEDS TO BE TOLD THEY ARE WRONG!

Posts (and not just posting advertisements) provide a good insight into a person's personality/intelligence and sense of humour. No offence, but if you don't wish to advertise your services then don't - I have none listed on my website and it has never caused an issue. A gentlemen looking for a companion and not a pick your own menu can read between the lines as to what is available. A website is an invaluable tool and says a-lot about who you are as a companion. If you are that paranoid about getting busted and having things used against you, maybe you are in the wrong profession or need to re-evaluate how you are running your business. I am confused though, you would rather list services than a donation?

The Rep System has been a bit of a thorn in my side for a very long time. There has been many times that I have wanted to give rep points or just give a positive comment through the reputation for this post button. recent example on a particular post but I keep getting this insistent message that I must spread it around. Arggh !!! I am a long time member, please allow a little more flexibility to us. I am not necessarily on all the time, so it makes it hard for me to spread it around. I would hope that I'm not suspended tomorrow for bringing this up again but It really needs a change for the better.

Whew! Sunshine and happiness....let us let bygones be bygones! Sometimes we feel very close to a subject and tend to get very emotional about it. My wish, as the self proclaimed "Fairy God Mother of Joy" is that we all find it in our hearts to first forgive those who "piss us off" and to second, "realize that as intelligent human beings, we can debate without being hurtful!!!? It's nice to see calm heads prevail. As Julia said we are all equals with common interests and goals. Some laws that make this all so difficult ARE there and the fact that they are so damn stupid is something that we all should be aware of and striving to change in one little way at a time. Again, this community has its role and it is because of the openness and exchange of information and opinions of everyone. We just have to think sometimes before we push that submit button.

Not sure I understand why it is interesting!!!. I took some of the services that she offered (like daty, lfk). Also, if you have an account on cerb for example and show pictures and list details, then that is also public, so being worried about a website being used as "evidence" doesn't make sense. Just as an aside, I've seen more problems with SP's using their work phone for personal use as well. By doing this, they increase the risk of being discovered by thus outing themselves eventually to people in their life who make cause them grief. As Cat and others have pointed out, this is where most trouble originates from. If your number is published anywhere on the net, it's amazing what can come up when you google it. I"d be more worried about that when checking into a hotel and list that number when registering, or have the phone on your person when you try and cross the border. But not to get off track, I just have one of the those free websites which is more a convenience for clients to peruse as a backgrounder. I do not book without communicating with them first and making sure they are clear about what type of encounter they should expect and I get a feel as to whether I want to see them. Not trying to start an argument here, but it's not because of the "industry" that these thing happen! Yes, it does look bad, but 99% of the time it has nothing to do with US! That might explain why it seems I'm seeing more nominated posts nowadays than I did in the past. This thread, for example, had two in the first six posts. Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just an observed trend I've been wondering about lately. Personally, I like to use the rep points feature to add little positive comments to someone's posts (where warranted of course). I think it's a convenient and concise way to provide feedback on an entire post. I don't really care about the rep points aspect. Which is probably why my pet peeve with rep points is people handing them out without adding a comment to say why.

I think you hit the nail right on the head and I also submit that if you asked all the top rep. point earners here on Cerb they would say the same thing. It's nice but not required or necessary. They, rep. points, are just another way to show that you agree, disagree or in some cases are just playful with a member of the opposite sex. Are they meaningless...no. Are they the be all and end all...again, no! Bottom line if you go looking for them (rep. points) and are receiving them from others, you are getting them for the wrong reasons.
