Reflecting on some disturbing recent incidents, I've been thinking how important it is for sp's ALWAYS to send a PM confirmation to verify before accepting a claim from someone saying I'm 'so and so'. The person may not be who he claims to be. And it's not only the reputation of impersonated members that's at stake. It shouldn't be necessary to say this, but maybe it is. Please check before accepting a phone or text request. A simple precaution, but an important one.

Good thread Cato, I cant tell you how many people have claimed to be "pistolpete" as well as other well respected members on this board via email, yet when you ask them to PM you they never do. I only book through email, but do verify your board identity via pm, if your going to mislead me about something as small as your board handle what else are you hiding.

Let's face it, no matter what occupation one holds there will always be some form of jealousy. No matter who your friends are there will be some form of jealousy. At some point we all feel a tinge of jealousy at one point or another in our lives, whether it is our best friends natural long hair, our husbands secretary, Your jerk of a boss with a trophy wife, the buff guy with the six pack next to you at the gym or the office geek with seasons tickets to some coveted sport. Yes there is jealousy in the business and there always will be, all one can do is just deal with it and move on. At some point each and every one of us will have dealt with some form of jealousy from another companion/provider. How you handle it, will make it easier to deal with. If you let someone else's childish actions affect you it will in the end effect your business. In the end we are all not for everyone and someone will always have an issue with something you do as an individual. Jealousy is a NORMAL human emotion, everyone has felt it in way way or another. There will always be someone with bigger breasts, a better body, longer legs, better photos, a better wardrobe, more shoes, better writing skills and everything else we get jealous over. Time to let it go.... Everyone will not always get along, but we can discuss things as adults in an undramatic and drama free way. I did read the original. Suffice to say that it related to the kind of behind-the-scenes stuff that we guys generally don't see. And, to be honest, had more to do with the SP/MA equivalent of the kind of office politics that far too many of us are probably far too familiar with. No, it wasn't to do with references. scottthecanuck's post wasn't unreasonable. This was the kind of thread that *could* have degenerated into nastiness, and I read his post as a shot across the bows of anyone who might have been tempted to go that way. It should also be said that that Lany's original post was more of a "why can't the CERB ethos be more widespread" lament than anything else. In summary: move along, folks. Nothing to see here. Sacha...my shake on this is it is worth the experience you want ! More money doesn't get what a fella wants.... no no no ! The overall experience and awesome memories is what is the holy grail "for most".... More money doesn't buy that. For me.... If am drawn to you, for whatever reason that may be then I will book, visit with you and 99.9% of the time I have been one happy camper. Honestly there isn't much of a variance in rates to go with $$ over anticipation of an awesome encounter. At the end of the day....IMO the majority here will go with the gut feeling they get from you with ads, corresponence, PMs emails etc... and the "more $ is better" won't come into play.

Wow. This could be a dangerous question. If I treat this question solely in the way that I would treat it when making a decision on any more common consumer choice, then the answer would be a resounding no, cheaper is not better. I have a strong belief, or perhaps a belief based on experience that one gets what one pays for in most areas of life. In general quality comes with a higher price. In this specific area however my experience probably does not allow me to comment on the question realistically. My choices with the women that I have seen have always been based on their presence on the boards and forums initially, and then based on their personal communications with me. I have never comparison shopped based on donation rates, nor would I do so. In that I realize that I may be in a fortunate position. Once I have decided that I would like to meet someone, their donation rate is what it is and from my perspective is not open to negotiation. If it is beyond what I feel is reasonable then I have the choice of saying thank you but no thank you, not at this time. For this industry, that is a different way of doing business for me. With other consumer items I will commonly comparison shop, will commonly present one rate to a competitor to see if they will match it, and will commonly walk away saying that the cost is out of line or even ask for a deal. For me this industry is different. The women are people first. They provide an awesome service and they deserve nothing less from me than complete respect for them as businesswomen who deserve a fair income. My experience is that if I wish to continue to have the experiences that I value, experiences that include conversation, respect, humour, and ever so much more, then my role is to provide fair compensation for all that they do for me.

I'm not going to comment on the post itself, but from many of the responses I can see why she deleted it.

BCB: I would imagine Lany deleted her original post probably because she saw the potential for it to escalate into something ugly. And your post is an example of that. It's akin to "stirring the pot" and taking jabs at the ladies on this board. Can we just leave it be? It's this sort of negativity that saw people putting words in other peoples mouths, fighting and causing some to be suspended recently.

Blush is now the classiest strip bar in the province. I spent two hours there yesterday and it's a big difference between the old and the new. New carpeting on the stairs. The dirty tables have been replaced by glass topped round bar-height tables. Swivel vinyl bar chairs have replaced the 1990's dirty chairs. The leather sofas have been replaced by lounge bar couches and loveseats. The unused VIP lounge area has been renovated into a private party lounge area with 2 LED screens. The left side of the stage has a similar setup. Both are cordoned off with velvet rope. A lot more LED string lighting everywhere. Main bar and entrance bar look a hell lot more nicer than before. Stage, poles, and lighting look the same. Acoustics and speakers are the same. Place is a little chillier and a lot less seating, all aimed to get customers to have more private dances. Oh and Dave the old bar manager has been re-hired. As for talent, there were a few nice ladies, mix of veterans and new ones. All dancers say the renovations make Blush way more palatable than Angie's. I had a dance with one girl only so didn't find any take-out.

Meh. It completely depends on the person and their comfort. Dress the way you feel and feel good about yourself in whatever you wear. Sexy is in the package, not the packaging.

I watched the movie Pretty Woman last week with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, and it really amazed me in a number of ways. Well, Julia and Richard were not with me , but well, you understand. First and foremost I watched it in such a different context as compared to how I watched it for the first time years ago. Years ago the idea of paid companions was nothing that I had ever considered and years ago the topic of the movie for me came with all of the old stereotypes. This time as I watched it, the entire perspective was different. One way that it was different was with my recognition of how true some of the 'lines' were. One in particular raised my eyebrows when the topic of safe sex was addressed with something along the line of, "Safe all the way, and with me it will be way safer than when you pick up an unknown at the local bar". There have been threads on here on exactly that, and it struck me how perhaps ahead of its time that movie really was. Perhaps the other primary thing that struck me as I watched the film this time around was how realistically Julia Roberts played the role in presenting herself initially as a sex worker but then allowing the person to shine through. That has been my experience here on Cerb, that the person behind the woman allows herself to shine through. How realistic the movie plot and the ending are I am quite unsure of and I expect that the outcome in the movie would be extremely rare in 'real life', but I bet it has happened. No matter what, both then and now, it was kind of a feel good movie. :)

I collect unique things that I love. Not necessarily all the same things but things that reach out to me in some way.
