Let's face it, no matter what occupation one holds there will always be some form of jealousy. No matter who your friends are there will be some form of jealousy. At some point we all feel a tinge of jealousy at one point or another in our lives, whether it is our best friends natural long hair, our husbands secretary, Your jerk of a boss with a trophy wife, the buff guy with the six pack next to you at the gym or the office geek with seasons tickets to some coveted sport. Yes there is jealousy in the business and there always will be, all one can do is just deal with it and move on. At some point each and every one of us will have dealt with some form of jealousy from another companion/provider. How you handle it, will make it easier to deal with. If you let someone else's childish actions affect you it will in the end effect your business. In the end we are all not for everyone and someone will always have an issue with something you do as an individual. Jealousy is a NORMAL human emotion, everyone has felt it in way way or another. There will always be someone with bigger breasts, a better body, longer legs, better photos, a better wardrobe, more shoes, better writing skills and everything else we get jealous over. Time to let it go.... Everyone will not always get along, but we can discuss things as adults in an undramatic and drama free way. I think the subject is a good one, providing everyone stays on topic.

Great idea!! am getting tired of looking at that post myself and I bet many others are. This happenend a long time ago, has been delt with and as Cristy has said she has proved heself to be a great SP. So why should new people see this to question her in this present time. Originally, I was going to pm mod on this, but then thought it might be worth a bit of discussion, to help if a similar situation came up in the future. To start, I don't have any affiliation with Cristy. Whenever I go to the NS forum, the Cristy thread title shows up as the latest post in the NS Warnings subforum, and often I wonder what effect it has with newer users. In the spirit of cerb, mod - if you (or someobe) inserted a new thread (eg. on info that would be useful in avoiding the types of problems that forum section covers), it would push the Cristy thread down one, and off the main NS page. She's a member in good standing, and seems a bit unfair to have it continued to be displayed where it is. My thoughts anyway.

I started working for lululemon part time about 2 months ago, lol, just because I wanted the discount (which is amazing!!!). I only started working 4 hours a week, but now I'm starting to work a lot more. It really is like a cult, lol. They push a lot of things on you, like diet, yoga, working more hours then you can handle, and a lot of mantra stuff, which is a whole other discussion. Other then the cult part tho lol, the people there are all pretty chill, and I love the hoodies, they are like the comfiest sweater ever.

Since SPs set their own rates, I don't think their rates indicate anything other than what they feel generates the right volume of business for them.

Well, certainly if originally she was asking for advice on how to deal with it, I can't see any reason why she should feel pressured to have to delete the topic itself. In the spirit of feeling comfortable enough to do that without getting any backlash, it is an important enough topic for her to have started the thread. Which in itself should make it important to the cerb community, I would think. On the topic of rates, I have yet to see, on numerous forums, behind the scenes or whatever, any attempt by any single sp or group of sps hassling lower rate sps to raise their rates. I am not shy about suggesting to an sp with lower than even the lowest of rates out there that she will reduce the number of low baller callers by a simple increase. That's a safety issue tho. And certainly no one has to pay attention to what anyone else suggests anyway. That a grown woman can post ads, screen callers, and offer services to men from all walks of life, but cannot stick up for herself to another sp is really really hard to believe.

Not to be rude, but if the pants fit well, does it really matter what size they are? Besides Lulu's dont come in S, M or L so I guess that anyone you have offended with your comment, can just disregard it.

Meh. It completely depends on the person and their comfort. Dress the way you feel and feel good about yourself in whatever you wear. Sexy is in the package, not the packaging.

I get what blackhawk is trying to say. The essence being that if a lady will not see people of a certain colour or age, that it should be made known on their ads. It saves everyone a lot of hassle that way. A lot of complaints that guys have are a direct result of false advertising - or incomplete profiles of the ladies. Lay out the rules upfront. It may not read as "kissy kissy lovey lovey", but at least your clients know precisely what to expect before they call or e-mail. That's the heart of the issue, and on that point I agree 100%. I only book through email, but do verify your board identity via pm, if your going to mislead me about something as small as your board handle what else are you hiding.

I did read the original. Suffice to say that it related to the kind of behind-the-scenes stuff that we guys generally don't see. And, to be honest, had more to do with the SP/MA equivalent of the kind of office politics that far too many of us are probably far too familiar with. This was the kind of thread that *could* have degenerated into nastiness, and I read his post as a shot across the bows of anyone who might have been tempted to go that way. Good thread Emily. Thanks for starting it! I think I'm pretty easy to get along with as long as I'm comfortable and feel safe. I have clear standards and requirements that I believe are more than reasonable. I have many clients who have never objected to my screening methods and I'm as busy as I want to be. To me, this means that the things I ask for fit within reasonable parameters. Some men are very reluctant to divulge information that may make them traceable in some way. They're entitled to their views. I don't think that anyone should do things they're not comfortable doing, whether they're a paid companion or a client. I reckon that if my screening requirements are too difficult for someone, he'll find another companion who may be more comfortable with him. What I know for sure is that no one is entitled to see me unless I choose to have the meeting. I turn down almost 75% of those who contact me whether because they want things I don't provide, seem to be time-wasters rather than serious clients, refuse to follow my screening or are disrespectful in some way. Some of the disrespectful ones object to being screened and, rather than saying so politely, insult me by pointing out that I'm just a whore, that I must be planning to set them up somehow or that I'm desperate. These guys are no loss to me! The ones who want to argue about or ignore following basic instructions, whether about screening or directions to my place, too often will inappropriately attempt to control other aspects of our encounter if we meet. I'm not interested in having power struggles with clients.

You ignore these requests. They are simply wasting your time. Or you simply say there will be no more pics, and leave it at that. And you provide discretion and therefor require it, so you are not going to provide a face pic for any reason. To see you, they need to commit and show up so that both of you have better reasons for privacy and discretion. (I tell enquirers asking for more pics that if pics are their sole reason for booking appts, I am not the one for them. I require someone who puts a little more thought into their sessions). You don't have to do anything, in some cases these requests are testing you to see how far you will go. In this biz, being too accomodating, past your own comfort level is a bad thing. For a newer sp, it is dangerous. I know this is an old post, but what you really need to do is spend some time reading many topics in the lounge, the new section, the ads, etc, and learn all the things in a short time that it took some clients and sps years to figure out. It will benefit you in the long run, and keep you safe, and keep you happier doing the work when you learn how to advertise and screen to attract the sort of clients that are going to be the best match for what you provide.
