Firstly, Mistert and Loneskater a fabulous job organizing the social, great venue,well ran, great food and baked goods. Without good people at the helm, events like this don't normally get off the ground. I can assure you 2 that this Social event I attended was organized very well,and everyone acted very positive manner throughout the entire evening, so BRAVO to ALL. To ALL the people contributing to door prizes and donating to Toy Mountain, a huge round of applause to ALL of you!!! It was my first Social attending, and it was a pleasure to be part of, having said that, I'm no longer a Social "virgin " ;), and I look forward to attending again. :) To the gents I met last night, it was great putting names to faces. This is a topic I truly still feel as a foreigner fresh of the boat. First of all, the biggest question I have - who are these elusive people on the Happy Holiday brigade? I've constantly seen the war on Christmas stories, especially on Fox, but who is the enemy? 2. I get there are some companies that are switching for some unknown reason, but who cares about what a store says anyway? As far as I've understood, retail have done an amazing job inserting themselves into the psyche of Christmas, so much so that it's now seen as blasphemy that they would say anything other then Merry Christmas. As someone who has celebrated one Christmas only, for me it was about being with friends, having a nice meal, and catching up. 3. I know a lot of people who don't celebrate Christmas. From new immigrants to those here for a few generations, and not one of them have ever shown their disdain of anything Christmas, and they are definitely not offended when someone wishes them Merry Christmas. 4. What really makes me uncomfortable is that every year, inevitably someone brings up this conversation with me around (like physically around). And it always ends up in a kinda/sorta accusation that people like me are ruining Christmas. I had a professor once who told the entire class that the only note of any kind (card, email, etc) with the words Merry Christmas came from the 9-10 year old Bangladeshi Muslim community newspaper delivery boy. I once got a gift basket at work from the HR manager and he wished me Happy Holidays...I responded with a Merry Christmas and he was surprised that such words would come out from my mouth. I have tons of examples of this sort, where people who do celebrate it don't say it to each other, but hear it from people who don't. I wish people a Merry Christmas every chance I get, but normally I do so a little closer to Christmas, not starting from the first week of December...which is another thing I've yet to figure out. Years ago, after a really bad break up and a friend's half-jokingly suggestion that I see escorts to get over my pain, I entered this hobby. I left when I met the woman who was supposed to become my wife, but we broke up and I married another woman instead :). After two kids and busy lifestyles that had her working mainly in Montreal and me in Ottawa, we split up and, after a promise to myself to never get involved in another relationship ever again, I rejoined the hobby. And it was great. Some bad experiences but overall it was great and worked for me better than any relationship. I could enjoy the company of many women but still have the bed to myself at night which I relished for the last few years. My daughter's struggles with digestion due to stomach cysts and my battle with MS made me rethink my place in this hobby and I announced my retirement tour in September. Although a huge poster on the other board, I joined this one in September because I thought it was more of a community rather than a group of Siskels and Eberts. But now my daughter is healthy and I am in remission following a regression that lasted from May to September and I am showing little effects. The thought of all things coming together has made me rethink my promise to myself. I met someone in my real life who seems like someone I could be with. I try to erase her from my mind by prolonging my time here but the more I try, the less I succeed. Last night, I accepted her invitation to go out and I realized I was kidding myself. That the bed was big enough for two. That although variety is the spice of life, sometimes we got to follow the heart even though it has led us astray before. So when I got home this morning, I decided my retirement party has gone on long enough. There is one person on here who was very nice to me during this time. I think she is a bit of a chameleon as she is able to be everything to almost everyone and it shows in her recommendations. To me, she was fun. I could be myself and spend much of our time laughing and enjoying quality time. She made me realize there is more to human contact than sex and that I was missing out on a big part of life. You know who you are. I will always be grateful. Thanks.

There is a different term for that, and usually refers to situations where no defense or saving is required. The WK reference on review forums is usually thrown at someone who has the decency to step up and make the slinger accountable for not behaving like a human being. There is a pretty good example in this thread lol. In reality, WK is an insult, not something that people actually are or do. It is a way to dismiss someone stepping in and pointing out a poster is rude, potentially a serial rapist, or at best, slandering the other member. Using it as an insult is a way to dismiss whatever that accused WK poster has to say, so they don't have to be accountable for the rude or horrific things they post. It rarely if ever has anything to do with when a poster has actually seen the sp and is posting a counter to whatever accusation or comments have been made about her. It usually comes with a comment like "wow, no wonder she kicked you out and took the donation." after the accused WK reads what the other guy has to say. A WK is a client, and has little interest in getting sps out of the business. :) Apparently you aren't allowed to post anything that might imply that you are on 'her' side, or you may be accused of this. A 'lap dog' is usually reference, in the same derogatory way and for the same reasoning, if the poster has actually seen the sp and/or is her regular :)

I have no qualms about saying "Merry Christmas". It's harmless and if someone is offended by it, then perhaps they should stay home for the "holidays".

All you have to do is talk to the lady when booking your session... I am sure anyone that offers msog in their massage can help... honestly is not an unusual request.... sometime I have even offer this option to the person after talking a bit about their likes.., dislikes..., concerns... as a matter of fact i had an experience like that yesterday...

I have to admit that I get asked this question more and more these days. I'm aware that as an independent we can do what we want, but I do not appreciate the insistence or the handful I have to occasionally deal with in person after I have made myself clear before we meet. Yeah, this is one of those cases where it's easy to talk past each other if we aren't more specific about which of many possible definitions for "white knight" we mean. Looks like Miss Jane is alluding to that occasional tendency of clients to try to act on an SP's behalf to "save" her from "this life". And of course this has built into it several assumptions and ugly implications, to which the white knight himself is blind: "she needs saving!" (implied: "Look how terrible her circumstance are! Nobody could possibly want to live the way she's living!" Built upon several layers of narrowmindedness.) "and I'm JUST the guy to do it!" (implied: "My position in life is superior to hers; her position is inferior to mine." Thrives on and feeds the knight's own ego.) (never said aloud: ) " 'cause god knows she can't change on her own." (implied: she's broadly incompetent and incapable. Once again, it's about the knight's own ego.) It's too bad, because although the knight thinks he's being awesome, just scratching a little at the surface of his intent reveals all of the ego and contempt behind it. And yet the target of the knight's pity may very well have her life, her ethics, her philosophy, and her finances in far better shape than the knight perceives or can imagine. But it's also unsurprising; I see this mindset a lot in in well-off acquaintances who can be clueless and narrow-minded about anything outside the tidy, conventional paths their own lives have followed. I just want to bring my comments to this thread. When I chose to begin this hobby, and I want to thank CERB for that, I valued a lot the values of safety, discretion and in some ways the ethics of the providers that advertize on CERB. The last thing I want to experience with this hobby is being put in a situation where my life, my job and my reputation would be compromised by some people that don't care about safety. We fight against BBFS,, we fight for any unsafe sexual practices,we fight for discretion either from the providers and the hobbiests, we fight against "bait and switch", we shoudl also fight against any other behaviour that put us at risk; and a MA working in a Spa that offers FS or BJs is putting us at risk. I'm not a saint, and when I go to a spa, the emotions of the moment, (let's say that sometimes we think with our penises...) the temptation is real; even "the risk" can be tempting. But in front of judge, when the Ottawa Citizen will talk about the Johns, and your name is on the list, I'm sure that regrets will rise, and the point of no return has been passed. Too late. I appreciate the spas that seems very rigourous about the limits of what the MA can offer, and I have experienced that they stick to it; discretion and safety are the main reasons for me to use their services. Au contraire, when I learned that some MA in some spas offers "more", and I wont even think to get there; for me, these spas are like a mine field where it can explodes in my face any time. I'm a promoter of safe sex, and safe sex is not only a health issue. Why we would put our life and safety at risk when it can be prevented? There are son many possiblities in this business, there are so many indies that offer a range of high quality services in a clear and safe environment, that I don't see any reason to take a risk to ask and get a service that would be illegal. If my expectations is to get the full service, I wont go to a Spa. Period. And if ever, I would hope to have a more extended service, I would ask if the provider offers outcalls.
