If someone wanted to see an SP for 15 mins, how can you NOT expect them to be a clock watcher? You get what you pay for and don't expect the greatest experience that an hour or even a half hour has to offer. If someone is too cheap to pay an extra $40 but wants the extras that the $40 entails, then you have someone who wants everything for nothing and those people are very common on those other sites. Sure, 15 min appt can sound enticing especially if the clients are only there for 10 mins and not take advantage of the SPs time but what about the ones that will only pay for 15 mins and keep pushing it and won't leave? I had someone wanting me to go to their house for a half hour that was very close to my incall and they said they were getting the jacuzzi fired up and were pouring some drinks. This is all supposed to happen in a half hour? I don't think so. lol. It upsets me when guys try to take advantage of my time by attempting to do this. My time is my time and I have a life that not only includes this. I put the effort into providing the experience and when someone asks if I can do better or that's too much, it's insulting. I'm running a business and providing a fantasy at the same time and often the boundaries can get skewed when someone expects more than they're paying for. I find my half hour rate is affordable that is more condensed than the one hour appt but the customer is still having a great experience. If a half hour rate that is under $140 is too much then they can go find someone for a quickie with a mattress on the floor because that's what they're going to get for $60-$80. And the customer will be rushed in and booted out on their ass in 5 minutes. Don't expect a champagne experience on a cheap wine budget. To each their own but don't expect every SP to respond by asking "Can you do better than that rate?" And now it has gotten so bad now according to others ladies who have had guys say to them " I only need 5 minutes of your time, how about $50?" This isn't piece work! These kinds of appts are not for every SP and I'm one of them. I've humbled myself by offering half hours when in the past I would only do a minimum of one hour encounters. Having said that, I felt it was a smart decision because that is where the market is at right now because the business has changed over the years. However now the escort experience is being taken to an all time low with offers of $60-80. Why not just stand on the street? Obviously not but those are street rate prices for an SP's time. I have also found that half hour appts are still good for those who have time constraints and I still quote a fair price for myself given the experience I offer and what the customer will receive. I also have very nice clients who only want a half hour and I really enjoy it. 15 mins appt is pushing it for me and it also adds traffic to an SP's incall location. Think about it.. it takes an SP the same amount of time to set up her location and get ready and she's going to make just above half of what she would make in a half hour session? And on top of that, the SP has to pay for that incall location. Many don't work out of their own home for various reasons. No one thinks of this.. only the fact that we apparently charge too much and aren't "worth it". It takes a lot of money, time and effort to succeed in this business by doing it the right way. Not by the Sp telling someone to make them an offer or vice versa. I'm sure many men out there can appreciate what we do and how we do it and there are others that don't give a flying fig but they want the best of everything for nothing. The rates in Ottawa are so varied right now that the SPs who are willing to make deals are setting the example and this sets the tone for the entire market. In any business, if you lower your price, you are also lowering your standards and expectations. I have certain standards and expectations and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise or how to run my business by telling me my rates are too high. I have a long list of regulars and that is proof right there.

I've been sitting here, reading some of the thought provoking threads regarding ettiquete, whether it be from an initial email, pm, initial meet and greet or an encounter. And one thing continually strikes me. In this service regarding intimacy, why is it some dont recognise the mind body connection? From the very first it begins with nothing more than a thought. Who is she? What does she look like? Will I find a gratifying experience? The excitment in a reply, the nervousness that comes with an initial encounter. Us ladies are no different. Our (my) hope is to seduce, enchant, charm, tease, entice and please you, not only your body but your mind as well. It shows. In the surroundings, the preparation, from the scent I'm wearing to the lingerie I've chosen. All to engage your senses. Sight, smell, sound, and then comes in the ability to have a thought provoking conversation. Now touch, once again, only a thought to begin with, I want to touch (her/him) here, or there. Ect you get the drift...lol I see no rush to reduce the pleasure that can be brought in an encounter from not taking the time to think about what will bring more pleasure. Even "that feels so good", is the mind only enhancing that pleasure. I may not kiss you during an encounter, but it wont stop me from hovering my mouth a half inch from yours asking you only to think about how much you want to.... We often want most what we cant have! lol Our minds are the biggest sex organ in our body. Why not utilize it to its fullest potential? Just my two cents :)

I can't offer an explanation of it's origins, as lip-biting is probably an ancient ritual. It is conceivable that it is pleasurable, as in the photo below, even when there is no second around. ;) Primarily it indicates a nervous habit that signifies some level of unease or part arousal and an innate shyness, and it probably derives its voyeuristic appeal from that. I joined CERB a few months ago and I only made my first post a few weeks ago. While I was "lurking" I learned about the ladies, and learned the ins and outs of the hobby. The key for me to start posting was two-fold. First I changed my username from my usual username for everything to what it is now. Gives me that bit of anonymity against anyone that might know me. Secondly I just found everyone so helpful and supportive. Ours is a hobby fraught with embarrassment. Seeing how supportive people are with questions (ie my Contact Etiquette thread) led me to believe that I wouldn't be judged for my actions. This truly is a great place to communicate with other like minded individuals, especially for those of us that don't exactly know what their doing. Well said Jade. I agree completely. It's also one of the reasons that I prefer longer appoints with ladies that interest me/intrigue me here on the board. Looks are important, but they are a starting point. I find many different looks and body types attractive. I don't understand short (half hour or 45 minute appointments) at all, and 15 minute appoints are just beyond my comprehension. Precisely, as you say, because the mind-body connection is lost. I've been getting a lot of requests for these lately, and my friend who is new to the business has a lot of people contacting her assuming she offers them, which I don't understand. Neither of us do. About a year ago, I used to, but the reason I don't any longer is this: A fifteen-minute appointment forces the girl into being a clockwatcher. I had multiple 15-minute appointments not only show up 5-10 minutes late, but stay 5 minutes longer. Now on a longer appointment, a few minutes here or there are not a big deal. But when they turn a paid fifteen minutes into 20, or 25, the client should have been paying for thirty. For this reason, I will no longer offer those short sessions, I had too many of them end badly when I had to remind (sometimes repeatedly) the client that our time already ended.

I have to say a LOT of the lurkers are only reading ads. That is what they come here for. I've seen or heard from time to time someone mention them, and the idea is that they either don't read the Discussion area or actually they don't even know it is there. Typically on some forums these are the folks who post some sort of topic in the actual review section, rather than in the discussion area simply because they don't know it is there. Maybe some would be encouraged to simply give out reps, as a way to be 'heard" or at least 'seen'.

I agree that there is a place for 30 minute appointments, and I could potentially see myself booking one if I had extreme time constraints and it was with a regular. Having said that, I'd probably prefer to wait until I had sufficient time to book a longer session. I don't want to offend anyone, and everyone should organize their business the way they see fit, but when I see 15 minute specials advertized, my inclination is to simply put that person on my "not interested" list. I've reached a stage in my life where there simply isn't anything interesting to me in that sort of service. And to the extent that services provided may offer some indication of the nature of the provider, I'm doubly not interested. I don't mean to come off like a snob, but when I see a lady I want a certain type of experience. That's not to say 30 minutes of intense passion couldn't be fun, but I need to know the lady also can provide me with the sort of experience I'm looking for in a 2 hour session. In many ways, I think the pressure to offer shorter time frames reflects the economy. There are more girls at the lower end of the business coming in and looking to make some quick money. At the same time, hobbyists are feeling the sqeeze, so maybe looking to economize by going to "budget" providers or shorter appointments. Exactly, and with good reason. Shorter sessions involve all the same getting ready, clearing the schedule, cleaning up after, and buffer for things that happen (like the customer being late). There's the time we spend making arrangments (emailing, texting, on the phone). If it's a new customer, there's all the same security precautions to take with a 15 minute as with a 2-hour. Plus, if it's an incall, there's the risk involved in giving out the address; with an outcall, the travel. You pay us for the time you're with us, but we put a lot more time into each session than just the time we spend with you. For a half hour session, I need at least an hour's notice to get myself and the premises ready, and then it's usually another 15-20 minutes cleaning up after you leave. So in other words, I plan to spend about 2 hours delivering a half hour session. It takes a 2-hour chunk out of my day. Our rates are what we charge. But they are far from what we make per hour we put into our businesses. Exactly!

I do offer a 20 minute massage session, but it's manual only with no reverse. There are people who only want that. And that's fine. I offer it. What I don't appreciate are those who try to barter for FS in this type of session. Or worse, those who think they can just "go for it" once they're here. That always ends poorly for all! Always make sure you understand what's in the contract (and what isn't) beforehand. It will save some red faces and blue balls. One big concern I have with ultra short sessions is not being compensated for any time that the session goes over. And it's a much bigger deal with a 15 minute session than a 30 or 60 minute session. 5 minutes over in a 15 minute session is like ten minutes over in a 30 minute or 20 minutes in an hour. To those who want 15 minute sessions, can I ask what solution you would offer to this problem? Maybe pay for half hour, and get a rebate for unused minutes when you leave?

I'm frequently amazed at how in some areas of the board, there is discussion ... "Has anyone seen lady x?" or "does anyone know someone who provides y service?". And there are replies ... "Yes she is great, seen her many times" or"try so and so, she provides that service". Yet there are very few recommendations. I was away from the board for some time, and occasionally dropped in so I suppose I was lurking. Having become more active (perhaps too active) it's both more fun and more rewarding to participate. I also think that having a presence allows you to get to know the ladies in a much different way, and this certainly makes for very rewarding encounters. So, no downsides to getting involved, and huge upsides! Porthos

When you go to a store and your total is $35.04 and the lady sees you have a $50 in hand. She proceeds to 'punch in' the amount in the cash register but you tell her to wait because you want to give her the 4 cents so you don't end up with more change in your wallet... She says she can't because she already put the amount in the cash register and she has to give you $14.96 back because that's what showing on her screen... I'm always speechless when this happens and I just smile but it definitely makes me go 'hmmm'!

I'm only guessing but I'll bet it's a good guess to imagine that the ladies spend an almost equal amount of time communicating and setting up an appointment as they do with the actual appointment. Just how long does it take to exchange 4 or 5 emails? Check references. When I see a lady for the first time for 3 or 4 hours, I wouldn't be surprised to learn she had spent just as much time communicating, checking references, getting ready and getting there. When we account for no shows and cancellations and most gentleman wanting shorter appointments, I'd say she'd be lucky to have spent as much time off the clock, behind the scenes as she does in my presence. We need to keep this in mind. They give so much and ask for so little in return.

I had to cancel a possible encounter with a special lady(traveling to a city near me) from CERB due to a meeting scheduled for today(this morning at 10am) and the group did not show up, I'm sitting here alone at my office. What I have to say is that this visiting lady does not come to Ottawa often enough(and never on weekends, which is when I can see the ladies). Wow, you just don't want to let this go, do you? Since you've never attended a social before, perhaps as someone who has organized 6 of them in Ottawa I can enlighten you a bit as to our experience which the Halifax folks haven wisely taken into consideration. We had new members or those who never posted (and apparently had never seen anyone on cerb) show up at our socials to simply lurk and that kept others who were more active on the board and the community away. A lot of work goes into organizing these events and if it's not attended by members who are actually "hobbiests" and "sps", then there is no incentive for these members to take time out of their busy schedules to meet with people who simply want to gawk or cash in on free drinks (yes we had ladies posing as SPs who did this also). I am not in any way implying that all new members or even older members with no posts are necessarily lurkers only, but seeing how there is limited room, of course more seasoned members should be allowed first dibs. I don't see any reason for posting what you did except to try and stir the pot which is totally unnecessary and not in the spirit of the board. As Boomer reminds us, this is not a CERB-sponsored party. It is organized by cerb members for other cerb members at the discretion of the organizers. Simply having a cerb handle does not equal entitlement.

This is a rather offensive comment. The organizing for this has been going on for months so there's been plenty of time to comment. Taloon finally quit as organizer after a lot of hard work because some people questioned his commitment as a relatively new and inexperienced member. It took MN2 to pick up the pieces and organize what I expect will be a great first event for Halifax. You must remember that this is not CERB sponsored, but a private affair held in a public venue. At this point it is at capacity and not accepting new participants. I believe that after all the hard work MN2 has every right to put some reasonable rules around it so as to have a discrete and successful event (he has had the benefits of seeing the way the Ottawa ones evolved). It's really important if you want to have more of them in the future that it's a success. Those new guys commenting here will have a chance in the future.
