3 pointsThe low volume/high volume discussion has been going on for as long as I can remember! I was asked about it regularly when I was young, running for an agency and still receive the odd inquiry about it today. I've never understood the preference but I respect the people that have it because I expect them to respect my preferences as well. Life is a cycle with busy times and slower times. This industry is far more susceptable to the ebbs and flow than most and professional providers realize that just because the requests are there today, they may not be there for many days ahead and we have an obligation to try and maximize those requests when they come in. In an ideal world, we would have our daily quotas in front of us and know that we will see the required number of guests each day to ensure our bills get paid but this isn't an ideal world. Days, even weeks go by with little work and the bills pile up. If there is demand, we must do our best to see as many clients as we can handle without compromising ourselves or our service. The bottom line is that when a provider declines an appointment due to volumn she is taking a substantial business risk. The client could go to another provider and decide not to return. Losing one regular for a $200/hr provider is an average loss of $2400 per year. The key for a provider is knowing herself well enough to realize when she's entering the red zone of slipping service or health risk. When I was young and foolish, I worked for an agency one summer where I booked on May 24 weekend and didn't book off until Labor Day. I never slept more than 3 hours at time but still only averaged 4 appointments per day for the whole summer. That's 1 call every 6hrs. I then slept for the entire month of September! It wiped me out physically, emotionally and mentally. I certainly wasn't a high volumn provider that summer but I had to invest the time to ensure I was available when the phone rang. There are very few independents who are revolving door, it can't be done effectively because we can't do the administration AND perform the services simultaneously. A provider may be able to effectively book a couple of days per week solid but that takes time, planning and last but not least; the demand needs to be there for it to all click. And all that is assuming she has the required phone, scheduling and preparations skills needed to be able to fill her calendar consistently and provide the services which imo is a rare mix. I see this concept of revolving door providers as a kind of industry myth that gets bantered around by people with "ideals" but little practical knowledge of the sex trade. When you actually look at the mechanics of the business, it's almost impossible to achieve even for well run agencies. For example, there are times when clients might pass each other in the hall of hotel incall but chances are high the provider waited hours for those two clients and it was simply coincidence the required appointment times were close. When I had my agency, it never failed that I would get multiple requests simultaneously and ensuring the guests received timely service was always my main concern because of the difficulties in logistics. For a very brief moment in time the demand would outstrip the supply. Then when the phones died down, everyone sat and waited. Again. Most of my girls averaged 2-3 appointments on a 10hr shift. If I hired enough providers to fulfill the temporary demand, the ratio dropped to 1 call per shift which isn't enough to keep quality providers under contract. The point of this little stream of consciousness babbling is that the assumptions are made without having an understanding of the nature of the industry. Perhaps with a little more understanding of the business the assumptions will decrease... cat

3 pointsI haven't been at this too long, but from the very beginning I believed it best not to ask a lot of personal questions, firstly, because I dont think I would really want to know the answers. I did have an experience where, after the playtime, the info about how the phone was "ringing of the hook" was being advised, and I politely asked her to stop expounding on that topic because, I quite frankly, didn't want to know. I explained that I dont ask questions like that because I dont want to know those answers. All I care about is if I enjoyed myself. For my favourite times I find I can create a fantasy fairly easily that doesn't even include the thoughts of her even seeing other men. It's funny because sometimes it only hits me when I see a reco for that lady from another gentleman that they do. It's pretty simple for me.... in that I cant say I have ever had a bad encounter, there is nobody that I wouldn't repeat with, but in reality I do repeat often with the ones that I have connected with the best. I dont ask or guess anything about how they handle their "business", and in fact I wish all the best success for them because I really do like and admire them. That may seem at cross purposes with what would seem to be in my best interests in the context of this thread, but all I know is that I have enjoyed myself. I have no idea how many clients my favourites see in a day...dont want to know, and dont care...

3 pointsAfter several weeks of very bad visits with my Mother, today we had an absolutely wonderful visit. She was lucid, knew who I was, and was able to carry on a conversation ... until she got tired and fell asleep. But still, I left the nursing home on top of the world, rather than feeling totally depressed. I know she'll have good days and bad days. But there've been a lot of bad days lately. So hitting on a good day was simply wonderful. Porthos

2 pointsNot too sure what you are bartering here, by trying to make as if you have something of value from nothing. There is no profiteering from recommendations, so recommend away if you had a great experience. If you don't bang-n-tell, no point teasing the rest of us. That's what strip joints are for.

2 pointsThis business is up and down. Some days the phone is ringing off the hook and other days it isn't. An SP can do however many appts she can in a day if the business is there and the next day there may be nothing. Some days, posting more frequently comes with the territory. It doesn't mean an SP is a higher volume and/or desparate. I like to make a quota for myself for the week and I always try to adhere to it so if it means posting a few more times in the shoutbox, of course I'm going to do it especially if it is slow. I don't work for an agency and I have other things going on so in a day I don't tend to take that many appts. It isn't really anyone's business how many appts SPs do but it doesn't make them a low quality provider if they are high volume. And then again, what is considered high volume? More than 2 appts? As long as she provides a good service there is nothing wrong with it as long as she isn't worn out herself. And to those who think they don't want to see an SP because she may have seen too many guys that day ( which they can't prove anyways) that's what showers are for! I also have to say something about being high volume v.s. low volume re: being the first appt of the day. This doesn't mean squat as she may be seeing you after a night of wild sex with the bf/SO or an overnight client. There is no SP cleaning fairy ( thanks Phaedrus!) who magically makes us clean overnight. LOL. If an SP does high volume, there are no guarantees you will ever know this unless they tell you ( or she is visibly worn out or falling asleep) and I don't think a client will get the truth because it's rude to ask in the first place. I think the best thing to do is research an SP here and see what she offers and how she books appts, etc. That should give you an indication and if she is your type based on what yòu`re looking for. However, my advice is don't pass over someone who does half hour appts instead of just hour appts. Sometimes the business isn't there for hour only appts anymore and also depends on the SP's schedule and how much she wants to work. Moral of the story, don't judge an ad by how many times she posts or if she has a more aggressive ad posting history. You may be missing out!

2 pointsHey Cleo, I'm so glad you had fun, and I think you did a wonderful job as an interviewee... I can honestly say that it's one of the best segments I've ever had on the show, and I've heard from quite a few people who think it's the best interview we've ever done on Sex Brains & Money. I've always said that, if people knew what the sex industry was really like, there wouldn't be nearly as much stigma and the stereotypes wouldn't be nearly so pervasive. That's part of the reason I wanted to start the show in the first place, and I'm really happy that you were able to share a different perspective on what being a sex worker is all about. Just a little confession - you looked so hot during the segment that I almost forgot the questions at least a couple of times, and I had trouble keeping the proper distance! ;) Luckily my professionalism helped me overcome my naughtier thoughts, otherwise it would have ended up being a very different kind of video! :p For everyone who checked out the segment, and commented on this thread, thank you so much for your positive feedback - I'm really looking forward to doing more segments like this in the future, perhaps with other SPs who'd like to join me as well. Also, if there are any clients who are feeling particularly bold, and might want to join me for a segment, let me know! I'd love the chance to help the public realize that stereotypes about clients are just as false as those about sex workers, and I think it would make for a really great interview to talk about why you enjoy seeing these lovely ladies. Just a thought, anyways. :) Thanks again everyone, and if you'd like to know more about the show, check out www.sexbrainsmoney.com for all the details, and all the other segments as well. :)

1 pointGood All, I am looking for a SP with an English accent, or similar.. anyone out there that fits this. I think its extremly sexy. thanks
-
1 pointGreat suggestion :D You would have better luck finding an SP who is skilled in massage, rather than trying to find a massage girl who offers SP services. There are many full service SPs who have worked in massage places that should be able to provide what you're looking for. I am one of them, and I can also think of Peachy, MiaBella, Brittany Jones, Taylor Monroe, and I'm sure there are many more.

1 pointIt comes as a surprise to me that there are some who may equate lots of ads and advertising with a heavy volume of business (however THAT may be defined). I guess I do not see the connection between the two. There is a cliche that says' "Assumption is a dangerous thing," and this may be an example of that. Despite that statement, I do make assumptions based on advertising and online personna. My assumptions however are not based on how many ads or posts that a provider has but rather on the quality of the ads and posts. I do make very positive assumptions when I see creative ads, well written ads, and sincerity, depth and glimpses of the woman behind the SP in her posts on threads. The other aspect of the original thread related to volume. Since I am using cliches here, there is one that applies to me and as written previously on here it applies to some others as well. "Ignorance is bliss." How many people a woman sees is something that I just don't need to know and neither is it something that I want to know. Interesting topic Nathalie.

1 pointTags are something you add to a new posted message. When you post a new message, you will see a box down below the text that says you can add up to five tags. If you would like some suggestions, click on "Search" in the menu bar at the top, then click on "Tag search". That will give you an idea of what tags are being used. Pick one out the cloud at random and you will see a message using that tag. Hope that helps.

1 pointYes, this happens. In a way, it is nice to hang with a dancer when it is not busy, as long as you are the guy catching her drinks. The most considerate thing that you can do is ask the waitress to let her know that you would like a dance. After all, most gurls really are there to dance and make money. The waitress will know what the dancer is up to. There are high rollers that will actually pay the ladies to stay with them. You will be helping the gurl a lot. She will usually get dances with the guys she is hanging with at the table or YOU! Either way, she will be the better for it, and she will likely remember you in a favourable way!

1 pointI agree 100% with this. I personally love the commercialization of Christmas, and while I understand that not everyone does-- no one is forced to buy things for it. I like that it's not as much of a Christian holiday as it use to be... it's more for everyone now. (Though some people in my family still refuse to do anything special for it.) Sometimes I just get together with my friends and family who do celebrate, exchange little inexpensive pressies and eat, drink.. generally have a good time. Other years I go all out, I fill my world with twinkling lights, all sorts of colours and ridiculous decorations. (I even got some Star Trek tree ornaments last year :icon_wink:) I cook all sorts of fancy finger foods and spend a small fortune.. but it's all purely by choice. Those things aren't needed to enjoy the season. This year instead of an annoying push to get the Xmas buying season started, seeing some stuff in the stores was a nice reminder that I should start a little earlier this year, avoid the rush the week before Christmas and actually enjoy that time with people instead of in line at the stores. I'm so looking forward to Christmas this year.. I might even put up my tree & lights early. :)

1 pointAt the end of the day it's up to the lady to figure out how best to organize her business. I really don't think you can assume anything at all from where, or how often a lady advertises. Assumptions are likely mistaken. If a lady interests you, see her. If not, don't. There can be a range of factors that determine whether you, as a client, are interested. That might include how her ads are written, what her pictures are like, etc., etc. Much of that is purely subjective. The only thing that matters is that during and after the session, everyone is pleased and that there was a mutually beneficial exchange of time and money. Porthos

1 pointWell, HD66, I can only say that your public posts are very revealing. You haven't been on this site long enough maybe to understand why both the sps and the clients use this site, as opposed to review sites. On this board or behind the scenes, there is no reason to tell anyone at all about services that are not advertised, especially if they are not offered to all. There is in fact a very good chance this reliable source is lying to you, whether it is you providing the info or receiving it. You say you book based on back room information, but the sp herself did not offer, advertise nor agree to have the info shared, but you will expect to receive it when you show up, otherwise you wouldn't book her based on her advertised services, only the rumoured ones? And you don't see the conflict in that, plus you want to justify not just doing it, but expecting others to agree lol. Every time someone tells another potential client about an sp providing services she doesn't want known publically, or doesn't want to be asked about or doesn't want to have to provide to everyone who shows up, they are telling those guys her wishes are unimportant. They are telling her that he is indiscreet and a gossip. It makes him unattractive as a client, and chances are if she finds out, and she will find out the minute guy #2 acting on info given to him by pm, contacts her and asks for or about it. It is really up to the client to do his own work, contact the sp and allow her to answer, privately and only 'first hand' what his real expectations on arrival should be. It isn't up to a 3rd person to disclose 2nd hand information about what he claims happened. We have no insight as to the circumstances around getting or not getting certain services, advertised or not. We don't know if they were coerced, tricked, paid extra, freely offered, or even if they were offered or received at all. We don't know the source has an axe to grind, or is just super special and unique that he gets what others are denied.

1 pointI consider myself a low-volume escort as well. Despite having a really flexible schedule with a lot of availability, I'm really busy with grad school, and my work as a teacher's assistant and research assistant. I just find it unfortunate that some people want to see me specifically because of that, you know? It reflects those assumptions that are being made and sometimes it's disrespectful to other ladies. Like you, I think it's great if a SP is higher volume and has the emotional, mental, and physical energy for it and I don't think anyone has the right to make assumptions about the quality of her service on that basis. Like most have already said, most women wouldn't sacrifice quality over quantity (Thanks for that line, Areez!)

1 pointThis kind of thread upsets me.. because people who think they are well informed about science believe it can't be wrong... when it's often manipulated to make sure that drugs get passed through the FDA that aren't fit for consumption never mind safe. I learned early on in my university days when studying in my statistics course how you could skew data easily to make an outcome in your favor. Why do you think so many FDA drugs are approved only later to be proven unsafe and so many drug companies sued as a result. More and more whistle blowers come forward all the time at great personal and professional expense whilst many stay silent. Follow the money trail. Thankfully the internet has disseminated more information that you can be lead more often to the truth. But to quote some people on here who denigrate those who are anti-vaccine as blindly being led.. I feel exactly the same way about you. re: small pox vaccine. My paternal grandmother was blinded by it.. and also given shingles. You may think it's a small price to pay for her 'dirty' needle as she called it. I sure don't. You may not get the flu from the flu vaccine but you sure as hell can get a lot of other illnesses from it. AND that's not even true. Many many peope will tell you they have only gotten the flu after receiving the vaccine. THe standard answer to that is that it's a killed vaccine and you just received it too late. I say hogwash. Stopped getting the vaccine and haven't gotten the flu since. You who take it.. do so blindly on pure 'faith' that those who have made it have your best interests at heart. I see more 'faith' there than I do in religious zealots. Why would you take it unless you sat there and watched how it was made?? yikes! That's a hell of a lot of trust. But then again.. you must trust the FDA and CDC. I know I sure don't. google HPV vaccine deaths.. there are plenty. More and more evidence to support autism as a result of vaccination. SAFE? hell no.. neurological disorders from swine flu vaccine.. http://www.garynull.com/home/terra-daily-finland-vows-care-for-narcolepsy-kids-who-had-sw.html http://www.naturalnews.com/033816_swine_flu_vaccines_neurological_disorders.html also note on the CDC website.. trying to cover their butts no doubt. http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/vis/downloads/vis-flu.pdf state that mild symptoms may include fever, aches, cough, headache..hmm. sounds pretty similar to a flu to me! Life-threatening allergic reactions from vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot. oh.. well in that case.. stay close to the hospital.. just in case eh?
-
1 pointAnd did you notice how vague it was? This is entirely deliberate. The tricky thing about making a commercial vaccine is making sure that it remains useful for a reasonable lifetime between the factory and the clinic. Most of those weird-sounding ingredients are preservatives and stabilizers, rather than things that have any biological effect. And some of those ingredients, and the cocktails of them that are used, are jealously-guarded commercial secrets, which is why the CDC don't get to publish (or possibly even know) the details of them. So, to answer the obvious next question: we know they're safe because of the clinical trials that are run. They've been tested in humans under controlled conditions; before that they were thoroughly tested in animals (I know many people don't like the idea, but it's the law) and before anything even gets as far as a lab cockroach it's been extensively tested for effectiveness and toxicity on cell cultures. They don't want to, no. But they have to :) The companies you mention, like all publicly-traded companies, are ultimately responsible to their shareholders. That means they need to make money. And they don't make money by letting their customers die, or by screwing up and producing unsafe products that result in their customers suing them. They make money by selling their customers a product that works, so those customers (that's us, by the way) can survive to buy more of their products in the future. They don't sell us working medical products because they're nice, or altruistic; they do it because that's where their profits come from. They don't invent new drugs out of a sense of social responsibility or charity; they do it because they want to continue to be profitable. I wouldn't, because I don't think anything fundamental has changed. What HAS changed is that these things are far more widely recognized and better understood than in the past, and therefore now diagnosed far more often. It's not that more kids have autism or ADHD today; it's just that they're actually being diagnosed with these conditions and helped, rather than just labelled as "a bit weird" or "an absolute little shit". I consider this to be a thoroughly good thing. And since you've raised this in the context of a thread about vaccination, I really must take the time to mention that the link between the MMR vaccine and autism that was publicized a lot in the UK (and elsewhere) has been completely debunked. It's bullshit. It always was, despite the scaremongering. The doctor who kicked the whole shitstorm off has been barred from practicing medicine as a result of his dishonesty. If you genuinely believe that there's any kind of link between the conditions you mentioned above and any vaccine, please do share the evidence. I'd be very interested to see it. No, they don't. Quite the opposite, in fact. We are all exposed to far fewer viruses and other pathogens than in the past, and one of the big reasons for this is that vaccination exists, and it works. Provided enough people take advantage of it to eliminate the breeding-grounds for disease, of course. A small amount of dead 'flu virus put into your arm is a lot less of a viral load than exposure to someone who's succumbed to the real thing. The allergies thing is fascinating, and one of the problems with it is that nobody really has a clue what's happening. Yes, allergies seem a lot more common. We don't know why. However, I don't propose to derail this thread to discuss it... but if you start another one I'll see you there :) No, people are not sicker now... and no, it's not up for debate. Look at the statistics. Look at mortality rates and life expectancies. The numbers don't lie. We are healthier for longer than ever before. Please bear in mind that one of the big reasons so many of us die of cancer or heart disease at eighty is that we didn't die of polio or smallpox at ten, and that's because of vaccination. There have certainly been many changes. But they're not all bad. As I explained previously, this decision doesn't just affect you personally. It affects the society you live in. Also, if you're really concerned about these things, don't ever read the labels on the food you eat, or the bottles of stuff you put on yourself in the bathroom. Just to return to that CDC list: did you happen to notice how many of those exotic-sounding ingredients are also in your food? Preservatives and stabilizers aren't just useful for keeping vaccines fresh. If you're serious about not putting these things into your body, I'd recommend that you quit modern society and move to a hunter-gatherer or subsistence-farming lifestyle. The problem of how to fund our aging population is undoubtedly a tricky one... and again, a subject for another thread. It has nothing to do with vaccination.

1 pointIt's been a great week of warm weather and I continue getting my outside Christmas lights up at a time when I don't even have to wear gloves, and no frozen fingers for sure. The only little hitch is that when I put up my new section this year I decided that the nice blue rope lights clashed with the red ones. So down came the red, off to get new blue ones, got them all up and last night when I tested them to see if I had it right, both of the new sets had outages right smack in the middle of the strands. So down they will come today to be returned, and the new ones will probably finish this outside labor of love for me. :) December 1st is my outside lights startup evening.

1 pointReally great advice. Hormones never 'cause' anything, they simply enhance what's already there. Being stressed, distracted, or depressed can definitely cause some problems... I think it's great if you're able to have an open and honest conversation with your provider about why that might be happening. This not only creates a safe space for you to (perhaps) move past any anxiety or stress, but it also reassures the provider that there isn't something she should be doing differently. Cialis and Viagra will definitely not give you an uncontrollable instand hard-on. I personally don't think it's necessary to tell your provider your taking medication unless you think it's relevant and want her to know for whatever reason.

1 pointIrrespective of anyone's partisan proclivities... I'm seriously unenthusiastic about the fact that you Americans will vote, break for Thanksgiving and Christmas, swear in the new Congress and new/old President... and then start campaigning for the mid-terms. JUST FUCKING GIVE IT A REST FOR A BIT, WILL YOU??? Seriously. You don't vote again in Federal Elections until November 2014. That means you don't need to campaign until, say, October 2014. Maybe September, at a push. DEFINITELY not before Labour Day. Capiche?

1 pointI love kissing, I learned how to kiss at a young age with older and younger girls in our backyard in the treehouses. We had a couple of treehouses in the bush and a couple of my friends invited some girls(some were neighbors and some not) we would practice kissing for as long as the day was until our lips would be numb. One lady that I really enjoyed kissing from Cerb was Petite Amy, she and I really connected when we kissed. One kiss I will always remember was when I dated this girl and after a couple of dates we hugged when I met her and our cheeks were gliding from each other our eyes were closed and our lips met, we stayed like that for which felt like the whole night, it was like fireworks were exploding all at once.
