Screening/verification isn't just unique to Halifax. I see ladies in London, Hamilton, Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa and they require verification (full name, board handle, phone, email, reference etc, ) The ladies are discrete and will not disclose your information to your wife, kids, family, business connections etc. That would be very unprofessional on their part, and one thing the ladies are, is professional, and discrete. They just want to ensure their safety by verifying who you are. I've lost count of how many companions received my personal information. My post is not intended to insult you either and I can understand why anyone would want to save money BUT we are talking about a very sensitive subject and a business unlike any and a business that from one to another NO one can compare, nor should they want to. So to say because one charges $$ the other should and because it costs $$ in one city it should here. It sounds like you are the type who picks are a girl based more on her rates than any other criteria, so this posts leads me to believe. Which I find sad as many ladies that charge beyond the rate which you think is "fair" are made to feel as though, as you said, they are charging to much. Back when I first dabbled in this business, back when the rate was 1/2 of what I now charge, I was told I had one of the best bodies out there, by men and women, and my service was very good as well. Back then men were still complaining and surmising as to how we should go about getting more business etc. So my point is-no matter what a lady has, no matter the quality of her service, no matter her location, or year, there will be someone complaining about how, where, when or why we should charge what we do, see this amount of clients, do things this way or that way, and it's always said by someone who isn't in the business, by a man, by someone who doesn't get that many of us are giving you a piece of ourselves, a very personal, honed, proudly offered, experience, well taken care of piece of ourselves. This " piece" isn't to be taken lightly nor should it's cost or value as it goes well beyond the dollar and it is and always will be incomparable, well at least to those who seek out a lady for more than just her hourly rate;)

For myself, if there is say 20 min remaining of our time, or IF I do have few moments I can spare to chat longer. I would lead you to a sitting area, or just have pillow chat. I often ask, " are you on a tight time schedule? Would you like to sit and chat? " I may offer a bottle of water or beverage. If I am pressed for time, then obviously if the hour is done, I will lead to where your shoes are, have a bit of chat and give you a passionate long kiss and hug, I would hope this is a nice way to indicate that I have other obligations . For the most part, SP's are very good with time management. Normally never booking appointments too close together, so that there is some wiggle room. I think you seem to be a very thoughtful Gentlemen to consider her feelings. There is no harm in asking while your there with her, such as " are you pressed for time, would you like to chat a bit? I must agree and thank you for taking the time to speak up. This question is not off to the best start. There is no "versus" between an SP or MA. They are both completely different experiences. There's being tactful and asking questions, but I get the impression as well the question was asked for members to explain why they do visit MA's, and for MA's to justify our services and rates? I think that's up to the OP to do his research, read the recommendations, and not challenge the activity and great feedback in the massage area. If I am approached in this manner by an inquiry, I will most likely not be booking with them.

After being on Cerb for over 3 years now. I've met many women from Cerb, of all sizes and races and ages. I've become on-line friends with many of them thou chat and PM's. I think the OP's question is better than people give him credit for. Three well-known and respected escort agencies offer a good variety of women at the $200/hr rate while the top massage spas are $180/hr, so the rates are not that different. The experiences are different, but often it comes down to the woman and what they're like. Some MA's offer amazing experiences that can be incredibly sensual without needing to be mileage based. There has been some discussion about SP vs MA in the past... There is no such a compaeison between SP and MA services as they are both different... there is not one better than the other.. they are simply different and both are worth what they both offer... rates can range between 120 to 180 depending on the lenght of the appointment (thats an average being indy or working for a spa) My suggestion to find out whether MA services are or not for you... is to take the plunge... like many others that were non MA believers did... and you may be surprised ;-) ;-) .... you can ask some that did ;-)

IMO it depends on what you are looking for. Sometimes I'm in the mood for an SP, other times I'm in the mood for an MA. Once in a while the line becomes a bit blurry and you see one but end up with an experience that you consider to be more in line with what you expected from the other. I think everyone goes out sometimes. I'm not sure what let loose means but I don't think anyone prevents themselves from living because they are an SP or an MA. It's a rule that if you recognize an SP or MA while you're out and about that you don't approach them, the same goes for an SP or MA who recognizes a client out in public. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil. In the meantime, make the sauce. In a large, hot frying pan, fry the bacon until starting to crisp with most of the fat rendered. Pour off most of the fat then add the garlic and smoked paprika and fry for 30 seconds. Add all of the tomatoes and the sugar and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the cream/yoghurt, parsley and seasoning. Cook the gnocchi in the salted water until it starts floating to the top. Remove with a slotted spoon and add to the sauce. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce to an oven-proof dish and top with the sliced mozzarella. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and golden. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

My view on this has evolved over my time as an SP. I don't have any age restrictions at all and I do not ask for your age when someone requests an appointment with me. In fact, I welcome men of all ages to respectfully contact me if they are interested in what I have to offer them. I ignore any and all requests that are below my standards, regardless of age. I've found less-than-desirable men of all ages, and while maybe there are a few more young guys who haven't learned how to talk to a woman yet, I wouldn't personally ban them all because of a few bad apples. Of course, to each their own though, and for some it's just a comfort thing, and everyones own preferences are to be respected. I've seen many young university students, as young as 19 years old. I've had a great time with many of them, and still see some of them regularly. If they can compose a nice introduction, give me all the info I need and they seem respectful and friendly, I have no issues with age at all. It actually turns me on a bit when younger dudes are looking for an experienced lady a few years their senior rather than a girl their own age. That alone shows me some kind of maturity. I also think that for young guys, especially university students, or those starting out in their career, if they have the means, seeing an SP is a great option. I agree with you Cat. Trafficking laws, and most major proponents of such legislation and related campaigns, including NGOs aiming to eliminate trafficking, end up reinforcing stigma, silencing and violence against migrant workers, and not just limited to sex workers.... Rarely are such efforts aimed at deconstructing or bringing redress to poverty, or unevenly enforced border control measures. We should be suspicious that, to date, very few countries, for example allow for sexual labourers who have been picked up , detained and questioned in such sweeps to actually apply for a visa to stay in that given country. Countries such as Italy are one of the few exceptions. As it stands, international protocols governing trafficking allow for only two options when a worker has been identified as trafficked (a determination often made against the will of these global citizens); you are either a victim or a criminal. And, once you have provided your information, you are then of little value to authorities (and researchers) and are swiftly deported. This provides no meaningful way for those who are being harmed, or who seek protections, including under the law, to meaningfully report their concerns to authorities or even access supportive services. It should be added that these problems are made possible through a whole variety of laws, including, by the way, under what has been often termed the 'stripper visa' policy aimed largely at women seeking to tour as exotic dancers in Canada", and are no longer able to as they are being denied working visas which were previously being granted....of course, driving the truly problematic situations further underground, and making illegals out of workers trying to make a living. Such a law, while purportedly aimed at helping to eliminate the trafficking of women and girls, and deceitful fronts for prostitution, actually does nothing helpful in terms of any of this...more sensationalism, more patronizing policies that do nothing to accord voice, dignity, labour and human rights to those affected. I also agree with mistert, in that, we will have to see how the current legal challenges pan out to know what the implications are. For example, if the 'prostitution' laws currently under scrutiny are struck down by the highest Court (i.e. the Supreme Court of Canada, which is binding) and, in the process, sex workers consequentially have a foothold to access human and labour rights and Constitutional recognition, then there will be some clout to wield at the policy level in terms of redefining trafficking policy, including definitions of what constitutes trafficking, who would be considered to be a trafficked person, and what options would then be available to those caught up in this net. There is also a continuum in relation to sex work and trafficking that exists that muddies the waters, in that; 1) some people are genuinely forced against their will, or tricked into migrating to a country under false pretenses; 2) some are indentured workers who know they will be doing sex work and are under obligation to repay a specific fee for being able to secure their entry into a given country, often with their passports being held or some other power play to guarantee they will comply ( ...problematic, yes, and ultimately a practice supported by oppressive legislation such as that discussed above). In such cases, the progressive sex work literature and many labour activists attest to the fact that many of these workers (not just women I might add) would still choose this situation over remaining in their countries of origin as they are seeking mobility and increased economic opportunities, and to be reunited with family members/loved ones). Due to personal resourcefulness , the assistance of organizations and sometimes even clients, workers are often able to manage transitioning into a less controlled working situation...And, with a more empowering and redefined trafficking policy scope, this has the potential to improve the odds for folks significantly; 3) some of these people are straight up travelling sex workers, quite informed and largely mobile (however undercover and trickily navigated) who have entered countries to work and make money, and still face the threat of being picked up in these sweeps and being made subject to such laws, regardless of the fact that what they are doing...how they see what they are doing....as sex work...as real work that has meaningful purchase in their lives; and, 4) there are those whose personal circumstances have the potential to cut across more than one, or even all of these categories and realms of experience; who may, in fact, have experienced circumstances of profound coercion, or perhaps, indenturement, but who move into other circumstances, including in making a more empowered choice to participate in some form of sex work. (On the last point) This is not uncommon at all...just like it is not uncommon for sex workers who may have always been in the country, and who may have worked in a more marginalized venue, to then have their circumstances change and engage the opportunity to work in another venue. In the course of my community activism, I've been privy to many stories such as this...And, in the case of grassroots activism by labourers who would outright identify as being trafficked at some point (e.g. see the film "Tales of the night fairies"), there is a strong contingent of those who go on to assert, regardless of potential continued marginalization, that 'yes, "I am now a sex worker" who makes choices every day to continue to participate in the industry'. The understanding that "money talks and bullshit walks" carries great currency in the lives of those who engage in erotic labour and who continue to be patronized and harmed by such oppressive measures and attitudes. Of course, in such hopefulness for some structural policy changes or a favorable court ruling, it's important not to get romantic about the system...the current political party system, the courts or legislature... international governance practices, as they have been powerful forces in securing the oppression and economic disadvantage of so many historically oppressed communities...not to mention gross platforms for politicians to self-ingratiate themselves in the media...while, of course, having no meaningful vested interest or concern for the health and human rights of those they speak for, including sex working citizens....wherever a given worker sits on the continuum. We cannot afford to do this.

I am so sad right now. My big boy Vinny is in unexpected surgery right now after a trip to the emergency vet clinic for something that I thought wasn't going to be a big deal. He's pretty tough and resilient, so I have a lot of hope that he will be alright, but it still sucks. He's the friendliest cat I've ever met in my whole life, and a pile of playful fluffy cuddly sucky awesomeness. Summer is a genuine Ottawa girl. She has a great sense of humour, is comfortable with herself and within minutes makes her guest feel the same. Paradise is a very clean and modern facility in a small commercial mall. Upon entering you are greeted by a receptionist - much like going to a hair salon. The rooms are tastefully decorated in warm tones - I suppose they are slightly masculine - browns and coffee colours. The in room shower is clean (the ladies clean them after every use) and the towels are fresh and plush. There is always lots of body wash and shampoo (Old Spice body wash - so no nee to worry about smelling of a ladies perfume after). The lighting is not too dim, although I imagine that it can be dimmed. The massage tables are sturdy and covered with towels that are changed after each guest. There is a professional tanning bed in one of the rooms and it might be an option for "post massage" as it is not advised to take a shower right after a tanning session. I arrived without an appointment and was pleased to hear that I would be having a taste of Summer (winter has been too long). She offered me a shower to start and turned on the water so that it would be warm. A few minutes later she returned and started a deep tissue massage. She is very skilled at finding muscle knots and worked to relieve them. Throughout we had a great conversation and I was genuinely at ease. I left relaxed and refreshed. I will certainly repeat at Paradise (in fact I have been there several times before seeing Summer) but this time I will book in advance to make sure that I see Summer (enough of winter already)!
