In my thinking, these discussions are what makes CERB a great resource. The discussion has varied a bit from the OP question, and I'm glad it has developed along the way. All parties (MA, SP, Clients) have given their perspectives. Albeit it may be a small portion of the industry and client population. In my experience, questioning a cost vs. value of a 'service', experience, etc. will result in 100 different answers from 100 different people. As with 'beauty', it's value is totally subjective in the eyes of the beholder. Are tips/donations/requests/whatever reasonable? You have all the information to make that decision for yourself. The answer is the same as; What is it worth to you? Personally, a 30 min hot tub session, talking with a kind, caring and interesting woman is a steal where I've experienced it. I've tried other places which asked/offered more and less, I'm happy with who, how and where I spent time to relax. If I feel the cost does not justify the experience, then I will exercise my right to not repeat. And I read recommendations, posts and message providers,etc to make an informed and safe decision on where to spend my time. MA vs. SP? All are uniquely amazing people if you take the time to get to know them. And YMMV is a principle that always applies to everyone. The MA,SP,Hobbyist designation does not give anyone the 'right' or a reason to demand a service or experience from another person! (whether they call themselves MA, SP, Indy, Hobbyist, etc) they are a person, NOT A PRODUCT! my 5 cents, since pennies are out of circulation now. ElanRacer

I have been following this thread from the start and really it almost seems like and out right war. The main difference between SP Services and MA services are that EXTRAS ARE NOT ON THE MENU WITH AN MA. You are paying over all for time spent with a LADY, she will tease and tempt you in the way decided by the nature of her business Title. Myself, I chose to be an MA because I am more sensual and don't like to think that I need to force an appointment with a predetermined check list of activities that NEED to happen for my client to be happy and feel like they had the best experience. I prefer a natural organic sensual time spent with a gentleman that treats me like a lady and respects the rules of an MA working in a Massage Parlour. As it has been stated many times that Ladies working Indy have more freedom to blur the lines between what an MA can offer, but that is not everyone's cup of tea. IMHO if you want an organic sensual experience than an MA may be the option, and if your looking for a Check List of specific services then an SP is more on the mark for what your looking for. Cost may be a bit different from SP to MA but ultimately your paying for time spent with a Lady and how she makes you feel.... should that price tag change based on services???? That is a question that only you can decide for yourself. And to Clarify GFE MA is a Feeling NOT A LIST OF SERVICES!!!!! It is a connection that you feel like you know the girl and that she genuinely takes your feeling and desires and acts on them. I am PROUD to call myself a GFE MA, but not at the expense of Gentlemen seeking my services thinking that they will get more mileage because I state I offer a GFE experience. I highly doubt everyone on here has one, or why would we all be on here, lol! I don't have one. I *have* had fuck buddies in the past, and the thing to keep it mind is a fuck buddy rides a very thin line into 'relationship'. They tend to start as easy sex, but then you start to sleep over... go for breakfast... text off and on... all of those things that make seeing escorts clean and simple, rather than dating. Many 'fuck buddy' relationships I've had have ended just as messy as relationships, because one, or both, of the people develop feelings toward one another.

I am surprised at some of this answers... i am an MA and I became and MA exactly because I do not have to Offer BJ or FS to the gentlenen... As Robin Pointed it earlier .. Independent ladies have their own place where they can offer what ever they want... But ladies working out of a spa... this would make the spa a brothel which are clearly illegal even with the new laws... O often get contacted by gentlemen that are seeking extra services.. the answer is: " No I am not an escort. I offer Massage Services, if you are looking doe that type of service make sure you look at the right section" Ladies working out of a massage parlour and offering this services as standard are destroying real MAs reputation and business.. and also SPs business because they are not even charging enough making it cheaper. .. what a shame! Not only they are endangering themselves. , but the spa they work at., co-workers and the gentlemen that visit not just them but the other ladies. Going back to the OPs Original question....MAs and S Ps we are different. There is no one better than the other one! We both offer different experiences both great! And the only real way for him to find out ia not by reading it., is by actually trying it! Only then he can decide what his preference is!

it is interesting because out west, one goes to a massage parlour for the massage plus everything from hj, bj to FS. In fact I think some places get cranky if there is only going to be a hj (less tip for the attendant). So at the same time, it is unlikely anyone doing massage plus hj, if that is all that they provide, does this with anything GFE. Topless and minimal touching would be the norm in an MA experience here. And that is the point, that the clients seeking massage only services are not looking for more, they don't want GFE, they don't want kissing for sure, they don't want a bj. Sometimes it is because that is their moral line in the sand if they have an SO, sometimes it is a fluid exchange fear, and sometimes it is health issues that led to an inability to do FS anyway, and sometimes it is a cost issue, because a basic massage and hj session (as i mention) is going to be less than a FS session. I provide both types of sessions, and a few sps out here do that as well. They do massage start, like the massage parlours, and endings are as requested. I have a $20 difference between a half hour massage rate and a half hour FS rate, so it isn't about the money, and it isn't that they choose the less expensive one but would like the FS option, it is because they don't want FS. Simple as that. About 10% maybe less of my massage only clients will switch it up from time to time and choose FS or a bj finish. Sometimes, but it is that rare. Some start with massage sessions when they first come to see me, then switch after a few visits. Something FS clients find hard to believe is the fact that massage only clients exist, that anyone would choose to not have FS when FS is an option. The only way to prove to them that clients do choose that is by talking to providers who do offer both. (someone mentioned the bias that may appear when SP or MA's reply to this topic lol, but I am here to say I provide both, distinct and different pricing and different ending options, and a large percentage of my clients, even with only a 20 dollar difference, still choose massage only with hj finish). And still there are a lot of providers whose idea of different options for clients to drum up more business is to provide the same thing (FS or bjs) at a lower price for less time, instead of providing a different and unique thing (massage and hj for a longer time at the same rates). Oh, well, more for me. :) Nothing more fun that slippery massage and a happy slippery ending.

I want to thank everyone by their honest opinion on this topic. Curiousm7's last comments remind me of my situation. I was always an SP guy and was curious about the MA side. I feel that my needs are more on the sensual side and will be definitely contacting some of the fine ladies in this fair city for MA services. Thanks all

As someone who is still on the fence about who to see, or even if I want to see anyone, I can give you a little insight into my own issues (for lack of a better word) and why I might post a thread like that. I haven't, and probably won't as I've decided the only real way to make a decision is to contact the lady I choose directly and work things out. (or not, depending) A lot of you have touched on many of the reasons I would post one of those threads already, but I'll list them here. Maybe it will help let you know why some people need to ask questions. Nervousness - Being both new, as well as having low self esteem, I might ask who to see because I would want to make sure that whoever I see will make me feel comfortable and not feel judged. I might be hoping to find someone who was in the same boat who could give advice as to which SP they found would make me feel most comfortable. Having a good experience - As was pointed out by someone, I would want my first experience to be an enjoyable one, so I might be asking just to reassure myself that the lady(ies) I have picked out will be a good fit. Sometimes you can't get that from reviews. (especially if the review is written like a play-by-play of sexual positions with little else added in) Too many choices (this one wouldn't be for me yet, due to geographical location) - I can see how someone might be overwhelmed with choices. Every woman here on CERB is beautiful, but maybe someone might be looking to narrow things down a bit, maybe looking for a bit more insight into the lady's character in order to make a short list based on what they are looking for. (If I could do it, I would spend time with every lady on here :) ) Bait and switch / horror stories - Until I started finding sites like CERB I never really thought about this possibility, but now that I am aware of it I am a little more leery of things. Some guys might be looking for reassurance that the lady they have picked is going to be who they think they are. Not enough time to do the research - Not really an excuse, but if someone is traveling they might try to do some research on their own, but in the end might decide it is easier just to ask others. I can't see this being an issue for me personally, as all my traveling is planned well in advance, but you never know, it might happen some time that I will have to take an unexpected trip and decide I would like to see a lady while there. These are some of my main concerns, and why I might ask advice on who to see. However having said that I am of the opinion that the best way to narrow things down is to look at the lady's posts if possible, website as well, and if things look good from that aspect, contact the lady herself. I think those are really the only way to make an informed decision. (and even that isn't infallible)

You might also mention in your website (if you don't already) that you offer longer dates and are a travel companion. There's being tactful and asking questions, but I get the impression as well the question was asked for members to explain why they do visit MA's, and for MA's to justify our services and rates? I think that's up to the OP to do his research, read the recommendations, and not challenge the activity and great feedback in the massage area. If I am approached in this manner by an inquiry, I will most likely not be booking with them.

The low light of the day was that my TV fan started cutting out forcing the TV to shut itself off. I've been replacing fans in computers for years (1987 I installed 2 fan in my Coleco-vision ADAM to solve an over heating problems) and the TV is years out of warranty. So I thought I'd open it up and take a look. Easy peasy, a 4.75 inch by 1 inch fan... red, black, with 3rd wire for sensor - pretty much the same as the one I installed in my computer a couple months ago. No problem. I found a computer parts paradise just around the corner from where I live (a whole isle of computer fans). Got a fan, installed it. I had to graft in a different plug because the fans plug was different from the previous fan. Connected it all etc.. Everything worked. reassembled the TV and remounted it on wall... BUT It started cutting out again. I had visions of the staff at some repair store laughing at me for trying to fix it myself. So I took it back down, took apart and decided to solder the wires where I graphed on the new fan to the old plug for a more secure setting (instead of screwed on caps connectors). Still didn't work. pushed the fan's plug a little tighter, it clicked, and presto, the TV worked... and is still working an hour later. Cost of replacement fan $10. The thought of having to take it to a repair shop, embarrassing. Getting it working myself, priceless.

The Sixth Sense. Wow. I saw it in theatres when it was released in what - 1999 I think? And haven't watched it again until now. It's strange to watch a movie with such a twist to it, knowing the twist the entire time (watching Fight Club the second time was similar). But now I was able to watch the entire film knowing what happened, and you can see it the whole time now. Watching it a decade after the 'I see dead people' parodies have died off was nice too. What a great movie. And a great cast. Two paws up from this kittycat.
