One journalist observed tonight how Harper's cronies refused to answer questions and eveything was top secret and paranoid. The new pm struck a very different note. That is encouraging. But citizens have to keep up the pressure for a repeal of all the bad Harper legislation...and to reverse the dismantling of public services. Harper leaves a terrible legacy of destruction.

No I hear what you are saying... my tongue in cheek post was not directed at your comments more just a reflection that while I am delighted to see Harper gone I don't hold a great deal of Hope that the Liberals will be much better in the long run. I am old enough to remember the government's of Paul Martin, John Chretien, John Turner and The 1st Mr Trudeau and frankly they are not all great memories... I expect that it will not be long before we will be complaining about this government too. Political leadership is not easy.

The Liberal victory, at least for me, is bittersweet. I can't help but wonder what things would be like had the SCC decision on prostitution laws come down this December, as opposed to when Harper was in power. I've seen articles stating that the Liberals would repeal C-36, but as others on the board have stated, it's likely a low priority. As such, they would likely spend little, if any political capital on it. If that assumption is correct, we are stuck with a bad law until it is challenged. However, it's a brand new day with a new government in power. I hope Justin proves me wrong and does implement concrete change by repealing, or amending C-36. At the very least, they could refer it to the SCC and let them decide. I'm still optimistic that Trudeau will do the right thing, helped along by continued pressure and reminders from us, the people. Justin would do well to remember the words of his father - "The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation!" Just my opinion... Additional Comments: Ok this is wierd... After being on Cerb for over 3 years now. I've met many women from Cerb, of all sizes and races and ages. I've become on-line friends with many of them thou chat and PM's. Our rights and freedoms are at stake as the government seems to think they are in control and can do whatever they feel led to do at any given moment. For those of us here, tomorrow could mark a day where bad laws get repealed and we can get back to the vibrant community we once were here.

In my experience a day of meeting confirmation contact (phone / Text /email) would be the norm in this industry... don't think I would every leave to go to a booking unless I had that confirmation and I would expect that the majority of reputable ladies would include a requirement for that as part of their booking protocol.
