I agree that there is a place for 30 minute appointments, and I could potentially see myself booking one if I had extreme time constraints and it was with a regular. Having said that, I'd probably prefer to wait until I had sufficient time to book a longer session. I don't want to offend anyone, and everyone should organize their business the way they see fit, but when I see 15 minute specials advertized, my inclination is to simply put that person on my "not interested" list. I've reached a stage in my life where there simply isn't anything interesting to me in that sort of service. And to the extent that services provided may offer some indication of the nature of the provider, I'm doubly not interested. I don't mean to come off like a snob, but when I see a lady I want a certain type of experience. That's not to say 30 minutes of intense passion couldn't be fun, but I need to know the lady also can provide me with the sort of experience I'm looking for in a 2 hour session. In many ways, I think the pressure to offer shorter time frames reflects the economy. There are more girls at the lower end of the business coming in and looking to make some quick money. At the same time, hobbyists are feeling the sqeeze, so maybe looking to economize by going to "budget" providers or shorter appointments. For myself, I'd rather hobby less, rather than compromise on the experience. Porthos

If someone wanted to see an SP for 15 mins, how can you NOT expect them to be a clock watcher? You get what you pay for and don't expect the greatest experience that an hour or even a half hour has to offer. If someone is too cheap to pay an extra $40 but wants the extras that the $40 entails, then you have someone who wants everything for nothing and those people are very common on those other sites. Sure, 15 min appt can sound enticing especially if the clients are only there for 10 mins and not take advantage of the SPs time but what about the ones that will only pay for 15 mins and keep pushing it and won't leave? I had someone wanting me to go to their house for a half hour that was very close to my incall and they said they were getting the jacuzzi fired up and were pouring some drinks. This is all supposed to happen in a half hour? I don't think so. lol. It upsets me when guys try to take advantage of my time by attempting to do this. My time is my time and I have a life that not only includes this. I put the effort into providing the experience and when someone asks if I can do better or that's too much, it's insulting. I'm running a business and providing a fantasy at the same time and often the boundaries can get skewed when someone expects more than they're paying for. I find my half hour rate is affordable that is more condensed than the one hour appt but the customer is still having a great experience. If a half hour rate that is under $140 is too much then they can go find someone for a quickie with a mattress on the floor because that's what they're going to get for $60-$80. And the customer will be rushed in and booted out on their ass in 5 minutes. Don't expect a champagne experience on a cheap wine budget. To each their own but don't expect every SP to respond by asking "Can you do better than that rate?" And now it has gotten so bad now according to others ladies who have had guys say to them " I only need 5 minutes of your time, how about $50?" This isn't piece work! These kinds of appts are not for every SP and I'm one of them. I've humbled myself by offering half hours when in the past I would only do a minimum of one hour encounters. Having said that, I felt it was a smart decision because that is where the market is at right now because the business has changed over the years. However now the escort experience is being taken to an all time low with offers of $60-80. Why not just stand on the street? Obviously not but those are street rate prices for an SP's time. I have also found that half hour appts are still good for those who have time constraints and I still quote a fair price for myself given the experience I offer and what the customer will receive. I also have very nice clients who only want a half hour and I really enjoy it. 15 mins appt is pushing it for me and it also adds traffic to an SP's incall location. Think about it.. it takes an SP the same amount of time to set up her location and get ready and she's going to make just above half of what she would make in a half hour session? And on top of that, the SP has to pay for that incall location. Many don't work out of their own home for various reasons. No one thinks of this.. only the fact that we apparently charge too much and aren't "worth it". It takes a lot of money, time and effort to succeed in this business by doing it the right way. Not by the Sp telling someone to make them an offer or vice versa. I'm sure many men out there can appreciate what we do and how we do it and there are others that don't give a flying fig but they want the best of everything for nothing. The rates in Ottawa are so varied right now that the SPs who are willing to make deals are setting the example and this sets the tone for the entire market. In any business, if you lower your price, you are also lowering your standards and expectations. I have certain standards and expectations and I won't let anyone tell me otherwise or how to run my business by telling me my rates are too high. I have a long list of regulars and that is proof right there.

As I go thru my pre rendez-vous ritual I realized another reason why 15mins don't work for me. I shower, style my hair, apply fresh makeup, choose an outfit, ensure my room and bathroom are clean and watch a bit of tv on the internet. My total time to get ready can sometimes exceed an hour. This is what I like to do to get into the "mood" :) and my mood usually includes some nice conversation, a bit of flirting and some sensuous times :) This can't be accomplished in 15mins and, not to seem harsh, but it's not worth the time I take to prepare

I have seen providers create a completely different alter ego that seem to be a polar opposite of who they are. Over the years I've learned to spot the ones that are simply bringing a facet of themselves out into the open and recognize the completely created providers because the fakes can't maintain the facade for long. Like everyone else I would want to know in advance and wouldn't mind but it's something I would prefer to prepare for. Lingerie is a significant expense and if someone were to just walk out with part of it I'd be rather upset. Exactly, and with good reason. Shorter sessions involve all the same getting ready, clearing the schedule, cleaning up after, and buffer for things that happen (like the customer being late). There's the time we spend making arrangments (emailing, texting, on the phone). If it's a new customer, there's all the same security precautions to take with a 15 minute as with a 2-hour. Plus, if it's an incall, there's the risk involved in giving out the address; with an outcall, the travel. You pay us for the time you're with us, but we put a lot more time into each session than just the time we spend with you. For a half hour session, I need at least an hour's notice to get myself and the premises ready, and then it's usually another 15-20 minutes cleaning up after you leave. So in other words, I plan to spend about 2 hours delivering a half hour session. It takes a 2-hour chunk out of my day. Our rates are what we charge. But they are far from what we make per hour we put into our businesses. Exactly!

LOL Well I was totally out of my element and kept thinking...what am I doing, this is so not me?? But I wasn't very nervous. My first time with a SP was actually not too long. I had been thinking of finally taking the plunge for a little while, and had been surfing the web trying to find information on this sort of thing and than I stumbled upon cerb and you could say that it changed everything. I'll admit that at first I had my reservations about this sort of thing but after finding cerb and reading the posts from hobbyist and the ladies my views changed. I also loved that that this community was so positive and non judgemental and that made things easier to take the plunge. I had not been in a serious relationship in many years and become somewhat sick of dating and short term relationships that would end within less than a year. I read a cartoon book called Paying For It by Chester Brown, who is a cartoonist I really like. The book is an autobiographical account of his experiences as a "john" seeing various sex trade workers in Toronto from the mid 1990s to present day. Before that book, I had not thought about this world of escorting. I had only seen movies from the 80s about streetwalkers and read news articles about high priced escorts that politicians and pro athletes pay thousand of dollars per hour to see. Neither of those options really appealed to me, but the experiences Chester Brown described seemed like something I could enjoy. I wasn't sure though. My doubts were that the experience would feel sleazy, or hollow, or clinical, or that I would feel I was being rushed or scammed. So I did some googling and several of the escort sites I found all seemed to mention CERB, either linking to the escorts CERB profile, or the escort asking for you CERB handle if you had one. So I got lead here. I shopped around for about a week. I was looking for women who showed their face in their ads (because I wanted to be sure I would be with somebody I found attractive) and who expressed some personality that I could get a feel for. I was looking for somebody who sold a more romantic encounter and not somebody who sounded too raunchy. I narrowed it down to two women who appealed to me the most. One who was very much a classic beauty and very much my type, the other was a more modern edgy gal with lotsa tattoos. I had always found these tattoo-covered women attractive but had never been with one and saw this hobby as a chance to be with new types of women, but I decided to go with the woman was more my typical classic type first, just because this experience was already new enough. I gained more confidence in the sex trade and began to take chances on women who didn't show their faces in their ads and they all turned out to be very pretty in person. I continued to have many nice encounters in this hobby before having less pleasant ones. I've only had one truly lousy experience in this hobby, and that was more because SP had an annoying roommate and didn't shut off her mobile phone. The other experience that wasn't pleasant was more just awkward because the SP and I weren't a good fit physically. My experiences have been very positive. I've really enjoyed my time in this hobby. And those great first experiences really helped me get into this lifestyle. If they had been negative experiences, I probably would not have continued in this lifestyle. I'll admit, almost a year later I am still not completely used to having sex with somebody within 5 minutes of meeting them. It's still a bit odd for me and I miss the personal intimacy that a relationship brings. I also am still not used to condoms. They still feel kinda alien to me. But I have had really great times and got live out many fantasies. I've had the opportunity to be with many women who I'm pretty sure I wouldn't otherwise get the chance to be with. And this hobby has made me better at realizing and articulating my sexual preferences.
