Fair enough that not all SPs like their jobs. But as you said, lots of young ladies here with manners, respect & decorum. I was 20, 25, whatever & I never dismissed how a person made their living as being beneath me. No matter what it was. And if she has bills, she should have thought of that before being so downright smug. What man wants to pay to screw a robotic dilettante? She was bravado run amok & frankly, as a woman & SP, it's not sad, it's embarrassing. She has hot girl syndrome: "I'm cute, I'm fit, I'm gorgeous, men pay to fuck me, so I can act uppity & charm my way out." I've seen it before & while not pretty, that fall from the pedestal is usually quite predictable & justifiable. If she's old enough to fuck like an adult, she can damn well act like one. Being disdainful of other women, their choices, livelihoods, pride in their work, is not capricious youth. It is arrogance & should be nipped in the bud, as it was. She insulted 90% of the women here & most of the men. Remember it wasn't just H--kers, it was also a " h--ker board " she didn't need to feed her ego. And after being called on it, came back for more. Like Georgiana said, as advertisers, we should be held to a higher standard & most professional SPs have very little patience for this type of boorish behaviour. Getting shut down is part of growing up, my sisters kids are 9 & 7, and THEY know that actions have consequences. Now, so does she. I also wonder if she appreciates the irony of being fired from a pseudo-job. I know I do. Sandi

Well, to put it in perspective, if a guy had come on and said that being a "------" isn't a real job and hopefully no one is planning on doing it past the age of thirty, and then he had made some comment like "I don't care about getting respect from a bunch of ------s" -- well, I think he would have gotten suspended pretty quickly, too. Whether he were in his 20s or not, I don't think he would have had a lot of defenders. Being an SP who uses this board to advertise I think it's fair if she's held to a HIGHER standard than a hobbyist, not a lower one. That's just my take. I agree that she's young and people change their minds and attitudes over time. But I think part of that growth sometimes involves taking your knocks for your mistakes, and I believe that's what happened here.

yes this job most defiantly is a real job. Unfortunately I have no clue how to pay my taxes for it myself. if anyone would like to help me out with that that would be awesome cause I haven't done my taxes in 3 years and the government is get'n pissy lol But this job requires excellent customer service skills and the ability for great time management, scheduling, marketing, networking and presentation. Sometimes at the end of the day you are exhausted mentally or physical just like any other job. You have good days and bad and have a chance to meet alot of interesting people along the way, just like any other job. Unfortunately this job is stereotyped up the yahoo and people are closed minded r even jealous that they don't have the strength and business mind to be successful at our job :) and anyone that calls a Beautiful woman from a blocked number just to tell her they don't believe your job is good enough is a gutless coward with nothing better to do clarification, I haven't been avoiding doing my taxes I had lost my T4's for my ligit work and have been putting off requesting it from the government. But I was also scared because I didn't have much taxable income because jobs are scarce for an english girl here. if I can claim my SP work it would help me out and put that kick in the bum to get my stuff together before year four where its mandatory to file :)

Shyla is no longer welcome on this site, i find her comments rude and ignorant... Makes me sad that someone working in this profession looks down on it in such a negative way. This business is just as much a job as any other line of work and should be treated and respected as such. If your self employed working as a indie sp or working for an agency or spa you are still generating an income for yourself and should be proud. Like any job if you are unhappy with your work you should explore other options and another llne of work. The term hooker was used here in a negative way to provoke a reaction (and it worked) but we should not let a small minded person like this get under any of our skins (just not worth the reaction). She stupidly lost cerb as a valuable resource and that is going to hit her where it counts! Not much of a job when you piss off all your customers.

Thought I would say something about this thread, Is it a real job?- Hell yes, dam straight... if a lady is able to give her mind, body and soul to strange men, and make us gents feel amazing as a service, then it is the most difficult job on the planet. What other job would you open up your office to complete strangers and put on a happy face, provide services, put up with daily bullshit from tire kickers(lets call them sales individuals) pay taxes within the year and try to cope with daily issues and then give that stranger a hug and kiss good bye or hello? Yes it is a job, and I thank those women that have allowed myself into their homes/rooms and gave me their service and they always did it with a smiling face, I don't get that personal affect from my other business associates I deal with daily. I often found the toughest part for myself, is that awkward moment after an hour and two hours saying good-bye at the door after you have shared the most important thing to a woman and man (or MFF FMM you get the hint), intimacy...pure intimacy. I always have had the highest regard for a SP/MA over my time, and as far as I'm concerned I rather talk to them then a financial expert, lawyer, politician as the provider always makes a lot more sense and see's things a relative more simple manner. You really have to know what you are doing as a provider, it is not something that is handed to you, because you think you know how to satisfy your clients, it is about budgeting,it is about ensuring quality or quantity, it is ensuring that your personal discretion is never jeopardized, it is about having that me time as well. Yes it is a job, and must be a job that in some cities there is many are looking to get into it, as you see daily here on this site, more join here and on other sites for advertising we see more and new providers start up. I thoroughly enjoy my business transactions with a provider, so thank-you ladies. Oh by the way Cristy, tell those private callers/lurkers (stated get a real job) F-off to start, then ask them what are they doing for a real job?

Very sad, she's just a kid, unless there are reasons beyond this thread I think she should be given another chance. I know there are other ladies here as young as her but being in your 20's and saying something stupid is not uncommon. She fucked up, it happens, I don't understand why she doesn't deserve a second chance. Lastly, not everyone loves their jobs, it's not uncommon to do a job because you have bills to pay, a family to support etc.

Cristy Don't be angered or hurt by this other person's comments. She is not one of you ladies, nor in your ladies' league, and her comments reflect on her and her alone. The CERB ladies I have met are professional companions. And in my experience my encounters with CERB ladies are professional, professional in that the lady puts effort into making a man feel special...imagine, the first time a SP and Gentleman meet, and the lady can make that man feel important, provide a much needed escape for him, not to mention intimacy, not just sexual, but intimacy in the broadest sense of the word. It is a very gifted, skilled and professional lady that can do that. Someone who says she is too lazy to do anything else, she may be allowing her body to be used for sex for money but I hardly think she has the interpersonal skills to be a escort, or courtesan. A professional companion is much more than just a sex provider, yes sex is part of an encounter, but there is much more to the encounters, the social interpersonal side And again, to all the ladies out there, you all deserve a big thank you and our appreciation. The escape, companionship and intimacy you provide, with the no strings complications of a relationship, it certainly has improved the quality of my life, I'm sure it has done the same for other gentlemen too. Please don't let one person bring you down, there are many many more people who appreciate what you do. I understand the sentiments of giving this girl a second chance, and that suggestion is in CERB spirit, and the suggestion should be taken in that spirit, even if you don't agree. But I don't think she even cares one way or the other that she was suspended, she certainly doesn't seem to care about this profession and lifestyle. And she certainly doesn't have respect for this community. That is this board, her peers and potential clients. However that's up to Mod and Council to decide whether she deserves a second chance A morning rambling RG

I don't take offense.. because I only feel pity for you. I'm prouder every day of what I do.. because of how I view it... But since you don't and don't want to make any friends/garner any respect from your peers.. I have to wonder. What are you doing here then? If you use the board to advertise.. I doubt you'll get many clients because they too care whether you're in the job solely for money or also because you enjoy it.
  9. 3 points
You know there are women here that have been doing this for a while and might take offense to this especially when using terms to describe their job.. While it is great to have goals for the future, putting down the profession you're currently in right now and making money at will not gain you any respect among your peers here when you really need it. And trust me, in this job it is good to have people on your side. Just some food for thought.

Sorry to hear you feel that way. I am extremely satisfied in making this my career.. Although I've had several what I call 'square' jobs over the years I have been doing this 'job' longer than any other and am always thankful I've found it. For sure in the beginning for me it was a double life I led and my delicious little secret from most people.. but that was tough on me. 25 years later I actually openly tell certain people I meet (that I feel comfortable enough with) that I'm an escort when they ask what I do. I have been a waitress, secretary, teacher, sales rep, house-painter, tree-planter, long time student, physician, security guard, worked in construction, lawn maintenance.. etc etc.. and although some jobs I loved.. I can say with complete satisfaction that I've loved this job the most. I am as an escort.... a sexual surrogate, a dream come true for some, a fantasy come true for others, a safe place to experiment, a confidante, pleasure provider and in several cases a therapist! Everything you do in life can be viewed as necessary; important; valuable or all the opposite.. completely up to you. Life as with everything else is 'what you make it'

With the end of summer, :-(, marks the end of short skirts, summer dresses, short shorts, tight jeans, t-shirts, and wonderful people suntanning in the parks and at the beach. And the end of natural tan lines. Tan lines are they a turn on for you ? Do you find them sexy and appealing or... But these are a turn on for me: And for you, Tan lines: In or out ? But this is not bad either...

From time to time I get a call from a "private caller" telling me to go get a "real" job. Do you consider this to be a "real" job? My opinion is that this profession is just that a profession, deserving of as much respect as any other profession. We, the service providers, take much care in what we offer, earn respectable incomes, are respectable intelligent people who get good reviews. So how could it be looked at in any other way? Perhaps these "private callers" are just ball less ninnies who have much time to waste and no common sense?

This professional is certainly a real job and we do everything that anyone in a regular office/business does to prepare for each and every encounter/meeting. My education and Administrative/Fiance & Accounting/HR corporate jobs have certainly helped with running my business. We do quite a lot of administrative work (emails, PM's, phones and website(s) etc.), organizational and time management skills, finance (budgeting, taxes, auditing our books and financial goal projections etc.) and marketing/advertisement, code of ethics and business morals and of course competition but the competition certainly don't need to be at "war" or under cutting one another, most of us work together to help keep one another safe and offer advice and great support. In the end, our meetings are so much more pleasurable and fun. No minute taking, being phony in a meeting with people in a boardroom you don't care to be there with and the list goes on and on. Number one, I am the Boss/Owner and no one to answer to but me at the end of the day. Yes this is a real job and I have encountered people saying or emailing such things as expressed by the OP. This job is the most fun and rewarding one I have ever had and enjoy what and everything I do. Just like any other job, there are stressful days and we all have personal lives as well. Not everyone is cracked out for this profession but it is very much like working for someone in the in the corporate world except we as independent paid companions do all the work and our business success is solely based on us and the running of our business as such, a real business. There is so much more to my business than answering a phone/text/email and saying sure I'm available give me 15-30 minutes and then just providing the "service". I take my business very seriously and enjoy it as I get things in motion for an encounter.

The general public is pretty poor at interpreting statistics. Be careful of drawing conclusions such as the one Butterman referred to above. If you measure STI's amongst sex workers and compare them to the general population, it may be that the rate is lower because those with STI's drop out of the business. The population has thus been reduced to include mainly those without STI's. To be able to make the above conclusion, one needs to look at current sex workers and former sex workers, and compare to the general population. Once you throw in former workers, then you have to correct for time and other facts, and it gets messy. Awhile back I read "Freakonomics". It was pretty interesting, so I started picking up other similar books. One was "More Sex Is Safer Sex" by economist Steven Landsburg. Chapter 1 is a very interesting read for anyone who touts the virtue of abstinence. Consider: [--]If everyone abstained from sex, there would be an end to sexually transmitted diseases. [--]Unfortunately, the human race would also come to an end -- unless of course we move completely to in vitro fertilization. [--]Therefore, it is likely that there will always be people having sex. [--]Those who abstain, or are monogamous, are essentially limiting the opportunities of those who are not. [--]Therefore those who are not have a smaller pool of people with whom to have sex. [--]The consequence of this, therefore, is that once a disease enters that small population the risk of contracting it becomes higher. [--]If more people had sex with multiple partners, then the field of choices would be greater and the risk of contracting a disease actually LOWER. Now, this may seem counter-intuitive to most people, but it's apparently sound economic thinking. I'm not an economist. And it's not my theory. So don't flame me for it. If you want to understand it, read Landsburg's book. It's interesting, funny, and makes you go "ummm ... say what?" Besides ... more sex is not only safer sex ... it's way more fun!

I left the government to do what I do know. When I did, so many people were shocked, saying 'you left the government?! But the pension!' These same people just loved tright through me when i said that for me, pension meant nothing when every day I hated my job in the mean time. I hated it so much that i stopped caring. I would go in late, or not at all. I don't do that with my current job. Because I LOVE it. Not only does my current job give me the ability and freedom to run things for myself, but it draws on the management and marketing skills I've acquired over the years. And i get to play with cock all the time! To anyone trying to tell me my job isn't a real job, i just laugh. Its real. And not only is it the best job I've ever had, but since deciding to go this route, I've never in my life been happier, and my life has never been as stress-free. Doing this was the best decision I've ever made.

Damn! Don't make into certainly hero! It sure doesn't look that way from here! I'm just an old guy who has some problems coming, but not as much trouble giving pleasure. Experience does count for something. At the risk of becoming completely unpopular I feel compelled to retell an old joke: In a small Italian town there was a man of 92 years of age. Ever since his adolescence he had been a great lover and still was quite popular with the ladies. One day, his doctor gave him his annual physical exam. And the man seemed in very good health. The doctor, yielding somewhat to curiosity, said: "now we will examine you sexual organs." The old man stuck out his tongue and wiggled his middle finger.

No one who reads my posts is likely to be surprised that my own nominee for goddess is Ariel3. She's got two threads of her own here, at Barb's and Barefax; four duo threads (with Scarlett, Jennie, Sophia V, and Claire Heavens); is discussed numerous times in the Barb's thread; and was the subject of a recent public dispute on here (all in fun, of course :)) between me and my friend Average. No pictures available, sadly, but think Emma Glover or a young Kate Beckinsale, and you'll be close.

I still get incredibly nervous every time I meet a new lady, although that is part of the thrill and exhilaration for me. It's an adrenalin rush at times. I hope I never lose that. If this hobby ever becomes ordinary or common place to me, I'll likely stop.

Thanks Jabba, and it was an awesome evening. The mussels are really simple. Broth is white wine and a touch of water, chopped onion, celery and garlic, parsley and pepper. Add mussels to the boiling liquid, and when they are open (usually 2 - 3 minutes) they are ready to eat. You only use maybe 1/2 to 1 inch of liquid in the bottom of the pot. Bon appetit.

Well we have never criminalized prostitution (ever) before in Canada and such a backwards step would be met with much resistance on many fronts. Fortunately I don't see this as a possible outcome. Many of the members of Parliament that would have to pass such legislation are clients too :)

Not really sure what the heck made me think of this but I remember my son and his friends using this saying when they were probably about seven. "Suce ma graine pour cinquante cennes" which translates to "suck my cock for fifty cents". It was said in a sing song type of way; kind of an innocent taunt cause I am not sure they actually really understood what they were saying. Trying to hide my amusement, I would always scold them when I heard them. I mean, come on, who in their right mind would for a measily fifty cents. Now, you have to understand that at that time, this profession wasn't even on my radar but I knew that if it was me...fifty cents wouldn't cut it LOL

I'll just end my posts on this thread with this. I don't think she should be excused of her actions because of her age. I never meant to suggest that she should be allowed to be offensive because she is young, but she is young and has an attitude, a bad attitude. I do think age is a factor, not an excuse because there are lots of mature 20 something ladies on this site, but definitely a factor. I do think there should be consequences for her posts on this thread/board. All I'm saying is she should get a second chance, it seemed from Mod's post that she is permanently banned. Give her a long ban, tell her why and when/if she returns see if her attitude changes. A second chance, that was all I was trying to say.

not only is this a real job this job also is lacking a lot of support for people who are struggling with many things outside of the work and inside of the work and pushing them away isn't going to get them feel like they are have a solid support system. the thing with most other jobs out there they have a solid support and community in place. I struggled with my own issues that were personal and work related along and the hardest part that I struggle with is finding a place that I can reach out to for support and even some business guidance since everyone in this has thier own individual way of working this and it doesn't work for someone else so then it creats tension and isolation. shalya leaving i believe that was username being sent away may not help her in what she is struggling with and if your left in isolation for a long period of time breaking through that is a hard struggle.

The thing with Deb and her feelings for Dexter creeps me out, too, haha. But I like that they're willing to take the risk and make the audience uncomfortable. I kind of like what it says about us as the audience -- that we're cool with watching a serial killer do his thing but semi-incestuous love is creepy. It's sneaky. :)

Carrie. You, and the other professional companions should feel proud. From this appreciative gentleman's vantage point, I know what you ladies provide is an escape, companionship, and a few hours where we feel special. And no, since embarking on this lifestyle in July 2010, you'd think, given the way mainstream society portrays this lifestyle, I might have run across some hookers, whores, or prostitutes. But all I have run across are Ladies and a couple times, even a Goddess or two, maybe three or four. Ladies and Goddesses who have allowed me to spend intimate time alone with them, time well spent which has improved the quality of my life overall. So to all the professional companions out there, thank you for the profession you chose, and the intimacy you provide. It is appreciated by this gentleman, and has a value beyond the donation given. I am sure there are other gentlemen out there that appreciate the companionship you ladies provide as I do. Don't know if a thread hijack, but it is an appreciative rambling RG

Great reply. I think you'll find that different ad sites are better in some cities, than others. Wherever you find the ads, it is always a good idea to ask questions and do some basic research before jumping in. If for no other reason than to make sure the person you contact is your best match for what you are looking for. BP has space limitations, so it is much harder to present an ad with sufficient information that someone can just look and decide. Also, it doesn't allow for site links, and pictures can be deleted or blocked so the advertiser has a lot of limits in how they can market themselves.

A GFE encounter whether SAFE or a TRUE GFE should be like being with your ideal girlfriend. (Relaxing, affectionate, fun and everything else a date should be) A lady answering her phone has nothing to do with the term GFE it is just plain bad business practice. Everyone will have there own definition of what a GFE is, there is no Book on the true definition of companion and her services. To question why a companion would or would not offer any services is really none of your business. At the end of the day you will book a lady based on what you are seeking. Just because a service or act is available with a lady, does not mean it is available to every guest that she has. Like anything in life there are risks, if you decide to hobby know that you are at risk for any act you indulge in - even hugging(pink eye can be spread that way). Before you ask why a lady would offer anything that could risk her health, maybe you need to ask the men why they would indulge in an act that could risk theirs....

Kudos to you, Meg, for posting this in the newbie thread for those not yet initiated, and as a reminder for some veterans. On first reading, I did not pick up any negative vibe, and believe it was merely in the jogging of memories that this post was made. Everyone takes something different away from it, and that's as it should be. Different views and opinions being aired. So gents, respect the ladies that allow you to have those hours of escape, social and sensual adventures, where, if you've taken proper steps, you've got no worries of your privacy being breached, or of indiscretions reaching those in your real worlds. Compare that to the risks of a tryst in the square world. The ladies, in turn and with full rights, expect to be safe from harm and harassment and to be able to conduct their business without the annoyances that they unfortunately still too often have to deal with in this day and age. Hopefully, with time, the status quo will change bit-by-bit for the better. And, by all means, keep the fantasy world separate from the real one. Once that line blurs, it's a sign of emotions in confusion. Revel in the beautiful adventures, but know that there is a line that must not be crossed. FR #offmysoapboxnow :)

For me it's more about the role they play...that's what sticks in my mind, not the actual actor. For example...I like Christian Bale in American Psycho, John Travolta in Face Off, William H Macy in Shameless, Tom Berenger in Platoon, Vin Diesel in everything...anyhow, its the persona that they portray that floats my boat lol. Hmmmm I like bad boys I guess lol But not to be out done... mcLovin, Doug Heffernan and Alan Harper have a place too.
