I swear I will someday be able to post again in the highlights thread, but........ Got a text out of the blue from a dear friend in her mid-forties today. She and her husband are the best friends you could ask for..full of life, honest, and there for their friends. Looks like it's our turn to be there for them. She took a tumble this summer and broke both bones in her right leg and has had a slow, arduous recovery, but since she's in good shape, she healed well. However, she fell because she had a dizzy spell and has had headaches for the past year. You guessed right......diagnosed with a brain tumor yesterday. I have no idea what the near future holds and they live 70 miles away. I have to go visit, but do they want company? Somehow I have to show them how much they both mean to me, but this is going to take some figuring out. Love and support without being intrusive.

The whole Issue is that cerb was created to get away from the negatives supported by other sites. It is not acceptable to bring another site's bs here. If a fight or act of redemption is deemed necessary, do it at the source! Airing dirty laundry in any way shape or form is not allowed here. God forbid that should change.

I have to admit.....I was super embarrassed when i first received the new $20's.... Cuz I laughed.....thinking it was a joke.....like play money. I was looking at it like wtf?! Then I remembered the other new bills (50's,100's)...... Ooopsie. Too Funny. Ish. ;)

Most often people have said I looked like Bruce Willies. Years ago I was told on a few occasions that I looked like Mickey Rourke from his "9 1/2 Weeks" era. And lately I had a few people mention Anderson Cooper, a chubby Anderson Cooper but that's just because of the white hair! If only I had some of the women and money to go with the resemblance!:icon_biggrin:

Perhaps CERB is not the appropriate place to discuss what is happening on other boards/sites? There is a thread in the general discussion named Airing out the dirty laundry on cerb - Not permitted (Stalkers, tiffs, etc...).

I searched for a thread on this topic and surprisingly couldn't find one, and it's definitely one that (sadly) needs to be addressed. Lately, I have been hearing some appalling things from ladies I speak to: and that is, some gentlemen have been sharing information about ladies location. I am just floored that someone would think this is information to share. Where a lady works from, whether it is an apartment/condo/house/hotel, is information that should always remain private. If you see a lady in an apartment/condo, and happen to have seen another lady in the same building: it's NOT your business to tell either of them that the other lady is in the same building as they are. If you see a lady in a hotel where you've seen others: it's not your business to tell her that 'so-and-so lady' also works from that hotel. If your buddy works close to a lady, and you want to recommend her: maybe say that she's works very close...but do NOT say 'Hey she works in the building right next to you!' Many women work out of their home. This is their private life. And even if they rent a separate work apartment, or work in a hotel, it is not up to you to disclose this information to anyone, ever. Telling other people puts her safety at stake. And could put her in compromising or embarrassing situations. The ONLY way you should know where a lady works from is when she tells you herself. Please, always remember what business we are in. Discretion is the ultimate key to happy, safe, encounters. There is never a need to share someone's personal information with others. Thank you.

As I approach my 50th I was wondering the other day what are an SP's thoughts on when a hobbiest like myself should consider packing it in so to speak. I believe a man in his 50's just like a woman of the same age can still be quite attractive and sexy in their own right. I have also found being with a more mature SP can lead to a better encounter sometimes because of their experience and the fact they know how to handle themselves in a more professional way. Now in no way am I meaning to imply that a younger SP can't deliver every bit as good as an experience as a more mature lady and lucky for us here on Cerb we have the best of both worlds. So my question really has two sides to the coin A: When should a hobbiest "retire" B: When should an SP "retire ' My two cents are if I'm still enjoying it and not repulsing my date I'm good to go...and if the SP I'm with is still turning me on then it's all good What are your thoughts?

There are a number of things wrong with that article: speaking for sex workers, demonizing clients, wrongheaded john-shaming and rehabilitation campaigns, reinforcing the idea that sex workers are commodities to be bought and sold, etc. They seem have taken as a given that "it is not OK to buy sex" and then worked from there. I wish they had given some kind of justification for that premise so there could actually be the dialogue that they purport to want. It's hard to talk with someone when their starting position is "you're wrong and awful."

If you do change providers, you should be able to port your number to the new provider. No need to change the number.

I have been told that I looked like Bobby Darin. Unfortunatley he died at a young age. I was in Pureto Rico and this girl came up to me and said you look like Bobby Darin. Ever since I was a teenager I was getting those comments.

I like it, I love the colours and think the new bills will last much longer than the old dirty paper ones. However, machines need to be updated in order to accomodate the new bills - I tried using a new twenty at an automated grocery teller and it wouldn't accept it.

People jaywalking on dark streets wearing dark clothing at night. OK, I know Goth is cool with some people, but the number of people wearing all dark at night in the street is amazing. Rick Mercer's Rant this week was on just this topic. Yeah, I know, I dress in a dark suit with a dark coat but I'm the one driving, not the one in the street!

I let some negative stuff on the site when it is here to stop bait and switch and when it puts someone in danger (Like this). We DO NOT allow negative posts of people complaining of bad services, rates, etc... and we not not let NEW members post negative comments without proof (like links to stolen photos). We do not allow most negative comments because... 1) we with to stop any wrongful SLANDER 2) To stop unethical people from posting false negative info about the competition 3) Every story has TWO sides (some people are never happy, others have insane expectations, others show up dirty (bad hygiene) and even drunk then when refused service (or specific services) get mad and post crap. 4) to stop people form hurting the ladies feelings or belittle them! (This is a big one as everyone has "OFF DAYS" and everyone still needs to work and earn a income on off days. Guys will cry foul about this but it happens and it's not like your ordering a pizza or a new ipod your dealing with a real human being with real feelings and we all have bad days. No other business compares to this one and some people forget that ...and some people just like to complain. It's takes a lot more effort to write a GOOD recommendation then to post slander and negative comments so we feel the positive comments are worth 100 times more then any negative comment.

I really don't think it has ever been a religious thing. Just groups that happen to be from a certain background. The commander of the Munich massacre came from a Jewish Christian family, and a good number of Palestinians are Christian. I think it's been framed to be a Jewish Muslim conflict to simplify matters, as well as rile up support on either side. I don't see a resolution in the next 10 or 15 years. On one side (Israeli), the official demands are: To be recognized as a state To have all the settlements as the exist now and to allow for natural growth For Palestinians, it gets more complicated There are some that will only talk to Israel if the latter is willing to accept the 1967 borders, and in turn remove all settlements beyond the line Some want to go back to the 1948 borders at the creation of Israel And some will not accept Israel under any circumstance, and want things to go back prior to the 1940s when Israel does not exist. You have the Fatah and Hamas on the Palestinian side, and depending on your view, that means the two parties in power over their respective areas are moderate and extreme, or extreme and very extreme. You have governments in Israel going farther to the right since Rabin. And when an agreement was made, Rabin was assassinated by someone on the far right. Then as far as the youth go, which has been mentioned by some here, I believe are getting more entrenched in their parents' hatred of the other side. The Arab Spring consisted of Arabs being angry at one of their own. But many leaders invent up a fake enemy (sometimes a real one comes along), and it's citizens are united. The only division is how hated is the enemy. Arab youth, especially ones in Gaza know that the reason they can't leave is because of a blockade. They have grown up to believe it is Israel's fault, and they do not have access to the resources citizens in countries of the Arab Spring had. Israelis fear for their lives every time an alarm is sounded of indicating yet another rocket attack. And then there is Jerusalem. Once a wholly (as of the 20th century on-wards) Muslim controlled city, followed by the British, then in the Palestinian side, then after the 6 Day War, incorporated in Israel and proclaimed the capital, unloading a whole shit storm of new hate from the Palestine side. You have a limited number of countries who actually put their embassies there, while most remain in Tel Aviv. Go back beyond the 20th Century, and Jerusalem has gone from one control to another so many times, it becomes dizzying trying to recollect the order. The biggest problem? (In my humble opinion that is) It's not the borders. It's the pain and suffering on both sides. Imagine someone you absolutely love, a mother, father, significant other being killed by a drunk driver or murderer. Some are able to forgive that person, a lot don't. But the slightest bit of silver lining in that incredibly dark cloud is that you probably have other friends and family that can get you through this. I guess I just do not agree that street prostitution in and of itself causes problems. I think that street drug use, street gangs, street alcoholics, street homeless beggars, and street drug selling causes more problems, and has more of a social impact on the neighbourhood than a couple of ladies standing on a corner waiting for a ride. I think that, if you check the links regarding SW interviews, that the SWs receive far more problems from doing it (as in having garbage thrown at them by passing cars, along with insults, and along with the occasional bad date) than the neighbourhood suffers from them being there. For the past 30 years public solicitation has been illegal and LE has had the full force of the law behind them to crack down on SWs and their clients. And yet year after year, and sting after sting, and charge after charge, they are still out there. Because it doesn't work, none of those laws 'work'. None of those laws will ever work. It's time to use a harm reduction and real alternative solution to what people perceive to be the problem with SWs and their clients. Their clients are no more or less likely to be violent or problematic than an indoor workers clients, but the indoor worker has the benefit of being in a safe place when she answers the call, she has the benefit of talking to the guy prior to being in close contact with him, and she has the privileged position of just saying no. By the time most SWs are in a position of finding even half of that out about their clients, they have already driven away with them. The public solicitation laws and the enforcement and push back of the SWs has increased their danger, and increased the illusion the public has that they are not worthy. One thing Swedish SWs say is that due to the criminalization of their clients that they face far more risks in the work than before. That is a hard line crack down approach: reduced the clients in great numbers. But the SWs are still there, now working under a lot more duress and stress and much more vulnerable, and that is the result of the crack down laws. Before the crackdown laws the ladies had time to size up a client, they don't have that option now. And keeping in mind that a major number of SWs have other issues that drive them, like mental illness or addictions. After many years of being pushed around and charged and arrested by LE, that is the last place they go to when in trouble. These ladies don't have celphones and computers, and they don't have a place to bring clients (well, there are a couple of places now set up in Vancouver that does allow that by simply not forbidding it), and car dates really are their only solution. These are not the women guys are calling up to come and do an outcall to their hotel or home, and even if they did, these women would have no means of getting there anyway. We are talking about the 20-40 dates, not 200-400 :)

I've encountered some AWFUL men with hygeine issues. One in particular didn't just smell bad, he TASTED horrible! I always do bbbj and when I went down, I litterally almost puked. Because I'm new to the biz (even more so then) I just froze because I didn't know what to say or do. Guy, when you make an appointment to see a lady, please treat it as a normal date with someone you really like. Wonderful idea! And then, when we hit rock bottom, we can demand the government bail us out. I think you don't understand our business. SPs who treat their customers the way most businesses today treat their customers wouldn't be in business long. My biggest lament in life is that I'm treated better when I'm making my money than when I'm spending it. And that's a very sad comment on business today. The thing is, you're mixing apples with oranges. Corporations are entities that exist for one purpose only: to make profits. But SPs are not corporations. We aren't doing this simply to make money, but to make livings. Perhaps you should consider that we know what we're doing.

I do incalls 95% of the time and I always have a shower when I arrive whether I actually need to or not - on occasion even after the SP has said it wasn't necessary. I think it serves to boost my confidence and the confidence of the SP. It also serves as an indication that I am concerned about this aspect of our encounter and I am determined to get it right.

Another Goddess for today. I'd like to propose the lovely, sweet, and oh so sexy Penelope Davis. As we all know, Penelope hasn't been as active on the board over the last few months as she has been busy attending to other things. I'm sure others would agree, she has been missed. My Goddess for today is someone I've had the pleasure of meeting recently, although I'd wanted to for quite a while... Emily Rushton. Yes, she looks good enough to eat. But the real reason she's a CERB Goddess is because of the good sense she brings us; her posts are always well thought out and well worth reading.
