Since the OP is looking for advice at the beginning of his journey, perhaps it would be better to advise him to take a woman's word at face value. Asking an SP for something she clearly states is a no-go is not a good way to begin. Everyone's experience is different but for me, SPs that advertise CBJ are quite handy at getting that hoodie on there before the fun begins. YMMV

I think it's up to everyone to set their own rates. It's a personal decision, and one based on a lot of factors that we might not necessarily know about. "Do 'they' even know the cost of living in Canada?" I'm assuming you're talking about recent immigrants of migrant laborers? I'm sure they do know the cost of living here, but need to make a certain amount of money to make ends meet. I have no idea, we aren't walking in their shoes after all... Ultimately we can't judge. We don't know anything about their lives or what determined their rates, etc. I don't think it has anything to do with self-respect or fairplay either... it's just people trying to make a living in ways they see fit. These things have a tendency of working themselves out. I'm really sorry it's making life difficult for you, Eve. I think that the really good clients, clients who are respectful and kind, will continue to see the ladies they want, regardless of the cost. I don't think it will drive your prices down at all. People are always transitioning in and out of the industry... Those that stick around (like you) and have good reputations (like you) will be successful in the long run. Christy: If you are not raving about Salavitori's there is no hope for you. :-) I second Bramoso. Even more so though, I recommend On the Wedge in the Sunnyside Mall in Bedford. Now I know what you are thinking, a mall food court place, but seriously it is gourmet pizza and very good. Very different recipes. Moon Pie is unique and delcious. Not been around on CERB much due to a sudden health problem developed last year and I can only eat a tiny amount of cheese and a tiny amount of tomatoes now, so pizza is not practical for me anymore. I miss it. Allot. Friend of mine got the place in his neighbourhood (Alexandra's in Hammonds Plains) to make a pizza using some sort of mustard base. I realize this sounds full on insane but it worked. I could have a slice and half and it was great. Will try to get more details if you are interested.

It's all in the connection for me, which has been stated several times. Time and finances don't allow me to hobby too often and I love to window shop, but when I do find the opportunity to visit a lady, I tend to avoid the price extremes. However, those price extremes too often do not reflect the experience. There's a true gem or 10 at every price level for me. I have met ladies in very humble surroundings (not dirty.....just humble) that I really fell for......genuine human beings. I have met the mid-range ladies that I felt soooo comfortable with. I have met the odd slightly more expensive lady that were the most down-to-earth people you'd ever want to meet and never regretted the extra money. Like another poster said, I'm not cheap, but I am frugal. If we enjoy ourselves- at whatever price point- you've made me happy. So far, the ladies I have met have either been incredibly good actresses or we have both just been normal human beings who have enjoyed each others' company. The ladies I enjoy are the same ones I would enjoy regardless of circumstances and price is not the determining factor.

Summer, even though we have not met, I can certainly understand why you had lower pricing to start your SP career. To me, a lady is not "undercutting" others when she first starts out with lower prices, but she is simply gauging her (or his) level of companionship. After a while, with recommendations and experience, adjusting her pricing to what she feels is appropriate; in effect, EARNING her justification. New providers will always draw attention from established ones, that's just the nature of the business.

As i retired "older gent" hobbiest on a ever declining fixed income let me say that price does matter. Not that I'm a Walmart shopper,but after surveying a ladies web page, and I admit to being a visual person, and find an SP (there are many) that appeal to me I turn to the Donations section. If a the time my "piggy bank" can stand the intrusion I pursue the inclination. However if it cant stand the run on the bank I put my urges on hold for a time, and even may double up on my contributions to the "discretionary" expenditure so that I can eventually spend quality time with a desired companion. Should someone appeal to me with a low price it in no way diminishes my desire to to contact them,as I will be ready to TOFTT This said i find myself drawn to the SPs that are in the "normal" to "low end high" range for CERB members, who have always provided a most relaxing and enjoyable encounter and am not sure that the additional wait time (for the bank to fill) to obtain a high end priced companion would provide an experience any more satisfying than my "budget allows. This said i'm not cheap but am a frugal spender.

FunValerie hit the nail on the head here with this quote. We are selling exactly that. A gentleman will look for who he is attracted to, chemistry clicks, services he wants, and makes his decision from there. those that 'undercut`tend to do it for quantity rather than quality sometimes, which is a shame. Albeit, there are circumstances that we don`t know about in why some do this. I have advertised `special rate`for a certain day, and had someone contact me three weeks later asking for the service for THAT particular rate, just because someone else is offering it. I may have placed 5 or 6 ads since that particular rate, and the gentleman has said, `well then, let me know when your going to offer it again at that price`. First of all, its not up to me to let you know when I am offering special rates, its up to you to look for what you are seeking. Hence the reason for advertising. It`s potential clients like this that make the undercut girls have a lot of business sometimes. Those gentleman are only looking at getting their rocks off at the lowest price. Not someone that I want to see. I would rather have a gentleman that wants to see me for me, and the services that I offer. A few have stated the same thing here in this thread, that rates are not a local thing, it is up to the particular SP what he or she is going to rate specific services at, and why. Base your rates on your services, how you feel you present yourself and if you have something that you offer that no one else does, or few do offer. Services are going to be different all over the place, so are rates, gentlemen are looking for what is attractive to them, so I wouldn`t worry about the 'ùndercutters`, when someone says to me, `'oh, so and so does this for $xx', I just tell that person to go to them then, as I am not reducing my rate just because someone else does. Most of us have non-negotiable rates, so why bother even asking for a reduction, I consider it rude for anyone to ask for a reduced rate. Have your rates as to what you feel your services and you are worth.

I have just come to realize that my touring rates are lower than most providers similar to me. Its not something I ever consciously noticed until I was reference checking for my current tour and noticed than some of the ladies I was contacting have rates substantially higher than mine. I had a gent book a four hour date and when he provided his reference and I checked her site I noticed that she's getting the same donation for 3 hours as I'm getting for four. So I started checking others and I'm substantially below the other touring ladies rates. NOT INTENTIONAL!! I might increase my rates next tour to keep me more in line with others so I'm not undercutting and offending or annoying anyone.

I am a very positive, spiritual person and I support everyone for what they want to do and I try my best not to judge anyone based on ANYthing. I charge $XXX/hr inclusive and that by no means indicates how I value myself. I am NOT a stupid woman nor am I blind to the market where I am. I am also open to my limitations with hours, looks, wardrobe etc. No one knows my situation nor do they know me or what I deal with on a daily basis. I am a quality provider who cares, who has amazing skills and I try to connect with my clients. I shun many of the industry "norms" because I don't agree with them. I give pleasure because I love it and I want to do it. To have someone comment there are no quality providers at my price point or that I am not attractive because of my price point or that I am not a serious provider or in it for the long haul, to that I say piss on you...I am amazing. I may not be for everyone but for those who see what I am and what I give.. I am NOT my price point. I get very tired of these threads. The bottom line is do what you want. Do what makes you happy. Do what makes you feel good about you and fuck everyone else. If someone does it different say "you go girl". There are enough people against us in this industry without driving it home amongst ourselves. Enough already. Everyone has a place no matter rates, menu, looks, age, sex, or any other factor involved. We are all in this together and we are all important. One year in the making...I hope I said it in a positive manner.

I'm with Nat on this one.... the rate a lady chooses is up to her, and her only. There is no set local price. We don't know the reasons behind why someone decides on a rate to charge, and we have no right to pass judgement on them for what they decide. Charging a lower rate doesn't mean the person has no self-respect. It could mean they are comfortable providing their services at that rate. Or it could mean they need the money. Or it could mean many things. Similar things have been said about providers who choose to offer 15-minute specials, and I firmly believe none of us has the right to look down our noses at the girls who choose to do so, and I belive the same about the rate issue. What other girls charge has no effect on my business. My clients come to see ME, and I believe most of them would no matter what I charged. I am not concerned about 'losing' clients to lower-priced providers. Clients don't 'belong' to us anyway.

Of course not being a man I don't have any final word . However I think the best blow job is the one you are presently enjoying . It already sounds like you know what that is, which puts you ahead of the game. :) As for your other comment, one of the biggest myths/stereotypes that seems to be out there is the idea that all the ladies in this business are somehow coerced or involved because they have no other option. If you've been reading the threads hereabouts I imagine you've already realized how often that is clearly not the case! I seem to recall the MOD making the point that we are not allowed to discuss other ladies rates on this board. I know I got into trouble for doing so. All I can talk about is myself which is to echo what some other ladies have said. We are all unique and as long as we are comfortable charging what we do, it's really no one else's business. And for the guys who book solely on price point, they usually prove in the end to not being the most desirable clients. If someone is going to haggle with me over $20 or more, then I suggest they move on to the ladies who offer those rates.

People keep mentioning $100/hr but where are these ads? I look at BP all the time and have never seen more than 1 ad for less than $100 per HALF hr. Also the Asian agencies (presumably where the immigrants may be working?) charge the same as local ones ($200/hr.).

Define low rates????? You can't without stepping on toes here, as every lady has their own way of producing their rate. See, when we state lower/higher rates then what exactly is a lower/ higher rate? I've seen some terrific ladies at 200 an hour or a little more than 200 I have seen those that are 300 or more, and in fact 400 or more an hour and have spent over 1k with lady in the USA for a 3 hour session. Regardless of the rate, that it may be, there is always a "connection"depending how one individual looks at it and that can happen at 100 an hour, I don't know I have never seen a lady in my time for an 100 an hour,unless my mind is failing me from 10-15 years ago. Companionship is defined as a "feeling of fellowship or friendship" that can be found within ladies regardless of rates. I think giving your own perspective clouds the original OP thread start. A Courtesan is a SP with wealthy or upper class clients, I've seen many Courtesan's however I do not think I'm wealthy, perhaps upper class, but why the difference between a SP/Courtesan/ VIP lady? The fact remains, if the gentleman has the coin, passes the screening methods, is it not really all the same?? The thread was about undercutting, prices will always be from one pendulum to another, it is always "companionship" sharing skin on skin contact,sharing small talk, and simply being friends for that 100 an hour time, or 200 or 300 plus an hour...it's all just the same RG,and yes there is "something" and "somebody" a lady ....a human being trying to get by. I'm just looking at this from all sides.

i hear about that 100/hr rate, but i think like others, I do not actually see anyone advertising it. I am always curious about where are all these ads lol. However my opinion has been said a few times on here, might as well repeat it: the 100/hr 'experience' is not the same as the 400/hr experience, however guys who are just looking to get off may claim. The 100/hr or even the 120/45 setup is not the same set up as a professional independent sp working alone, without a revolving door and a half dozen people in the incall, along with someone placing ads, booking appts, and to be sure, cleaning up the shower and work rooms. In order to pay for all that, and to pay for their keep and any expenses incurred to get them into the country to work illegally (if that is one of the setups the OP saw) they cannot charge 300 an hour. They need McDonalds pricing, but they also need McD's get up and go. Call at 10 to 5, arrive at 5pm, and out the door at 5:45, no exceptions. And onto the next one, due in at 6pm, they do not have the luxury of fancy surroundings, or rest time between appts, they are only taking in half of the donation, after all expenses, and need to keep up the pace. Some guys will go and repeat, that is just what they want, a preset menu with an interchangeable sp, doesn't much matter to them who showed up to open the door, whether they can even have a conversation of any kind, they come in and then off they go. Many other guys look for more, they try one of the 100/hr setups and find it inadequate, lacking, etc. They have no interest in that, and look for something and someone more. At no time is a 100/hr shop with multiple sps actual competition for an indy sp, in other words. the kind of guy who is OK with B&S and low expectations is not your clientele, if you are someone who makes an effort and it shows. If they are new to this kind of activity, usually the factory shop setup horrifies them, and they may be too scared to try again. Or they may then be that guy who asked a bunch of questions about 'is anyone else there' or 'are your pics real', etc lol Be prepared to tell the caller that you have more to offer them than a rate and a menu. And that you are looking for guys who can appreciate that. oh, and i forgot to add that sometimes a rate like that is just a rate posted in an ad. It is in no way ending up as the rate actually paid if the client wanted FS for an hour, for example, or to touch, or to actually have the sp stay lol. That is the other side of the story behind rates like that.

Any intimate activity with anyone, be it a professional companion, bar pick up, girlfriend/CL/wife ALL carry an element of risk...celibacy, well masturbation is the only safe sex and no, not being glib here Condoms are not risk elimination, they are risk reduction As Cat pointed out, never ask a companion if she is clean, and don't ask the lady if you have a morning after panic attack if you should be tested YOUR SEXUAL HEALTH IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY...you should get tested regularly if you are sexually active One more thing, while there is an element of risk in being sexually active, even if using safe sex practices, celibacy while safe (sex wise that is) carries something else IMHO far more unhealthy...and that is loneliness...and I am speaking from experience Anyhow, a rambling RG

For me it's not just "is it available" it's more of "do your feet do it for me" i for sure enjoy certain activities. This guy should get a recommendation. Wouldn't that be funny? He has saved a lot of us many times. One small example is the Arabic massage girl who looks hot on BP and says a Must see. I was going to go until her pic showed up on his site. The guy is great...and good for all the terrific genuine MPs and SPs all of us love in Ottawa.

Actually, I've jumped the gun a little bit. I do have one fantasy which keeps playing in my mind eversince I saw her - one of my favorites and regular SPs. I fantasize that I would book her for a day and bring her home. We would be just like lovers, we would cook, we would work out in the gym, we would swim ( more like skinny-dipping) and relax in the hot tub and we would watch something interesting on tv at night. We would of course make love whenever we feel like it. This will most likely remain an unfulfilled fantasy for me.:icon_sad:

This would be a perfect post on that board that rhymes with cerb but starts with P. I would add: 1. I get that you don't appreciate the sensational sensations of the r&t, but don't put down or belittle the guys who do & who post their reviews. Frankly it makes you look like a cheapo jackass when you say he's an idiot for spending 180/hr for r&t instead of getting micro fs for 120/45. 2. I get that you like bbbjs, but I don't want to hear about how it is zero risk for both parties again and again when it has been confirmed by the Health Nurse that it is high risk for the sp. Let it go, and leave it alone, instead of trying to coerce the sp in a review who only does cbjs that their biz will suffer because of that. It won't. 3. Leave your two cents out of an sps ad. She paid to be there, you didn't, and posting IN her ad that you don't think she is worth the rates she is charging, or can't possibly look like her pictures, makes you a jackass. 4. Learn what to look for in an ad. Learn what to ask for when contacting the sp. If you don't do either of this, learn not to complain when you don't get everything you assumed. 5. Go to have a good time; go in with a good attitude. Sps respond better to a smile and a thank you than they do to arrogance or questions about their health or latest std checkup.
