I think the best way to get "rid of bad apples" is to just focus on your own business and promoting the visions you want in the industry - be the change you want to see in the world.... wasting time and energy on others is pointless - "the bad seeds" as you call them.... they always self destruct anyways. Cheers

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week in Canada and I have come to understand as I have gotten older that Mental Health Challenges are going to impact all of us at some point in our life yet we are often unwilling to seek the help we may need.... afraid of the stigma of being seen as needing mental help. A number of years ago I experienced a significant loss in my life that I still deal with every day and struggle with every day. I have started to talk more openly about my challenges but yet still have not really sought professional help in dealing with the grief I feel. I have not gotten the help for a few reasons.... 1. I truly feel that this burden I carry is rightfully mine for not doing more for the loved one I lost ... I know that is stupid but it is how I feel. 2. I was raised in an environment where men were the strong ones.... they provided help... they supported other in need they bottled up their feelings and looked after others.... so it is a sign of weakness to not be able to cope with what life throws your way 3. A lot of who you are is how you are seen in the community and in your workplace and in your social circles and while by no means a high profile person I have a very good senior' management position... I am active in my community on several charities and boards and amongst my social friends I have always been the person they come to for advice and frankly I am somewhat afraid of how all of that would change if they knew of my daily struggles. So why am I even posting this... well like I said I am trying to talk more about it and strange as it seems the fact that I am just Ice4fun here makes it somewhat easier. I am also posting this because I think we all have a responsibility to look among our friends for signs that they are struggling and give them our support to seek help. Of course as I know only too well it is often way easier to give advice then take it yourself. I hope Mental Health Awareness week allows you to give some thought to this issue. http://www.thetelegram.com/News/Local/2015-05-04/article-4134588/Mental-Health-Week-gets-underway/1

Half hour rates are NOT half of the hourly rate. The discounts start on multi multiple hour encounters. The more time you book, that's when the rate goes down. I have a minimum rate to see you. Please don't make an assumption. If you are not sure of the rates, please ask.

It's the start of iceberg season here in NL and we all know the annual arrival of the Whales to the waters around NL is not far behind.... Ok you ask why even mention that here on this site??? What do Icebergs and Whales have to do with this hobby??? Well I am throwing it out there as another great reason for some of the amazing touring ladies of LYLA to consider putting St. John's on their schedule... just think you get to come see all the spectacular Icebergs and the Majestic Whales and well us guys from here get to meet amazing ladies. Sounds like a win-win to me :) Hey... just a thought. http://www.icebergfinder.com/

Well clearly the only person who seems to have an issue regarding my post is you so if you feel I have in any way abused this thread then hit the abuse or take to mod And honestly speaking you have in no way come at me in a positive way But thanks for your advice ill defiantly take it into consideration! Have a wonderful day Cristy

I agree! I have a throw away phone for work to keep costs down so it doesn't even have an image plan but I've got a good phone at least. I tell them this to those guys who ask for this sort of thing. What I do to keep these people at bay is like you said with the positive energy. When there is something I don't want, I will rephrase my comment about this in my ad. I should probably update my website too. lol. Instead of saying "I will not give out pictures on request", I will say "The pictures on my ad and/or website are the only ones I have. I take it you know from your previous comments that you know what you put out is what you attract when you mentioned positive vibes, etc. When a person says they don't want something, that's all the universe hears and it will give you that exact match. So I think it and rephrase in a way that it comes back to me favorably. The same with negotiating. Instead of saying "Rates are non- negotiable", I say "Rates are Firm". By doing this, it has cut down on the WOTS including the ones who ask for pictures. lol. "Rates are Firm" or "Pictures are only available on website/ads" is a more positive one that will attract the clients who respect this. I study law of attraction way too much often listening for a few hours everyday lol but it has helped me significantly in terms of maintaining a positive attitude and as a result has changed every aspect of my life. I still have my moments but they are less now and I'm able to deal with it a lot faster.

Danielle was seeking advice on how to deal with a matter. There is a community here that can offer support and advice She did not mention names or specifics, she did not start a fight, all she did was seek advice. And the advice, generally speaking was not to bring the dispute to the board but offered some ideas on how to deal with the matter Just my opinion, but nothing wrong that I can see with Danielle's thread that I can see RG
  11. 4 points
If you take the time to read Danielle's post, you will clearly see that she is looking for advice on how to handle the situation best. If you personally believe the thread doesn't belong on the board (which it does- it's not the first time someone looks for advice on different situations), you should use the report option and let the Mod deal with it.

I absolutely agree and that is exactly what I have been doing and staying positive Misery does like company and I have totally reached that point in my life where I want nothing to do with it Just sad that we have to go through so much when all we want to do is provide some happiness into someone's life

Okay! So yeah lol When I have pictures posted in my ads but yet i get asked for pics because he cannot make them out on his phone(ummm no) Same guy by the way...gotta love pic collectors Positive energy people xo

Contrary to what others have suggested about my previous post I agree there is absolutely nothing wrong with any duration of meeting as long as it meets the needs of both the client and the Lady. You hit the nail on the head Daniel its all about being respectful which is just as true for longer appointments. Just my Opinion

I'm watching a documentary about sex work and it is bringing up a lot of feelings. It is looking at some of the most vulnerable women in the industry and different perspectives... And all I can think about is wanting to have millions of dollars so I can create non-profit organizations to help with housing problems, detox if they want detox, and even a booking agency that workers can use to screen clients on their behalf, to book drivers, to rent apartments... There is so much people could do, so much we could do, if our goverment didn't suck so much and if people actually cared about the safety of sex workers.

Texts that go like this...."hi I read your ad on such and such, may I see a pic and can you tell me the rate?" If you actually saw my ad, there are numerous pics and as short as the verbiage is it does include the rates! Oh, and for the record, some half hour appointments can be supremely hot just as some multi hour appointments can be extremely tedious!

I just recently sort of went through this myself. But I was not targeted on line. Instead, heard some far fetched claims and lies that came from someone. Thing is this person has also 2 others on their list, spreading lies about each one to who ever wants to believe them. In my case, I just cut off all communications. Like Nicolette says, starve them. And if people want to listen to the lies and believe them, well sucks for them because they will miss out on knowing the truth and probably become a victim as well. Cream rises to the top as they say. And they will eventually be proved wrong in their slander, if indeed you are not these things they say. Stay steadfast in your truths, and don't let others weaken your spirit. Don't read what they post, don't fight back just focus on your own day to day life. They will run themselves into the ground eventually.

It's no secret.. I have never been much of a Therrien fan. Few may agree with me, but I think he was out-coached in the Habs/Sens series (two OT wins against Sens and a bunch of one-goal wins will mask coaching deficiencies). While I remember his fiery antics in the 2013 series with the Sens, I am not sure what to make of his Therrien 2.0 act since. Habs need to find the back of the net... an issue they have had all season. I think it's fair to say that the Habs' four playoff wins so far have been 100% Carey Price. When the team scores only 14 goals in 8 playoff games (four of those goals in Game 1 against Sens), it isn't going far, even with a world-class goalie in Price. Only after two payoff games, Bolts goalie Ben Bishop is already messing with the Habs' minds (ok, he's been messing with them all season). In comes 'tough guy' Prust and the war of words through the media ensues. It might be a short series if Therrien can't find a path his players can buy into. Entertainment-value wise, I think the Sens/Habs series was more entertaining (even though my Sens lost). CM

Danielle, Silence is golden in this case. People who live for drama need their fix. It's like a drug to them. What kills them is when you dont respond. ALWAYS starve the trolls!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two games of the Habs/Bolts series. The double-OT was exciting and tonight's 6-2 Lightning win. Yes, Montreal finished the regular season with 110 points and 50 wins. But it has become crystal clear that it was almost all Carey Price. Habs power play and even-strength goals have been totally absent in their eight playoff games so far. And Prust... hmmm. He's not exactly a Lady Byng Trophy candidate. That said, I wasn't impressed with him going after Bishop in the regular season nor was I impressed with his play this evening. I wouldn't be surprised if the NHL's Department of Safety had a look at his antics ce soir. Things are looking rosy for Tampa to advance... but... stranger things have happened in the playoffs before.. so this series is not over... yet. :-) CM

I will choose my thoughts and words very carefully as I too can relate to this situation. Whether it is done online and even via email or PM's, we either always see/read it or get told about what slanderous things are being written or said. It is very hard not to respond online or contact that person. We are human and the first thing when someone attacks us is to defend ourselves. What I have learned is you can't have a civil conversation with someone of that mentality and it's like communicating with a rock. It does make you question their motives and want to ask why but truthfully in my experience it's useless to even bother. You have a wonderful community of friends, fellow companions who also understand and have dealt with being the target of simply put a mean spirited person. You know who you can confide in and that you have a safe place to vent, there is no denying that these things are hurtful and upsetting. Don't ever let someone try to break your spirit and that is what I feel the motive in my situation among other distasteful things was and currently is based on. You are an amazing, beautiful, kind person and keep your head held high, do not give anyone that type of power over you and shake it off. Easier said, I know but this is beneath you. The best thing you can do is ignore and contact the sites where this slander and harassment is being posted to have it removed. This is cyber bullying and a crime. All my love!! xoxo

I just had the pleasure of seeing Paige. I've been waiting to get a chance to see this lovely girl. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! Everything everybody has written about her is true. She had a killer smile, and body that words can't describe. She is a very positive person with a great personality. Hands down she is the best girl I have ever seen during my hobby years. Treat her well folks, she is a rare gem and I plan to see her again and again.

Thank you for this post. I'm sure most if not all of us have someone who has mental health problems or even suffer from it themselves. Mental Health Awareness is a lot more important that many imagine, I recently opened a group to discuss topics about it or simply find support. If anyone wants to join it send me a request. If someone here needs the support but doesn't want to post in the group feel free to PM me and I'll post on your behalf.

When a gentlemen calls we have a conversation book a time and about 20 minutes later I receive a call that he has to cancel something has come up....I'm pretty good with my intuition and i just smell b.s ....I honestly feel at times some men shop around for rates book with a lady and still shop around for cheaper then cancels the confirmed appointment Trust me I realize that life happens and I do respect that but at times I honestly feel other wise and its very frustrating especially when you get ready for the appointment or have to postpone or put off another possible booking Please shop around check rates and services offered then call to book!

I know in the summer I definitely need to wear less makeup, it gets so hot in the city it would all come off anyways! I love BB creams for the summer, they're perfect, and I like to try a lot more funky colours on my eyes or lips too :) My freckles always come out in the summer too, so I'd hate to cover them up, they're too cute! Indeed, there is nothing wrong with a 'friendly' hello. I reckon most of us (providers and hobbyists) know where 'the line in the sand is'. Many PM's I get are to say "hello" or to provide a private comment to my response to a thread. All good... no spams.. no insensitive comments.. just an electronic conversation.. CM

Exchanged a few PM messages with the sexy Maraena Blackwell from Nova Scotia... while I have never met the lady I have to say she was an absolute delight to converse with... almost a Religious Experience (ok the religious experience thing is an inside joke) ... We are very lucky to have a great site like this to connect with such wonderful ladies so easily.

It is a nice thing, saying Hello, but as some of us are taught reaching out isn't proper protocol as it could be misconstrued as trying to garner business. Sometimes learned behavior is hard to break and not all Hobbyists appreciate the reaching out. So for me I only reply to hello's I don't initiate them even though I do believe we all should do as we see fit.

Please... if you are going to chastise someone for being condescending then please don't be the same way. He did add in his comment that "he didn't know what he was talking about.".. So why would it then be conceived that he was bragging about his longer sessions and condescending towards those who take shorter ones? I didn't read it that way at all and I'm one who offers both! May I also add, that you've never lectured another member, who constantly lets everyone know how long his sessions are and with whom and who tends to offer his opinion to every topic warranted or not. Can't we be fair and accepting towards all members here? If this is a community and we are all here to help and support one another then if someone feels a community member has erred then shouldn't they be approached in a friendlier fashion and not bashed? Especially and when they are simply adding their opinion. I believe in fairness and in a community such as this there shouldn't be a hierarchy but somehow here there often feels like there is one.

Excellent question as us ladies come into this for different reasons and leave for our own reasons too!!! For me, I originally got into it for the thrill factor, the fantasy factor and the plain and simple fact that I absolutely love sex. However, that has changed slightly for me... But for the better!!! I still love the thrill, the fantasy, and oh yes the sex!!! But I have also discovered a way to use my ability to connect with people in a very real and passionate way. I absolutely thrive on these connections, and find these interactions as emotionally and mentally good for me as I'm told it is for my clients. I have met some amazing women who I may not have had the chance to otherwise -- and continue to meet wonderful people. And I have also discovered my ability to become financially independent and stable -- something that hasn't always come easy to me :) So really, my answer is that I'm not sure. But I won't be going anywhere in the foreseeable future. :)

Here's my first answer and will answer some more later...btw gret thread Summer:) First for me is the initial contact...nice detailed email or text message or even a phone call...if the first impression is good...usually the encounter is too :) I enjoy longer encounters as you get to know the client better while having a great conversation first...what a great forplay!!! A glass of wine...chit chat a bit...makes the encounter so much better :) BJ

To either know if this was a long term adventure or temporary!!!! I started to work years ago, the whole industry has done a complete 180 since then. I began in Mid 90's as a dancer..then much much more! lol.. But I always would stop in a few months get another job etc.... BUT this was a waste, as I would have put better use to the money I earned! I could have made a very comfy retirement had I understood more about how to use my money:( WAY TOO MUCH shopping LMAO! NOT TOO LATE, I began paying into the system now for 3 years, gained credit and I will keep on building and preparing! Wish I would have known then what I know now!

Can I post a question? Being newish myself I would love to know -- what advice would you give a lady just starting out? What's one thing you wish you had known.
  49. 1 point
You mean your "real" life SHE is the aggressor? Like many things, this can flip flop. I have some clients who are extremely powerful in their own jobs, so when seeing me they do tend to want a women who is aggressive and in control. However, there are men who want to remain in a comfort zone, be that submissive or aggressive. Yes I feel this is very normal. This is why chatting with a lady before beginning a professional arrangement is important, so that when you visit we understand what personality you have and what we can offer you:)
  50. 1 point
It is a very fine line and one that must always be re-defined and re-established. For myself personally, I prefer to get to know my clients on a deeper level. I encourage conversation and sharing prior to appointments and continued communication after the fact. For me, this deeper connection improves the time we spend together for me as much as for them. As humans, we have emotions. And I have learned over the years that human connection and emotions are something that I require. I have also learned not to let emotions control me. I feel what I feel, but I always keep things in perspective. This is just what works for me :)
