I think she has a point. Running a legitimate business within the parameters outline by local government is more expensive and if she requires a license then why shouldn't the Indies? I take great issue to the fact anyone can take a cell phone pic, throw up an on line ad and call themselves a Service Provider/Escort/Prostitute. Most have no customer service skills, business administration acumen or established ethical protocol in place and that reflects badly on the women who take the time, effort and $ to make this a genuine career choice. These women often don't understand the health and safety aspects of the trade, they certainly don't have the necessary skills or self esteem to handle the battering ram they get hit with full force when it comes to men who intentionally hunt the young and inexperienced. They bring to the table an instability that this industry really can't afford while putting themselves in situations they have no clue how to handle. If they had to walk into city hall with ID and a criminal background check to get a business license it would be a service to us all. I, for one, miss the days of well run agencies where I didn't have to deal with the day to day administration which is more time consuming than most realize. My agencies earned every penny of the 50/50 split they took. I made more money working for agencies than I do being Indie for the amount of time and effort I invest. ... well it is, if you offer your CERB ID as verification to get around identifying your more personal details and there is little or no posting history! A recent thread by VictoriaJolie about posting history being one tool providers use to get to know a client inspired this post, and since this one is more general in nature, I've decided to post it here. As a client, we usually know much more about the lady we are planning to see, until we make an actual booking and provide the information she requires in consideration of our request to see her. I am in amazement of the effort and diligence most, and especially the well-respected, SPs/MAs go through in screening and verification. With a modicum of information and references, they must decide if they will grant your request for a meeting, based on a myriad of factors and a 'gut feel' about you, the person, never having met prior, and not knowing too much else besides these few bits that they ask for in their ads or on their websites. I believe that the majority of clients on the board are sophisticated and wise to the ways of treating the ladies with respect, having read widely among the various forums, but there are some bad apples out there. How is a provider to know from whom she is getting an inquiry or booking? You will fare much better if you give her signs and assurances of your good intentions early on and by playing by her rules. Don't forget, she is sharing her most intimate self with an almost complete stranger and is entrusting you to do your part in that bargain. We both want the same things, but providers, beyond needing to feel safe, of course want that encounter to be in an environment where they themselves are comfortable to give you the best time of all - and so you should care, too. Contacting a lady for a booking and showing with every action and word (rudeness, brashness, ignorance, laziness, etc.) that you haven't bothered to check her website or ad post is the first red flag to the lady that there may be things she doesn't know that would worry her if she did, and this puts her on guard with you right from the start - generally not the best way to initiate a dialogue. Taking care to consider all the points of etiquette and following her preferred method of setting up an appointment will make the lady's life much easier and will assure her that you take her concerns for safety and peace of mind to heart. It will be like magically becoming a lottery winner ;-), meaning that she will appreciate when you meet that you had already established yourself from the start as a respectful and diligent client worthy of her time. I know it is not everyone's wish or goal to become an active and prolific poster, but it does help the ladies get a glimpse of the person behind a handle. Having no posts doesn't. Just think of the ways in which you select the lady of your choice - maybe by her beautifully written ad, her many glowing recommendations by other clients, her gorgeous photo album, or the well-crafted website that she spent so much time building. There are other ways to distinguish yourself and get a good or even high standing besides that, of course. Which route you choose to take is yours to decide ... but giving her the comfort level about you - in one way or another, making her feel like you respect her wishes and her need to feel safe and at ease, will put you miles ahead right from the start. And that is likely to reap significant good will on her part and generally, IMHO, yield to better client-provider relations! Pun absolutely intended! ;) A #nobrainer? I think so! :D FR P.S. Yeah, I get that. However, there running out of condoms is no big deal, the providing of services without a condom is common place, several STDs are known to not be even slowed down by the use of condoms and they do fail. Hmm, looks like no activity in this thread since my last posting. Well, whatever, I'll keep it active. Went there this afternoon. Saw a lot of really quite hot ones today. Carina was there again, but I didn't get a chance to see her. Instead saw a couple of others. One was calling herself "Lady Class": hilarious name, I'll grant you that -- LOL. Right on the money, Blaze!! Winnipeg agencies are stuck in the 1970s, when it was common everywhere to bait 'n' switch, upsell and generally rip clients off. To them, one hour is only as long as it takes the client to cum once. Today's Winnipeg pooners are aware that all the local agencies are to be avoided. The local agencies survive only by ripping off visiting, late night drunks. I don't know where Cat is from, but she must be from a city like Montreal or Toronto, where there are many reputable agencies that hire quality ladies who provide excellent service at fair prices, with no extra crap. Several other cities, especially Winnipeg. Regina and Saskatoon have no agencies like that. I feel no sympathy whatsoever for that whining agency owner. Besides, the total cost of licensing is about $6K per year. That's about $120 per week, and is far less than one hour's revenue.

If anyone knows of a true professional in NS that is use to doing Erotic photos, please PM me. I have been ripped off and begged to lie for a professional photographer here in NS. I don't barter or trade services and paid a nice chunk of money for the BS photos. I don't even use the Pro pics, that photographer was a waste of my time and not worth the money. Bad choice on my part but his website and the pics on it were beautiful. He was more in awww than professional. My friend the lovely Mister C takes amazing photos and I completely trust the person that has been taking my pics for the last 3-4yrs. The money is not an issue and as long as the pro produces what I would like and does absolutely nothing to my pics I'm good. No airbrushing or enhancing anything at all. I can re-size and blur my own face and that is all I ever and will do to my pictures. Not being negative, just sharing my unfortunate experience because if I could find a trust worthy professional and not like the many emails and calls I get asking to take my pictures, I would try again. Excitement prior, having fun with the shoot and finally seeing the proofs and final pics and feeling beautiful and sexy and proud and wanting to share with us lucky fellas :)

Aubrey, I am going to make a comment/suggestion that I hope is not take the wrong way. I hope I am not sticking my nose where it doesn't belong but I am going to suggest it anyway. I am wondering if you really need professional photographs? The reason I say this is...well...there are many reasons really. You already have a wide variety of self taken photos in your albums and a even a few face pics. (which is a gutsy move) so the number of pics. is not an issue. Considering you are (in your words) relatively new to the business the self taken photo via webcam or cellphone is more then adequate. All I am trying to say is don't sell yourself short and think you need to "keep up with the Joneses." Undoubtedly other SP's will have a website and professional pictures, etc. but keep in mind their situation, location, etc. If you are to invest in a professional photographer say in Halifax there are added expenses involved with just getting there. Keep in mind that there are plenty of SP's on this site that have stood in front of a white bed sheet as a backdrop and have wonderful, sexy pics. posted on their profiles and/or websites! Have or would you consider having a friend take some pics. of you in street clothes while out and about in town? Remember you live in Ch'town and it is currently July...there are literally hundreds of places around the town/province where you could have very well done amateur photos taken. It is also worth mentioning that you will never have enough pictures, amateur or professional, to satisfy everyone's wants. There will always be people who want daily updated photo albums and new pics. by the truck load just to stare at. If you are seeking a professional photographer in an attempt to satisfy your client base I would respectfully suggest you reconsider as NO RESPECTFUL CLIENT will ever say that she (the SP) needs new or professional pics. in order to satisfy his requirements. This post is meant as an honest and polite response and in no way do I mean to meddle in your business. All this said if you still wish to secure a professional photographer contact Emily as she has so generously offered...she will treat you honestly and fairly!

I have a few different opinions on facials. I do provide them as long as it is agreed on beforehand and it's not done in a disrespectful/degrading manner. But as long as everyone is aware of the game plan I think it can be very hot and enjoyable by both.. as long as it doesn't get in my eye lol that stings!

Connecting with a passerby for a brief moment, just a glance, a touch of spirit. In that second to see and feel smiles erupt on our faces. Like children on a playground who can no longer hold their enthusiasm in. There is something timeless about this and very human. Sorry that you had this bad experience, not once, but twice, @curiousm7. It is bad enough to have an SP's phone ringing at any time, let alone multiple times during a date, at whatever volume. If she then figures that it is more important for her to take the call than be in the moment with her current (or rather, by now probably former) admirer/client, that is the height of rudeness and unprofessional behaviour. Having the next client on the phone and practically at the door waiting to get in!... well, I'm speechless now! I do hope that this is indeed a very rare situation amongst the ladies of this board, and those that have maybe not thought about this, do so now. Hello one and all!: As a client with a, physical disability [Cerebral Palsy] of SP over the years and a new member here on CERB safety and security of all involved has always been of paramount importance. From my perspective as a client it is essential that everything is researched and disclosed before the first date. There is a huge trust component here, the worker has to do a lot more than on an average of date. So the security and reference issues are double-sided, and equally important. However, as mentioned earlier in the thread we do not have access to the same security checks as a mainstream business or consumer would. But if new clients and workers had a probationary period during which time a dialogue and peer review would take place in an online forum. This would help alleviate, fear and misconceptions. There need not be any personally identifiable information released. The emphasis would be on articulating needs and expectations. If this learning curve deliberately took a while it would go a long way toward weeding out the "bad apples". The mainstream media has for years submerge this industry in an ocean of stereotypes. So it is essential that clients and workers alike insist on some form of due diligence. What needs to be focused on now is creating a framework on how to do this collectively as workers and clients. Patrons on sex workers who can should also speak publicly on some level. This will go a long way toward humanizing and legitimizing not only this industry but an entire range of related health-care issues. I always leave my phone in another room and lower the volume so it can't be heard. Any lady who answers her phone while is session is not being very professional. With so many new ladies getting into the business (it seems every day here in Ottawa), it's not surprising this (amongst other things) is becoming a commonplace complaint from guys. Advertising, whether online or in print, is perfectly legal. There have been judicial rulings in the 1980s that said that advertising is private communication because readers are never forced to read ads. The only way to work legally is to go to the client's location for the call. That said, this is also one of the least safe ways to work, too. If you decide to do outcalls only, please, please, please make sure you have a driver and that the driver knows where you're going and what time you'll be ready to leave. Call the driver when you enter the house or hotel room and call again at an agreed-upon time. For example, if your meeting with the client will last an hour, make sure you call the driver when the hour is over, no matter what. If the driver doesn't hear from you, you should have a plan about what they are to do. If you don't have a driver now, contact other ladies where you are and get some recommendations. Don't hire someone who's just decided that this is a cool and sexy way to make a bit of money now that there's even less risk of prosecution than there was before recent the Ontario Court of Appeal decision. You want someone who is experienced and has been proven reliable. I never go to clients' homes except in very rare cases where I have known the client for quite some time. Even then, I once ran into a problem that I was able to manage easily enough but which would not have happened at my place. The difficulty with hotel rooms and clients' homes is that you have no idea who is on the other side of the door when it opens to admit you. If you go to a hotel, make sure you check out the room thoroughly, looking in the bathroom, including the shower, and the closets. If there's a door that adjoins another room, make sure that it's locked on your side so that no one can enter from the room next door. In a client's home, the problem is that you don't necessarily know where all the exits are. It's harder to know who is in the place and you have no control over whether someone else may arrive while you're there. I can appreciate your reluctance to work from your own apartment but, frankly, this is safer than going to someone else's location. It's not legal, but unless you see a high volume of clients, entertain late at night or cause unusual noise, you're not likely to have a problem. It's critically important that the companion be in control of the encounter at all times, every time she meets with anyone, wherever the meeting takes place. That's much easier when you're in your own place and much more difficult when you're in the client's home. Despite these warnings, it's true that many women work successfully doing outcalls. It might be a good idea to connect with some others and find out about their safety strategies. Over time we all think of things that never occurred to us when we started out. Always remember: nothing, absolutely nothing, ever, including any amount of money, is more important that your personal safety, so don't compromise!
