I had the opportunity last night to have an in-depth discussion about C-36 with an Ottawa policeman. All this was off the record, he was speaking only for himself and his situation may change but none the less it was interesting. Based on what he's been told, he does not see any major changes on the horizon. They will continue the occasional street level John Sweep. The guys will get charged. The SPs most likely won't. As for SPs working from their home, condo, apartments or agencies, they have no interest in pursuing them. The probable results are not worth the investment in time and resources. Besides, he said, those people are paying their taxes just like any other person so barring any complaints, why would they bother them? He said this was the same for agencies, independents and "rub & tugs". He explained that they, the police, are generally in a reactive mode. There is only so much money, manpower, and resource available so they will react to community issues (complaints). The closest thing to proactive effort he mentioned was a Sergeant who was reaching out to women working from ....... to make sure the SPs were aware of the resources available to them in case they had problems. Apparently this Sergeant got into difficulty when he got a little too friendly with the SPs but that's a different story. He's not aware of any new money being allocated to address this "issue". Bottom line: Don't go looking for sex on street corners. Be discrete. Life will go on.

Alexis, Sophia was directing that at my post. I certainly don't want guys to think they can call up a provider and ask her what they will get for their money. I think the biggest task is going to be re-training clients, as Angela mentioned. Especially here in BC where this industry has always been pretty accepted and things are fairly open and easy-going here. However, not all municipalities take as tolerant and benevolent a view on our industry and as a rule, I think it's a good idea to stick to basic information and key phrases like "open-minded" (can we still use that? Surely, I would think we can). Clients will just have to learn to read between the lines. And in the end, I find clients that don't want a menu are almost always better clients than the ones who are eager to reduce your companionship to how good your .... skills are or other such things. It's been said by many ladies, and it bears mentioning again: this is chance for us girls to bring back some of the tact and elegance of our companionship. Yes, many clients will not catch on as they are either unaware of the new law and/or they're just stubborn. Ultimately, you have to decide for yourself what you consider to be okay in terms of how you interact with clients before meeting them. If you're comfortable going into detail over the phone, just be aware of the risks involved. There are many advocacy groups in many cities around Canada, and I see no reason why you shouldn't contact them and/or speak to the liason officer at your municipality's police department about the reality of this law. Afterall, while a law may be on the books, the reality of enforcing it may not be so severe. It's good to be informed so you can make a choice that you are comfortable with and that works for you.

Ok - so when a guy calls a new play who is offering a unbelievable special, and he asks for "details of what she will do," and then finds out its a sting. Is his defense going to be "I was told it's best to ask by phone." I'm sorry, but I feel we are giving a false illusion that text and email is not ok, but voice calling is, and is doing them a disservice to them. They should be able to understand by the ad itself. My point is that clients should not be asking for details except to clarify rates and locations.

I agree. I think what the poster meant is to call for further details. Nothing was said about soliciting ......... It is best to call for further details as code words can be better used in conversation.

I read the post you are referring to and she never said she would tell them what she "enjoys" during her encounter. Which is why it's always best to clarify what someone means rather than assuming. As for answering questions by voice call, I have no problem doing that to a certain extent. Besides, it is not illegal for us to discuss these things on the phone. Yes, guys shouldn't be doing this because it's technically soliciting sex for money. But that doesn't mean they still aren't going to and we need to come up with well prepared answers. It's going to take some time to "train" them on the new etiquette. I have been working in-call for years and was technically breaking the law, but no-one seemed to worry about that. If an acronym is deemed unsuitable, I am assuming the "long form" term which is undoubtedly more obvious must also be banned. Again, this is just my assumption. If I can't say 3 little letters (which were considered "secret code" for SEXUAL ACTS) I highly doubt mod would let me spell it out in plain English. Afterall, the acronym could have been short form for "anything" whereas the full on terms are rather straightforward and quite explicit. If anything, the long form would/should be banned before any acronyms.

My comment was more for their knowledge than yours :) Gotta dumb things down as much as possible for the users who can't be bothered to read a bit and to educate themselves on things that are obviously pertinent to them and their lifestyle choices. As an experienced hobbyist for the past eight years I can honestly say that the price paid for " " time and companionship " typically can have nothing to do with how much you enjoyed the encounter. In some cases I paid a very high donation and had a less than average time and other times paid a much lower donation and had an incredible very memorable time. One thing I can say is in many cases there can be no rhyme or reason to this hobby in this regard. Having said that I will continue to enjoy the good times and shrug off the less than good times. Chemistry, fatigue , hygeine, the surroundings are all just as important as what donation is paid.

Relax, the new bill is just being released, and I don't think LE and the prosecutors know yet how to proceed. I uses KeepSMS on my Android device (Samsung). All the txts are kept in under pass code. The only drawback is that when I received a text from one of the numbers inside KeepSMS I don't get the normal indicator that there is a text. An icon appears at the top of the screen. OK, I guess under certain circumstances that's a benefit. But if I am having a text convo I need to keep opening that icon. The replies don't show up when I'm in the app. Small price to pay and really doesn't take much longer than doing a regular text exchange. If you want the regular notifications during a convo, you can move the convo out of KeepSMS for the duration of the convo and move it back when you are done. Just remember to move it! And if you've done that, be sure to clear your phone log as the sending of the clear texts registers there. There is no register if you keep the convo within KeepSMS. I periodically go through and delete all the convos within KeepSMS just incase I'm ever asked what's in there.

Some of my favourites are Shawarma Time, East Ocean (Chinese), Kimbaek (Korean), Punjab Sweet House (vegetarian Indian buffet), Burrito Del Rio, Thida's (Thai), Magic Thailand, Coconut Garden (Vietnamese), Pho No. 1 (Vietnamese), Nhu Quynh (Vietnamese), Double Greeting Snack House (Chinese), Oscar's Deli, Tropiki's (Caribbean).

So I have to say, my votes go to Claire heavens and Victoria secret from AP/PS, my most recent visit was to Victoria and she blew me away... Truely someone everyone should see at least once
