2 pointsI have never been to Kendra's but there is a front page story in the Telegram today regarding the location. Apparently it was a discussion at City Council in St. John's this week councillor Jonathan Galgay indicating that he plans to push for a change in city bylaws restricting MP from being located in residential areas as a result of complaints he has received from residents in the area around Kendra's. If your familiar with Kendra's you will know that it is located in the side entrance of an older home which is the first house on a street off Duckworth St one of two major streets in downtown St John's... across the street from the Quality Inn and very close to the Sheraton. Mr. Galgay is a new councillor who I fear uses any platform he can to get his name in the news. Recently he complained about about the condition of provincially owned subsidized housing unit supposedly on behalf of the tenant for it to be quickly found out that the tenant had nothing but good things to say about the landlord and that the property had already been scheduled for a major exterior refit... the tenant had already been advised. Bottom line Galgay is a blowhard who looks for any excuse to get in the news.... The operations at Kendra's are legal and approved by council... he acknowledges that but says that maybe public shaming might discourage people from going there.... shame on you Mr Galway... i suspect your politic aspirations must be to run for the federal conservatives. http://www.thetelegram.com/News/Local/2015-02-25/article-4055909/Kendra%26rsquo%3Bs-Red-House-says-it%26rsquo%3Bs-not-disrupting-neighbourhood/1 http://www.vocm.com/newsarticle.asp?id=52929 Just my Opinion Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk

2 pointsBeing sensitive to reply's is something I'm sure we've all experienced . But no one implied you were wrong, nor that your opinion wasn't warranted, or wanted. Not sure why you'd assume that. Certainly I and Meaghan and many others didn't agree with your thoughts but that doesn't mean you are right or wrong and as a matter of fact it was YOU in your last post-see my quoted reply, that mentions you maybe wrong but you doubt it. So you yourself admittedly feel others opinions are wrong and yours the right one. Either way differing opinions are to be expected and should be appreciated in a forum comprised of different people, men, women and differing ages, etc. That's what makes it interesting. No one speaking differently, or of opposing thoughts should ever be denied the ability, especially when it's been done politely, as it's been done in this thread. Certainly no one was bullying you.

2 pointsI appreciate the responses. I've just come to the point where I've felt that I'm giving something away exposing any nudity so I've decided to remain lingerie clad from here on in. We all have our comfort levels and they are to be respected. I've always felt my pics were an accurate representation of me, as many have attested, no photoshopping. Grainy, yes, but I'm grainy looking in person, lol. Seriously though I hope the lack of nudity won't sway some as I, like any woman, are more than a big pair of boobies:)

2 pointsDuring the 80s and early 90s I recall that many Irish youths were joining the IRA, and money flowed to that terrorist organization from Irish communities scattered throughout the West. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of "radicalized" Irish Canadians and Americans went over to Ireland to join the cause. I don't remember anyone recommending special "peaceful true Catholicism" classes for Irish youths at the time. It's needless xenophobia that explains the difference. Don't worry; if you're not interested, your participation is not required.
-
2 pointsAs Cristy pointed out, extremism occurs in every major religion and there is a good chunk of Islamaphobia accompanying most stories of "terrorism" (including the OP's post). And yet, it is rarely pointed out that Timothy McVeigh was raised Roman Catholic or that he identified as agnostic because those facts are seen as irrelevant to why he bombed the Oklahoma federal building. If we treated McVeigh the same way we treat those terrorists assumed connected to Islam, we'd be railing on about the terrors of Catholic teachings. DID YOU KNOW THEY EAT THE BODY OF CHRIST?! I honestly think we have bigger issues to worry about than the potential for Canadian y*outh to be seduced by big bad Islam.
-
1 pointRadicalism should worry us all, no matter what religion or source it stems from. I think this is certainly an important discussion and one that should be of interest to this forum, especially and since the highest populous of Muslims are in Ontario and is growing fast as is the religion of Islam. I can't pretend to understand it completely, or any religion for that matter. As I'm a believer that all sentient beings are equal and should be treated so. What confuses me most is how we( North Americans) send men and women to fight against particular beliefs in other countries and then we allow citizens from those countries into ours in which they then are allowed to practice the same beliefs in the same way. Perhaps that's the democratic way, imo though, this is what causes radicals. As one religion, one group, will always feel their ways are the right ways and fight to lead. In these groups will always be the lonely, angry, directionless and violence driven, it is to them, regardless of age, that radicals prey. I don't know the answers to eradicating or controlling them, but I don't think the ones within the particular religion are best suited to. I think a perfect example of this would be our own government. I deem evangelical Christians to be radicals and look at what they've done to our laws and how they distort democracy. Perhaps the answers aren't within a particular religion, but in morale building. Perhaps we need to better understand humanity, it's needs and become better at promoting love, acceptance, willingness to share, etc. But that is expecting a lot.
-
1 pointInteresting that you feel this way as many others feel the opposite. I also understand that this is your opinion, though I'd like to politely disagree as there are many who show their faces for a myriad of reasons and certainly CAN be trusted with anyone's privacy and discretion. After all face pics or not respecting discretion is a priority for all respectful companions.
-
1 pointIn my experience that's not always the case... i have seen a number of extremely reputable ladies who have at one time or another included face pictures in their websites or advertising and they were perhaps the most adamant about their discretion. 1 pointVery interesting talk people thank you. I am ignorant of the whole issue and not very religions (probably shouldn't comment). Curious, are these the religions that cover up their women in sheets (Muslims and Islam)? Why? Seriously, I could spend all day and night and not think of a more back asswards way of living life. How angry would Canada be if we woke up and all of our beautiful women were dressed like mummy's? God, I would be irritable to say the least. Oh well suppose it has been that way a while. I just feel somehow if all the Islamic and Muslim women of the world were treated as equals to the men and perhaps the world could send aid in the form of Victoria's Secret, Ester Lauder, Redkin and Gillette, then their men, like us will have something more pleasurable to focus on! Sorry for posting an ignorant, simplistic view... But females control my actions and drive me. Sure it's not a silver bullet but a big dose of women's rights could go a long way to cutting down on the anger that seems to manifest in certain religions and parts of the world. Then when we produce our next home grown lunatic they will have less causes to run to or join.....

1 pointI like nudes and topless pictures as long as they are tastefully done. It is also nice to see what the lady's personal style is in various outfits for different social occasions or even just sexy-play time. But that may just be me.

1 pointI enjoy looking at your pictures Cristy and all of the other ladies pictures also. What I appreciate on all the pictures are the position of the lady, the special features that she wants to show to attract the gentleman. I will comment if I like your eyes, mouth, legs, bum, chest(big or small or in between), feet(including the shoes), hair(color or length), skin, etc... I have no problem with nudes or non nudes but breasts are so nice to look at and they make me happy when I see them, so please keep posting your breasts ladies, we do appreciate looking at them. My 2 cents.

1 pointJust apple pie and whiskey, for me. Pretty sure it covers all of the food groups, so I try to have it once a month or so.

1 pointI definitely don't need to see nudes to decide if I am going to see that person, pictures with Lingerie on intrigues me especially if it's in the colour red.

1 pointCristy your pics were awesome...sigh. Nudes are generally a better guide than fancy costumed studio shots. But they are also subject to photoshopping and other enhancements. I wish there were some kind of standard poses and costumes to make pictures of different people more directly comparable.

1 pointI'm with Phaedrus on this one. And Cristy, if you have indeed removed your topless pics, then I will surely miss them. ;)

1 pointWhat! I missed the birthday party! My very best belated wishes to you, Lee. Now, where's my piece of cake? Best, toine
-
1 pointYou may be right and you make a good point, especially your last one, lol, very eloquent, thank you. But perhaps the concern for some is that all the terrorism committed by Muslims has been made in the name of Allah. So, many see it as a religious rebellion and fight, not political. Funny that you mention Ireland, as it has the fastest growing Muslim population next to Canada so there may be further conflict in Irelands future. Perhaps part of the fear mongering towards Muslins and Islam is because Islam is the fastest growing religion, many believe it will surpass Christianity, and perhaps take it over. That scares many, hence, fear mongering, then you get radicalization, hence, radicals.

1 pointThere will always be people (often guys, often in their late teens or early twenties) who are, for whatever reason, filled with rage and out for revenge. This seems to be an unfortunate but inescapable part of human nature. Such people will lash out at society, somehow, and will do so in the name of whatever cause happens to be convenient at the time. Right now, radical Islam seems to be popular with such people. But it hasn't been in the past, and something else will probably replace it in the future. I've heard - and find it very plausible - that some of the would-be jihadis arriving in Syria have proven to be thoroughly ignorant about the religion they claim to follow. For these folks, it's not the religion that matters; it's the fight, and when it comes down to it, any cause will do.
-
1 pointI don't think things are fundamentally any worse than before the laws changed, as so much depends on the attitudes of local LE and what they choose to go after (or not, as is more often the case). The only exception to this is that the new laws make it much easier for LE to set up stings to entrap clients, and so any newcomer will have to deal with more inherent caution from potential clients than may have been the case a few months ago. But there are ways around that (e.g. having an established person to vouch for you) and once you have a few recommendations then it'll probably cease to be an issue. Also, I've heard from some ladies that a remarkable number of people, both clients and providers, are ignorant of the old laws, the new laws, and the fact that the law changed. That's hearsay, but it may well be true...

1 pointHi Midnight :) I find oil of oregano very beneficial for a variety of things in general. At the very least I can guarantee it will wake you up in the morning, because the taste is something you'll have to get used to. The debate as to whether it is a general purpose immune booster is ongoing. I believe greatly in the power of the subconscious mind and that what we believe on a fundamental level is really what is driving the car. In other words if you feel something is true deep down then you will tend to manifest the result, both positively or negatively. It may not matter so much what you think should happen, rather it is what you feel will happen on a gut level is the result. So for me oil of oregano knocks the stuffing out of colds. Whether it is just a placebo affect, and thereby, giving my conscious and subconscious mind "permission" to marshal the resources to kick the viruse's butt, I really don't care. Time and further research will tell. Here are two links about oil of oregano: [A wee bit, Pro and Con] HUFFINGTON POST: Oil Of Oregano Benefits: 11 Things To Know About Oregano Oil WebMD: Oil Of Oregano PatrickGC

1 pointHello Friends. Work requires I travel to Fredricton next week. I've been searching through the forums, and there does not appear to be a whole lot happening SP wise in Fredricton. I thought the same about London ON, but then it turned out that there was a whole other site dedicated to the SPs of London Ontario. In Ottawa, the board is relatively active, but with a shout out to local members, one finds that there is A LOT going on in the nation's capital. So, with that in mind, I'm wondering if there is local intel on the Fredricton scene absent from the forums. Feel free to PM me. If any of the ladies are looking on the board, then I'm wondering about a Sunday evening. Thanks in advance

1 pointTo make this issue about faith of whatever brand is to miss the entire problem this is an issue of radicalisms of islamic people around the world but it is not a religious issue. It is a political issue related to power and control... it has been happening for many many year but as long the Islamic radicals were just killing each other and were operating in areas of the world where the west had no strategic issue (ie no oil) we did not give a shit. Now this disenchantment by politically oppressed groups who are using religion as a rallying cry is important because the violence is in our back yard and affecting strategic areas. These political groups are using religion to reach out to people who feel oppressed to tell them that they are not alone and they have used very slick social media approaches that have caught the attention of youth in western countries who feel marginalized and unimportant. Do we really care about these few thousand radicals in western countries... No... our concern is that it is so much harder to fight terror from within then it is to bomb terrorists in other parts of the world. The issues in the countries where this radical approach is playing out Syria, Egypt, Iraq and a number of African countries are political and social issues and relate to the age old reason men fight wars... power and control. On the local front we need to support and encourage muslim leaders to continue to speak up and we need to look at t!he social and economic conditions that are creating fertile breeding grounds for the disenfranchised. This is not about religion Just my Opinion Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk

1 pointI think the world has come to a point in history where the function and purpose of organized faith must be re-examined. (Perhaps for some for the very first time.) No longer can we afford to blindly adopted teachings of any sort with a verbatim application to life. This does not mean the loss of spiritualism, but rather, a refocusing of where the responsibilities lie. We must be, our own teachers for both the individual, the communities we live in and ultimately the world. This is a long-winded way of saying that the buck stops here on earth, with the good old human race and while we are all alive. A friend of mine asserted that: "We need religion in order to give us a moral direction." This statement, not so subtly implies that the human race needs a baby sitter and that we do not know right from wrong. I suggest, this belief was ingrained in early communities in order to control them, but that was a very different world and one that is unimaginable to the modern person. At this point in time we must find our own way and realize that the human race is indeed not in the center of the galaxy. We must grow up emotionally and not do the "right thing" because of some reward after death. Which is an inherently greedy motivation that usually backfires as current history will attest. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, people, groups and governments have come up with a new religion which once again takes responsibility for one's actions away from the individual [and people often do this willingly] it's called "Political Correctness". Different label, but on a social level it is the same animal. Again it takes responsibility away from the person. A placebo to make things comfortable for the moment. But rarely if ever solves anything. It can actually be used to do great harm but because an action is phrased in a nice politically acceptable tone people not only except it they may actually defend the action without thinking on a deeper level. Look at the crazy and insane arguments for Bill C-36. That is the phrasing of political correctness in action. In short: People must reengage their critical thinking and realize that there is no all-encompassing answer to simplify life. What we can do is be responsible for our own actions and the effect we have on others. The hereafter -- can we afford to be concerned about it, when there is so much in here and now which we can change for sure? A very interesting book on the issues raised in this thread and one which I highly recommend it is: "The End of Faith" by by Sam Harris. To be clear this is not just a believe bashing book. Rather, it asks much larger and broader questions about beliefs in general and all of the major religions are challenged as to their core motivations. I listened to the eight disk unabridged audio version. Here are the details for both printed and audio copies. PatrickGC

No bad apples can hide behind private profiles this way. Unfortunately those of you who use this feature to hide from stalkers and such will loose the ability. Because of this we are not making the change instantly instead we are giving everyone a 30 day notice.

1 pointDo two parties have to have something to offer in a negotiation? It appears the ladies hold the cards on this one. Begging comes to mind here. I don't think the ladies should be making the donation to the monetarily challenged. I hope the ladies don't feel bad when this happens. Its sad but it always will. Hopefully it just helps with your screening so you know right away not to invest time. You have to shake your head a little though when you think about it. I spend so much money renovating, vacations, fancy meals etc. Etc trying to create memories so when you look back it feels like you lived a good one. Well all I know is when you can trade a few hundred roses for an hour of time from an angel there should be no begging, you should just pay the rate if she accepts you because you will be lucky to have a life memory. They are by far my most vivid and happiest. Ask a girl to turn a dream into reality and if she can knock 20 bucks off cmon....do u want fries with that?
-
1 pointI am new to this but I cannot understand why anyone would be dumb enough to try to negotiate to save $20 or $40. It shows a complete lack of respect for the ladies and I assume they would respond in kind. This is not like buying a car where it has become accepted practice. When I contract for a service such as hiring an indoor house painter (which I just did) there was no dickering over the price. I wanted exceptional service and I got it. Contracting for a lady's time is the same thing. If I accept her rate as is I hope I am going to be well treated by her. How would you negotiators feel if the lady upped her rate once you arrived at her place saying it is extra for this or that. I would leave. Finally I am a professional accountant and I charge $x an hour -- if you try to dicker me down you are a dick and I wont have anything to do with you. Just saying.
-
1 pointOk let's think this negotiation thing through.... if we accept the fact that negotiation is a fact of life and will not go away then it would be reasonable for ladies to factor that into their business model... So if a lady calculates that based on the services she provides and the volume of clients she is willing to see and taking into account her business expenses that she needs $300 an hour to be successful then I guess when she factors in wiggle room for negotiation she should advertise $350. If she does she can "play the game" and give the guy that feeling of "winning " by getting a better price. End result the guy pays $300 like he would have if no negotiation was factored in. Of course the lady could also just leave her rate at $300 and let that smart, bargaining client beat her down to $250 and then just adjust her services so that more things have an extra charge... suddenly the $250 bargain becomes a $350 gain. In my opinion the bottom line is that bargaining is disrespectful at best and at worst is a decision by a client to take advantage of a lady who because of a challenging market, lack of confidence or financial problems is left with no choice but to give in or not have the necessities of life. I also strongly feel that it is in all clients best interest to not bargain as bargaining does not in the long run create favorable market conditions. If you think the rate is too high move on. The ladies in this industry are certainly smart enough to consider the market they are working in, the services they are provide and their own financial needs... if they price themselves out of the market then this will in the long run be self correcting. As for sales or discounts... if that price is available all the time through bargaining than in fact it is not really a sale price. There are a thousand reasons why a lady might offer a sale price and all valid business reasons it does not mean that because she does she has to sell at that price every day. In regards to people thinking their opinion is right and strongly disagreeing with others...yeah of course... if i have considered an issue and come to an opinion on it I would think I would think it was right... that does not mean others should not also express their opinions in fact I encourage them to do so it enhances the debate and educates us all. I may strongly feel your opinion is wrong but I have no problem at all with reading it Just my Opinion Sent from my Passport using Tapatalk

1 pointI think we all get bits and spurts of all types of client issues. The site you mentioned has always served me well so I don't think it is to blame. Nor do I think there is any rhyme or reason for it. Some people are just born negotiators and even when they know better they'll still haggle. I'd suggest putting "no Negotiating" in your ads, if you haven't already, but those same guys probably wouldn't read it, lol. Hang in there, it'll pass:)
