Escorting is a business. Businesses don't offer student rates because it's "a nice gesture". They offer them because there's profit in offering them, either in the short term or the long term. Most businesses that offer student discounts (fast food outlets, movie theatres etc) are able to serve multiple clients simultaneously and increase volume without any decrease in service quality or increase in overhead costs. Increasing their volume of sales more than offsets the price discount. Another common category of student discount is on products and services which are in demand by all students and there is competition by vendors for a larger share, and therefore profit, of the student market (computers and software). Finally discounts to recent graduates are also a form of student discount and are usually used to establish brand loyalty for products (cars) which will produce ongoing sales for decades into the future. I can't think of any way in which these marketing approaches to students will increase profit for an escort. If there was a business case for student discounts, I think "the world's oldest profession" would have figured it by now ;-)

If that's your experience then perhaps you are meeting the wrong providers. I know many who limit the number of clients, don't book back to back and allow time so they are not rushed. Who enjoy the time spent learning about someone and making the connection. If you are finding those who cannot remove their cell from the encounter, it may be time to adjust who and what you're looking for and do more research. It's sad that you question quality time.

No offense but in my years of doing this work, most young men have been the most difficult and most demanding. Now many feel self entitled. However, I can say that there are exceptions and that there have been young men I have seen who never expected a deal because of their student status. I have stopped seeing men under the age of 30 as a result mostly because of how they approach ladies in our business and secondly, because most cannot afford it without having to ask for a deal. Like I said, there are exceptions but they are in the minority. And I can say this because I have years of experience and it's been MY personal experience. We are not commodities, we are offering a service and an intimate one at that where you cannot compare it with tires or cars. If a person cannot afford these services, do not partake. It is not going to kill a person if they can't get some action because there are not enough funds. There are enough people out there offering specials or deals that are affordable without having to give a student special. A person transferring their financial burden onto an individual offering a service and someone they have likely not even met is not acceptable. A man's financial situation is not the escort's problem. Simply put, no money, no honey or find something in your budget range.

What do I think? No. Plain, simple no. I'm not offering an explanation. Just no. When I was in Ottawa I would occasionally get asked for a student discount. I don't have time for that nonsense and just hang up on them. That entitled crap is right up there with "I'm a really good looking guy so I should get a discount/visit for free". (and yes, us ladies get guys saying that to us) *rolls eyes* You want to enjoy my company, you pay the rate. Thinking you're an exception is a quick way to get yourself on my "do not see" list. There are plenty of gents out there who are humble, polite and don't ask for a discount under any pretense, and those are the gentlemen I accept as clients, not the silly boys who think they can haggle my rates. And I am far from the only SP who feels this way, as evidenced by the other comments in this thread.

Some folks have no qualms about giving me their full names, that's a silly notion that we can't be trusted for discretion with your information. As has been said previously, plenty of students and lower-income people see providers. They don't ask for discounts, they save up for the occasion. Either find someone within your budget, or save up for a session. I'm a student, if being so entitles you to lower prices, then should I (reversely) raise my rates because of my situation?

Let's add senior rates, single parent rates, new graduate rates, first time car buyers, first timers and so forth. As providers, we are asked all the time for this. Doesn't go over very well. Find someone in your price range. I've always said why would I give a discount when my regulars pay my rate AND give a tip.

To start off, how would we know whether you're actually a student and not some regular Joe just looking for a discount? Yes I'm sure we could ask to see student ID, but it's a lot of hassle for us making less. Should we also have discounts for those who don't make all that much, or discounts at the beginning of the month since guys just paid their rent and now they're short on cash but they would reeeally like to meet us. There is an abundance of ladies of all shapes, sizes, and most importantly, different prices. As a student you should have no issue to find someone within your budget. If there is a particular SP you wish to meet and she is above your budget, then since this is a luxury service, you should save up until you have enough to meet. Everyone's lives and finances are different, and not everyone can afford to take part in this lifestyle, but no SP should have to make less because you are a student. If we started making specials dedicated to one group of people, then we'd have to start for them all and then we'd get no where. SP's do have specials every once in a while, so if you have your eye on someone in particular than watch her ads to see if one gets offered. So a lady gets contacted by a gentlemen for a date and he can pay her full donation and she gets contacted by a student for a date on the same time/date but he wants a student discount Hmmm who do you think the lady will see for a date Nice gesture...for whom, certainly not for the lady. She's getting shortchanged and this is her livelihood, pays her bills, rent, car payment etc...maybe even her tuition, yes she could be a student too Remember, this is a luxury lifestyle not a necessity. I just finished watching the Bruce Jenner interview with Dianne Sawyer, and I have to say, I have a new found respect for him, coming out to society about transgender! As he spoke, I could relate to his feelings of not being able to "come out", to family and friends, in fear of their reaction, being an SP, I felt the same way, just recently I started posting face pics, which have given me a sense of freedom, just because I am an SP doesn't mean there aren't many more areas to my life, but at the end of the day, for myself I am glad I made that decision! Throughout the interview he discussed feelings of how others would look at him, but he new this is who he is, and society be damned! I learned from his interview, that no matter who or what people see us as, I am still me, and proud to be who I am, so Bruce Jenner I thank you for coming out to the world, you have my highest respect!!

The ladies I see I trust far more than many so called legitimate businesses with my name and other personal info. No hesitation to provide personal info to ladies. But some businesses, hell I still get contacted by Bell Canada, even after leaving them eight years ago, offers from credit card companies that I left, offers for life insurance etc etc etc. They get my name, address and phone number from other companies I've dealt with and had to provide my personal info to But ladies, the information provided has been between just them and me, and only passed along at my request (such as a reference) Ladies don't deserve being stereotyped as untrustworthy. I recently got a no show (and we confirmed the rendezvous a couple hours before the date) So imagine, you prepare yourself with care for your date, get everything ready (including the specific requests) and then.... Nothing lol. For those who are reading, know that it's really annoying to get stood up like that. Especially when you're traveling and you arrange your precious time to see a gent. Learn to budget. I have clients who live on disability and they still pay my full rate. I also wanted to add that offering you a discount is insulting to every client who pays the full rate.

Agreed! Great advices. Just want to add: after you've made initial contact by email, you may want to speak with the lady prior to the date. (Good way to break the ice with no pressure). well i see this sp this weekend twice. I sure enjoyed her company and her smell excites me. I could be relaxing, not working or not really interested to talk at that given time or day. Don't get upset if I don't respond right away. Also, if you so want to say, "sorry you didn't respond fast enough I need to pass," when only 20 minutes pass you really need to be patient.

I figured I would post this here because I know many ladies don't have access to the private areas. Please be on the lookout for fraudulent billing activity on your credit cards. SPMedia is the billing company that TERB used to use for monthly auto billing via credit card. I just noticed they billed my card $83.42 on May 15. I sent Fred a rude message to ask him to reverse the charges immediately and he explained they don't use that company anymore and haven't since January. Therefore the charges are fraudulent. I reported it to my credit card company and they have reversed the charges and canceled my card. Be patient, if someone isn't trustworthy they eventually get a reputation. If they have and keep advertising over the long term you will be able to find some useful info on them.There are many ladies who are here who use the sites you mentioned, but it takes time and effort on your part to find them.

LYLA is a great place to not only research those you find interesting but to also learn a lot and have a little fun in some of the threads. Unlike BP and CL, there is a community here of like minded individuals and many of the ladies participate in the threads and chat room so they build a presence and aren't just fly by night. I would definitely read a few of the threads and stickies to learn about the rules of the site and also etiquette for contacting. I was the same as you holden.
