Hello everyone, Please, permit me to present myself, My name is Maria Divina, based in Montreal. I have been providing companionship to gentlemen since few years, and also, have been, few years ago, a major feminine poster on 2 Montreal's boards, but stop (and erased almost all of my contributions on one (I erased during 8 hours) because that was bringing me concerns I wanted to not handle anymore. Even if I had been member on Cerb from years, I did not really take the time to implicate myself in this board, I had in mind to visit other major cities from long, but with my schedule as student and my other obligations, I put on hold my project. And here I am: I made my first visit last week, I came for the first time in Ottawa, and liked it very much. I would like to come regularly. I have been using some local boards in Montreal to advertise (basically 2). I can certify than Cerb as nothing to do with those boards. I had been living a war between those 2 boards and have been taken between both, because some members of one promote the boycott of the ladies (and agencies too) who were putting ads on the others. (On both boards, they are guys who are in a war against each others). My point as a companion is not to fight anyone, but that was hard to handle, believe me. Anything I could say, was not the good thing, from the guys who were boycotting and pushing other people to boycott, but the other guys on the other board were not giving there place to the fight they are still having, if I had well understood. The result: much more less of recreational written participations on both boards, and I feel a bit betrayed by some of the boycotters who I had met in the past few times, and with whom I had great personal chemistry before all that story, but that didn't stop them to promote the boycott against me. That's totally not what I could call to have a good friendly attitude toward a lady who is greatly appreciated. With the exception of advertising, it seems to be a hostile environment for the SPs. They in turn have one of two options. Suck it up, as to not harm potential business, or speak out, and run the risk of looking bitchy to possible clients. Both problems don't exist on this forum, and I am so thankful to Mod for that. Granted, Cerb has it's share of drama from time to time, but the anonymity of the internet seems to bring out the crazy of people. And while I am grateful for the gentlemen here, I think for enforcing, and fostering the environment that we have on Cerb, I am so happy for the work Mod has put in. It seems that Piano had read it too there some others board (who are probably not the same as the ones I am talking about) letting the same kinds of exchanges happening on their discussion forums. So, I am here now, I think I found an "oasis de paix", a haven of peace. Ladies are really welcome: I can read that their opinions are not received negatively, and gentlemen here are in good dispositions to exchange equal to equal, that's really great! Thank you to have read me, I hope to share positive interactions here. Wow, you just don't want to let this go, do you? Since you've never attended a social before, perhaps as someone who has organized 6 of them in Ottawa I can enlighten you a bit as to our experience which the Halifax folks haven wisely taken into consideration. We had new members or those who never posted (and apparently had never seen anyone on cerb) show up at our socials to simply lurk and that kept others who were more active on the board and the community away. A lot of work goes into organizing these events and if it's not attended by members who are actually "hobbiests" and "sps", then there is no incentive for these members to take time out of their busy schedules to meet with people who simply want to gawk or cash in on free drinks (yes we had ladies posing as SPs who did this also). I am not in any way implying that all new members or even older members with no posts are necessarily lurkers only, but seeing how there is limited room, of course more seasoned members should be allowed first dibs. I don't see any reason for posting what you did except to try and stir the pot which is totally unnecessary and not in the spirit of the board. As Boomer reminds us, this is not a CERB-sponsored party. It is organized by cerb members for other cerb members at the discretion of the organizers. Simply having a cerb handle does not equal entitlement.

There are two ways to learn the sex trade. One is to jump in and learn as you go, the other is to go to work for an agency and learn the trade from the ground up. I feel one of the problems today is the deviation from our history of the game being "sold, not told". It might sound a little street but it is a golden rule. Sps handing out hard earned, dangerously learned or self taught information is like us handing out $100 bills to anyone who asks for one. Why would any SP that understands that knowledge is the most valuable asset she has, willingly hand it out to someone who we don't know? My advice would be to shit or get off the pot, don't expect a free hand out as one needs to earn the trust of providers first before expecting us to "give" you something as valuable as our inner wealth. cat

I don't understand discrimination, but I have been through the consequences of it. As a white girl who lived in an aborginal area I was beat up frequently. I never understood it. As a gay female who has lost many friends when I came out... I don't understand it. I don't get it how someone can immediately judge a person as a whole because of skin colour, gender, orientation, etc. I've always accepted people into my life because I thought that everyone has something to give and learn from. To just cut someone off because you were born a different colour, background, orientation, etc just seems so odd to me. It's too bad that there are people out there who believe that they are right in discriminating against someone. People are people... we are all the same on the inside and that's what people should be focusing on. I feel sorry for anyone who is so closed minded that they can't open up their lives to someone who is diffeent from them. Look at all they are missing!!

1) You can pop the "W" key off of your keyboard, and clean it or replace the rubber foot if necessary. Use a Q-Tip, soaked with Isopropyl Alcohol, that should eliminate any grime that's causing your W key to stick. 2) Your "W" Likely doesn't work because it's either got too much crap gummed inside of it, or the rubber foot (it's a piece of rubber between the plastic "W" key, and the circuit board inside your computer) was disloged. In either case, as it doesn't work either way - you might as well pop it off and find out what's going on =)

This is a rather offensive comment. The organizing for this has been going on for months so there's been plenty of time to comment. Taloon finally quit as organizer after a lot of hard work because some people questioned his commitment as a relatively new and inexperienced member. It took MN2 to pick up the pieces and organize what I expect will be a great first event for Halifax. You must remember that this is not CERB sponsored, but a private affair held in a public venue. At this point it is at capacity and not accepting new participants. I believe that after all the hard work MN2 has every right to put some reasonable rules around it so as to have a discrete and successful event (he has had the benefits of seeing the way the Ottawa ones evolved). It's really important if you want to have more of them in the future that it's a success. Those new guys commenting here will have a chance in the future.

well after a very expensive vet visit for xrays, as I suspected he swallowed something. Was terriably sick for few days. If he was not better by today, then we would have to open him up, costing me 1000.00!! I think he is better, has not thrown up for a day now:) So I think we are safe now! Thank goodness!!! Pewf! I saw this video......made me think of my parents......one is white the other is brown....dating in the 60's was a very different time for mixed race couples my parent went through alot to be together...........told me alot of stories.I'm glad they didnt care or listen to what people said though, i wouldnt be here if they weren't so brave...i hope my generation can end this, we are all the same inside. I am picking this up from where Taloon felt that he had to leave off and I hope that this will work out for all. On June 22nd in downtown Halifax there will be a meet and greet or informal social. It will be held in a public location where we will be able to grab a bite to eat or have a drink. For this first ever gathering lets keep it simple and straightforward. I am going to say 6 PM as a start time, and it can go as long or as short as anyone wishes to stay. For those who wish to attend you can notify me by PM. A day or two prior to the gathering I shall let you know the location. Any other tiny details can be worked out, but if you are able to stop in and meet some new or old friends in this context, then please let me know.

I have already mentioned Porthos in this thread. But something recently happened that really meant alot to me! During the past few days, my dog was very very sick! I thought perhaps we would need operation. ( not 100% sure yet, today will tell). Naturally I was very upset over this! Porthos took the time every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day to inquire on how I was dealing with all of this. I have been going through a process of late that has given me cause to truly appreciate the time and effort behind the scenes for SP's in organizing their schedules and their dates. In assuming the lead role for the upcoming Halifax Meet an Greet and with great intentions, so far achieved, to just keep it simple I find myself doing a lot of unanticipated work. There was the requirement of starting a new thread, then keeping updates on the thread, and then as a result receiving many many PM's. Most of them were really fun and pleasant to read, but a few others were much less so. "Yeah, I want to come to the social." Or, "Tell me what SP's are coming and then I will decide." Next we come to screening. In this situation I am not concerned about personal safety, but I AM concerned about discretion, about having the people that attend be respectful of everyone and of the environment that we will be in. I want as best as possible to ensure that we have a good mix of good people, so I have been looking at the profiles of those who wish to attend. I looked at their join dates. I looked at their posting history. I read some of their contributions on threads. I asked a couple of my SP friends if they knew some of these particular people and listened to what they said. That all takes time, and then it takes personal contemplative time to come to decisions and make contact again to confirm, and then as we get closer to the event I shall be looking for last minute confirmations because I do have a waiting list. Some people respond quickly and others are slower. With all of this it has brought me to some realizations about the work that SP's do behind the scenes. As a client I can easily see the one hour or the two hour time period that we are in each others company. What I can easily overlook as a client is the time taken by the SP prior to that - PM's back and forth, screening with other SP's, taking time to make the important decision about their personal safety, ensuring that the location is clean and acceptable, the personal grooming prior to a date, the expense of dressing in just that "certain" way, and no doubt many other things that I have not even thought about. So my single solitary little exercise has brought me I think to a greater understanding of all of those other things that SP's do that most of us can easily overlook and not even consider. I have always had great respect for the women that I have met, and now that respect is even stronger having had a small taste of what they do every single day. So a thank you to all of those SP's for doing all of those things, for doing the screening that keeps you safer, and doing all of that for the most part with no recognition of the time that you invest.

One week ago my little girl...not quite 4 years old had her finger slammed in a door by her cousin. Broken pinky and tore the end off her finger. They re-attached the tip of her finger which was trauma for her and I both in the emergency room ! I had to literally pin her down so they could stitch it on. I was the one that cut the dressings off everyday because she wouldn't let the doctors and nurses get scissors near her. Then she would let them dress her finger. Today on a Sunday even.....the surgeon and doctor came to look at it and the results were beyond their expectations and she should regain most of the use if not full use :) although she was a remarkable trooper ...now she has a permagrin again !! I still get a bit nervous (or maybe more anxious and excited) when seeing a lady for the first time. I actually much prefer contact by e-mail, as calling someone up cold, and hearing her voice on the phone, is something I find hard to do. No problem calling once we've exchanged e-mails and chatted electronically a bit. To the OP, I'd simply say in your introductory e-mail that you're very shy, and nervous about the whole experience. I'm sure you will get a very reassuring e-mail that will help put you at ease. My first service provider was in Winnemucca Nevada at the Wild West Saloon. As you may know, brothels are legal in some counties in Nevada, but ironically not in Las Vegas per se. I had just finished a business trip in Lake Tahoo and wanted to do some sight seeing the high desert of Northern Nevada. In particular I wanted to go opal mining in the north west corner of Nevada. Well, that was my excuse to my wife for renting a car and spending a couple extra days in Nevada (and she did like the idea of some opal). I had originally planned to stop at the Mustang "Ranch" just outside of Reno, but I couldn't find it. The Mustang ranch is (according the web site) world famous for the model like quality of their girls. However Google maps had given me the wrong directions. I learned later that the entire brothel had been bodily moved about 5 miles further down the highway. After searching for it for over an hour I gave up and drove on towards the Winnemuca disappointed and still horny. I got to Winnemucca just before dark, checked into a motel 6 and got internet access. To my delight I discovered that there was a whole row of brothels along the highway in Winnemucca. He proceeded to inspect my fridge, whereupon he procured a case of beer, which he consumed while waiting for a pizza that he ordered to arrive. Upon the pizza's arrival, he informed me that he did not have his wallet and insisted that I pay the driver. After consuming half the pizza, he unzipped his pants and passed out on the couch, snoring loudly. He is still there. He may no longer be breathing, but I am afraid to check. Nonetheless, I would repeat.

Unfortunately there are still racist people out there. I for one have been told I am too "ethnic" or when I have had an add in the paper, upon asking if I am white and I reply no, have been hung up on or a hasty "ok thanks" click. I'm not knocking people who prefer Caucasian ladies, but they don't have to be rude to me. As far as it "being all in your head" being treated different as a minority, it's not.Unfortunately some people are still stuck in 1950 lol. The fact is, some people are still very close minded and still believe us beige/brown/red/yellow/black people are inferior to them.However, the best advice I got on this issue was from one of my professors in school a few years back. She said" You have to accept your skin is a different colour, and some people, no matter how nice, smart, funny or kind you are to them will never get past the fact you look different. You can't please everyone. So make yourself happy in knowing you're a wonderful person." That always stuck with me. I am mixed race, and I am from a place where it's VERY interracial. I judge people on how they treat me not the colour of their skin or circumstances.I don't care if you're plaid, as long as you're good to me I'll return the favour :) Even though I have had bad treatment in my life, i know that it is their issue because they close minded, and I am a beautiful person and it's their loss not mine. There's alot of wonderful people in this world who care for me and see my differences as an asset, not a reliability or a fault. So to answer your question, yes my views have changed since I entered this wonderful world, I never knew people could be so judgemental and cruel based on my skin and the way I look, but then on the other side of the coin I have never met so many wonderful people who are fascinated by our cultural differences and treat me like a rare exotic gem they are entranced by. It feels so good to be me!!!
