I wanted to bump this thread for obvious reasons...the upcoming holiday season. As you all know from this thread, 11 months agao, I was hit by a drunk driver. Though I am mostly recovered, the pains sometime still linger. I wanted to take a moment, to remind everyone of our resposibilities...towards ourselves, each other, our loved ones, and those around us. Please act with wisdom this holiday season. Many of us will be invited to parties and gatherings, and we will all have important choices to make. If you are drinking, please don't drive. Make other arrangements...we all know there are a multitude of options available at this time of year. And if you see some one drunk...ACT. Don't hesitate. The next person that gets hit by a drunk driver, may not be as lucky as I was. Everyone please stay safe, and best wishes for the holiday season. E.

Hi. I wanted to start this thread to tell people how Cerb has changed or affected my life and to hear other Member's stories also. I first came across cerb over two years ago. I began just be reading the faq's and stories and posting's of all the cerb members. It became a daily habit as there are a lot of interesting postings and wonder stories by the members. A lot of interesting readings and getting to know the wonderful women of cerb's by reading their smart, witty and funny ad's and postings. After about 6 month's of lurking I decided to meet my first SP. Still it took several of weeks of research and reading recommendations before I decided on my first SP. I am normally a shy guy with limited experience as I have been married for a while and have not been with a different woman for a long time. My first SP was wonderful and kind and took control when i told her that she was my first SP. It was a wonderful experience that got my hooked on hobbying. I saw a few more times then met my second SP, who I became friends with and have seen her many times also, and continue to whenever she visits Ottawa, since then I have had many new and wonderful experiences with MA's and a few more SP's that I have repeated with. All of my experiences have made me a more confident man, and have encouraged to me to look after myself more. It has given me the motivation to improve my health and my fitness. At this point in time I am in the best shape of my life and still improving. I have recently spent most of my nights on Chat now, meeting and chatting new friends in the chat rooms. and having fun. I continue to meet new women sometimes, but usually repeat with a few regulars now. I have been told that they have seen a big improvement in my confidence since they first met me. It must be spending all this time with sexy beautiful naked women. I am interested in meeting the women that post interesting comments and also the new friends that I have met on in the chat room's. I am constantly in awe at the way these women treat me. And am thankful that they treat me with kindness and loving ways. I am experiencing things that I would never have dreamed off in my younger days. Spending time with these awesome women are the stuff that dreams are made off. So again a toast to the wonderful women of Cerb. Thanks to the women I have met for the wonderful times that we have spent. And I hope to spend some time with some of the women of cerb that i have not met in the new year coming. Cerb has become a part of my life now. and has become a daily routine to read the post and chat with old friends and make new ones. Let's here some of your stories now :)

I have always been Leary of Asian agencies for a bait and switch that occurred to me a long long time ago .... So I just simply stayed away! I started my business during the recession, so in a way it's been a blessing that I've only worked during a bad economy (can't wait for things to get better). But despite the bad economy, I raise my prices every year or every time I reach a milestone in my work. I understand when SPs will not roll back prices because it sets a precedent. I've seen other photographers do it, and it ends up in a downward spiral. I decided that my time was worth a set amount of $$, if I do get clients, great, and if not, I'd probably live of savings and focus on school or find another job. Thankfully, even though clients have become more frugal, I've gained a reputation and some see the value in that. But to answer the OP's question, I've visited an SP very erratically, no set times per month, just when I feel like it and have the time. So it hasn't made a difference

I think you were lucky to have come across those rates as even 6 years ago I don't think in Ottawa the rates were that low!! I think that $120 to $140 for half and $200 (or $240 for outcall) has been standard prices in Ottawa at least since 2007. Unless you were in Montreal 6 years ago which I think what you quoted still is the standard price there. Going back to economy, I think we are unappreciative a bit here lol. Economy is much worse in other industrialized countries. Europe especially is again in recession with massive debt, cutbacks and layoffs and US just above it. If you want to calculate (cummulative) US debt likely your computer will break lol. In Canada we have a growth rate of 2%. Not spectacular compare to 5 to 10 years ago (when we had between 3 to 4% annual growth) but still the econmy is growing and unemployment relatively low (I remember double digit unemployment not long ago). Hard to find the first time job but not impossible as in US and Europe. The inflation rate officially is at 2%. One good news for those in Hi-Tech is that this industry will be growing slowly over the next decade and for those in government, finance minister said recently that there won't be any more cuts (other than those already announced) in the future.

Congrats to the Argos & Stamps on their victories yesterday! I will be in Toronto for the game next weekend! Going to the Vanier Cup on Friday night as well! A weekend of football, partying & hobbying in the GTA!

LOTS of good shows alreay mentioned such as weeds, walking dead, big bang, soa ect. a couple I would like to throw on the list that I haven't seen posted. I still watch the seasons of Gilmore girls lol. I absolutely love Drop Dead Diva. Hero's is addictive. Becker is a good laugh and if you like Ted Danson there is also Board to Death on hbo with Zach Galifianakis and Jason Schwartzman. Call me Fitz is pretty good. Til death is decent as well as a show that only lasted a season and a half called Gary Unmarried. and there is a show that's on the CW right now in its second season called Hart of Dixie. its an NY surgeon and she gets sent to a small town in Louisiana to run a practice to work on her bedside manner lol and some zany stuff happens :) and 2 broke girls is a definite must see if you haven't already. and Ringer had become an absolute addiction to me last year but unfortunately it didn't get picked back up this year :(

I dunno. To be honest, I always wondered why some guys would take their business to the street when there are safer and more legal options. Is it cheaper (as long as you don't get busted)? Is it the "walk on the wild side" aspect? Are they unaware of other options? Or is it that there's something desirable about using the services of someone you know is far below you in social status. People often note that many streetwalkers feel like they have to be out there, like they don't have other options. Okay. But what's the street john's excuse? Most independent SPs I know enjoy a status similar to that of most of their customers. They're well-educated, have credit, are members of their communities. Incidences of things like substance abuse or domestic abuse are probably lower amongst the SPs I know than in the general population. I haven't known all that many streetwalkers (don't know any right now), but all that I ever knew could be described as living on the margins of society. Most had substance abuse problems, housing security and domestic violence issues. Maybe somewhere there's some savvy bunch of streetwalking soccer moms, but I've never seen it. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that purchasing sexual services is something private. What does it say when a man flaunts his choice, putting his desires as a priority over others legitimately trying to use the same space (businesses dealing with their customers, families using public space)? I believe that hanging criminal charges around the neck of a streetwalker is only going to drive her (or him) further into the margins. But streetwalking is a huge problem in communities, and the purpose of law enforcement is to reduce problems. I wouldn't mind seeing tougher penalties for street johns. Obviously they view what we have now as a joke, and it doesn't deter them at all. As we've seen with drinking and driving, there are some people you simply can't reason with.

I have to second cometman's sentiments. The reality of the encounters I've had and will have are so much better than any fantasy's I could have thought of. I'm convinced it's the way of the future, and there is a huge market ripe for it. Maybe if I ever get too old to be an SP, I can run a stable of male SPs. Mature, experienced, down-to-earth types. And, of course, I'd pay strict attention to quality control.

I've mentioned this before in another thread but i think aside from whats already been said its just a general rule to let the lady be in control of the kissing if its gonna happen... another thing that really turns me off is when a customer grabs the back of my head and holds me down into the kiss (should I decide to give one)....this is not cool because since we'd normally have to be discreet about kissing its important that we can pull away when we need to. sit back relax and enjoy the experience and you'll have a great time

I love getting in to a show once it's completed, so I can watch the entire series in one shot Some of my favourites have been: Six Feet Under LOST Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I'm serious. This took a bit, the first season is dreadful, but it's so clever and witty, it's really worth it) Firefly Battlestar Galactica Dead Like Me Better Off Ted Pushing Daisies and of course, Beverly Hills 90210. This is a pretty insulting thread towards SP's and dancers . If you took time to actually look around CERB there is a super high amount of "model or pornstar" looking ladies. Also falling into stereotypes and labeling dancers as addicts or un safe sexually is pretty low. This is a very common thing with the ladies... Always looking for the "Reason" the business gets slow at times and always looking for answers as to why they get no shows and cancellation more at different times of the year. Most NO SHOWS can be stopped by screening your calls properly. Use the Caller ID and CALL BACK the number to verify it. Most guys will not pull a NO SHOW on someone without having the decency to call and properly cancel if you have their number. They know that come appointment time one very upset SP is going to give them a call asking WTF! It's not 100% but it sure helps for those who screen calls. It also makes the call a little more safer as that phone number is now a connection between the guy and the lady... I doubt someone dangerous is going to want to leave a number that can be traced back to them. Most of the ladies look for reasons when things are slow. I guess most of us do that when the business we are in takes a drop in sales/traffic/work load/etc.... You can spend a good portion of your day trying to figure this one out but it's not really worth the effort. It's WAY easier to just plan for these lows (Put some money aside for the slow periods) and just accept that this is part of EVERY business and it will happen. Stop stressing out and trying to point a finger at what you think is causing the slowness as your just going to convince yourself of something that is probably not correct. We have been tracking patterns in this industry since 1996 and the answer for this is... (Drum roll please)... It has no pattern EXCEPT for a few obvious LOW spots. 1) The end of Aug is SLOW every year! (Kids out of school, getting ready to go back to school, family summer vacations, etc...) This is the most popular summer weekend in the tourist industry!! 2) 1 week before and 1 week after Xmass (No need to explain this one right?) New years day too? NOT... 3) January/February for 2 weeks every year (We sum this up to winter blues and getting your credit card statements from Xmass! but we never know what two weeks it will be but for sure 2 weeks around this time it does drop... one year we did not see this and come April we saw a real low drop for 2 weeks and that was obvious weather patterns (Long winter/early spring ... warm winter/cold spring etc...) it does effect this business and you never know when this is coming exactly... so just put some cash aside for these times. 4) First nice weekend of spring (A lot of the ladies take this time off too) 5) Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentines, long weekends, really large sporting events (etc)... they also effect the business. The rest has NO identifiable pattern. You can try to blame it on the economy as a low economy brings more people into this business causing more competition and the overall amount of "Recreational money" the guys have gets a lot smaller so yes the economy does effect it but a low economy BUT it also brings more guys (New guys) in to the mix as well so it's not hit as hard as one would assume. Remember money and sex are the two big things couples fight about... When the economy drops and the money gets tight the stress levels go up, the fighting between couples goes up and the sex stops!! FACT OF LIFE... and I hate to admit it but that is good for this business for all you ladies!! When economy starts to get good again business will decrease a little at first! It's OPPOSITE of what everyone ASSUMES! As for NO SHOWS... This time of year it will obviously be higher. Kids are still home from school, Family vacations, relatives coming for visits, back to school shopping, etc.. etc... and all those people taking time OFF work for family vacations makes other people have to work more (Overtime to cover shifts, higher work loads, etc) it's all relevant.... A lot of LAST MINUTE things come up this time of the year for the "Family Man" and well... kids and family (for most people) come first so recreational visits take a back seat so stuff will get canceled more this time of year. Picture this... The guy is all ready to come see the lady he has chosen and the door bell rings and it's his brother or uncle or who knows who just "DROPS BY" for a visit... URH!? Probably with his annoying kids and wife... (Many of us have been in similar situations) This happens EVERY YEAR... Come September 17th (Or around that time) once the kids are back in school and the routine is back... things will pick up. Summer sucks as a lot more things can get in the way or throw a guys schedule off. Don't spend all your time looking for reasons why the business slows down.... it happens to EVERY PROVIDER & EVERY BUSINESS ... It can not be busy 100% of the time and it does take a little planning and anticipation.
