I understand what you are saying and while I do not know your specific industry I will say there are very few that you can compare to this one, it simply is not the same. Escorting is an unregulated industry, and a questionably legal one at that. This makes a huge difference in your contract and how people approach it. When I have booked an appointment a client agrees to meet, this is not a sales meeting but rather they have booked a service. Like many other businesses I have a cancellation policy; my Dentist, my spa, even the hotels I stay at do not allow cancellations with less than 24hrs notice, some request additional notice. If I fail to show up at my appointment my credit card which has been put on file in order to reserve the service will be charged a certain percentage that I agreed to when making the reservation. If I do not pay the business has the option to take me to court or send the bill to collections. When you work as an escort your options are limited. Your clients enter into a contract, agree to the cancellation policy, however in general there are not a lot of available options should you wish to pursue a dispute if the client violates that agreement. Even if I chose to go to small claims/collections, if I were to submit every client that ever cancelled last minute on me, I would not only tarnish my reputation (she is not discreet!) but find myself in a quasi-legal dispute where both my client and I would have some 'splainin to do. A deposit is asked for when there are significant upfront costs that I am going to bear and a risk that the client may cancel. This is not a sales call, the client has already made a reservation, and as long as they intend to keep it there should be no issue. There are in fact many industries where clients pay a deposit after the contract is signed. Lawyers get a retainer, contractors get a deposit, even a number of graphic designers will get a partial payment upfront and the balance upon completion of a long project. All of these industries have a number of resources available to them should a client fail to pay upon completion of that project, for the people that work as professional escorts those options are limited.

What a great topic. Mark Twain once wrote, "I have never let my schooling interfere with my education." Indeed, education and schooling are two different things, but they do paths cross on occasion. An engineer by trade, university was a requirement for me. But learning the four laws of thermodynamics did nothing for me when it came to changing a soiled diaper, or putting my daughter's hair in a bun for her ballet classes, or making homemade soup. My daughter just started on her post-secondary education adventure. We had long discussions on whether university or college or a vocational institution was "best" for her. Academically strong, my daughter also has a passion for the arts (ballet, piano, drawing). In the end, she decided on college - which I supported wholeheartedly. She's following a passion in a field that requires strong math and science, while encourages imagination and artistic values. I on the other hand, stuck with something I was good at, not necessarily what I had a passion for. Our society is made up of many individuals with different tastes, different strengths, different comfort zones. Risk takers often do best running their own business, whereas those who need structure tend to do better in a "9 to 5" type of job. In the end, most of us find our comfort zone... and formal schooling and "school of life" are pieces of the puzzle to finding that happy place. A university education may not guarantee you a job/career at the end. But the continuous education from the "school of life" will help prepare you for most situations as we continue our journeys on this planet... CM

Since the comment is too short to fully explain I thought I would point out at the top right of each post (in the silver bar) you will see the "Report Post" section. Then to leave a comment you will see the "Do You Agree With This Post? Leave Comment & Rep Points" and when you click that it will open up another window that says Reputation. There is a spot in the bottom where you can write the comment. Hope that helps!

North American attitudes toward work are really problematic in so many ways, including relating to retirement. There are so many anecdotes of people being miserable in retirement, or retiring and then going back to work a short while later, or dying shortly after retirement. When our value as human beings and our identities are tied so tightly to what we do to make money, it's no wonder that people suffer a crisis of identity, self value or find themselves with nothing to do in retirement. North American culture drives the idea that we should live to work, not work to live, and that our access to even basic necessities and human rights should be determined by our ability and willingness to work, and how society values the work that we do. Given the current culture around work, and the decline in pensions and people's ability to save for retirement, I don't see the question of if people should feel a duty to retire is one that is relevant to most people. I'm in my 30s and I don't see retirement as even a possibility for the majority of my generation and younger generations. Poverty and a lack of social safety nets is already a huge problem that I don't see improving as the population continues to age. This post also has me reflecting on what retirement vs work looks like. I would certainly love to reach a point in my life where I had savings and a pension that I could live off, and didn't have to worry about going to work to make money. However, there's also work that I do, not just for the money, but because I enjoy it, it's meaningful to me, and it let's me feel like I'm making a difference in the world. I don't think I'd stop doing certain kinds of work even if I didn't need the money. Ultimately, I think we're going to have to see a major shift in cultural attitudes toward work, productivity and human value, as jobs are increasingly automated (and therefore eliminated), and human labour isn't as necessary for creating the world we want to live in. We were supposed to be there already, but instead we've seen a shift in the other direction, to people working longer hours and being more productive. But that is unsustainable, and change will eventually happen. Eventually there simply won't be enough work that is considered valuable, for everyone to put in 40 hours a week.

If I am booking with a lady than the probability is that I have done my homework and confirmed that she is an established and reliable and as such I normally don't have any real concern with providing her with my information including phone number, name, Lyla profile info etc. I have never felt it was necessary to share my profession information or work phone number with a lady. If I have a problem with providing verifiable information that the lady can use in her screening process then maybe I should not be booking. In my experience if you can provide references from other established ladies and you share your profile info from here on Lyla many ladies don't ask for anything more then a phone number and hey communication is kinda important. I would kind of have to agree if someone does not want to share their lyla profile info then there is something not quite right with the situation. Just my Opinion

I don't think a University Degree ever guaranteed anyone a job... if you are an untrustworthy lazy bum then the degree would not change that. I think what a formal education always did and still does today is get you in the door for the interview it reduced the chance that you would be screened out in the application process. What has changed over the years is that the number of people with formal education has increased dramatically due to the fact that access to education has greatly increased. Forty years ago you generally only got a university education if you came from a financially advantaged family now with student loans and grants and generally much lower tuition rates (ie tuition rates as a % of family income) and the increased availability of scholarships a formal education is possible for many more people. Overall I would still recommend a formal education to anyone regardless of their age.

About to settle in and watch an episode of Black Sails. Best pirate TV by far, first season is a little slow but the second and third really pick up. I'm all swoony for the on-ship amputations and schemes to fend off starvation in a storm stranded boat. Fuck gold, this is what piracy was really about! (Well ... for the unlucky, anyway).

It may be that tanz1868 was inquiring as to whether or not there is a cover charge to enter the CR area distinct from the 'per song' fee or rate negotiated with the dancer for the time spent in the CR. While this has not been common in the Ottawa area, I do have a vague recollection of such a requirement at a club in Toronto - not sure but I believe it was Fillmore's. Don't recall if there was an 'at-the-door' cover charge, but in any event there was a requirement to fork over $10 (this was many years ago) in order to go to the the upstairs CR area - acccess was controlled by having one's hand 'stamped' at the downstairs bar and this was checked when entering the CR area with a smaller bar. At the time it struck me as a very odd and annoying setup. I'm wondering if this is the sort of thing that tanz1868 had in mind with his inquiry.

It's hard to come up with anything new considering all the glowing recommendations for Emily but I think I have a new twist: I'm a woman. Over time I came to realize that I wanted to be with a woman but could not figure out how to go about that without potentially damaging my happy marriage. After many discussions with my husband we concluded that finding the right escort was the way for me to go about this. I must say that I did indeed find that in Emily. Prior to my first meeting with Emily we exchanged a few emails because I had many questions and I was quite nervous about meeting her. Emily's tone in her emails was very positive and reassuring, she quickly realized that I was nervous about meeting her and was nice enough to answer all my questions. From the first few moments together I knew that everything would go well. Emily was warm, friendly and completely present with me during our time together. We talked on the bed at first as she slowly inched herself closer to me. She has a great ability to pace things and helped me move along from one step to another. I guess I can say that I enjoyed myself a lot on that 1st meeting because I 've been back over a dozen times in the last 6 months. I can honestly say that Emily is warm, genuine and engaging every time I go visit. She is also very sensual and very very sexy! She clearly knows what she is doing! I obviously enjoy the sexy part of our time together but I also very much enjoy the laid-back conversations we have while cuddling. She is a world class cuddler!! Her incall is easy to get to with plenty of parking, discreet and safe. Of course at some point my husband wanted to play too! Why should I have all the fun. :) We decided to have Emily and her partner Robin over for a session at a hotel. Robin is warm and engaging just like Emily. Again we talked for a little while before getting things started, Emily and Robin have a perfect mix of cute, sexy and hot. Their chemistry is great together, they are very very hot to watch. Emily got things started and Robin was right there helping along. It was intense and immensely pleasurable but also unscripted and fun. Both Emily and Robin are beyond pros at the physical part of a visit with them but they are also both very professional, which means to me that they are on time, completely engaging and know how to ensure that you have the best time possible. So my recommendation is as follows: if you are a woman and you want to explore being with a woman but are hesitant, Emily is the person for you! If you are a couple and you want to keep things spicy and fresh, trust me, Emily and Robin will most certainly do that for you!

for those of you that are wondering, this belongs to me :-). If you have seen me through my business, please do not refer to my company name for any reason, the two are completely different, but let me know that you have seen me. Feel free to call between the hours of 5pm and 9pm or text at any time between 8am and 9pm No blocked/restricted/unknown calls are accepted. when you call or text, TELL me your handle on Lyla, that way I know that you are legit. Because this ad is on bp, I get a lot of ridiculous calls that have zero intention of showing up, if you want services, then call, but please don't waste my time or yours. The rates on the 'bp' ad are a 'starting' point, please don't expect 'everything' for that rate. Be realistic. My website listed below are the rates, please feel free to view the website :-)

It's not a bad movie. I watched it a while ago on recommendation of a sexologist friend, as part of a discussion on the legal grey area of surrogacy, and the complexities of therapists recommending and working with surrogates in the context of their professional organizations/licensing bodies' code of ethics, and the general sex negativity pervasive within the culture of Marriage and Family Therapists. I did find the surrogate's behaviour and demeanour a bit unprofessional at some points in the movie, though I overall enjoyed it. There are a couple of big differences between surrogates and other sex workers. One is that surrogates are part of a team, and work with a therapist who provides talk or other hands-off therapy to the client. Another is that there's a professional organization for surrogacy, that includes training, professional standards, membership and professional support that lends a degree of "legitimacy" and "respectability" to the profession in the eyes of the law and other medical and mental health professionals. So while I might be a breach of ethics for a therapist to recommend a client see a sex worker, connecting them with a surrogate would not (necessarily) be. IPSA provides training and membership for surrogates, if anyone is interested in more info: http://www.surrogatetherapy.org/

I have absolutely no problem when a lady I'd like to see for the first time asks me for my board handle, phone no. or even a reference from another lady. In fact, the first info. I'd provide her voluntarily are my handles (from two sites) in the hope that this will make her feel as comfortable as possible - keeping in mind that I am a total stranger to her. But having been here for a while, I have come to realize that there's another school of thought some clients have in giving out handles. They are reluctant to share this info. claiming that, by not knowing their handles, the lady would provide her service without biases - and not giving better service or better treatment to an established board member, for example. Personally, I really do not care too much whether this thinking is true or not. I'd rather have a good time with a lady who knows what to expect and is comfortable in seeing me.

I hope everyone is a great Valentines weekend with lots of special time with the people you care most about in your life. I lost someone very close to me a number of years ago and miss that person pretty mush every day of my life... holidays, anniversaries and special occasions are always greeted with mixed emotions when you lose someone you love but you do your best to make it still the best you can for the people who are still with you. My wish for everyone on Valentines Day is that you take advantage of the day to tell the people you care about how you feel... they will love to hear it and frankly you never really know when that opportunity will no longer exist. Happy Valentines Day

hahahahahahhaha <THUD! owfuck!>.......hahaha (the THUD, was me falling off my chair, btw hehe) a woman who complains about how nice it was when this man goes down on her... and stopped him.... and then complains about not cumming herself... HAHA two words for you twit...."SHADDUP!" to have the nerve to insult someone (who is *paying you*) for not engaging in 'mutually satisfying experiences'... AND actually said that it is her time.. and NOT sex.. that she is paid for.. then again, I have to say shaaaadup! he paid her, for the time... what should it matter to him whether she cums or not <insert appropriate eye roll here please>...after all, as she said, it *isn't* the sex he is paying for lol if a person is paying for a service such as this... sex/fantasy/kink/ release.... they are likely paying for the fact (at least in part), that they don't *have to care.... no 'responsibility' of a relationship (of the conventional sort).. no stress.. no expectations.. just enjoyment...to be doted on... pure and deliciously simple... I mean, really chick? pull your delusioned head out of your ass already ;) she says she will only see men who 'care' about her... so my thought, is how will she find out if they do? is there a questionaire to fill out.. does she outright ask them? do they 'date' a while first so she can see where this may/not go? lol good gawd!! and apparently won't see men who cum too fast... HA! I actually enjoyed the line about them 'taking responsibility for their erections' lol.. but when thinking about it... should she not be the one who takes responsibility for it? I mean, <grin> is that not what she should be expected to produce/ <wink> and to go as far as calling someone a loser simply because they came too fast... wow.... I think a few lessons in edging.. for her.. may be in order <wink>.. not their fault if she has no idea wtf to do with what they are allowing her to play with ;) (....and again... wonder how she finds out how 'fast' they are? does she ask? hehe) ....and mid-rant.. puts a shout out to her sister??!!! hahahaha, pardon my brashness here but.. fuuuck me! haha the only 'authority' of anything she could possibly have... would be the unbelievably huge amount of crap spewing forth from her face lol She lacks the grace, respect (for herself as well as others.), and general knowledge to be much of a success at this I think.... I am always one who certainly does appreciate self-confidence.. and a high value on one's self.. but when it only stems from a place where you have to demean/belittle or put down others.. it is just rather sad... it is not powerful... nor attractive... Speaking as one who very much enjoys all aspects of what I do.. the pro-domme work, the massages.. the 'other menu'...and one who functions as what is referred to as a switch...(equally as comfortable as a dominant, and a submissive)I look at the whole thing, really, as an honor... someone has trusted me with their body... to pamper and pleasure them...to in fact, make even just that brief period of time in their day.. all about them... which definitely feeds the submissive side of me.. catering to precisely what the person requires/desires.... while having them rather vulnerable on my table.. <grin>.. certainly goes a long ways to pleasing the Domme in me... all while a main focus is on *them*... what they are in need of....how soon they cum... how many times... irrelevant... really... it is about pleasure.. and to that note, I do ask men who see me (women too, actually) if they tend to orgasm quickly, if they can more than once..if there are things during an encounter that they enjoy or DON'T like <grin>...or puuurhaps just something they might like to try... and this conversation takes place BEFORE the appointment...and let's me know,as the provider.. how I can cater the session to best benefit *them*... not me hehe although it has happened <grin>.. a most lovely and welcomed added bonus.... but certainly not a "requirement" LOL good grief! and her drivel about how men over 40 are not 'hot enough' for her... hahaha she is going to starve with that attitude.. for sure! I think puuuurhaps.. a different career choice may be in order.. something with a small room.. no other humans.. and maybe even duct tape across that crass little mouth... might be a muuuuch more appropriate work environment for her ;) Although a sad little rant, from an unfortunately sad little woman.. I did find it entertaining.. so thank you for posting hehe I am in fact, sharing this with some domme/dom friends of mine who I also think may appreciate it's twisted humor ;) totally made my day hehe

It likely depends on the degree...a liberal arts degree probably now, (and just my opinion) means as much as a high school diploma did back when I went to university. (BTW I got liberal arts degree) For those graduating with for lack of a better word, professional degrees, such as B.Eng, B.Comm, LL.B even M.D. etc the career options likely much brighter But is a university degree the end all I'm no expert, but some trades seem to have a career future. And there is no university. But education takes on different forms...and who is to say that a trades training education is lessor than a university education. Anyhow a rambling from someone streamed into university and had no say from grade 9 on way back in the 1970's, and actually wished I could have had a career in a trades field RG

What a great topic! I would say definitely yes, University education is overrated. Too many people in my life have gone through the typical program, for example Commerce, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, etc. Not only are they deeply in debt, but they're unable to find the high-paying jobs they were expecting when they completed their program. At the moment, they're actually worse off than those who didn't go into debt through expensive education.

My gift to you, one that would appease the God's with a visual delight! One of my most sultry and intriguing projects! Unlike most of my other albums, this one does not follow a certain theme throughout... but rather surprises you at each flip of the page! Working with 2 photographers at the same time gave me a unique opportunity for different approaches to beauty and art. More albums will be appear slowly from this project, by far the longest photo session I have ever modeled for! 8 hours of work, with extraordinary posses and outfit changes. Keep your eyes open in various art shows, as I have been commissioned to allow my work to be shown in galleries in NB! To get you started, here is one I know that will peek your interest! Check out the rest ( sorry ONE is still moderated as I later decided to add this one) http://www.lyla.com/vbulletin/album.php?albumid=11275 [/img]

A burner phone for work: Ugh, I don't even know. MONEY. It costs MONEY. That's close to $2000 grand in expenses ON THE LOW END OF THINGS. Or did you think we all rolled out of bed perfectly coiffed, manicured, plucked, waxed with magically free incall spaces waiting for you to call us? On top of which, none of us need to justify our rates to you. Please crawl back under the rock from whence you came.

We are extraordinarily grateful that someone will even stay in the same room as us when we are naked. 3. Nap time is on the clock. 4. Cuddle time may just be the best we can do. 5. Less likely to stalk, we barely even remember where we live. 6. While we remember to bring the envelope, we might not remember why we came. 7. We can help with history assignments in post secondary courses. We were there when it all happened. 8. Arthritis prevents us from being too grabby.
