I had the opportunity last night to have an in-depth discussion about C-36 with an Ottawa policeman. All this was off the record, he was speaking only for himself and his situation may change but none the less it was interesting. Based on what he's been told, he does not see any major changes on the horizon. They will continue the occasional street level John Sweep. The guys will get charged. The SPs most likely won't. As for SPs working from their home, condo, apartments or agencies, they have no interest in pursuing them. The probable results are not worth the investment in time and resources. Besides, he said, those people are paying their taxes just like any other person so barring any complaints, why would they bother them? He said this was the same for agencies, independents and "rub & tugs". He explained that they, the police, are generally in a reactive mode. There is only so much money, manpower, and resource available so they will react to community issues (complaints). The closest thing to proactive effort he mentioned was a Sergeant who was reaching out to women working from ....... to make sure the SPs were aware of the resources available to them in case they had problems. Apparently this Sergeant got into difficulty when he got a little too friendly with the SPs but that's a different story. He's not aware of any new money being allocated to address this "issue". Bottom line: Don't go looking for sex on street corners. Be discrete. Life will go on.

I am not a shawarma. lol I know you have good intentions but I think there are ways to describe a rendezvous that sounds more eloquent than comparing one's self to food. I really think there will be a change with the new law and steering away from being viewed as an in/out drive thru express menu. That includes past pre C36 recommendations Getting rid of one menu isn't an invitation to create a new menu. C36 sucks, no question. Personally, I am avoiding any sort of "menu". As it says on my site: I am a whole woman who can't so easily be quantified and to boil our experience down to a 1 -10 rating and a handful of letters is really doing our time together a great disservice.

A lot of us have been saying pretty much this since C-36 was looming months ago. Even when certain things were illegal, LE didn't go around busting everyone they could find. C-36 won't change that. The biggest difficulties will be in us ladies advertising effectively and having our online communities like Cerb. Independent ladies and agencies likely will get zero troubles from LE. We've beaten this discussion to death over many threads, and frankly I'm not the slightest bit surprised that an officer told you this. This law sounds scary, but it's up to LE to enforce it, and they've never been too concerned about busting up the sex trade. It's pretty low on the list when you've got rapists, murderers, thieves and all manner of other criminals out there.

I am actually somewhat happy that the "menu" is something we are going away from. I know that some guys are really particular about what they want and don't want and need more info but for me, it's just not that important. I think guys may have to see a lady for a 30 minute "coffee date" or whatever (not in public) and find out if the fit is right. Perhaps seeing what she offers or restrictions in person but my suggestion is to just go with the flow and not be worrying about those little details. I am a die hard BlackBerry user and I recently downloaded a new App that I think is great for this Hobby/Business. The App is called "Hide SMS" and while it is for BlackBerry 10 phones I am sure there are similar Apps for other popular phones. Bottom line the App redirects incoming text messages from identified contacts or phone numbers into a password protected area on your phone and not into your regular text message location. This allows clients to securely text back and forth with SP's with no indication of the text trail in their regular text listing. If your spouse checks your phone you are all clear. It also would allow SP'S to flag the number of regular clients so that the record of their conversations were secure in case the phone is ever lost of stolen. I have only been playing with the app since yesterday but it looks very promising.

Some of the new social messaging platforms are offering interesting options for communication in the new legal world... for example the latest version of BlackBerry Messenger offers the option of timed messages that the reader can only see for a predetermined amount of time... with the already good security of BBM this added feature would be an excellent way for a more explicit conversation with no real record of it existing... with BBM now available on all phone platforms I would love to see more ladies use it. Law enforcement is not on a moral crusade here like the Conservative government is. If they're told to enforce something they will do it because it's their job. It is also based on time, budget and resources. Many people think that once this bill is official law that LE will just be waiting to arrest people. This bill is so contradictory and evasive that I feel bad for police officers who are just doing their job. People need to use common sense here. Pivot legal has some great information on this bill/law. I understand your fear but this stuff is painfully easy to navigate. There will be a learning curve, not only for clients, but providers as well but let's be honest - we are a pretty smart bunch of people here. You will see advertising change drastically, it has to. You should be careful who you see (known, trusted, reviewed providers) but you should be doing that anyway. If you're onr of those people that send lewd texts, stop. I'm in ottawa and logging license plates seems silly to me. Most downtown hotels double as government parking so the same plates are there all the time. I don't think that LE is going to have the resources to go insane on this I expect a couple of big busts (or attempts..we've seen their success rate) and that's it. This will cause problems to spas, agencies and street level works. I feel awful for them but I am not involved in those categories so I cannot speak for their strategies. Just to clarify I moved on to other reasons that had nothing to do with the fact her pictures were old. Its a fact , especially at a young age , people can improve their looks over time.
