No, not at all. It just means the governing body that has the final say in .ca domain names is Canadian and falls under Canadian jurisdiction. Where .com domain names are USA domain names and no jurisdiction. We are still a canadian company and we are still complying with the new laws as everyone should. The dots/dashes are annoying, we all invested a lot of time and me myself many years of my life building this site and to have to conform this because the government pulls this BS makes me sick to my stomach! The stress is killing me! No one HATES this more then I ... i can assure you of that. But short of packing up the company and moving to another country we must comply. Other sites that changed domain names and moved servers to Amsterdam are NOT safe as the owners are still in Canada. If the police wants to go after them it's not hard to find them if they are taking any sort of payment. They are breaking the law, we choose to comply and no break the law so that we can keep the community going.

I entirely disagree. I came to CERB at a time in my life when I felt very isolated and empty. I had always been curious about this business, but the stigma made me believe I was crazy for having such thoughts. Lyla.com was the domain name for Lyla's List, one of the first boards of this kind that was started in the 90's and was later acquired by escorts-canada, cerb's owners. From what I understand one of the reasons the board is going back to the old name because it is a dot com not a dot ca.

Anna, i think that if you had just been more direct, and not so roundabout hinting at this and that 'stuff', maybe the reactions would have been more acceptable for you? As it is, you jump onto one reply, one of the things you complain about others doing, i think? So basically what i am getting from the OP is that you feel that some members are reporting ..'s ads or sending mod info about their ads on other sites, in order to get them banned from using cerb. In a malicious way, of course, and you want these people to mind their own business. If that is what you are saying, i wholeheartedly agree. I can't speak for Mod, but my understanding is that what matters is what can be seen by visitors to the site. I disagree. Lots of us use BP as another way to advertise. However, if BP is the ONLY site, then I would be concerned. That's why using cerb AND Google helps to weed out the fly by nights. Do your research when visiting anyone.

The VERY FIRST adult discussion website in Canada (at least that I know of) that had info on escorts was created by no other then "Joyful Spirit" (A member here who use to go by the name "LYLA" and she built the website and was a pioneer for online escorts in Canada). Well, it's been building for a while now and only getting worse. I smell a witch hunt and the intensification of an us versus them attitude, where those who model and best emulate the most sanitized image of the 'Escort' and sometimes, the 'Hobbyist', get their precious brownie points while others, particularly the oh, so very bad and 'risky' workers get shit on. And, this messaging is being directed regarding workers in general discussions and not just those formally linked with CERB, but it's functioning in really damaging ways that do affect our Members here and this hurts the culture that people have worked so hard to make supportive and caring and progressively minded...what's going on is slut shaming and another term I don't even think I can use on here now. I've even had personal conversations with workers who were worried that other workers would be tricking them into providing a menu or discussing 'activities' over text and whatnot and that this would be used as a way of thinning the ranks and getting them kicked off of boards like this. Paranoid? I think not, especially given all of the nasty talk and the fear and uncertainty that has transpired in recent weeks...about how all of the change would be handled, about the level of censorship and the reach of control these changes would result in in terms of workers needing to alter their business models and online presences. Under the tyranny of fear and censorship, very lovable people are driven to engage in truly ugly behavior. I think it was a wise decision on the part of the board to make a distinction that those going on with advertising their extras in other places aren't automatically kicked off of CERB, so long as they are not linking their presences or posts here to those other spaces. Otherwise, I know we would have a worse rats nest than we already do now. Just because many of us felt compelled to adapt our business models and advertising practices to continue to try and thrive and provide the most comfort and assurance to our clients who are looking for that, does not give any of us the right to look down or direct hatefulness at those who are not towing the line. And, many of of us who have made these changes are carrying extra burdens and worries in greater isolation than before. There is a cost to sanitizing one's image...just as there is to becoming the Dudley and Dolly do rights who will be hurting their eyes and giving themselves calluses from hitting the report post button so much. [Yeah, there is a difference between reporting a post and becoming the post police or some resentful, makeshift Mod. I can read between the lines that this is happening.] And, for those of my colleagues who have acted as though they don't understand why others are so upset that they have to be censored and constrained in such a way because they've been doing it this way all along with no issues at all, you need to know you are in a minority and that the industry overall does not march to the beat of your drum...very invalidating and politically self-ingratiating behaviour. I see we are under constraints here and that people are fearful and frustrated, but let's really be honest with ourselves about the difference between adapting and surviving versus shitting on people and hyper fixating on their business practices....or, better yet, between playing along and drinking the Kool-Aid. It's really hard to say how this is going to be enforced in Winnipeg. Check pictures using something like Tineye or similar. If the pictures are fake, how can the lady in question be considered totally honest? That's just a starting point though. Having had a great experience with Kaylie previously, I thought I would give the fine folks at Pink Kitty a call. I told Lisa (apparently Jessica was not the one answering calls today) what I was looking for. She told me Nikki, 18, had strawberry blond hair, large breasts, and was about 120 lbs. No complaints at this point. What brought me to Pink Kitty in the first place was Dreamer8's rave reviews of the place (I never use agency's but, Dreamer, you are the man!). On a side note, congrats on your award, I have found your input to be quite helpful in the past. So I arrived at the incall location which was a hotel at carling and the queensway. Got there a bit early, but got the call from Lisa to head on up to the room. Nikki opened the door and she was not quite what I expected. I would say about a 5/10 face, and 6/10 body. Probably should have turnaround at this point, but like I said, I was in the 'mood' (my 1st bad call). She asked me if it was for one hour or a half...i said one hour (my 2nd bad call). So i begin to undress and notice some pictures displayed on the dresser and end table...they were of her boyfriend and son...I made no mention of it, but man that put Mr. Happy in a bad mood. Not to mention that her b/f's Tommy Hilifiger jacket was also lying on the chair. She mentions she doesn't kiss...again, I look at the picture on the table. So I went for one round (rather than bolting and my third bad call) and decide to get the hell out of there even though I had paid for the full hour. As i'm making my way out of the hotel, I realised i left my watch in the on the table...shit (my final bad call of the evening). I went back up to the room and knocked on the door...the boyfriend answers the door!!!...yup that's right....I just banged this guys g/f is all I'm thinking. He hands me my watch and I get the hell out of there again. Overall a pretty f***ed up experience. Anyways, the point of all this was to share a laugh and my interesting evening with my fellow "cerbites"... It's worth noting there isn't much of a consistent level of service being offered at PK (in my opinion anyways). I highly recommend getting a pic first, and not just listening to a description of a girl over the phone. Perhaps this was my 1st real mistake of the evening! I guess you can never really be certain of any situation (duh!) and thinking with the wrong head can lead to poor judgement as it did in my case. Cheers gents.
