3 pointsHi. I wanted to start this thread to tell people how Cerb has changed or affected my life and to hear other Member's stories also. I first came across cerb over two years ago. I began just be reading the faq's and stories and posting's of all the cerb members. It became a daily habit as there are a lot of interesting postings and wonder stories by the members. A lot of interesting readings and getting to know the wonderful women of cerb's by reading their smart, witty and funny ad's and postings. After about 6 month's of lurking I decided to meet my first SP. Still it took several of weeks of research and reading recommendations before I decided on my first SP. I am normally a shy guy with limited experience as I have been married for a while and have not been with a different woman for a long time. My first SP was wonderful and kind and took control when i told her that she was my first SP. It was a wonderful experience that got my hooked on hobbying. I saw a few more times then met my second SP, who I became friends with and have seen her many times also, and continue to whenever she visits Ottawa, since then I have had many new and wonderful experiences with MA's and a few more SP's that I have repeated with. All of my experiences have made me a more confident man, and have encouraged to me to look after myself more. It has given me the motivation to improve my health and my fitness. At this point in time I am in the best shape of my life and still improving. I have recently spent most of my nights on Chat now, meeting and chatting new friends in the chat rooms. and having fun. I continue to meet new women sometimes, but usually repeat with a few regulars now. I have been told that they have seen a big improvement in my confidence since they first met me. It must be spending all this time with sexy beautiful naked women. I am interested in meeting the women that post interesting comments and also the new friends that I have met on in the chat room's. I am constantly in awe at the way these women treat me. And am thankful that they treat me with kindness and loving ways. I am experiencing things that I would never have dreamed off in my younger days. Spending time with these awesome women are the stuff that dreams are made off. So again a toast to the wonderful women of Cerb. Thanks to the women I have met for the wonderful times that we have spent. And I hope to spend some time with some of the women of cerb that i have not met in the new year coming. Cerb has become a part of my life now. and has become a daily routine to read the post and chat with old friends and make new ones. Let's here some of your stories now :)

3 pointsJustJack, I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but RG is a well-liked and much-respected member of CERB. If you don't appreciate his posts, that's fine; nobody's forcing you to read them. But please rest assured that snarky comments like the one you've just made will not change anyone else's opinion of RG's worth; they may well, however, change people's opinion of yours.

2 pointsJust came back from the grocery store...god I hate shopping First someone trying to sell subscriptions to the Toronto Star. Said no. Tried the pressure sale on me. Had to get kinda rude with him, say what part of no didn't you understand. WTF is a grocery store thinking allowing that type of selling on the way into their store Second, going up and down the aisles. Someone turns their cart perpendicular to the aisle while looking at the items on the shelf, essentially blocking the aisle...WTF are they thinking...well guess they aren't thinking Third, the store has recently changed and has an express checkout four items or less. Might be great in theory, but on a Saturday when it's busy, and there is one checkout (express) staffed, a couple regular checkouts closed (lack of staff) and line-ups at the two checkouts open, not to mention, to boot, there is no one going through express, you got to wonder WTF are they thinking. I hate shopping RG

2 pointsWe have an obligation not to put anyone at increased risk of harm, which is what targeting these clients would do. This is why the solicitation charge was challenged. Then go after THAT. I'm sure there are clients of street-based workers who don't do these things. Why should they be targeted because of the actions of others? When outdoor parks were "known" to be used by gay men for sex because used condoms were found around, would it then make sense for police to go after all gay men? Homelessness and addiction issues also contribute to the problem of used condoms and drugs paraphernalia being found outdoors. Should we round up all the homeless persons and throw them in jail? Again: target what is actually the problem, not what you think is the cause of the problem.

1 pointI have a photoshoot coming up and need some suggestions for a good hotel in Ottawa or Montreal to do this in. She is looking for Boudoir/glamour type of pictures and I would like to have some big windows or similar to make it interesting. It has to be a hotel that doesn't bother you if you carry some camera equipment to the rooms, I have that happen in the past. I try to travel light but there are still some bags to carry. If anyone of you have done this and have some recommendations they can share, please do so.

1 pointHow has Cerb changed my life? That is an interesting question and in fact one a question that I ponder over on a very regular basis. I really cannot say that it has changed my life, however it has become an important part of my life over the past couple of years. I will be very shortly leaving Cerb behind, for a while, and at that point I may better be able to answer the question. What Cerb has brought me is a way of meeting women that is totally opposite to what one comes across in everyday life. Here when I meet a woman a sexual encounter is virtually guaranteed and the social/personal aspect is something that perhaps may develop. In my other world when one meets a woman one knows that a social/personal encounter is virtually guaranteed and that a sexual aspect is something that may develop. Two polar opposites. It is a lot easier in the Cerb world because I am so much more confident with my social skills than with my seduction skills!!! Has it changed my life? I think the answer has to be a yes because anything to which I have devoted as much time to as this has to have an affect on my life. It has a filled a void and whether that void will be filled outside of Cerb is yet to be determined, but truthfully, I think not. I know that I have met women that have accepted me exactly for who I am. I believe that for the most part the interactions have been honest and without judgement and I ever so much appreciate being a part of a world that does not require the games that are normally played in traditional relationships. It is very refreshing. Some of the women that I have met have helped me in more ways than probably some of them realize. Two years ago being a part of this world would have been the furthest thing from my mind and it was a world that I truly did not even know existed. What I thought that I knew about this lifestyle was shattered with the first woman that I met and I am still learning a great deal about this world and about myself as I navigate my way. The story is not yet done.

1 pointI've been a member here since 2006, but was satisfied to lurk the site for many years. After my wife's death in 2005, my life changed enormously, and after coming to terms with it, I was left having to make a number of decisions as to how I wanted to proceed. I could go and find a new companion, or live a single life. I'd had a decent marriage, two great kids, and have enough money to have a comfortable life. Single life has the advantage of giving me a certain freedom to pursue many new experiences in life. So I opted for the second option, and about three years ago started to become a regular participant. I've met a lot of nice women, and ever once in a while one that I know I'll have as a friend and see for quite a few years to come. I've attended many a social event and today also count many of the hobbyist as friends. Lightning may strike and I stumble across a new partner, but until then this is one of the sites I rely on to find ladies to enjoy and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

1 pointIs it horrible to love, and drool, over an energy efficient Japanese vehicle? This isn't entirely the point of the thread, but I love the Elantra by Hyundai. It's a simply car, yet attainable because it's within my price range, sexy, and (as much as cars can be) relatively energy efficient! When my shit-box of a car finally dies on me, I will get an Elantra.

1 pointI tried quitting a few years ago and went about 3 years without but fell off the wagon. But I am thinking about it again because I'm in my early 50's older and the SP that I'm attracted to are usually in their 20's and although it hasn't really matter to the SP, it is starting to feel weird to me. I've been looking for older SPs but it doesn't completely do it. The service is great but the attraction isn't there for me.

1 pointThanks to someguy for this thread. My CERB story has some parallels with his. I have been married a long time (30 years) but the last several years have been without any physical relationship. The reasons for this are complicated. The root cause is an illness but there are other factors. Anyway, without going into detail separation is not an option, at least for now. About 3 years ago I accepted a position which meant that I would spend more time in Ottawa than at home. Months later while alone in my hotel room one night, after years of celibacy, I gave in to temptation and googled 'Escorts Ottawa'. After sorting through the chaff I came to the kernel of CERB. I had not seen any forum for this industry before and was unfamiliar with much of what I read but I was very intrigued. I should say that since this time I have looked at other forums and, because of the misogyny and trolls and flaming, I am convinced that I would not have stayed to look around if the general tone had not been a positive one. I registered and lurked for a few weeks and, finally plucking up my courage, contacted a well-reviewed mature provider. She responded immediately, which gave me a frisson of excitement, and I was hooked. In spite of a near heart attack level of nerves I met with her and, even though I was awkward and rusty, had a wonderful time. I was astounded at how much my outlook improved. I think I became a 'better' person to be around both at work and socially. Over the subsequent months I met with this provider a few more times and then she retired. I took this as a sign that this part of my life was over but I soon descended into the same funk that had gripped me in the previous years. After a time I found myself back on CERB and in contact with another provider. I saw her a few times and again, my demeanour improved enough for people to comment on it. I have since seen another provider or two and all my experiences have been brilliant. I believe that CERB is responsible for restoring me to being a full person again. As a side note, prior to my experiences, my only knowledge of this industry was through the occasional news story and ridiculous Hollywood movies (Pretty Woman, etc.). Without really thinking about it, I imagined that all sex workers were either drug-abusing streetwalkers or Valentino-wearing, champagne-swilling high end call girls. The time I spent reading CERB demonstrates the obvious fact that both SPs and clients are real people who run the gamut from well-educated and thoughtful to desperate and difficult. Of course there are sad stories, but that is true in all walks of life. In recent weeks I am spending more time at home and have become a more active member of this forum. I enjoy the interaction and the feeling of being part of a community of like-minded people. Thanks to all. TL;DR Discovered that having an active sex life makes you a more complete person (duh!) and that sex workers and clients are just regular people (double duh!).
-
1 pointThat may be true, but please remember that the community does not have an obligation to make streetwalking safer, easier (or more lucrative, for that matter). People say there will always be streetwalking because some men just prefer to be able to hop in their car, drive around, see the "goods," pick someone up, and have it all over and done with, quickly and conveniently. And because they've made it clear that there will always be a demand for this, everyone else should be cowed into accommodating them. These are the same men who can't be bothered properly disposing of their used condoms. They have consistently made it clear that they'd prefer to just whip them off and throw them on the ground for someone else to deal with. That's their preference, and since they have consistently made it clear that this is their preference and will always be their preference (and since, after all, they are MEN), then I suppose the community must accommodate them by finding someone else to pick up their jizz-filled condoms. Right?

1 pointTargeting customers is a sure-fire way to make things worse for street-based workers. If clients know they are at risk of being arrested/charged, they are going to be less likely to allow time for workers to size them up curb-side. They are going to want the worker to jump in the car right away so that they do not draw attention, and this means that in order to get a call the worker is not going to be able to properly assess the client. I would much rather see supportive housing for street-based workers and increased access to social support programs (see: http://www.pivotlegal.org/pivot-points/blog/housing-committed-to-sex-worker-safety-is-a-critical-part-of-the-solution)

1 pointHonestly I think everyone has different experiences with phone providers so a true objective opinion won't come For me, I like Rogers, got a 3 year plan costing $70.00 month and my android (Samsung Galaxy Note) came with it. If I bought just the smartphone it would have cost $600.00 I left Virgin, (had pay as you go) They used to have great customer service, now it sucks...sucks enough that I left them to go to Rogers. Oh and I had to buy the cell phone (basic cell phone) from them, not a complaint, but at least with Rogers I got a smartphone included. And don't get me started with Bell, they screwed up my regular phone, internet and dish, so I dumped them years ago. Would never think of getting them for a cell phone provider A late night, well early morning rambling RG

1 pointStopped in for a lunchtime visit today (Fri. 23/11), was lucky to meet McKenzie, seems like a very sweet lady! Met Casey also. Saw Olive, Angie, Barbie, and a few other faces I recogized, but forget their names. My shining star of the day was, (I think, from descriptions earlier posted within this thread), Maya. She told me her name but I really wasnt listening as her initial presence was very striking! We knocked back a couple of cocktails and then headed downstairs for an epic CR session! Going to be a while before I loose that from my memory bank.

1 pointThe hatred between the two sides is too deep and spanning over 70 years. All started when arabs saw their land confiscated by jewish immigrants from Europe (the second world war survivors not actually born in where used to be called Palestine). The immigrants took over and form a government. Arabs became second class citizens in their own country where they were born and raised. They were treated badly and in some cases terrorized by extreme jewish elements whose goal was to terrorized arabs and drive them out of the newly formed state of Israel, and fearing their lives many did becoming refugees in neighboring countries living in tents. Many arabs were massacred, including women and children. Then the Arabs started taking arms too and fighting back. Whenever Israelis were killing the innocent civilians it was fight for existance in the eye of the world and whenever arabs were killing Israelis they were labelled as terrorists. Israel was backed by the US and the British. Armed to teeth and being experienced fighters (best pilots in the world) they defeated arabs badly in 1967. In 6 days they crushed the entire Egyption, Jordanian and Syrian armies and captured more territories than the original state of Israel. In the 1973 war they didn't do that well but still kept their grounds. The corrupts selfish Arab governments mostly backed by US did not have the will to fight for their arab brothers and sisters. The Egyption and Jordanian economies were in trouble and they both decided their own interest over that of Palestinians. The non-arab Iran made plenty of speeches but arab support had no support among the 95% non-arab Persian population who had their own 15 century dislike wars, and mistrust of arabs. Hatred continued well into 80's and israeli invasion of Lebanon resulting in thousands of civilian deaths did not help either. Deep hatred continued into the 90's and first decade of the century. No major wars between the states but suicides bombers killing innocent Israelis and then the Israeli army retaliating by invading weak neighboring states and killing many times more (than Israelis killed) mostly innocent arab civilians only made hatred deeper. Regretfully this may continue for many years to come. I would like to say that it is time for hatred and killings to end and negotiations for peaceful co-existance start but though I can certainly wish for that, I am not optimistic that it can happen anytime soon. The hatrade is too deeply rooted. The prospects for peace exists when the hate goes away. The Arabs must recognize that Israel has the right to exit Israelis have the right to live in peace and forget about the past atrocities committed (by both sides I may add) and the Israelis must accept that arabs are entitled to their own country and land and be allowed to return to their homeland. Neither of those listed above is possible at this time as we speak (I regret to say). God knows how many more women and children on both sides must die or become homeless or suffer until these people realize the evils of war and hate and that life would be a lot better in peace than war and that love is a lot better than hate. My guess is that this may happen eventually but not in our lifetime but I do hope that I am wrong.

1 pointRecently, I've been told I look like "Gil Grissom" from CSI. Other times, Robert Downey Jr. (when I lose weight). Got one of those generic faces that remind people of someone they know. Was once standing in line at a bank ATM. Chick in front of me turned around and said, "oh, it's you!". Then she started swinging her hips, raised her arms and started singing a crazy impromptu song: "fuck me, fuck me, fuck me fuck me fuck me,...etc". I knew I was on video, so I just stepped back and waited till she left the building. Weird.

1 pointDropped into Barb's (11/22) around 1:30 and found a fairly large crowd, at least in comparison to my (not so) recent visits. Unfortunately, I'm not sure that the CR was as busy as the club in general. As usual, things began to slow down a bit after 2:00. A number of familiar dancers were there as well as a few who were new to me. Among the latter were the very lovely Mina (sp.?) and the extraordinarily tall and leggy Stacy Jones. Someone near the bar apparently decided it was to be 'duo day' and within about an hour we were treated to three onstage duos. The first was Kitty and, I think, Mia (or was it Claire?) and then Jenny joined Claire onstage and again, shortly after, Claire climbed on the stage during Jenny's second turn. Claire and Jenny's onstage interaction was especially playful. As always, Jenny was a captivating vision and great to chat with as she related her recent globetrotting adventures. I didn't notice Ariel but she may have arrived later as suggested above (I departed around 3:30 or so).

-
1 pointI do incalls 95% of the time and I always have a shower when I arrive whether I actually need to or not - on occasion even after the SP has said it wasn't necessary. I think it serves to boost my confidence and the confidence of the SP. It also serves as an indication that I am concerned about this aspect of our encounter and I am determined to get it right.

1 pointTime for another goddess! Today... Georgiana! If you haven't met her, you can probably tell from her posts here how intelligent she is, and from her pics you can tell that she looks damn good in her underwear :) But she's also a lovely person, and a huge amount of fun to spend time with. Also, she's a very talented web designer. Her own site is lovely... but she's put together some fantastic websites for other CERB ladies, too.

Quite clearly, there are some here who have taken a certain view of contributions of frequent and infrequent posters, and recent and not so recent ones. Others will take them for what they are... The OP asked a simple question, to which simple answers were provided. With luck, the OP will be able to find the lady in question again, if she is still active. Best, toine
