26 pointsWow, Murphy and his law need to screw off!! I have had a HORRIBLE day (with other server techies) trying to get this darn webserver back online after a automated security update last night. The server updated some software (suppose to do that) but while doing it maybe the server rebooted or something cause it failed and and basically shut everything off. It's back and with any luck it stays online. If you find any problems PLEASE let me know as I suspect other stuff will need fixing after this one. (Think we are getting the entire years worth of server crashes all this month so with any luck the rest of the year is golden!)

10 pointsSo... let's review: A guy asking an SP to provide Viagra or any other prescription ED drug is asking her to break the law in a major way. Guys - don't do that. If you have any questions about ED pharmaceuticals, go back and reread SamanthaEvans' post. She did a very good job of succinctly covering the hows and whys of ED drugs. Regarding guys being shy about talking to their doctor about ED - hello? This guy just had his finger up your butt! He says he's checking your prostate. Uh huh. They all say that. And now you're going to get shy about telling him Willy sometimes dies out too soon? Tell him. Two reasons. One, like SamanthaEvans said, it may be a symptom of more that just getting older. Two, once you get your meds and figure out how to work them, life will be so much more fun. :) Full disclosure: I take them. The doc didn't bat an eye when I brought it up (no pun intended). I tried Viagra. It worked. Kinda, sorta.. I mentioned this to him the next time I saw him and he switched me to Cialis. It works much better for me. Oh yes it does. :) I get mine from the pharmacy down the street. We have an arrangement. They give me drugs but no BBBJs. My SP gives me excellent BBBJs but no drugs. That works pretty well for me.

9 pointsAllyson, I have had men ask me to provide Viagra and I have always refused. There are very important reasons for this to be a prescription medication obtainable only through a qualified doctor or nurse practitioner. Viagra influences the performance of the cardio-vascular system which is not something to fool around with under any circumstances. One of my clients had bypass surgery about 18 months ago and was only approved to resume using Viagra a year later, after he'd lost 75 pounds and achieved a particular level of cardiac health and performance. There are several drugs available for treating Erectile Dysfunction (ED). They have different side effects and are of greater or lesser benefit for different people. Levitra, for example, is the one most commonly prescribed for men who have diabetes. Most of my clients are men in their 50s, 60s and 70s and a lot of them take Viagra or one of the other medications. The drugs work very well. If I know that a prospective client will be using one of them I usually ask them not to take it until we're together in person. It takes awhile for the drug to work, but everyone is different. I've found it's best if the man takes it and then we relax together and let things move along naturally. If the man takes the drug before he arrives at my place, we may miss the most optimal time to connect; the results can be disappointing after that. Men who seek an alternate supply of medication for ED need to know that the drug may not be appropriate for them and that what they might receive may not be the drug they need. Off-shore, mail-order pharmacies have been shown to be unreliable about the truth and quality of many of the medications they sell. Some men are reluctant to ask their doctors about medication for ED. Most of them have never told their doctors that they're experiencing erectile difficulties. This is troubling because problems with erectile function may be symptoms of vascular disease, diabetes and other serious, chronic and/or potentially life-threatening conditions. While I understand that men often have difficulty admitting to other men that they have erectile problems, what they need to know is that all men have difficulties sometimes and that their doctors have seen many men who are younger and better-looking than they are who have ED and seek treatment. Asking for this kind of thing is one of the main reasons most men see their general practitioners in the first place. And if a man is worried that his doctor may discuss his ED and his request for treatment with his wife, he needs to find another doctor who he can trust.
-
5 pointsMy suspicion is that this sort of thing should probably be left to doctors. I believe Viagra can react badly with some other medications or medical conditions (not sure what, off the top of my head), so things could perhaps become rather less than fun if you gave it to someone who shouldn't have it... I can't believe any reasonable person would expect a SP to provide little blue pills, so there's probably no downside to just not doing so. And unreasonable people will just find something else to be unreasonable about even if you did :)
-
4 pointsIt can react to some medications. And some prescription medications can affect erections. Also, as I discovered, if you have a family history of strokes, Viagra (and Cialis) are contra indicated. Only your doctor knows your medical history and can prescribe medications for you safely. I'm not sure, but someone not qualified to prescribe and/or dispense prescription medications could in fact be breaking the law by giving prescription meds to someone, without a prescription. If you think you need Viagra, get a prescription from your doctor and get the prescription dispensed by a licensed pharmacist As a side note, there are other options...THAT WORK :-) Me, I use L-Argenine. No side effects, well just one :-) It is safe with my prescription, and no negative side effects that are reported with Viagra I posted about it early http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=98245&highlight=l-arginine My evening rambling RG

4 pointsI do remember life and being in this business with no cerb and no sense of community in general. Yeah, it was sucky.lol. A special thanks to the Mod for creating such a great place to go to with no b.s. :)

3 pointsI just read this entire thread and am slightly shocked by the above comment (particularly the bolded part) from the original post...shocked not only by the comment itself but also shocked that no one else seems to have picked up on this...Would requesting a review not be considered borderline shilling? Should SPs not treat EVERY client with the potential to be reviewed/recommended? I don't REQUEST reviews per say, but if I'm asked by a client if it is OK to post one; surely it is! But would I request it? LORD NO! Asking to be reviewed/recommended takes away from the act itself, imho. If a gentleman feels a particular lady deserves a reco, he will give her one. If it was requested by the SP, well...that just takes away the integrity. It might be a positive reco, but made on false pretenses as perhaps the gentleman never would have of his own free will as the service was perhaps mediocre and normally he only reco's those who were stellar....but since he was asked to he feels compelled....sorry, end rant.

3 pointsDear Mod, I am so sorry for having crashed your server. I realize that you did warn me about what all of the increased traffic to my account would do and I truly regret that I ignored your warning. I really believed that the traffic from all of those women would slow down, but alas, it did not. I will understand if you feel a need to suspend me for a period of time. In fact it may be a blessing because since you restored service my PM's have only increased but now my mailbox contains hundreds of angry PM's from gentlemen who were deprived of Cerb for an extended period of time. Believe me that they are NOT addressing me as mrrnice. I can start my own Mr Men club. mrrwhothe helldoyouthinkyouare, mrhowcouldyoudothistome, mrgetalife, mrihopeyouarehappy, and those are the nice ones. If it will help I will post a picture in a day or two of the walk in closet that is close to bursting at the seams so that the message gets out to the interested women that their opportunity has come and gone. Again my sincere apologies. Gotta go as I am being called to my bathtub built for two. Regards, MN2

3 pointsYes I do travel to Sydney on a regular basis. I have other reasons to go there, if not it might not be worth while. We are asked and asked to visit, we do and after several visits a decision must be made. Gentlemen if you ask us ( not just me) please support us when we invest a considerable amount to do so. Thank you.

2 pointsDidn't realize how much time I spend on Cerb each day, until the last couple of months when Chat went down for a day or two. Could not chat with friends for a couple of days while it was being repaired. Then in January the Cerb server crashed and was going up and down, and I couldn't contact a Girl I was interested in. Then one night Rogers Internet went down for 2 hours, The family went thru withdraw, the kids could not do their homework, watch youtube, chat with friends. I couldn't chat on Cerb :(. I've become addicted to cerb, reading the interesting post, chatting with friends on Cerb Chat. Imagine what life would be like if Cerb disappeared? :( How would that affect your life ? Also I would like to thank the Mod for a great job on keeping the Cerb server up for us Cerbie's and for maintaining a great site for all to enjoy. Keep up the good work. And I appreciate all your efforts :)

2 pointsI will be organizing the next Ottawa social for both male and female CERB members in good standing on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Ottawa. Since this is being organized by CERB members for other CERB members, please do not bother the MOD about this event. It will be held a centrally located venue in Ottawa. It will be in a reserved room of a public bar/restaurant. It will run from approximately 6:30 p.m. until closing time. There will be a variety of music played and dancing will be encouraged. There will be a limit of 60 spots available (ideally 30 gents/30 ladies), on a first-come, first-served basis to those members in good standing who have some presence on the board or in the hobby (if you have a low post count, but good rep, that's all we care about). There will be a cost for gents to attend and tickets will be available starting now. You will be able to pay by e-mail money transfer, postal money order or cash (in person). The price of the tickets will be $40. This is to cover drinks for the ladies, appetizers, door prizes and other expenses associated with organizing these events. There will be no cost to the ladies to attend, however you will have to confirm 3 days before the event that still intend on coming due to the fact we always sell out and end up with a waiting list. If you didn't get a chance last time, you will be given first priority. I am looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. This is a meet and greet social event in a public venue (no hanky panky ) and as with past events, expect all attendees to behave accordingly. Remember, CERB members from all across Canada (and elsewhere) are welcome to attend. If you think you might like to join us, feel free to pm and let me know. Angela of Ottawa Your humble social organizer.

2 pointsAn old flame/current drinking buddy has been super healthy for years and years and never got the flu. Got the flu shot this year because her doc convinced her that she was getting older and needed it. What happened? Well, sure enough, she got the flu of course!
-
2 pointsFor your own safety and privacy and discretion for yourself and your guests, it is never a good idea to share the details of your location (current or future) publicly ;)
-
2 pointsFor discretion purposes, the email I use to receive e-transfers is a professional email address that has nothing to do with "Gabriella Laurence" or this lifestyle. No red flags anywhere.
-
2 pointsPrecisely. That's exactly what I was getting at with my comments in regards to body type being irrelevant. And just so we are clear, "skills" in this industry go far beyond sexual capabilities. Let's be honest, would you see the girl who "screws best" if she was addicted to crack and wanted to get high during your sessions, a lady who makes you feel unsafe by having other questionable adults or children present at the time of your encounter? Those are just 2 of the many, many, many different examples of how things like personality, demeanor & attitude, lifestyle, mutual respect, discretion, (the list can go on) many things come into effect when an SP provides you with a "service".... And to clarify : Do not mistake my personality and attitude as the same thing. My personality is WHO I AM, my attitude depends on who you are. DISCLAIMER: YMMV.
-
2 pointsA reco being made, imo, should never be brought up by the SP, only by the client when he asks if it's ok (which on a side note I think getting permission is cute but not necessary re: freedom of speech). But you're saying she simply stated permission to, that's a bit different than requesting.... I guess. But really and truly, she is being suggestive, which to me is still a form of soliciting a reco from you. Still considered to be in poor taste, by me (just mho). There are no "Rules" in this business, aside from legalities of course, every lady makes her own rules.

2 pointsNot to come off as being rude, but I find the OP's reasoning for hobbying to be somewhat vexing and disturbing. I am sure the wonderful ladies on here see it all the time, men who come to them who are obviously married who just don't find their wive's attractive anymore or just looking for something different, but I find it odd to state that they don't get any and is being forced to go and pay to sleep with another person. No one is forcing you to do anything, especially when it comes to hobbying. You are electing to hobby as a result of your supposed complete lack of sex life within your marriage, which to be quite honest, you might want to consider spending some of your hobby money on a family therapist to discuss this or better yet bring it to her attention. Will most likely save you money in the long run and you will have a healthier relationship out of it.

2 pointsThis is in response to the many PM's I'm getting about contact info. Her ad is on CL look under services then go to therapeutic. Her ad has (st vital) as the location. Hope that helps
-
2 pointsThere seems to be a lot of inconsistency for the ladies visiting Sydney. Some of them have had excellent responses such as Keissy Hennesey, Aubrey from PEI while others have gotten little to no response. I think they should have a decent amount of pre bookings from established clients or not visit at all. Just my two cents....
-
2 pointsThe Cerb Server was down, and i suddenly suffered withdraw pains. What if it didn't come backup. How I was I going to chat with my friends :( Anyone feel the same way :) Great Job Mod for getting the server backup ASAP. We are glad that we have someone as technical as you. Thanks Job Well Done. :)

2 pointsLook at this. You may have seen it before, but not like this: That's not a photo; it's a pencil drawing. So are these: The artist has a blog, which is worth a look. What really impressed me was his series of snapshots of the work-in-progress that became... this.
-
2 pointsI always suggest that you call or contact the sp a good 24 hours in advance, and definitely call between 'normal' day time hours to find out. You might have to visit one time at what people might call a reasonable hour, but depending on what time of day you are into, it should work out. I have to say I'd recommend against contacting the ones whose ads say 24/7 the main thing is don't wait until midnight for a first contact.
-
2 pointsOne would like to believe that bbfs is not on anyone's menu, but the fact is that it is. And how can one not make the obvious link between what used to be unavailable 10 years ago to the point of laugh in face if requested, is now so 'common'. And all that in spite of the fact that testing is easier, and information is really easier considering majority of advertising is done on the internet, so is the information about stds and yet they still do it. But what we also see from one decade to the next are a lot of foreign workers in the system, bringing their 'style' so to speak. and their style is based on a different level of acceptability. Then new but local sps get into the biz, they read ads to see what to do or not do, and they see all that stuff on the table and assume that is what they have to do. Which is fine because they also have no idea where to find std risk charts like this one either. http://www.sfcityclinic.org/stdbasics/stdchart.asp Greek and duos and dato also never used to be even considered appealing, let alone offered, and yet there they are :) No matter what the sp provides, there is always someone going to ask for somethng she doesn't. And those influence what ends up on the menu down the road I think. I am all for decrim and regulation because believe me there is NO way Occupational health and safety commissions are going to allow bbbjs with or without CIM.
-
2 pointsI think not my friend.. Your opening post (August 2012 and since removed) sort of outed this girl, she's hasn't been advertising for months and now you want members to pm you information about her.. Hmmmmm... very very suspicious (s.t.a.l.k.e.r. a.l.e.r.t)

2 pointsThe one time I did get the flu shot, that year, actually within hours of the getting the shot, I got the flu In general I'm relatively unscathed by the flu or colds (touch wood) Only exception was last year when I didn't get the flu, I got what was called by the doctor a major viral infection which flattened me on my back for most of March and I wasn't back to 100% till mid April. And I should add I work in what a high risk environment for catching bugs, much like teachers in school or health care professionals in hospitals, a lot of people in a relatively small closed area...yet I'm still unscathed. In fact this year in my office, which has five people, four got sick this past fall, me, nothing. RG
-
2 pointsI do not believe in the flu shot.. I believe your body is meant to fight off these sorts of things and I have a strong immune system. I can't remember the last time I had the flu or a really bad chest cold. I am also a germaphobe and wash my hands or take showers so many times a day that my knuckles bleed because my hands get so dry from all the washing. I also make it a point that if I've been out in public to not touch my eyes, nose or mouth until I have washed them with soap and water. And I've also got hand sanitizer with me at all times. I've seen people get the flu shot and then immediately get sick. I know someone who got the flu shot and right now has bronchitis and is sick as a dog. The last time I remember getting a head cold was in the summer and was driving with the A/C on full blast and then stepping out into the heat. Then I was better in a few days. If I do get sick, I rest and take the time to get better. That's all you can do..with or without a flu shot.

1 pointShe's a new member who posted in the NS section recently. Also saw her on --------, sent an email, received pics and they are not her. All 7 images sent were cropped pictures from various sites. At least 2 of the full images are different girls. The response email was more than enough to tell its not a real escort. Reads the same as a Nigerian email. Hope this helps someone

1 pointImagine the gov't prohibiting bbbjs and DATY and labelling it an "Occupational Hazard"? Oh, the horror! IMO, I don't see a Conservative gov't wanting to get into the sex lives of Canadians let alone sex workers and their customers in the future so it is up to us as a whole to be responsible and be proactive about staying safe. However, it is very scary that there are some STDS like gonnorrhea will become resistant to antibiotics and really can't forsee society in general 'barebacking' it like they did back in the day in this business. Society has made too many strides in being effective about using protection whether it's through social media, charities, organizations about safe sex and all the dangers that come along with it. Can we really change the minds of those who grew up being told to use condoms and all the STDs out there these days? I don't know but in some ways that's like trying to turn a Republican into a Democrat!
-
1 pointThank you Samantha, that is exactly the kind of information I was hoping for. The question itself has always made me uncomfortable and was hoping I wasn't the only one. To me I always considered it like any other drug, although I don't mind someone using it, the thought of providing it or being asked to always bugged me. Not to mention how would an SP actually obtain it with out breaking lots of laws, I like what I do to be legal.

1 pointI used to be a young pup... ... but I have grown to discover that the quintessential advantage of age is looking backward fondly and sometimes not so fondly at life experiences. In short, young guys haven't learned from their fuck-ups because they haven't had enough fuck-ups from which to learn. When I was a young guy, I mistakenly thought that what defined me as a man was the presence of a penis that could snap to attention at will.... that and the fact that I could fill the whole toilet bowl with bubbles when I peed with great force... but I digress. I now understand that what defines the true man exists about three feet north (or 91 cm for you young bucks.) I was cocksure and swaggering when I was young... but I failed to realize that the reality of a sexual experience was the subtlety of movement, the touch of flesh, the art of seduction and the absolute joy of intimate companionship. In fact, I was "zip, zip, grope, grope, lick, lick and BAZINGA!!! insert tab A (penis) into slot A (vagina) thrust, thrust AHHHhhhHHHHHhh. (repeat every 20 minutes.)" It was satisfying... but nowhere near as satisfying as what I experience today. I talk now. I laugh. I enjoy the whole experience and appreciate it more because I am older. I love being with a complete woman now... where before it was just a few parts that were of particular interest. I guess the long and short of it is that I have learned a lot since the late 70's... and now I know that it's more than just about my penis, and my desires.

1 pointThis! I find it amazing that every woman has to post big warnings saying, "Don't show up dirty or stinky or whatever." Seriously, WTF? I could never imagine showing up to meet ANY woman being any less than my best. I'm going to be clean, nice smelling, well dressed, polite and on time or die trying. I can't imagine what some guys could possibly be thinking.

1 pointIn my perfect world for a service provider, sex work would be valued as a legitimate job that takes skill, intuition and all kinds of smarts in order to succeed. Everyone would be able to work safely wherever and however they wanted, as long as they weren't harming others. All reasons for deciding to enter the industry would be considered valid (as long as it's a fully consensual decision, obviously), and anyone who wanted to leave the industry, for whatever reason would be fully supported in doing so and moving on. Elementary school teachers wouldn't be fired because of one naked picture of them found on the internet from 20 years ago. No one would be considered a bad mother/lover/partner/friend/person because they are a sex worker. People wouldn't be labeled as sex offenders because they enjoy giving and receiving pleasure for money, and clients wouldn't be made to feel like bad people for valuing a service and the service providers so much that they believe they're worth paying for. I'm sure a giant canopy bed and a never-ending collection of red lace underwear would be nice too, but anything more than what's above just seems like icing on the cake to me...

1 pointAnecdotal stories aren't going to change another person's mind. Get it or don't get it, that is your choice or it would be mandated. However, do some critical reading, and be aware of the reasons behind vaccinations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herd_immunity (I am not saying that wikipedia is a good example, but this is a good explanation of herd immunity ;) ) Also, this is fun: http://www.historyofvaccines.org/ Now for my anecdote: of my coworkers, those who got the vaccine and got the flu had a much milder illness, whereas those who didn't were off sick for quite some time with more severe symptoms.
-
1 pointI like getting the flu shot, but I've learned to (at least try,) not care if other people get it or not... I think I might do some research into what type of a virus flu actually is though, as my thoughts on viruses (such as HPV, Herpes, HIV) are mainly that they're not as easily combated by our bodies... they stay with us. With bacteria (as far as I know) you do, technically, have a chance to fight it off... Not that I would want someone to try and fight off say, gonorrhea without medication-- but what I know of viruses is that it would be easier to fight off gonorrhea without medication than it would be to build a true immunity to flu. I think everyone is within their rights to not get a flu shot-- or any sort of medical intervention... but it does make me worry sometimes that people might take similar stances on STDs someday, thinking they should just try and fight it off rather than get treated properly. Addition: I found this really interesting article on what a virus actually is.. really cool & kinda scary all at the same time! Kinda like the Borg... http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/cellular-microscopic/virus-human1.htm

1 pointI'm with Sara and Emily on this one, over sterilization is dangerous. Until this year I followed the "If it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger and I'm too grumpy to die young" philosophy. I do keep my living areas clean but I'm not one to disinfected every touched surface in my kitchen. Bathrooms are a different story with showers being my weakness. My work spaces are sanitized, the rest of my house is clean. I received a flu shot this year for the first time as I have a friend who is ill and we have lots of contact so I figured it was the right thing to do for his safety. I don't get virus' so it has never really been a huge concern, I only worry about things I can see, not what I can imagine because my imagination left uncheck is crazy thing. When my children were small I would send them for sleep overs with kids that were sick so they would get the exposure and often they would come home as healthy as I'd sent them. Eating dirt and getting sick is a necessary part of childhood imo if you want them to grow up strong. The immune system is an amazing thing and as adults we walk a fine line between exposing it to what it needs to keep it strong and staying healthy... cat
-
1 pointI am a non believer in it, the one year I had it I ended up with pneumonia not once but twice. I will never get it again and am against it. We never had vaccines for the flu or pneumonia when we were kids and we were fine, you need some germs to build your immune system and the flu shot to me is just like a light cover, it wont prevent anything, just prolong the inevitable of eventually getting sick. PLus has anyone ever thought of what the long term effects maybe - every drug or immune altering thing has a long term effect. Why put anything else into your body when in this day and age we take in more than we did 20 years ago. Get your rest, drink water, eat healthy, wash your hands and for gads sake cover your mouth when you cough. I say use at your own risk.
-
1 pointI think that the flu shot is a lot of baloney , they just inject you with a mild strain of the flu to get your body used to fighting of the bug , stay active fit and healthy and you shouldnt need it , I only got one a few years back and that was the year that i had it the worst ( just my opinion ) also it could be a conspiracy thing to take over the world .
