I have been wanting to participate on this discussion but time has not been on my side as well as I wanted to read some of the other members opinions I am one of the people that shouts the most.. if not the Most and YES 90% of the time is to advertise... Unlike some of you think or state is not out of desperation.., as I keep myself busy..., is not secret to anyone... is simply the fastest way to let my clients know where I am.. I move around from locations even in the same day... not everyone can access the entire site so is just a lot easier for them to find out where to find me... Also for the same reason that I have little time.. is a fast way fo advertising for me.. takes me 30 secs... Some times I dont have the chance to post an entire add... Shout Box is a tool that I have decided to use for my advantage.., I dont brake the rules... I am very careful when it comes to that... also when I am off (weekends) I will so non work related shouts...

I've often found that statement confusing too. Especially when someone is asking about an appointment then asks if I'm a clock watcher. ?? My rates are based on time and I can break them down into 15 minute chunks. So just book for the amount of time you want. We'll spend it all. And if we don't and you leave early, I'll be happy to rebate you to the price of the actual session length. I've done it many times. But in the back of my mind, when someone asks me this, I wonder if he's poking around to see if it's possible to pay for a shorter session, but get more time. Sadly, there are people who will do that, thinking that they've come up with this great original scheme. I don't watch the clock, but since my rates are based on time, I do expect to be paid for the time I spend. Just as you'd want to get the time you paid for. Sometimes things go a little over and sometimes a little under. Most SPs realize this, and there is some wiggle room built in. But we know the difference between a session that simply flowed over a bit and someone who's trying to take advantage. Just like we know that, if we get you in, grab your money and rush you out the door, you probably won't repeat. Have an honest heart, and trust your SP to too. We'll give you a reasonable benefit of the doubt.

Me, I choose to post silly shit there from time to time. Like tonight I posted about my very bad hair colouring job. I do take a skim through some of the posts looking for some silly posts from members or perhaps some witty ads that might make me smile. I'm all for the relaxed funny banter mixed with some ads here and there. I think that if more members chose to make posts then it wouldn't seem so dominated by ads.

When any of you use Tripadvisor do you only book with the hotel ranked first? I know I don't. I look at the general score, make sure I'm not choosing a dump, and read a few positive reviews and then a few negatives. From there I match the positive and negative with my set of prioritized criterias for what constitute a good trip for ME. For example: if the resort I'm interested in as bad reviews of it's beach and I mostly spend my time at the pool it won't deter me. However if they say the place is paradise but the food sucks and food is at the top of my list, well then I'll look elsewhere. I welcome the fact I can make an educated decision of spending my hard urned money based on MY set of critirias. And I'm sure the "good" resorts welcome the fact that the shady establishments aren't all bunched up with them making everybody look bad.

Before you get overly flamed for this, you should know that sps sending out solicitation type pms and messages etc is against the site rules. Sps place ads, and respond to direct communication. which means it is entirely up to you to read the ads/websites, recommendations and initiate communication yourself. We are not here to audition for a casting calls lol and it is unfortunate to mention that you may actually get some messages due to this thread but the sps you probably should be seeing are the ones who will not contact you and now not want to see you due to having to come up with some kind of over the top performance to impress you, and no one really likes that.

I've had people text me those kinds of negotiating questions and I say to them "Would you like to go to work for free today or have your boss tell you that you will only be paid X amount?" No I didn't think so! Don't negotiate. It's tacky and will not get you anywhere! Think about the outcome of all this...you go to see the SP and she is completely resenting you. You think you're going to get good service? I highly doubt it. This is why the better and more reputable SPs will NOT take whatever they can get. We actually care and take pride in our services and our rates are on par with that. We enjoy what we do for a living but at the same time we also have bills to pay, mortgages and other things to take care of . Don't mistake the fact that just because a person enjoys what they do has to accept a lesser rate. In fact, they should be getting paid their asking rate because the experience will be that much better. Taking an intimate encounter with a woman and turning it into all dollars and cents and what can you get for this or that completely cheapens the entire experience. If someone is looking for that, they can hit the streets and look there. You definitely get what you pay for!

I believe in tipping the pizza delivery guy, cab drivers, the waitress, the dog groomer, the hair dresser, the esthetician etc etc. But I would NOT tip the dentist- they're expensive sadists lol.

I always tip the pizza delivery guy a minimum of $6 as he is in the service industry. In restaurants, I tip over and beyond what is expected. Those people work hard and if the service is good, they deserve it.

One should always tip, yes. For me, generally 20% or more. Occasionally I have even tipped up to 50%. It can be a good feeling to see someone who is busting their ass and maybe having a shitty day get a big tip, and show them your appreciation. If I can afford it, then why not? Sometimes even when things go wrong, it's not even always that person's fault. Maybe the pizza took a long time, but it was the dudes at the pizza parlour dicking around. Or maybe he got stuck behind a traffic accident. Why should the driver suffer? Most of those service jobs live off their tips, and some of them even make a service wage which is actually less than minimum wage. Everyone has a bad day here and there, so I always give the benefit of the doubt, even if service isn't perfect. People who are shitty at service jobs usually have a way of weaving themselves out eventually anyways. Always tip! Pizza guys, servers, bartenders, hair stylist, taxi driver, mover, RMT, groomer... just about anyone who does something for you! :)

Tipping is never mandatory, but in the food services business it is very much part of the compensation for many. Some fast food places where you pick up, no, but home delivery absolutely. I would tip normal guidelines for restaurants, around 15% for the delivery guy.
