I would like to very politely disagree that hobbyists are at any significant risks. Most reputable providers take great care to ensure that there would never be any unpleasant souvenirs of your time. Really I must say and I am sure I will be echoed here , you stand a much higher chance of contracting a STD my meeting someone downtown. Fact, reputable ladies are tested regularly and are very careful about their sexual health. Personally speaking if you were to visit me with " sprays or ointments " I would not be receptive to this . I'm not sure if any ladies I know would enjoy being sprayed or have ointments rubbed on them. But perhaps there is something out there that I have not yet heard of . But be sure to warn any date if you plan to spray her with anything.

You have a greater chance of getting an STD / STI from a one-night-stand than you do from a professional escort. (But there is always a risk when having sex with another person). I have never hear of any sprays or ointments. That said, Always check with the SP before using such items. The following should be common sense for most people: Good personal hygiene - wash and inspect your privates daily. "Practice makes perfect" - Learn the correct way to put on and take off a condom - Practice, practice, practice - Yes, that means masturbating using condoms. Immediately after sex - remove the condom and wash your hands & genital area. Educate yourself about condoms - Some types of condoms only offer protection from pregnancy. You can still catch a STD / STI using a condom - But the risk is less. Educate yourself on what some of the STD's / STI's look like - Not all are visible. Dental dams may be used to perform oral sex on a woman. Following oral sexy use an antiseptic mouth wash. I know this thread is directed to the hobbyists so if I may say:)Life is risky! Driving your car, flying, riding a bike, eating food, all we do involves some level of risk and all anyone can do is take all precautions, don't fall prey to paranoia and have fun. To worry isn't a solution and the only way you can be 100% protected is to stay at home, wrapped in bubble wrap, lol. But on a serious note RG stated it best -abstinence is the only 100% safe sex. Any professional sp is going to do his or her utmost in maintaining their health, hence protecting yours. As far as ointments, sprays, I don't think so, but I did post an article about a vaginal ring that's being worked on that's supposed to be able to protect against herpes and hiv. I'm sure when it's fully approved it'll be news worthy and very much in demand. I'd like to also say that it's presumptuous to assume that sp's and hobbyists are at a higher level of risk than people outside this profession. We all take necessary precautions as our bodies/health are our livelihood. It does only take one time to contract something so no matter if your a virgin, sp or a lossy goosy because it's not how many it's which one!

It's a scam, one of the oldest ones around and it's practically effortless on the part of the scammer, at 25$ a pop they can make quite abit in a short period of time. Never give anyone any money in advance that you've nver heard of or dealt with previously and even then you should still be cautious. Keep in mind too it's not just being out 25 bucks but you've given the scammer lots of information that they can use to compromise your identity. 99% chance they aren't even in Kingston, easy way to check is to ask them where they are staying, they'll likely use a common name like a days inn or holiday inn, if they've done their research they might even know the address. Best way to catch them in a lie is to ask then if they are staying at the new one on such and such street, where you know there isn't one, most of the time they will say they are at the new one because it's new and perceived to be better, trust me this works every time I've challenged a cam scammer. Keep in mind too that they will place many adds in many cities at the same time for the same phone number so they don't always have time to look up the details so they will just go along with whatever you say. If you have to do anything more than leave the donation in an envelope then you are about to be ripped off plain and simple.

Try as I might I couldn't get up (life call commercial immediately sprang to my mind). Many people around, young'ins, my age, etc. NO ONE STOPPED TO HELP! As I finally realized that I should probably roll over onto my knees, a lovely woman stopped and offered her walker as a lever to get me up. Out of a ton of people over 5 minutes (OR MORE) she is the only one to show me kindness. I helped her shop for the St. Patricks day party she was having at her senior's residence. We had such a great time that I made a great big pot of Corned Beef and Cabbage and brought it over yesterday. Back to why I feel that the e-world may be ruining humanity....no one cares to help anymore! Everyone...hug someone today! Show someone, even if in a small way, that you care about all who surround you!

Why is it Canadians are always disappointed on the first day of Spring? Most of us have lived here all our lives and know that Spring generally arrives one month later than the calendar states. On a related rant... Why is it we forget how to drive in the snow at the start of every winter? Why is it we get surprised by the first snowfall and scramble to get snow tires installed? Why is it we tend to complain about the cold in winter and complain equally about the heat in summer? We should all live in a mall where everyday is nice, warm and dry.

The doctor said that I damaged the "S" bone in the wrist. That wrist bothered me for years. I had to wear a rigid brace for a long time - needed to keep it in a particular angle to aid in healing. Now when I turn my wrist a certain way a bone sticks out.

Nice to see this thread pop up again. A few years ago, apart from perhaps one TV show, I thought anything Canadian produced was...lacking. But I've started to see a lot of ambition and talent stay here instead of move south. One show that I haven't started, but has received rave reviews is Orphan Black. It's in the scifi genre. Another one that I really like is Continuum. Like OB, it's scifi. It's a little weak starting off, but it gets better as you go along. It's a really interesting twist on the whole good vs. evil story. I love what they've done, and I'm actually happy to be a fan of a Canadian show!

Someone mentioned Durham County, but it was a mini series, so the whole thing wrapped up (bad guy found) in that 2 seasons. It was a good premise.. I really like the series that wrap up. I thought Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was doing that, but it has come back, so nope. :) Continuum is back for season 3 this week, and Once Upon a Time (the original) as well. Trying to connect my mother to OUT since the Wicked Witch of OZ is on this season and Wizard of Oz is a big favourite of hers.
