For anyone who wants to send VIA mail, here is the link with the names, http://www.parl.gc.ca/parliamentarians/en/members also postage stamp free, address to: Name of Member of Parliament House of Commons Ottawa, Ontario Canada K1A 0A6 HERE IS MY FINAL COPY: I want to begin this letter with explaining why I have chosen old fashion regular mail rather then email. With the new Bill that has been presented, I do not feel safe or secure to give you my identity. I feel that is rather sad to be a Canadian and yet fear my government and law. Sadly, this Bill C-36 will produce many scared Canadians when needing help from local police and government offices. Also, other than what I have written below, I also want to point out a fact that some MP's may miss. It is about advertising and the sites that we use for advertising. Without our sites, our Law Enforcement will have a very difficult time finding those people who are underage and forced into the trade. From most of the bust that I see, it all begins with an advertisement for such terrible scenarios. I would think it is wiser to keep advertising so that LE do have a way to reach and help these people to safety. However, us adults that choose to be there should have the rights and freedom of speech and expression. I writing your office with great concern with the new C-36 bill that is being purposed. I am concerned for the safety of women/men in the industry, this bill is going to increase the risk level for women/men that are on the streets as well as anyone in the industry otherwise. With out the ability to communicate properly, we are putting ladies/men in the direct line of safety issues. Both Provider and client needs to know exactly what is being offered and what boundaries each provider has. With out communicating this, many may be raped, robbed, STD could rise and unwanted pregnancies may occur. At least with the old laws, women/men were not hidden so far into the shadows, and so when they required help, it was easy to find. But with this Bill, they will be so far removed that they will not be able to seek out help quickly. For indoor workers, this means we can not clearly state what we offer. Like for myself, I only offer some services. How can I now make sure my client understands this? What if he wants more than I offer and gets agitated? Am I going to now be in a situation that I can not handle and too scared to call the cops? What about ladies and men that work in an agency? What if these providers do not know yet how to work safely? Perhaps they are trying to get their life together, or off the streets? What if agencies now close because we can not advertise? These providers will end up on the streets! Where otherwise those providers would have worked safely, discretely and with dignity but will be on the streets and be in the range of much more degrading situations, drug abuse to cope, and just become criminals. I am not suggesting to allow great big " cat houses" to be opened up with flashing signs to welcome and entice you. I am talking about a couple of ladies or just one lady that is using her own space to work from. Indoors, where it is private, clean and not in the eye sight of those who do not agree with our choices. We need to be able to communicate and advertise properly to keep us safe in our homes. Our clients are NOT PERVS, as Peter Mackay has suggested. They are family men, lonely men, disabled men, voting men, tax paying men, some are married couples wanting to have a bit more fun in their marriage. Some are soldiers needing relaxation after being in the field! Some are just not good with the ladies and need some love too! Pervs are the ones who sell young girls, coheres and force them into this trade. We need to put our taxes towards these people who are breaking the laws that are already in place. Human trafficking, minors, pimping rings, exploitation is the where we need to enforce laws. Leave us ADULTS the right to decide what we feel is best for us. We are adults, consenting, clean and respectable members of our communities. Please stay out of my sex life and my bedroom.

Two annoying experiences today, that's it. I'm buying everything online now. 1: go to Best Buy to get a grad present for my friend's kid. She wants an iPad, great, they got them. Ask sales clerk to get one out of the locked cabinet. Then it goes crappy. "Have you heard about our protection plan?" Oh jeez not this BS again. I tell the kid I'm not interested and I just want the tablet please. No way. He launches into a spiel about how he is "not on commission"...as if that is supposed to make him seem more sincere. then tells me how great the plan is. I repeatedly tell him I am NOT INTERESTED but he keeps going. I try telling him my Visa card provides all the same benefits, I know protection plans are a scam and a moneymaker. I argue for at least ten minutes. Nothing gets through to him. Since he isn't listening to me I ask to see his supervisor. Who them starts the exact same crap all over again. He blatantly LIES about Visa coverage. So I have now been waiting over fifteen minutes for them to get the tablet out of the case and let me buy it. Patience is done. "Are you going to give me that tablet or not?" The kid smiles "I'm not going to let you buy it without a plan!" As if he is worried about my sanity. I leave, without the tablet. And am NEVER setting foot in Best Buy or Future Shop again. Round 2: Chapters Go for a Starbucks and browse books cause I am now in a foul mood. Find book I want, go to register. "Do you have a membership"...no I don't want one..."You get 15% off blah blah blah"...well why don't you skip the memberships and charge less? "It's so we can serve you better"....sure by data mining and selling my info. Screw that. No more Chapters/Indigo either, everything I want is on torrent for free or EBay for cheap. I used to like shopping but both of them literally drove me out of the store. And stores whine about poor sales. Fuck them.

Tomorrow is Father's Day, and I am excited to tell you about my father. Acadian French family, this man worked hard all his life! Left school in grade 3!! Nobody thought he would ever make it in life. They said " you have retardation, you can not have kids or they can be retarded too, you will not be able to work other then farm work" ( yes that is the language they used!) Off to the farm her went! Slaving over hay bundles, mucking out cow barns, doing whatever they asked of him. He remained there for many years, his family thought this was the best for him, as they did this in his day. He lived a miserable life on that farm, abused and neglected:( Spring forward to adulthood. He met my Mother, was love at first sight. They ran away, hopping trains all the way west. Came back east with my sister and married. He began a job with Canada Post, then later DND. He also ran 2 business, Carpet cleaning and commercial cleaning, ran a staff too! For a man who "was not suppose to make it life and retarded" he raised 3 daughters, worked everyday of his life to provide. Has a heart of gold and is a gentle as a kitten to those around him. Uneducated and illiterate. Some may say success is having comfortable and thick bank account. I say his success is exceeding beyond anything that others thought, always kept his pride, never a day with out a job ( still working BTW 66 yrs), and has the respect of all his daughters. He is my best friend, my hero and the one I call Dad!

Just wanted to say that after being on Cerb for 4 years and meeting many SP's and MA's over the years that I have learnt a lot about the women who have chosen the is path as a career. Most of them have chosen this career because they enjoy the independence and financial freedom that it can bring. But this job is not easier. Many of them have families or kids to support. University educations that they are trying to complete. This job is demanding as it involves many hours of marketing, emailing, posting ad's answering text and PM's. Trying to get hotel, schedule appointments. The women who are most successful at this job are the one's that truly enjoy their work and like to please their clients. I've met many of these women and have truly enjoyed my time with them time and again. This can be a stressful time as they need the time to prepare the room and prepare themselves for each encounter. Some day's it can busy and other day's not. Some day's they meet some really fun gentlemen and other days, maybe some creeps. Some have been robbed, or beaten up or cheated. Sometimes there no shows or other girls that make fake appointments. This is a hard job. Sometimes it is physically demanding. They give their most intimate moments. It takes a certain kind of woman to handle the emotions and sexual activities that this job may entail. One SP, told me that it's not the physical aspect that is tiring. But the emotional aspect. To be able to pretend to enjoy themselves when they are not. She was saying that in this job she had to be the giver all the time and that most of the men were takers. Her Job was to give them pleasure and most men just used her to get as much pleasure for themselves. These women deserve more, they deserve to be treated kindly and with respect. Respect their time and their contact protocol. Be a gentlemen and be clean. Do not try to negotiate their rates, or push them for more then they are willing to offer. Give them a massage to start, make it about them in the beginning. They may have had a hard day, and appreciated a little kindness and tenderness and relaxation. Talk to them, they are people also, not just objects of your lust. Treat them well and with respect and kindness. I've been told by them, that it doesn't matter how old or what you look like. As long as you are a gentlemen and clean, you will be treated well. Remember, that they are there to make you happy and are providing a very intimate service, so you should appreciate they company they provide. If the chemistry and connection are there, you will have a great time. If the connection is real, it pays to return for repeat sessions. I have repeated many times with many of the women, and have found that each session get's better and better, as you get to know each other and are more relaxed with each other. I have had several good friendships developed over the years and have maintained them. Just wanted to say this to thank you to the women of Cerb for the fun and kindness that they have given us men over the years. I hope to meet many more of you over the next few years if I can :) Remember guys. Be a gentleman, be clean and respectful and you shall be rewarded. Oh yeah, one more thing. The woman should always cum first :)

In the beginning I need a soft and constant type pressure, until my clit starts to swell and throb while it begins to radiate heat into my thighs right to my belly. Then, changing to a nice rhythm in a circular motion and a slow lick down and up ... Now my clit is swollen and full, it is the ultimate "lady boner" now. The true clit is poking out from her hood, and now you can suck it. Suck it gentle, then hard and back again to gentle. Meanwhile the tip of your tongue compress on top, and small flicks. Once I do reach my most pinnacle point of climax, I will grab you, digging fingers into your shoulders, tighten up and then here is the BIG MOAN...ahhhhh, exhale and convulse into a arched back. Once done, you better back up, cause I may turn into a praymanthis.......hahahaha JK!!! MMM, wow , hope my phone rings now LOL

Hi. My name is emiafish and I am a cunnilingus aficionado. In fact, I may be addicted to eating pussy. I've been hooked ever since my first fledgling attempt when I was a young lad. From what I've read on the boards, I'm not alone. There are a lot of muff divers out here. It has been my great honour and pleasure to have worshiped at the alter of womanhood of many women over the years. I've come to two conclusions. 1. Vagina are like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike. 2. No two women react in the same way to the same stimulation. So here is my question. How do you like to have your pussy eaten? Is your clitoris super sensitive from the start? Or does sensitivity build up during the session? Do you like the soft gentle approach or do you like the intensity and pressure to build as you approach climax? Do you like fingers? Some don't because of hygiene and safety issues. Do you like long flat tongue licks or quick flicks from the tip of the tongue? Do you like to be sucked? Lightly or with gusto? What about patterns and rhythm? Do you like your licker to stick with one style or do you like changes in pattern? Can you describe the sensations of the best head you've ever had? I have more than just an passing curiosity. Like many providers & clients, I strive to make our encounter as pleasurable as possible for my partner. Your candid feedback will serve as reference for those of us who seriously love to make oral love.

Yesterday was a difficult day. I received a text early that someone very close to me had a friend pass away. Then later, I found out someone who was an angel to my family when we needed it, who shared a birthday with me, who had also been suffering from cancer and fighting like a trooper, passed away at way too young an age. Now a real angel.

I am SO with you on this. If I could do ALL my shopping online I would. Except, at this time of year stores and malls are great places for watching pretty women in skirts and shorts.

"This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man." From that, you can see it goes without saying that I much prefer the genuine article. Communication beforehand tends to give a fair idea of what to expect at a first encounter with one of the wonderful CERB ladies and mostly enables me to make a good match for myself. Communication includes reading websites, posts etc. Experience using CERB helps too. We all, in our daily lives, and especially our working lives, adopt a role to a greater or lesser degree and we continue to play in that role even in difficult circumstances. It is in this "role" context I assess my experiences. And that's a fact of life. In most encounters there are two (sometimes 3) people intending to make the encounter as pleasurable as possible for each other. So, what does that take? And this is where the question of "faking it" comes into play. Believe me, I'm not expecting to send any lady I choose to spend time with into a "never-before-experienced-ecstatic-orgasm". I do expect that I will be able to give her some degree of pleasure from my company by my behaviour and attitude towards her; by "being me". And if my instincts have been "on", in terms of what I sense of the "character" (for want of a better word) of the person when I've made the decision to arrange a tryst with a particular SP, I get huge satisfaction from what I believe is a genuine experience of pleasure on their part from being in my company; from me "being me". More often than not I have experienced that "never-before-experienced-ecstatic-orgasm". I mean. at my age, each one has to better than the last. Right? And there have been occasions when there has been no orgasm achieved on my part. But, on account of the "character" of the lady I have been with it wasn't the crushing disappointment it would have been many years ago. And finally, as I believe that your reach should exceed your grasp, I still live in hope of succeeding in giving one, maybe just one (I have to be realistic here!) of my future companions a "never-before-experienced-ecstatic-orgasm" OK ladies - I've upped the ante here!!

Not to make light of things, but I'm safe then emailing/receiving emails as long as their are no children present....and I don't do it in front of police now Seriously, with ladies I contact, most don't advertise a menu of services, and I don't ask about what services offered...I ask about setting up a date, time, place etc. I wonder, this more thinking out loud, if ladies required a user name/password for someone to see their website. That way it is more a case of "members" viewing the website than the general public surfing the web Anyhow a quick off the cuff rambling off the top of my head working off only one cup of coffee...time for cup two RG

I hear you. I'm trying to think of the last time, or even when, I bought anything on-line. That may be a generational thing, I was in my 30s before I got a credit card and I used it as little as possible. I still do, but the usage increased over time. Inevitably you might say. In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, so it goes. And I try to avoid big franchise stores as much as possible. For example, I've always bought books at local, independent book stores and I think the extra cost is well spent. I have what I realise is not an entirely supportable bias against product from the US of A. It would take too long to explain that bias but someone of my age (SENIOR citizen) may have some understanding. However it is almost impossible to adhere to that so-called "principle" of mine. So I live with that particular sin of mine. I go to a local coffee shop where the proprietor serves behind the counter and is absolutely charming. And I suspect, without any objective evidence, that your experience with that sales clerk and manager have come about in Canada because of the influence of the US of A. Look what's happened to The Bay, to Eatons, and so many local Canadian stores. And look at what we got to replace those iconic Canadian stores - Wal-Mart, and now Target, etc. etc. etc I stand to be corrected, but it would take a whole lot to do so. Jeezus - maybe in my approaching dotage I've gotten to to be what I always dreaded to be - close-minded. Tell me it ain't so.

Don't get me started on Future Shop. They were, well the salesman was the one who told me when I went shopping for a computer (FS had a sale on at the time...$200 for a laptop) to me a bunch of crooks. I went to get the laptop, and he said yes, $200 for the laptop but something like $600-$700 for an operating system (Windows 8 btw, they should pay us to take it) WTF...didn't even finish listening to his spiel, just turned around, walked out, went to Costco, got a laptop for just under $400.00 Guess that's why I hate shopping too...unless it's something for a special friend, that I enjoy A rambling RG

Unfortunately I was never really close to my Dad until a few months before he died. At least I was able to get closure with him as did he..may he rest in peace. For a French Canadian with a grade 9 education who did not speak a word of English when he joined the Air Force, I think he did pretty good in life. I can see him happy and fishing with my favourite Uncle up in that fishing boat in the sky. Happy Father's Day, Dad. Miss you and love you. A

Finding out that I am overdrawn at the bank. Learning that someone else screwed up and took two payments out of my account instead of one. I have to pay the penalty fees. Since I can not cover the funds before the 27th. Why is it my fault that someone else made the mistake? Why is it impossible to reverse the charges/payment when the mistake is clearly someone elses? They say they can fix the problem so it does not happen next month. BUT the financial penalties ($146+++) incurred now are my problem!!! WTF!!! The bank tells me I do not qualify for overdraft protection. WTF!!!

I can see for some how they would be beneficial, but for me, as a touring gentleman LOL living in smalltown Ontario I have found they aren't beneficial to me in arranging dates. I'm further ahead contacting a lady, and scheduling an encounter at a future date that works well for both of us And contacting a lady ahead of time to book an encounter also allows the lady the time to pre screen/verify me. But that's just me A morning rambling RG

Well this bill has already been complicated by today's Supreme Court Of Canada decision http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=182967 And as I have argued already, police are going to focus their resources on street prostitution. It takes relatively few law enforcement "bucks" to get a lot of "bang" (ie arrests, convictions) whereas now requiring a warrant to access a internet users information from a Internet Service Provider needs a lot of investigative resources and information/evidence to show a court to get a warrant to access a user's information Would be a lot of bucks for very little bang Police departments are bureaucracies and like any other bureaucracies they are given budgets and spend it as they best see fit. My prediction is the focus will be on street prostitution And don't think, as much as MacKay et al are ideologically driven, that this decision won't be reflected in the final bill/law. RG

I can be no other person except myself (everyone else is taken) because to do so doesn't show any self love. Sex, sensuality and connection are very intimate things and for me, I need to be personally involved in the moment to give them meaning and energy. I give no less then 100% of myself each and every time whether it is reciprocated or not. To me, sexy, beautiful, erotic etc. are a package deal: inside and out. You can't have a beautiful sexy outside if your inside is flat and emotionless. You can have an amazing inside which influences what others see on the outside. As Brad said, it isn't unauthentic to not fully disclose or share everything, it is human nature. We all reserve parts of ourselves for certain people, situations or even just for ourselves. We may temper our true nature for the person we are with but that doesn't mean they are not getting the authentic person; we all have nuances to our personalities and desires. I think most people are interested in an authentic experience with a real person and if they don't feel they are receiving that, they move on. I'm sure there are plenty of fly-by-night SP's who believed they could just show up and not give of themselves and many clients who felt there was no involvement or connection. We're human, touch and connection is part of our need and within that we like to feel valued.

I only go to stores where i can get in and out without walking 3 blocks to the milk section, then 3 blocks back to where to buy it, and then still have to put it in the bag myself after paying for it. So while i may not only select the owner operated store, I am more likely to be in Waves over Starbucks. It's a chain, but a small one. Dollarama, not Walmart, etc, in a small mall (one floor, 10 shops) not a metropolis mall. I have a friend who when he finds something he is looking for at a particular store, even BB or FS or (hey those are funny!) or LD (London Drugs), he simply returns to the same location, to the same person. He'll call to see when that person is working, and goes back to work only with them. I think the clerks encountered in the OPs example are pushed by employers to do all that. In some places, failure to say certain things can lead to problems for the employee. i think they should have backed off once they asked and you answered of course.

Hey there, If you have ever wondered what it would be like to be massaged by a male and a female at the same time, or have a couple massage you while pleasuring one another, or perhaps you would like to watch what unfolds... We offer a very unique experience at a very great location. Escape the mundane aspects of every day life and come into our realm of endless possibilities. Come in to our up scale private location and let us show you what we do best. Feel our four hands working in sync to take out all the aches and pains of life. You get the strength of a male with the sensuality of a women and everything in-between... We would start the session off with the both of us undress you before all 3 of us get into one of our very large and nicely finished showers, where we would then both soap you up and make sure you are all clean before getting dirty... We would then proceed to the table where the real fun would begin. Whatever you can imagine can become reality sooner then you think :) We offer incalls at a very nice location in the West-end of town. We could be available for out calls as well. The location is very well kept with a professional atmosphere. We would be available for out calls as well. We are open to males, females and couples! Street work will always be the focus, doesn't matter what they do or don't do with this bill. It is just easier. You could see how much $$ and effort went into the January sweep, for very little in the way of results. maybe they learned to figure out how to get better results from looking at online advertising because of the mistakes they made in that operation. But when you contact 330 sps across the country based on their advertising, and find one single one under 18, and one other one in a coercive (according to them) situation, then you are obviously going to stick with what you know, the cheaper focus on sex work where you know you can arrest 20 people in one night with 5 cops.

NO! NO! NO! It is NOT being used to protect CP, that is what Harper wants you to think. The Tories will likely be saying anyone who objects to the bill is a molester. Vic Toews said exactly that. Funny though, he was pissed off when someone posted public records about his ugly divorce online. The Tories want privacy for themselves but not for anyone else. Too careless/lazy to follow proper procedure, they could have got one but did not take the time to do so.

There are some wonderful spinners in this region. Some of these are Peachy ( 5'6"), Isabella Gia (5'2"-3"), Amy Burns (5'2" ?), and Nikky Fox (5'2") who visits often from Montreal. But I think the "smallest" that fits your description will be Hannah Star ( 4'12") http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=73667

Well, first of all the initial question is a moot point because this is not the Nordic model. It is way way worse and for sex workers as well as clients. One can always change their minds, as I have done in the past, but I believe that I have decided upon a course of action. Whether it is in fact practical will be determined by what this new proposed law REALLY means, and what the police do with it. My rationale for what I am thinking is multifaceted but primarily two fold. First, as much as I respect what many have said about the police not doing serious enforcement, and not having budgets to do so, in my situation I do not believe that to be the case. In a larger city such as Ottawa then I probably would agree with that. I am in PEI however, a very small place with a very conservative population. ( I don't mean politically). Under direction of Charlottetown city council I could see the city police being directed to take action. It would make a lot of people VERY pleased to see that PEI is indeed upholding its, values`, and is nothing but a family vacation spot. Whereas we are such a small market and there are very few women that travel in here, it would be nothing for a single officer to track her from our little airport and from there get to her clients. I`m not a cop and I am sure that I could do that simply by following the advertised dates of availability.` The second factor in my tentative decision is based on the advertising provisions which are really yet to be clarified. Mr MacKay was very clear at his press conference that he considers the internet to be a public space and therefore will be inaccessible for advertising. IF, and that may be a big if, he is correct, then really it will be impossible to know when a lady is planning a trip and even then illegal for both of us ìf we communicate. I honestly do not accept that new code words or offers of free sex are going to hold water in a court room. Finally, I went about fifteen months between Cerb dates, so for me celibacy is a viable, though not preferred, option. :( After all of that preamble what I am thinking is a variety of things. First, any encounters I may have will not happen on PEI. If ANY of what I said above is true then PEI will neither be a safe place to be a client nor a safe place to be an SP, in a legal sense. Secondly, because of the communication ban, even presuming that advertising is allowed, it would be impossible for me to clarify ahead of time with someone that I don`t know and who does not know me what my preferences are, what her preferences are, and so on. Therefore it would be walking into a situation blind which is not something that I would enjoy and I`m guessing that the SP would not enjoy. Finally between now and the time that this law really appears that it is going to become real, then it would be nice to communicate with a few women that interest me and have our chance to talk while it is legal. That being said, how many SP`s are going to be interested in emailing and communicating with some client named MN2 when there is no date fixed, no time period planned and all only on the chance that I might follow through! Women that I have met before will probably be the ones that I choose to contact. The whole thing sucks. And yes, this image is for what all of you are out there thinking. :)

I am dubious as to whether Service Canada actually sent reps on official business. My guess? It was a bunch of boys from the closest Service Canada office just talking it up with the dancers. Service Canada would not have any jurisdiction either in the dissemination of information nor the enforcement of any future laws stemming from C36. Local police would enforce the laws, Department of Justice and the Minister of Public Safety would handle the community outreach.

A few initial thoughts on this. Full disclosure: I've read Pivot's analysis of it, but not the bill itself (I've scanned the bill, and it's basically impossible to follow unless you're already familiar with existing legislation). Anyway... ...yes, it's bad, but I see no reason to panic. The sky is not falling, despite the government's wish to drop it on us. As Gia noted, this is not a final bill; it's an opening bid in a political process. Some provisions in there will be things the government really wants to make happen, but some will be stuff that's there purely to be negotiated away so that the government can claim they're being reasonable. Yes, the government has a majority... but negotiations will still take place and compromises will happen. An aside: given the government's current relations with the SCC, I can't help but wonder how much of this is less about sex work than Harper just wanting to deliver a solid "Fuck you" to the court. Obviously sex workers and their clients are just collateral damage here... On communication: it still talks about "any place", and the Internet (including email) is still not a "place". On advertizing: does the law prevent the hosting of ads, or just the placing of them? The former is completely unenforceable; contrary to what some others have said in this thread, anything outside of Canada is beyond the jurisdiction of Canadian courts, as are any servers physically located in another country and run by a non-Canadian company. So, to pick three more enlightened countries at random: if we set up cerb.de, hosted on servers in New Zealand by an Australian company, the courts here are powerless. And for those who disagree with me on that... think for a moment about Wikileaks. Think about Edward Snowden and Glenn Greenwald, and what they've published between them. Think about the stuff they've put online, and how much it has pissed off the most powerful and technologically advanced nation in the world... and on a subject far more important to The Powers That Be than sex work could ever become. Can they stop it? Can they shut those people down? Of course not, or they would have already done so. Given that, do you really think the Canadian government will be able to kill a board like this if it's hosted abroad, even if they were foolish enough to try? Now, if the placing of an ad is a crime... well, that's enforceable. But will LE have the resources and inclination to actually enforce it? Maybe, but that depends on the LE in question. And that only applies if ads stay the way they are today... if advertizing sexual services is illegal, then we simply do what's already common in the US: "Money exchanged is for time and companionship only (nudge, wink)." Problem solved: no sex advertized, no law broken. On the idea that this bill could kill the industry in Canada: well, I'm sure the government would love that to happen. But, really... look south. Even if this bill passed as written, the legal environment for sex work would still be less oppressive than that which exists in most of the US. Tell me, doom-mongers, are there no sex workers in the US? Are there no clients? And, bearing in mind the answers to those two questions, do you honestly think the industry will die here? It's called the Oldest Profession for a reason, and it's survived worse than this. Now, that's not to say there will be no effect at all. We may end up with a more US-like situation where providers have to be more careful about screening clients, and clients will have to be more careful about which ads they respond to, and newcomers on both sides of the fence will probably find it harder to get established. Some clients and providers may well be scared out of the industry, and it may decline in size as a result. But it will continue; I have no doubt about that. My gut feeling is that enforcement of whatever finally becomes law will, as today, be mostly aimed at street workers and their clients. Let's face it, this is about politics, and what drives politics is public opinion... and what drives public opinion is what the public sees. The man in the street probably doesn't know that the nice lady in the apartment upstairs is a sex worker, and therefore he won't complain to either LE or his MP about her; he's going to complain about the lady in the short skirt on a street corner, never mind the fact that she's just a random person meeting a friend for a night out and not a sex worker at all. Finally: as many have noted, this is all obviously going to be struck down by the SCC on the same grounds as last time, provided we can get plaintiffs for a test-case (or maybe two; it strikes me you'd need one case for the laws aimed at clients, and one for the laws aimed at providers). Sure, most people won't want the publicity... but it only needs one or two courageous and determined individuals. And a decade.
