A lady has the absolute right to choose who she is intimate with, irrespective of a clients race, creed, colour, religion, age, body size, hair/lack of it etc etc etc 2. Often ladies may have a BF/SO (some who may not know their GF/SO is an SP) who is for lack of a better phrase, part of a small ethnic group in her city, and seeing someone of the same ethnic group as a client could publically expose her to that small community where her profession as an SP could be discovered. Racism may not be the reason, it may be because of discretion and anonymity. 4. Yes maybe racism too. Not saying it doesn't happen. But that said what man would really want to see a woman who doesn't want to see him. There are many beautiful women out there that aren't racist and would love to spend time with a respectful gentleman of any ethnicity. That's just off the top of my head. It is government logic. Premise A: Govt plans to shut down all prostitution by eliminating all advertising (because they know that no ads means no sex workers). Premise B: Govt knows it will get flak from voters if they have any legislation that criminalizes anything done by any sex worker, including any self advertising (which includes standing on street corner) Conclusion by govt: create a law that will make criminals out of all Canadian advertising venues (online and paper advertising) if they accept money from any sex worker to publish her ads Results: sex workers will have no place that can legally accept her paying them to publish to her legal ads, therefore all prostitution will come to a screeching halt because no client will be able to find a sex worker. Ever. Solution: sps now write ads that do not advertise their sexual services. Advertising sites and papers happily can take her $$ to publish her ads. Clients benefit because they will also not be contacting/solicitating the services of sex workers for advertised sexual services, they will be contacting an escort for time/companionship services, or a massage provider for massage services. Side benefit: Govt happy because they are the first country in the world to eradicate and stop all sex work!! And we can tell, because there are no sp ads anymore. And sp ads are used to determine the number of underage sps (because their photos 'look' underage) or trafficked sps (because they 'traveled" from Ottawa to Toronto, therefore must be trafficked). Thus, all abolitionist groups will be out of work, nothing to see, nothing to do, no one to rescue.

It's not racism. It's personal preference for WHATEVER reason. I knew an Sp who was of another ethnicity who would not see clients of that ethnic group because she did not want to run into anyone she might know from her community. Sps provide an intimate service and are when it comes to our bodies, it's our rules. And we shouldn't have to explain ourselves to anyone.

Yes, I agree with Alexxxis. You took the words out of my mouth.lol. I would rather be discrete in exchanging communication with the client as she mentioned to keep the client safe. After all, aside from services, clients are paying for discretion. That is what I have always given them and will continue to do so. Why would I put my clients in jeopardy for the sake of being able to discuss certain things? I will cover them because these are my clients and how I make my living. The customer comes first in this situation. Pun intended!

And, the last time I checked, the sps are not waiting tables at a restaurant, where their contact with people is limited to talking to them, and putting a plate of food down in front of them. There isn't going to be human rights committees started up in order to force sps to service everyone who contacts them, because that is procuring/coercion/trafficking and will remain against the laws. So complain about it in an ad, or as an sp's particular policy all you wish, it won't get you in the door to see her if she has chosen this path. I happen to think that assuming an sp is racist because she has any such policy is prejudging her without having the knowledge or understanding of why she has the policy.

I no longer let clients make me put myself in a position of having to promise something I am not sure I want to provide. It's like the guy who wants daty, and shows up with a full blown beard that's stubble. It's not fun, and if I promised it ahead of time, how do I now say no? After a two-week hiatus, again stopped by 340 on a Saturday afternoon (10/25). Arrived about 3:30 and found the club to be fairly active although the crowd thinned out by about 5:00-5:30. A number of the recent Saturday afternoon regulars were present - Sasha, Paris, Brandi, Juicy (?) and the always breathtaking Jenny as well as a couple of darker-haired ladies not familiar to me. In general, I've found the Saturday afternoons when I've been in recently (during October) have been somewhat busier than I remember these afternoons being in the past.

I find that men from certain countries, particularly new immigrants from those certain countries, were not raised in a culture in which women are equal or highly valued or treated delicately. Which makes the job tougher than it already is. Ladies' screening processes are none of anybody's business, whether those screening processes would be deemed 'racist' or not by the general public.

I have work in this industry close to a decade I have seen some ladies in south clearly state no black...it's really hard to describe each situation I don't discriminate I see all background however recently I start to ask ethnicity and age to have a better sense of who I deal with I have canceled in middle of the session someone that was way too aggressive with a large equipment to be call racist..As funny as it sound I have date several guys of his ethnicity Knowing sometime ethnicity help me to be prepare to understand some behaviors You know as shocking as it can be fir some it's a lady preference ..some ladies choose to not see overweight men under 25 men.. As much as it sound like racism some ladies have a problem service black,Indian,Arab I don't .. However I can recognize that some of different nationality not all have different smell behaviors etc I personally decide to judge on each different person individually I see obese handicap person but I do expect them to be forward as different issue can arise.. As for asking ethnicity or age it just help me to know a bit what to expect ..of course by generalizing Lisbeth i know it sad that some escorts refuse a client base on his color but it's her decision her body and probably her lost.. I have met ladies that won't see different ethnicity yet they have a partner of different ethnicity .. I personally only discriminate arrogant not nice guys lol

One thing that came to mind as I am reading this is because of SP's having to be more creative in their writing and not actually talking about services, I think we may see more bookings for longer sessions. I could be totally wrong but it seems that if we, as clients, have to find out after we arrive, we may not be able to do those walk in 15 min or fast15 or whatever that I see in some ads. Of course, there are guys who just want a quick bang out there and don't care about anything else so maybe things won't change much. Personally, I like to have more time and enjoy myself. Even 1/2 hr sessions are too short for my liking but that's just me. When all is said and done, I do go back to reading and comprehension, though. Guys need to slow down and read the ads/websites thoroughly and develop the skill of reading between the lines. Learning how to pick out the subtle nuances of clever writing will go a long way to avoiding confusion, imo. And saying they don't have time or can't because they are on their I-phone is a total cop-out. People need to stop being lazy and maybe that is one good thing that could come out of this.

I have done a lot of reading on this bill C-36, and find it completely contradictory and confusing in wording. I have websites that will have to be totally revamped, and that is not the problem. I believe Fortunateone put this all too well, we as providers, will be impossible to find if this goes through. Companionship, in this instance, will have to go back to the ways of almost secrecy and mystery. Yes we can have pictures on our sites, but the chosen wording will be basically 'if you like what you see, come and find out'. Which is unfortunate. We as sp's quite often have no idea of who we are dealing with when engaging in a 'first meeting' with a new client. We don't know what you look like, what you are looking for, or if we as the provider will even have a sexual attraction to you. Clients are going to have to become diligent in being patient with providers as to which services will be available to them. As far as I am concerned, there are a lot of services that I offer, and only a few that I do not, but for providers that offer only a limited 'selection' of services, there will be the aire of mystery for the clients. They may not get what they want when contacting a provider, until the client is actually with the provider and finds out what is available. It seems to me that freedom of the press is taking a turn for the worst in this case. I am not free to say what I want in advertising.

Your advertising should reflect you and the more descriptive words the better. "Money is being exchanged for time or time and companionship". While I don't know what type of dates you offer, the following is a suggestion: Wild, adventurous and Intense could be used to describe a hot pse style date. Sensual, romantic, and gentle could be used for a gfe style date. Put the word safe anywhere in there and you have a safe gfe date. Basically a visually descriptive paragraph describing you and the time together, more is better in this case for what you write. It is about getting people to read between the lines, yet being clear so they get it. I suggest, start with the highlights about you and then get more visually descriptive as you start writing about the date you offer. Think about your best asset and go from there. I do not believe its racism, I do believe its preference, for whatever reason. I can certainly understand the ethnicity backgrounds and not wanting to run into someone 'accidentally' from ones own ethnic background in a small community of that ethnicity. It makes perfect sense to me. Providers that do not wish to see gentlemen from any particular ethnic group, no matter which group that may be, do most certainly have the right to choose. After all, gentlemen that seek our services as providers, are certainly free to not choose any one of us due to our ethnic background, or hair color, or physical appearance. Thanks RG and I think I see what you're saying, but from what I've read of the bill this doesn't seem to be quite the case. The purchase of sex will indeed become illegal, but the sale of it will not be, at least in the case of an independent lady advertising her own services. There's a specific exemption that says no one will be prosecuted for "an advertisement of their own sexual services." That's why I was confused about why ladies would have to change their websites. I do get the idea that ladies making changes to 'companionship only' and such do protect clients. Though I wouldn't think someone would have to be too concerned talking with known and reputable ladies any more in the future than someone would be now who arranges an incall which is technically illegal. But yes, I can see how it might make a gent more comfortable and protected to make contact knowing they aren't technically asking for anything illegal. And not being to advertise or even be a member on places like Cerb (I do remember reading that now that you remind me) certainly make a compelling case to make the change. Honestly, I have no idea how common it is. There are a very few providers who put restrictions in their ads; there are a larger number who explicitly state that they don't discriminate based on race. As RG said, all providers have the same right as anyone else to reject anyone they don't want to get it on with, no matter how good or bad their reasons may be. But clients decide who to see or not see for all sorts of reasons, and there are probably quite a lot of us who find overt racism to be rather distasteful...

Hi guys, I TOFTT last week end with Lilly from Moncton/Riverveiw. After a few tentalizing messages form Lilly, we set up an early app. for Saturday morning. The reasons are because the "advertisers" are not allowed under the new bill to advertise sexual services. Even on cerb, they will not allow "known prostitues" to advertise, so they will not be allowed to remain as a member. Hope this helps

I'm a little nervous to ask this question in case I'm missing something obvious, so if I am please be gentle, but... I'm wondering what the rationale is for so many independent providers to switch to only talking about "companionship only", etc and not mentioning sexual services if that's what they're used to. Don't get me wrong, those that have always preferred to stay away from such things have every right to do so, and others in this thread have pointed out why many even prefer that approach. But I feel like I'm missing what part of the bill makes it a problem for an independent provider who is accustomed or does prefers to list/discuss services from continuing to do so. My understanding of the bill was that there is an exemption that allows an independent lady to advertise their own sexual services. I get why the wording of the bill may be problematic for agencies, but as I say, I'm hoping someone could explain for me what in the bill makes it a problem for independent ladies to continue as they've done?
