Thank you for the links to those two articles. I really have to stop reading the comments though. The ignorance, hatred, venom and stupidity never fails to both gall and sadden me. We, as Canadians, shouldn't have to claw so much or scream so loud to have our basic rights and needs heard and protected or have people dismiss us as diseased victims who don't know any better. An old Chinese saying is "may you live in interesting times" We most certainly are.

I've been inspired by this bill the Government has produced, and by the amount of respect they've shown for sex workers and for the Supreme Court. I think it's only appropriate so respond in a manner that reflects equal respect for the Government and for their abolitionist cheerleaders. I think the best way to do this would be to find an old church, buy it, and convert it into a brothel... and to do all this in the blaze of as much publicity as possible. Who's in? Just wanted to say that after being on Cerb for 4 years and meeting many SP's and MA's over the years that I have learnt a lot about the women who have chosen the is path as a career. Once again, the Conservatives who like to present themselves as moderates are trying to legislate morality and their own personal beliefs. It seems like they may get away with it this time. Some good news for fans of the old Studio 2000, which ceased operations at the end of last year, after over 40 years of business in Ottawa. A new studio has opened up, called Studio Chantal. It's run by Chantal, who used to work at Studio 2000. A lot of the old talent at Studio 2000 seem to be back with her, including Angie, Anne, Mariane, and of course Chantal herself. I have a letter to my MP mostly composed. I'll post it here when it is finished. Martin, Not sure how from this you read that I DO GFE?? The spilled milk story reminded me of me letting the milk jug slip out of my hand one time and pretty much drenching the whole kitchen floor. My roommate at the time says "hey you missed a spot over there". We both laughed. I guess the expression "no use crying over spilled milk" makes sense. Massage = Health care professional, trained and registered MT Masseuse = sex industry The first goal of massage therapy and what is basically taught in the program is to do no harm. With education, from cellular to pathologies and death, every inch of the body is included. It is quite easy to injure someone if you are not familair with the anatomy, functions, could quite possibly hurt someone. Biology, chemistry and pathologies, pathologies, pathologies. Most spa's now require massage training in order to work. I am trained, certified massage theripist but not registered. Under no circumstances would I dis-regard or disrespect the work involved in the program as health care professionals. The massage therapy association has work so hard to rise above society's view of massage therapy (sex in a back room). Finally having it listed under the health care system. My opinion of a RMT offering anything sexual in nature, doesn't care nor respect the hard work that RMTs put in to ensure better health for society.
