my highlight on cerb was hitting the 500 mark today, it's taken awhile but i've finally got there lol. Let's see how long the next go...lol.

Thank you for the links to those two articles. I really have to stop reading the comments though. The ignorance, hatred, venom and stupidity never fails to both gall and sadden me. We, as Canadians, shouldn't have to claw so much or scream so loud to have our basic rights and needs heard and protected or have people dismiss us as diseased victims who don't know any better. An old Chinese saying is "may you live in interesting times" We most certainly are.

I've been inspired by this bill the Government has produced, and by the amount of respect they've shown for sex workers and for the Supreme Court. I think it's only appropriate so respond in a manner that reflects equal respect for the Government and for their abolitionist cheerleaders. I think the best way to do this would be to find an old church, buy it, and convert it into a brothel... and to do all this in the blaze of as much publicity as possible. Who's in? (And really, I'm only half-joking. I don't actually have either the money or the balls to kick off that big a shitstorm, but I really wish I did.)

Just wanted to say that after being on Cerb for 4 years and meeting many SP's and MA's over the years that I have learnt a lot about the women who have chosen the is path as a career. Most of them have chosen this career because they enjoy the independence and financial freedom that it can bring. But this job is not easier. Many of them have families or kids to support. University educations that they are trying to complete. This job is demanding as it involves many hours of marketing, emailing, posting ad's answering text and PM's. I've met many of these women and have truly enjoyed my time with them time and again. This can be a stressful time as they need the time to prepare the room and prepare themselves for each encounter. Some day's it can busy and other day's not. Some day's they meet some really fun gentlemen and other days, maybe some creeps. Some have been robbed, or beaten up or cheated. Likely I will take some time off and take a "wait and see" position. I don't like to use the words "forever" or "never", as perspectives can change. I will likely step back for a bit though and wait to see what exactly the fallout will be and how enforcement will be handled. Once again, the Conservatives who like to present themselves as moderates are trying to legislate morality and their own personal beliefs. It seems like they may get away with it this time. What is happening to my country?

Some good news for fans of the old Studio 2000, which ceased operations at the end of last year, after over 40 years of business in Ottawa. A new studio has opened up, called Studio Chantal. It's run by Chantal, who used to work at Studio 2000. A lot of the old talent at Studio 2000 seem to be back with her, including Angie, Anne, Mariane, and of course Chantal herself. I have a letter to my MP mostly composed. I'll post it here when it is finished. I do suspect that RoamingGuy is likely correct about the underfunded nature of this initiative. If passed, LE would most likely go for the low hanging fruit, because it's all they could afford to go after. Actually yes, this used to be code, either HH ( half service ) or hour was ( full services). And Yes as INDY you may post an ad, BUT....by advertising anything that is " sexual service" IE: GFE/PSE etc, would also incriminate your clientele. Merely responding to a " sexual ad" can be seen as " communication with the purpose of" .... so as I have stated many times, as long as our ads and enquiries are for time only, there is no case to build upon.

This sounds just like the old days except for the texting part. LOL! If they did offer them, it was with established regulars. As years passed, SPs and clients alike became more courageous because they knew LE weren't enforcing the laws if you kept your head down and flew under the radar. The industry changed and kept evolving and business carried on. This is how it was always done in the early days ( before the internet and when the internet was in its infancy with escort industry sites) and this is the way it will have to be done again. If certain laws are passed especially regarding bawdy houses and making sure no one under the age of 18 is or could be present, the question will be how far LE will go to enforce such laws if passed? Will they have the budget to do it? It will be interesting to see how it plays out and how far they will go to prosecute. As Forunateone pointed out, they will go after the easiest targets and that's sexworkers who are on the streets.

The bill needs to pass through several steps in the House of Commons, then again more steps in the Senate. No need for disaster planning just yet ;)

This bill is so poor that deep down we all know it will fizzle out...eventually. Until that point it will be hanging over our heads and creating drama and angst and THAT is what it boils down to. It is THAT concept that I think everyone is upset about even if they haven't acknowledged it yet. It's more fighting and trying to get a voice heard. It's trying to convince people who won't listen that we are people who should have the same rights as anyone, that we matter. We are NOT all victims, some have chosen this. We make things safer for ourselves and those we share this industry with because no one seems to want to do it for us. Our government is trying to take away our safety, our livelihood and most importantly our voice. It IS politics, politics forsaking a large group of people and using them as a patsy for someone else's agenda. Even if it gets thrown out entirely, beaten down etc. It will be creating negativity and drama in our lives for the foreseeable future. It will impact our lives and our businesses and those of our clients. It will impact our society and the way we are perceived in the world. It will raise angry voices until the end, voices that are fighting on both sides for justice and to be heard. THAT is the reality of this legislature. What happens in the end matters but it's all the stuff between now and then that will have the greatest impact.

I still remember how nervous I was contacting my first provider... I'm sure I made a few rookie mistakes... Luckily she was very welcoming and understanding... And my initial stunned shock... Soon enough gave way to pure bliss... And by the end I had been made to feel like a champion... So thank you to that first lady, and to those incredible ladies I've had the pleasure of meeting since, and to any whose company I may someday get the opportunity to share. Because though I may still sometimes feel pretty shy, the memories and anticipation you create leave me a bit more...well...animated. :) ........... So, anyone else have a story? Or (to have fun and keep it simple), anyone have that one image or gif that sums up how Cerb and the people you meet here make you feel?

I had a delicious dinner tonight at Turtle Jacks Mississauga. I ate every morsel. When the server came to clear my plate she asked how my meal was and I responded ... "ya that was awful!" She could see I pretty much licked my plate. I'm pretty sure I didn't offend her :D And I'm 100% sure my comment had nothing to do with my self esteem.. or trying to make myself feel better :) I'm harmlessly sarcastic all the time! People better not start taking me seriously or I'm in big trouble lmfao ....

I had the pleasure of watching the 3D version of X-Men: Days of Future Past. I'll say one thing for the different Marvel franchises, they have really good writing. The story was complex and as layered as any time travel could be expected to be, yet it retained the basic humanity that is the center of the X-Men films. Lots of great action, humour, and even friggen Tyrion Lannister as the bad guy! If you are a fan - don't walk, run to this movie. If you just want action and adventure and would like to see a nearly naked Jennifer Lawrence then this movie is for you too. If you want deep character development, romance and sophistication, then rent the last season of Downton Abby.

I agree...this place is one of the best ones in the city for great service and attitude. Leanne & Christine are great ( havent seen Tywal ) ...if you want to relax with a great massage and beautiful girl, I highly recommend this place....and without FS.....dont go expecting anything but a great massage, as fs is NOT on the menu , but you will leave relaxed and happy. Just my 2c worth
