Not saying all the girls on the northside do this. But this add is one of the same girls who were running the Hawkins street robberies with baseball bats. Just a little heads up to stay with the girls who have a great reputation and a proven track record. https://www.leolist.cc/personals/female-companions/new-brunswick/fredericton_ready_to_play-3565150

This can help you explain the difference between decriminalization and legalization. It talks about sex work legislation around the world and the effects:

I could be wrong (I was, once) but I'm guessing this behavior is related to the migration of backpage clients to alternate platforms. I've always been irritated by the many lyla members (who should know better) continually asking about this or that backpage ad ((and in the majority of cases - they should learn to do their homework - having the fake ad identified)) on lyla while there is no shortage of well reviewed ladies who are on lyla. I understand that it has been a challenge for many providers with the demise of backpage but I'm still hopeful that the net result will be better. In the transition period things may be tough. Backpage was a dominant and continent wide service for both ladies and clients alike. I wish lyla could grow to this (I appreciate positivity) yet understand reality. Additional Comments: This link is from the thread about backpage posted by TorontoMelanieJoliet and it is the simplest, clearest and most compelling statement about sex worker's rights. I'm going out to buy a red umbrella and work to do more.

I've noticed an increase in the number of new inquiries from guys who I've declined in the past. They forget they've inquired before and I've declined them. One begged me to see him. I felt then we weren't compatible and my instincts told me to again decline him. He went ballistic so my gut was correct. Another was someone who accused me of being a cop because of my screening. All I asked was for his number first, then I would give him mine. Said he's wanted to see me for years then looses it because "no one around here does it this way". Told him I've been doing it this way for years with no complaints. So I suspect he's tried to book me previously and has been declined. I stopped advertising my phone number for a number of reasons, and find this works for me and legit guys have no issues. So, the tire kickers, address collectors and time wasters are still out there trying their game. I think they think because it's a different site we are now green again. So complain away guys, it confirms my suspicion of you when you do.

I find it stunning that anyone would take an article whose sources are anti prostitution proponents seriously. That's the faulty thinking that keeps sex work criminalized. I also don't think that 17 cases out of the millions of ads posted warrants this indictment. Does the elimination of the advertising platform help trafficking victims in any way? Is it going to be easier for LE to identify, locate and extract nonconsensual teens and adults? No, they are going to be pushed further underground and become harder to reach, all the while forcing consensual workers into more dangerous life situations. They were playing by the grey, tenuous rules but their willingness to defy unjust legislation was their downfall. If you don't want to support a site that has trafficking on it then stop advertising. I've know providers on Lyla that were pimped, there isn't a facet of the industry that it isn't present. What is erroneous tho are the details of what constitutes trafficking and pimping. This isn't about trafficking, this is about right wing censorship of sexuality online. In times coming, you will see more sights go down like Grindr, Tinder and Seeking Arrangements. This is simply the thin edge of the wedge. What they don't emphasize is that almost all of these "trafficked" minors are runaways from abusive home environments. Where is the onus for not protecting them before they end up on the streets? Where is the help for once they are on the streets? There is none. So instead of dealing with the real issues at hand from the beginning, legislation simply goes after the new sensationalizing headlines. This is a far more complex problem than "these guys were bad guys" whitewashing, anti sex worker groups would like the public to believe. Please understand that legalization is a disaster. It criminalizes the industry but leaves small loopholes for big business to buy licensing then controlling the industry. We need decriminalization which means the local business laws applies to sex work as it does to other businesses. It's important that we understand the difference even if it seems to be nit picking. It isn't, it's important that sex workers and those involved in the industry know the difference... smiles, cat

Are there others here who seem to be having an issue with a bunch of enquires who suddenly think we somehow have changed our screening methods, services, rates? I am being flooded with all kinds of odd situations. Its been crazy! Could it actually be a case of a whole bunch of peoplel who never ever booked a massage or a date? I cant see how that would be... Is it a case that some men think we are scrambeling and desperate so we will " do anything" ? I am sure our lyla men are hopefully well informed about how we remain consistant...but, looking for input from other ladies if they too are experiencing stranger then usual. God I hope these growing pains dont last long! Thanks for any input :/

I've had so many texts in the last week that I started taking my phone number off ads. Mostly all from other places then Montreal. I started blocking numbers that just say rates or something stupid or rude. Seriously I've had hundreds of requests with only a few serious ones. Many late night calls and texts as well.Thank God I turn my phone off or down.

Was contacted yesterday night by two providers who I'd exchanged messages in the past with but never actually met. After exchanging a few messages I learned both were trying to find clients since backpage is gone. They must be providers who work mainly weekends, I directed them both to leolist. One was quite grateful to know where to post ads now. It shows that it's going to take time for providers and clients to make the transition. I encourage everyone to spread the word. I have no stake in Leolist, but must say in the long run it looks to me like it'll be better than backpage for Canada at least. Verified providers, better search tools, the little map of what areas the providers will work in.

I argue this portion found in the link above: "Taking down Backpage and obtaining a criminal conviction for the company and its CEO represents a significant victory in the fight against human trafficking in Texas and around the world," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton ® said in a statement. I fail to see this as a victory. Similar to how laws only pushed the industry underground, making it more dangerous for both sides of the industry, so to does the removal of Backpage. Canadian LE have long been saying that Backpage made it simpler to keep tabs on the industry, ie human trafficking and those underage. IMO, the removal of Backpage will only drive said issues more underground, making it more difficult to keep taps on. Besides the issues we had with Backpage, this is the true loss of Backpage being removed. A few days ago there was a press conference at the White House of lady who was once trafficked thanking the US Government for removing Backpage. Indeed, her story is sad. IMO, what I find more sad is trafficking now being driven further underground and how worse it will become for those who will be trafficked in the future, underage or not. Only decriminalizing the industry will lessen human trafficking and those underage.

I absolutely love LeoList! It's super user friendly from a provider's perspective, and it's free to advertise (the add-ons are really well priced too!). It has a lovely layout and is visually appealing to me as well. Much better than Backpage was, that's for sure. I hope it becomes just as popular as Backpage, in Canada anyway!

Good afternoon Everyone... I for one feel for all the Providers trying to figure out how to post Ads after last week. There are several different sites that already been listed under various backpage postings. I had opportunity to talk with a Ottawa Provider this past weekend about this very subject. She was a little upset about losing her Ads on backpage and had already prepaid earlier Friday Morning for the rest of April. She is now being very proactive about her email address and website. She was on Gmail for emails and has already switch to a non US based email provider. She also said She is a little worried about her website as it is also US based so it to might be shutdown as well. So what can we as Clients do to help out the Providers we are seeing or would like to see in the future. First thing us Clients can do is to note their contact information on sites based out of the United States as it might be shutdown in the future. Also note that your Provider will most likely be changing their email addresses to a non US provider for emails in order to be proactive. They are making these changes to ensure we can contact them in the future. They will be also changing website providers and websites shortly to ensure they will have website you can use to find them. All of these changes require a lot of work and are time consuming for the Providers. Canadian Clients should be patient over the next weeks and months as these changes are being made by the Providers. The most important thing us Clients can do is make use of this Canadian based Website. This site has postings and recommendations of Providers across Canada and you will not better Providers anywhere. So please make use of all the benefits here when you are looking for a Provider and book time with one of the Lyla.com Providers. The last thing we talked about this weekend was that even though She has been a Provider here for over a year with numerous postings and recommendations. She does not believe any of her current Clients have come from Lyla.com. So please let the Providers know you have found them here on Lyla.com and have read their postings and recommendations. We can also be more active here with this community by commenting on their postings and writing recommendations. This will ensure our Canadian Community is strong and better than it was last week... Thanks Ottawacomet Additional Comments: Good morning I have just noticed that one that one United States based websites has found a work around for the new American Law. When you open the site there is a new function where you have to say your not a American to enter the site. If you are a American you are to leave the site. Hopefully other companies will use this function and they will be able to restart the sites who have been taken down...

Taking down backpage only hurts us and puts those without proper sources on the streets and in danger of being targeted by pimps and crazy men...people should have followed the rules and regulations on backpage perhaps then It would still be up (just my opinion)

Sigh...ya censorship is a rough one. But even on other sites, its the same. I tried to write my description on leolist today to write about a new massage skill I have picked up, " Marama massage is a facial massage for optimal relaxation" and it wouldnt let me write it, then I tried face...nope not that either. This site does have a warning section. I think more could be done with that. But to write bad reviews is touchy. On one hand, what YOU might consider a bad experience another may not. Case in point: The thread about Legit providers that was in NB ( now its gone) someone made a post about a lady here, and said PM him for the " real" story. Turns out after they spoke one on one about the situation is a misunderstanding on what GF* meant to one another and what safe service meant. He could have ruined her reputation and she would have lost massive income security. all because both had a different version of what they meant. They made up and all is well hahahah. Another case: I once made a gent upset when I went to kiss him. It made him very uncomfortable. Then another guy was upset with me for not trying to kiss him lol. Or Another case: I worked with a lady years ago. She had a killer body. But her face would not be considered beautiful in a traditional way. He then after the appt, wrote a nasty post about how horrified he was:( That was sad, I mean beauty is shown in many forms. Eye of the beholder right? That post circulated for while and I know it did hurt her income. Meanwhile her regs thought highly of her. So is that a bad experience or just a disappointing one? There are big differences in say a bad experience to a disappointing one. So many factors to consider. Bad would be, robbed, intoxicated and belligerent, finding out a child is there, switch and bait, no show. These examples are considered dangerous and people should be warned.

You do know you're not supposed to get undressed until you are in the back room? ;) Additional Comments: Seriously, thanks for the recommendation. I was planning on seeing her but was going to see her at either of her private locations so I don't have to do the "walk of shame." I am on the fence now. I realize these ladies are not RMT's but like you, do expect a decent massage for $60.00, not some light tickle. Thanks again.

Well said Double Vee, I totally agree with many of your sentiments. The experiences I enjoy the most are those in which I probably have spent half the time or more just talking. It's like suddenly we realize their is another part to our getting together and move on to other activities. As good as the second half may be, it's the "connection" I feel we made in the first half that brings me back for more. Real or otherwise it's that feeling that they give you that you really matter that makes the experience feel special. And to those special ladies that are able to create that environment I say thank you!

As my first post on lyla, I would like to recommend some of the few great agencies we have in Montreal. Here are my favorites in order of importance (to me). All are very well reviewed. I would also like to mention that you should stay away from Backpage especially as its way too full of B&S here in Montreal. It is a crime these two ladies haven't been given a recommendation here in Moncton yet gents, because they are a pair of fantastic jewels. Katherine is a wonderful girl I have seen many times and finally we managed to schedule an appointment that included her lady love Sophia. Katherine is an attentive, enthusiastic, wonderfully funny gal, and I'm overjoyed to say she and Sophia pair well, they're both very clever and conversational and gorgeous. And very, very attentive to a gent's needs, in a wonderful private and quiet location. I don't want to go into too much detail, but really, they are GREAT ladies. Sexy, professional but easygoing, they put me at ease then gave me one hell of a fun evening. I can't recommend them strongly enough gents, they are an amazing pair of women dedicated to pleasing their guys!

It's quite obvious from your post that it's not about their safety or anyone else's but YOUR COMFORT, so I fixed your post for you. And before you get all riled up about the insinuation that you'd cause violence, well, no offense, but men who are "upset" by "scars where their dick used to be" are usually the ones who get violent. A transitioned trans woman, or a trans woman who has had top and bottom surgery is under no obligation to disclose to you. If you are so insecure about your own masculinity that you need to know if someone used to have a penis, you need to deal with that shit yourself.

I would be curious, in all this blabbing and exchange of semi-insults, to know about a transgender SP. Unlikely to happen since it doesn't seem to interest them that much. This is the kind of subject everybody has an opinion on and fight over, when deeply, it doesn't even worth the shot. So here's a pretty good solution to your question: - Disclosed on ad and willing to take the shot: GO! - Disclosed on ad, but not interested anyways: DON'T! - Not disclosed on ad, and would be willing to try: NICE! - Not disclosed on ad, and not willing to try: BRUSH IT OFF. Sorry for hijacking the thread, but this is now turned to ridicule. Lesson of hobbying #1: Transgender or not, an SP is an SP, and she (or he) has the liberty to run her (or his) buisness the way she (or he) wants. Whatever you say won't change that.
