My apologies in advance. My post is long and a bit heavy, but a highlight for me today, nevertheless. I finally understand how important it was for me to spend a couple of weeks with my grandfather in Laura, Saskatchewan over fifty years ago. My grandmother had to go somewhere. My grandfather had suffered a stroke and needed someone to stay with him, just in case. We were living in Saskatoon, not far away. It was summer - a beautiful warm, dry Saskatchewan summer. I was twelve or thirteen, I think. I was the one who would be with my grandfather. I didn't understand then how important my presence could be. My grandfather had four children, including my mother, the eldest, and one son, Joseph (Joe), the youngest. Joe was very talented but quite wild around the edges - spoiled rotten, drank too much, chased skirts and ended up in the St. Lawrence River in his early thirties, with a wife and many children in St. John's, NL. I resembled Joe a lot. I would guess that my being with my grandfather comforted him greatly. We very much enjoyed being together. We exchanged very few words, but lots of connection. We would go for walks and collect beer bottles and mushrooms, which he would cook in butter. Yummy! In the afternoon he would smoke his pipe in his den, and take a nap. Beautiful, peaceful times! A lovely man, of few words, who lies buried now in Laura, with his wife, not far from where my mother and my father also rest in peace. Only tonight did I realize fully how good that time was for me, and probably for him :) bellafan

Hard as it may be to believe, simple, over the counter medicines are hard to find in Cuba. I find the hotel maids really appreciate Children's tylenol, brand name toothpaste, and the like, as "tips". If they can't use it themselves they can barter it with other Cubans

Here's my take on it. I don't fear any area of Halifax for my personal safety, but I don't want to have a great experience and come back to my car and find it broken into or missing. That would be a disaster I don't need. Safe, secure and if possible; discrete parking is a priority for me. I'm not leaving my car on Highfield park drive or Creighton st. Options like that would make up my mind for me.

Although I have cut down on hobbying, I have to say that when I first started I was seeing a lot of the younger SP's & MA's. but over the years, I find it more comfy with the 30+ women. They have more experience, most are not rushed, and most are clean (meaning no drug or drinking habits).

Another proud "darksider" here. :) Lived in Dartmouth much of my life and am happy to do so. It is funny how many people from across the harbour act like crossing the bridge is entering a different country. You can get to downtown Halifax from Dartmouth faster than you can many places within Halifax itself! And yes, there are good and less reputable streets on both sides of the bridge. But as others have said, I put much more stock into the reputation and communication of a lady than any worries about location.

The thing about a city this size is that the nice areas and the. ....well less nice areas are often quite close together geographically so it helps to know the area. You will certainly find a lot of anti Dartmouth sentiment on the Halifax side. I think some of them were scared by a bridge as children which might explain their irrational fears ; ) It would likely be easier to entice a Dartmouth resident to the Halifax side than the other way around from a business perspective. Most Dartmouth people are used to traveling to the Halifax side. Just an observation. A generalization of course but seems to often be the case based on my own friends and family.

So true! My oh my what a change from 2001 till now! They had a hard time in learning how to have tourisim as their main economy. They only really began this 1995 . They have come a long way. But your adventure or lack of will greatly impact your views of this colourful country. Surely if you only stick to resorts and the buffett style eating you will probably be dissapointed. Get out there to the private in home reaturants and now you got some real good eats! Befriend your staff, bring gifts of razors and lotions and toys and you will be treated as royality. Also, there is not much differnece in the 5 star to the 3.5 stars. Only difference is the anount of entertainment and staff per persons. Other than that not much difference. Gotta be willing to see the good and not just pick on what is not perfect for your liking. Thats what adventures to other cultures are about!

I could probably contribute to this thread daily for a while because I have been so very fortunate to have met some incredible people in my sojourn on this site, but today I shall put forward two Goddesses of the Day. It's probably safe to say that there are a number of variables that come into play when deciding to visit any lady. Really, I would visit any lady with more than a couple positive reviews on this site, regardless of location whether it was my first time seeing her or not. As others have said in this thread already, when considering seeing someone for the first time who does not have any reviews to go by, neighbourhood is definitely a factor, and there are areas on both sides of the harbour that I would not venture into for a first meeting. Accessibility, parking, and my comfort level to enter and exit 'unnoticed' are big factors. Sometimes a hotel location for a first visit makes me feel more at ease for a first visit with someone with no reviews on this site. Usually easier to park and blend in to the crowd when coming and going. The first point is the important one. When considering a visit to any of the fabulous, well-reviewed ladies on here like Lexy, Danielle and others, location isn't really a factor.

Short answer: all of the above. It's your choice what to do in the situation but most would say be polite, say no thanks and leave and don't put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation. Some guys like the look of the girl and stay, and then will post it as a B&S later. Some have stayed and had a great time while others didn't and there have been cases of a third person showing up, robbing and threatening. It is always recommended you do your homework on any provider you wish to see especially new or transient. If you do take a chance, listen to your gut when it says "leave". This is an easy industry to take advantage in which is why sites like this are great for being able to discuss and posts warnings. Have fun and be careful.

Not as much of a concern about location if the lady I'm visiting has a good and well known reputation. There are a few areas I wouldn't visit if it was to meet someone for the first time. For example I wouldn't visit someone unknown if they were based out of Highfield Park area.

Don't know if this counts, I finally got up the nerves and went sunbathing at a clothing optional beach. There were only three other people naked when I got there but I joined them. It was kind is sexy or arousing to be sitting with my legs open and junior soaking up the sun especially when other clothed sunbathers walked by. I noticed a few of the younger ladies sneaking a peak when they casually walked by and when I got up to go cool off in the water. Although I was not hard I was in a semi hard state most of the time and it felt kinda nice.

I will make a few points, in no particular order to illustrate there are many ways to provide for retirement. I was downsized by a firm in 2000 and for various reasons never returned full time to the workforce. With the passing of my wife I officially considered myself retired. We always thought we would have a combined income in retirement, not to be. One decision I made during the nineties was to convert to a defined contribution from a defined benefit plan and control my own destiny. I have all my life invested 10 percent of my income in a stock savings plan. I have a reasonably sizable investment portfolio, so able to adjust my income every 5 years. I still max my TFSA. With longer life spans, I still invest in a less conventional strategy for my age, I'm 60% equity and only 40 fixed. The last thing I'm doing even though I live alone, is to maintain my home, which can be sold to provide an income at a layer date.

I'm not sure if I am changing the intent of this thread or not, but it is certainly related. Retirement is a big thing financially as has already been written about but also psychologically. I know a few individuals who were in high stress jobs that upon retirement were bored out of their minds. They found that they needed something to occupy their time, and regretted the decision. Another friend who had an amazing professional career went to work at the take out window at Tims and absolutely loved it. When I retired I figured that I could take a year and putter on my beautiful old home and property. Now here I am seven years later and still puttering and not the least bit bored and I am loving it. Life is short enough for some so for me to retire from a job that I truly loved was a wonderful decision. The passing of my wife two years afterwards and before she had decided to retire was a huge blow and I always now encourage people to retire when they can financially and take some well deserved time to relax and enjoy. As for CPP I took it at 60 because I have no vibes that I am going to live past the break even point. Not morbid, just a bird in the hand sort of thing. :)

Basicly your math is right but like most of life's decisions it is not really that simple... you have not factored in inflation or any investment of the money you might receive earlier or if the money might have been used to paydown or pay off a high interest debt earlier. Bottom line there is a break even point but it is different for every person's individual situation... Just my Opinion

I always encourage showers for hygiene and I usually give a few extra minutes for it. Most take a 2 or 3 minute shower which is reasonable. What is not reasonable is someone taking more than 5 minutes and then wanting to take another minute shower after. A half hour appt turns into 45. Most guys I have never seen do this. I've had it happen where someone spent 10 minutes in there before and 15 minutes and found it completely unacceptable and wearing out their welcome. I had to knock on the door because I had to leave and I was getting suspicious. They took their sweet ass time and knew they were doing it. That is someone I would never repeat with. While the above is a rare and an extreme case, I don't count the time for a quick shower of 2 or 3 minutes. I'm not a clock watcher with this but if someone is taking advantage of more than 5 minutes, I have no qualms in telling them they are cutting into the appointment.

I am so happy when a client who is coming over asks beforehand if they can use my shower. It is important, I like someone clean. Most come directly from work (i.e construction workers) and it's nice how they clean up before we engage in anything. Shower fun is also enjoyed. Some want to just step in quickly and out.

Well then you wouldn't like me because unless we have met before, I would be counting the money at the beginning of the session. When I would encourage you to relax and undress, etc. I would do it in such a way that it was not the sole focus in that moment. And yes, in the end, getting paid is is what it is about. It is a business transaction and that doesn't mean we don't choose our clients based soley on them compensating us or that we don't enjoy ourselves or feel an interpersonal connection. But at the end of the day, we are paid companions and no matter how you want to slice it, us not counting the money in front of you does not take away from that. It rarely happens, but I have had gents give me the incorrect amount or Canadian Tire money and even overpaid (especially when the new bills came out). There is nothing that will spoil my mood more than discovering after the client leaves that I was short-changed.

During her court case, she argued that women's breasts are just fat tissue, not unlike men's. But in his ruling, the judge said a woman's breast is "part of the female body that is sexually stimulating to men both by sight and touch," and should not be uncovered in public. In 1996, the Ontario Court of Appeal overturned Jacob's conviction, saying "there was nothing degrading or dehumanizing in what the appellant did. The scope of her activity was limited and was entirely non-commercial. No one who was offended was forced to continue looking at her." Moreover, the court ruled that Jacob did not exceed "the community standard of tolerance when all of the relevant circumstances are taken into account." The court did not rule on the constitutionality of the issue, though Jacob's lawyer had argued that her client had the same constitutional right to go topless as men did.
