Hello Everyone! Following's Loneskater's Ottawa Social Poll, and after mucho debate (not really, but it does sound rather important doesn't it?) i'm proud to announce that the Ottawa Christmas party will be held on December 4th 2014. I did promise we'd get the date out within 48 hours yesterday for all our out-of-Ottawa friends that need to make plans ahead of time to spend much appreciated time with all of us. So here you have it! Mark your calendars .. and further details will come A.S.A.P. Edit: Of note, this time around, we'll be in the west end of town.

Not to mention it's not as if LE can just arbitrarily pick someone's name out of a hat to check their email. It would require warrants which means the police have had to do some investigating already to have grounds to check your email. And that means you would have had to do something to draw the attention of LE to investigate And searching emails is not going to be easy for LE when the SCC has already upheld internet users privacy http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/internet-users-privacy-upheld-by-canada-s-top-court-1.2673823 My opinion, LE is going to focus on street prostitution not on seeing escorts/courtesans operating discretely Just my opinion RG

Key is prohibiting purchasing sexual services or communicating in any place for that purpose Don't discus money for sexual services. As the saying goes, money is for time and companionship. Keep sex and money out of the discussion. RG

It's not law - yet. It needs to pass through the Senate and obtain Royal Assent. Here's how MPs voted -- or more importantly, DIDN'T vote -- and how to get in touch with them: http://openparliament.ca/votes/41-2/249/

I don't want to "pile on", because you've already admirably acknowledged that your wording wasn't ideal. But a really useful piece of advice, I think, is to recognise that CERB is not a place for the "guys" to talk about the SPs: it's a place for hobbyists and SPs together to interact. Any question which forgets half the audience, or implicitly assumes they don't exist in the conversation, is going to be seen as wrong-footed. But welcome to CERB :) Mostly you will find it a pretty friendly place.

The key will be to call the provider directly. Back to services for time and companionship. Currently I do not use email. It's too anonymous and I will not be texting anymore either once this law goes into effect. I will put things in place such as a secondary phone number that is not advertised on the internet for regulars and will have another unpublished number to secure a first time booking with new clients. This way if I need to confirm their number, the number I have is in no way affiliated with escorting if it were to appear in phone records or someone decided to google it. I want to make this as discrete as possible for myself and my clients. Posted via Mobile Device

Privacy is a privilege, not a right. Although I do not support TJB outing clients, I get where she's coming from. That being said, outing clients only makes things worse for sex workers. And honestly, does anyone really think that outing Con clients will stop Bill C36 from becoming law? NOPE. So quit adding fuel to the fire TJB.

I do not see that LE will have the resources to check each and everyone of my emails exchanged between a lady and me. For safety measure, we can also keep out the discussions of sexual services as RG pointed out.

We hear how it is our civic duty to vote in elections. But if the average citizen has a civic duty to vote in elections, then isn't there a higher duty of those elected (and who got elected by average citizens carrying out their civic duty) to carry out both their civic and elected duty by voting on legislation drafted in The House Of Commons. If they are not willing to vote, and take a stand in Parliament they have no business asking citizens to vote them in as MP's. Personally I think those that abstained in this vote just didn't want to upset their Party and also their constituents. The Party may have wanted a vote one way, their constituents another. To me, an abstaining vote is just an empty seat in Parliament, one better used by a politician who will take a stand, even if unpopular. I angers me, they get a healthy income not to mention tax free allowances for being MP's, and they don't even do the job. I personally don't think so. CERB may adapt. And no mention of sexual services in ladies' ads and websites. Escort sites exist (example The Er*tic Revi*w) in the United States. Also there are professional companions in the United States who have websites. BTW prostitution exists in the United States where for the most part it is illegal. Point to this, MacKay thinks C36 will eradicate prostitution. It has existed, and always will exist. But escort recommendation and review board, jmho will still exist A rambling RG

It has to pass through the Senate, where it will go through three readings and a vote. If the Senate votes for the bill, it will then be presented to the Governor General for Royal Assent; the GG may assent, reserve assent, or hold assent. If assent is given, then it becomes law. http://library.queensu.ca/gov/bills_federal
  22. 2 points
It's not going away. Politicians like Mackay think they can abolish prostitution in one foul swoop and all I can say is that he's a dreamer. He is just playing a script to the tune of his party and once the new law is set in motion, it will be onto bigger issues. This bill is a Thorne in their side. Lets see how they will enforce it. My prediction is they will go for the easiest targets first and then you won't hear much about it again unless it's challenged through the courts. As I said before, where there are laws there will always be loopholes. Time and companionship only is what we will be reverting back to. Posted via Mobile Device

If you just want a massage and have insurance, go to an RMT. It's cheaper. Do you go to strip joints for the music?

People have become so comfortable with the way business has been run over the past couple of decades that they don`t even realize that the bulk of these services are done under illegal conditions already. Every single time you are in an incall, regardless of where it is (hotel/condo/house/car) you are breaking the law. Every time you pay the front desk of a massage parlour before seeing the person providing the services, you are assisting someone in breaking the law (living off the avails, procuring). Every time you met an sp in public first, and have any sort of discussion about the time to come, and at the same time exchange the $$ (discreetly) in a public place, you are breaking the public solicitation laws. People who aren't contacting indy sps for outcalls only have been breaking the law every single time, but we are complacent and comfortable doing this because LE doesn't investigate or charge these things. It doesn't make them different from the proposed C36, and sps and clients will adapt to these new conditions under which they have to proceed. When i started it was under the impression that what i was doing was illegal. It took some research before i realized that prostitution is legal in Canada, and more that the discussion of rates and services in phone calls was also legal. I continue to get new clients who believe it is completely illegal, based on current laws, and the idea that solicitation charges have to do with sex work itself, and not simply the fact it is public communication that is the criminal act. So i'm in the 'stop the fear mongering' camp. I find it pointless to assume that any indy sp is going to be harassed by LE to give up the names and contact info of any client. The whole C36 is useless due to the fact that it's most important premise is that no sps are allowed to be touched by or threatened with criminal charges or threats by LE. All it takes is one overreaching LE to try, and the civil rights folks are all over them. For any guy who wants to proceed with fighting charges, I think it is obvious that Alan Young plans to take on the case, and do it pro bono.

Terri Jean Bedford has caused a stir and issued a threat as may be seen HERE, and isn`t it of interest that the hearings are back on the news again. I sincerely and respectfully disagree with the comments that were written about that article arguing that her action is wrong and unprofessional and unethical. I gave this opinion once before when the topic was in the news and the silence was understandably deafening, but I shall repeat it. IF someone truly believes that Bill C-36 will cause physical harm and or death to even one sex worker, then I argue that taking whatever legal action is required to prevent that from happening is not only acceptable but also a responsibility. If that includes naming a client then so be it. If I threatened a sex worker with physical harm then the fact that I had been a paying client should NOT give me immunity. Threatening to release the names of clients who are planning an action that will kill women is not enough. Doing it after the bill is passed is irresponsible. I argue that if her statements are true then the information should be released immediately to the press before the law is passed and then let the press do the job that they have thus far chosen not to do. Their are ways to do it. In 1974 Deep Throat, whoever he is is unknown to this day, along with press investigation brought down a presidency. I do believe that the hypocrisy of some of these government members, NOT their use of legal sex workers, could cause this government to fall, and this bill along with it. I am writing a totally politically incorrect comment that most will disagree with. I know that. There is no way that any sex worker or perhaps any client should publicly agree with this. All I ask is that all sex workers ask themselves where does client privilege stop and protecting your own life and lives of fellow sex workers begin. Sorry if I made anyone feel uncomfortable. I don`t think that this is just a game if lives are on the line. MN2 (who apparently is not such a nice guy.)

This is a very common thing with the ladies... Always looking for the "Reason" the business gets slow at times and always looking for answers as to why they get no shows and cancellation more at different times of the year. Most NO SHOWS can be stopped by screening your calls properly. Use the Caller ID and CALL BACK the number to verify it. Most guys will not pull a NO SHOW on someone without having the decency to call and properly cancel if you have their number. They know that come appointment time one very upset SP is going to give them a call asking WTF! It's not 100% but it sure helps for those who screen calls. It also makes the call a little more safer as that phone number is now a connection between the guy and the lady... I doubt someone dangerous is going to want to leave a number that can be traced back to them. Most of the ladies look for reasons when things are slow. I guess most of us do that when the business we are in takes a drop in sales/traffic/work load/etc.... You can spend a good portion of your day trying to figure this one out but it's not really worth the effort. It's WAY easier to just plan for these lows (Put some money aside for the slow periods) and just accept that this is part of EVERY business and it will happen. Stop stressing out and trying to point a finger at what you think is causing the slowness as your just going to convince yourself of something that is probably not correct. We have been tracking patterns in this industry since 1996 and the answer for this is... (Drum roll please)... It has no pattern EXCEPT for a few obvious LOW spots. 1) The end of Aug is SLOW every year! (Kids out of school, getting ready to go back to school, family summer vacations, etc...) This is the most popular summer weekend in the tourist industry!! 2) 1 week before and 1 week after Xmass (No need to explain this one right?) New years day too? NOT... 3) January/February for 2 weeks every year (We sum this up to winter blues and getting your credit card statements from Xmass! but we never know what two weeks it will be but for sure 2 weeks around this time it does drop... one year we did not see this and come April we saw a real low drop for 2 weeks and that was obvious weather patterns (Long winter/early spring ... warm winter/cold spring etc...) it does effect this business and you never know when this is coming exactly... so just put some cash aside for these times. 4) First nice weekend of spring (A lot of the ladies take this time off too) 5) Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentines, long weekends, really large sporting events (etc)... they also effect the business. The rest has NO identifiable pattern. You can try to blame it on the economy as a low economy brings more people into this business causing more competition and the overall amount of "Recreational money" the guys have gets a lot smaller so yes the economy does effect it but a low economy BUT it also brings more guys (New guys) in to the mix as well so it's not hit as hard as one would assume. Remember money and sex are the two big things couples fight about... When the economy drops and the money gets tight the stress levels go up, the fighting between couples goes up and the sex stops!! FACT OF LIFE... and I hate to admit it but that is good for this business for all you ladies!! When economy starts to get good again business will decrease a little at first! It's OPPOSITE of what everyone ASSUMES! As for NO SHOWS... This time of year it will obviously be higher. Kids are still home from school, Family vacations, relatives coming for visits, back to school shopping, etc.. etc... and all those people taking time OFF work for family vacations makes other people have to work more (Overtime to cover shifts, higher work loads, etc) it's all relevant.... A lot of LAST MINUTE things come up this time of the year for the "Family Man" and well... kids and family (for most people) come first so recreational visits take a back seat so stuff will get canceled more this time of year. Picture this... The guy is all ready to come see the lady he has chosen and the door bell rings and it's his brother or uncle or who knows who just "DROPS BY" for a visit... URH!? Probably with his annoying kids and wife... (Many of us have been in similar situations) This happens EVERY YEAR... Come September 17th (Or around that time) once the kids are back in school and the routine is back... things will pick up. Summer sucks as a lot more things can get in the way or throw a guys schedule off. Don't spend all your time looking for reasons why the business slows down.... it happens to EVERY PROVIDER & EVERY BUSINESS ... It can not be busy 100% of the time and it does take a little planning and anticipation.

How important are kissing, cuddles and hug's in your sessions. For me, it is very important for the full enjoyment of a woman. I love a woman that kiss and cuddle. It's nice to be welcomed with a nice hug and kiss when you first meet. It's nice to say good by with a nice and kiss. Kissing is important in any encounter with either SP or MA, it can make or break a session. Sex is good, but without kissing or cuddling in between, it's just not the same. Cuddling and talking after the deed has been done is a nice way to relax and get to know a person. It's nice to be held and I find it more intimate some times then the sex itself. It shows that the person trust's you allow you to cuddle with them. What's your opinion? Do you women like to kiss, cuddle and hug during the session with a new person? or only after a 2nd or 3rd session.

She's a very nice 20-something Asian with perfect English. Uses small amount of unscented oil that absorbs easily so no shower is not an issue and the hot towel removes most remaining traces. Her door fees are posted on her ad and any extras are similar to the high-end spas. A nice experience, I'll repeat. Hope that helps, if not give her a try and report back

I guess what your looking for all depends on what your particular interpretation of 'upscale' is. I was in Kings Wharf condos, extremely lavish, discrete and upscale, and heard lot of 'attitude' about it being in Dartmouth. Apparently it wasn't 'upscale' enough at $830,000 for some. Trust in your instincts that if a lady on here says she's discrete, she is doing her utmost to be discrete.

There would be no reason for CERB to go, as long as all providers are independently doing own ads and NOT selling sexual service, it is like the old days for time only. Hour, HH, multi hours. No talk on abbreviations. Book blindly with those you never met.

Sceptical, but will give her the benefit of the doubt. That is indeed ignorant, but typical of a politician to put campaigning ahead of everything else. That was a good turnout for a vote. MPs spend time in their ridings and doing other government work that takes them away from Parliament. It was a lot closer than I expected. It is a very contentious issue and I expected a lot more "Didn't Vote" from the non Tories. We have to remember that there a lot of other things going on besides C36. Obviously everyone here thinks it is very important but I have never heard a single person at my workplace mention it, none of my non-pooning friends have ever mentioned it, and it has barely been mentioned in the media. Disappointed that it passed even though it was inevitable.

Some sites similarly to cerb have already migrated to oversea where Canadian laws are out of reach - so I don't see sites like ours will disappear. I wonder if this may be a good time for clients and ladies to exchange private email addresses - if privacy is not an issue of course.

I think it would have had more of an impact if the bill had passed with a narrower margin. Of those who didn't vote: 1 Independent 3 Liberals 14 NDPs, of which: Alexandre Boulerice tweeted about "building safe workspaces for everybody" and then decided a public speaking engagement at a Toronto Steel Workers' Health and Safety conference was more important than voting on safe workspaces for sex workers. Eve Peclet has been very vocal against C36, and "had a personal emergency". Peggy Nash was speaking at a CUPE conference in Toronto. CUPE has publicly declared their support against C36. Even a vote FOR C36 would have meant more. Not voting says to me that they just don't care. And I'm pretty mad about that.

Any discounts for returning customers? Why dont you just get a boyfriend with money and then you won't have to do this? What a piss off! Did it ever occur to people that I have chosen to do this and don't need to it? No one's business why I do. Why do some men think we need a man to take care of us? What? Because we cant stand on our own two feet? ive been taking care of myself since i was 19 years old. I dont need a man and frankly I don't want a bf right now. The last one was too much of a headache. I'll echo what has been said. One person's best may not be another person's. One lady may be a 15 out of 10 for one gentleman but not so for another. Intangibles play a part, chemistry, connection, YMMV etc. It's too subjective a question. That said, and as has been suggested, look at the recommendation section for Halifax, it will provide a start for finding a lady who may interest you. Second, there are also some ladies who may not be local but do tour to Halifax. You may wish to contact them too Oh, one friendly tip, and this about ladies in general. It's ok to say they are young, but never call a lady old :-)...btw I've had dates with ladies from their mid twenties to fifties, and never had a date with an old lady Frankly I can't think of any old ladies for that matter on CERB Good Luck RG

While I don't believe your question is mal intentioned, words like "best" have always been touchy here. The board consist of both hobbyists and sp's after all. Asking for any type of comparison or ranking can only lead to hard feelings. A better approach might be to ask for recommendations based on a particular interest, such as a service, activity, personality, look, body style, or whatever. I'm sure you will get some suggestions. There are lots of helpful people here. Just avoid words like best ;) If you are simply looking for general, non specific recommendations, there is a whole section dedicated to just that. Lots of amazing women there, with many details about the type of experiences offered. Good luck my friend, Mikey

Another aspect of this to be considered is that once the magazine is loaded and fired, it can never again be reloaded. The threat of outing is far more intimidating than the actual naming of names. For the multitudes that could be named, only a percentage will catch a bullet and the rest will breath a sign of relief, the threat will be pretty much over. It will be big new once and only once; subsequent outings will be observed but will have the "already been there, did that" reaction in the public eye. This could only be done once or twice, then it would lose it's power. Our politicians are not rock stars, most people can't even name their MPs let alone recognize them on the street. The names would have to be so high up and relevant to todays government that the public immediately know who they are. I know who is in my blackbook, some are genuine power brokers in this country but Joe Public wouldn't know them at all. A few of them are elected officials, others are long term bureaucrats. None of these men would be recognized be anyone outside of the people who work on the Hill. The journalists would have a hay day researching these mens lives and terrorizing (I believe journalists are our homegrown terrorists!) the outed's loved ones gathering enough information to flesh out their characters to even make the public care enough to follow the story. By outing clients, the only winners are the media, everyone else loses... cat

Again quickly dropped into Barb's on a Saturday afternoon (10/4). Arrived around 2:00 and found a fair number of patrons already there. Left at 3:00 after seeing Sasha, Kitty and Brandi on stage. Not sure I've seen Brandi before and thought she was stunning on stage - a very pretty girl with a lovely shape, especially from the waist down; really nice legs and a gorgeous derriere. No sign of Jenny (or Paris).

Well I am widowed and after she passed away very unexpectedly was when I discovered this whole world that I had not even realized existed. I do not publicize my participation in seeing SP's but my kids all know and are very supportive of me in that regard. I am very lucky that I can do this, although I see very few women now, without thoughts of guilt or even caring about being, "discovered."

I find myself agreeing with MN2. This wrong headed and dangerous legislation, I think, changes the game and may require some drastic action. If the hypocrites are outed (as RG alluded - we could only hope) it won't be because some provider is being unprofessional but because this legislation is a dangerous and thoughtless attack on innocent people. I don't think there are many people on this board who consider C-36 and the process it is following to be 'professional' in any way.

Most of the ladies do not have MBA's so expecting them to do what mainstream business's do (In the way they operate the business) is not realistic (Wrong expectations!) Mainstream business men and women with either a business education or years of being in a professional business environment learn certain "rules" for successfully marketing a and operating a company. These are things you LEARN over time but can benefit greatly upfront if you learn them early. For Instance... Such things as.. downturns (How to anticipate and how to ensure security) never admitting your slow (sales are down) most business professionals know NEVER to do this (Always say your doing great) ROI (Return on investment - how to make 10.00 into 100.00) landing a deal (Market, Sales Pitch and HOW TO seal the deal!) Addressing your customers needs (It's not always about the sex or the looks - the personality is very important and the way you make your customer feel is very important) phone sales (Mannerisms... not to answer the cell phone while driving or with screaming kids or yelling friends... or loud music playing) Time Management scheduling Follow Ups Repeat sales (Return clients) etc... A lot of the ladies learn this over time and trial and error... (and that can hurt a ladies reputation before she even gets started full swing). Things many people who work in mainstream business assume are common knowledge or obvious choices allude many people who have no formal business experience - and it's easy to forget that at times. This business has no prerequisites, you do not need any business skills to make money as a provider but if you had those skills you could make a LOT MORE money. A few of the ladies over the years have had MBA's and they usually excel rapidly and really do well in the business... and really you do not need a MBA to learn these things. Most are common sense but often overlooked or viewed as not as important. The most successful ladies are the ones who have the ENTIRE PACKAGE (Sell the fantasy, polite on the phone, never miss appointments, treat the guy like he is a god, have lots of fun and enjoy people).... It may just be a big act or illusion ... or it may be the lady really likes her job (Either way the customer should NEVER be able to tell the difference). If you do this you will rarely have slow times as your "Regulars" will keep you busy during these off season times.
