I have to side with Phaedrus here in that I think, as poorly articulated as the discussion was begun, there is nothing inherently wrong with discussing rates. Discussion isn't negotiation. Understanding the economics of this industry can be informative for those who haven't stopped to think about it, or haven't considered all aspects of the topic. Asking why rates are what they are does not *have* to imply that you are suggesting those rates should change. But, articulating the question crudely can do just that. Clients DO have the right to question what they are paying for. They are not guaranteed to be entitled to an answer, and that needs to be accepted. That's because the ladies DO have the right to charge as they see fit; anybody who doesn't think it's understandable that a woman is in charge of defining the price tag she places on sharing her most intimate self with someone else needs to reevaluate more than just what they are doing asking these questions. Simply put, anybody can charge whatever they want for whatever they want, whether it's an intimate encounter, a car, a cauliflower or a cup of pens. That doesn't mean that they should feel entitled to everyone accepting those prices either. If people do, then, by definition, the market has tolerated the price of their commodity. It's been said again and again, choose the provider that fits your budget. It sounds trite, but it's still the most direct answer you'll ever get. The rest is all details that won't change a single thing.

I meet my most regular provider quite near a police station. They don't care. They have bigger fish to fry than us.

I know of a few hotels near the police station in Saint John, and they are all high end hotels. Not sure about the other cities, but if in SJ, don't worry. Its funny, when I book a hotel, the last thing I worry about is "is there a police station nearby". I look at parking, door access, quality of hotel etc. Yes, I feel you are over thinking this. Go and enjoy.

Your original post clearly indicated that based on your opinion paying more than $240/$260 for a hour with a lady in this industry was not good value for YOUR money ... fine you are entitled to your opinion but let's face it your approach to expressing that opinion clearly took a swipe at ladies who charge more and frankly that undertone is clearly articulated in your "golddigger" comment... no wonder you place such a low value on spending time with these ladies you have such a low opinion of their character. You may not agree with their business approach and you may think that they are not worth the money they are charging but how about at least showing some respect for them as people... they like you and I are going about their lives trying to support themselves and their families. What's the outcome you are looking for from your post??... it appears you have a very strong opinion about what ladies should charge... what their expenses should be... and every other facet of THEIR business. Perhaps you want the job as customer ombudsman for the Sex Industry the guy who will stand up for all us poor little guys who are getting taken advantage of by the big bad ladies in this industry... Let's get real the majority of the ladies in this industry work extremely hard to make a living... you have heard several of the ladies outline their expenses and frankly very few leave this industry rich... sure it pays for school or supports their family or allows them some extras that their regular job does not allow for. The professional ladies in this business have made a choice to take control of their own employment... to decide for themselves how they work and when they work... they offer a very personal and intimate service to us men so of course they should be free to decide what they want to charge you or I or any other guy for that matter does not have to agree with that price... they can make a different choice that reflects their personal situation. Discussing SP or MA rates in public is just rude. We do not have to justify our rates. Too expensive? Shake it off, and pass to the next.

All I can say is money......well.......spent. They were both very accommodating and we had a few laughs. Would definitely see them again and recommend them. Watching the two of then work their magic was terrific. Also, Cleo has the nicest set of &$)@ I may have seen in my entire life. Two enthusiastic thumbs way up. The duo is worth it.

I've been following this site for a long time now, and it is amazing how often the same, issues, concerns and complaints come up. Things that should be obvious often are not. I thought it might help if I compiled a summery of some of the more common concerns for the newbie section. Hopefully it will help get some of the new gents to the hobby off on the right foot. There may be some here that don't apply to all people or situations, but these are some of the more common ones I have seen over the years: 1. Do your homework first. Nobody likes to have to spend time writing out answers to questions they have already provided answers for on their website or ad. 2. Be respectful during the initial contact. Being abrupt or rude is definitely a bad start. 3. Don't be too explicit. The laws are such that everyone is restricted in what can be said. Some are more careful than others with this, but remember that you are simply compensating for her time. That's all. Asking for anything more specific will often get you no reply at all. 4. Don't haggle. This is not a flea market. Nothing kills the mood faster than telling someone that they are worth less than they think they are. If she is out of your price range, move on politely. 5. If you have to cancel, let her know ASAP. Life sometimes gets in the way of the best laid plans. Their time is their source of income and they have promised some of it to you. At least give them some notice if you won't be able to make it. If you can't give notice, consider offering to compensate her. It has already cost her the time, whether or not you were there. (E-transfers can make this super easy.) ....And just not showing up without letting her know at all is so incredibly disrespectful and uncool. (and a sure way to get yourself black listed.) Just don't do it. 6. If you are sick, cancel. Nobody wants your illness. (But see number 5) 7. Hygiene -It shocks me how often this one comes up. It is for your own benefit to not have her repulsed during your time together. Take a shower and brush your teeth as close to the appointment as possible. If you can't, then ask if she has shower facilities. Many do. (But remember it is on your time.) oh... and wear deodorant! 8. If she asks you to take a shower before hand.... take one. It means one of two things. a) She has a policy that all clients take one, or b) you smell. Either way, it is the same answer: Take the shower if she asks. 9. Respect her time. This means being on time, but not early. Not always easy to be precise, but do what you can. If you are late, don't expect that she will let you stay later to make up for it. Also, don't expect her to be ready early just because you showed up early. Remember, you have an appointment. Respecting her time also means leaving when your time is up without having to be asked over and over. 10. Have the envelope ready at the beginning of the date. Don't make her ask. It kills the mood. I just place it on the dresser or table as I walk in. They can address it or not as they see fit. Of course, all of these points can be summed up with two words: "show respect". If you use that as a guideline, you can't go wrong. I know there are some points that I have missed and some that not everyone will agree with. Remember, this isn't my list. It is a compilation of the most common concerns I have seen since I started following the site. Feel free to add to it if I have missed any.

Gentlemen and my fellow ladies, I have had the absolute amazing time, with all you fine fellows of Saint John NB. Recently I have sadly had an enormous amount of no shows. Not only have they been know shows but they have been confirming and, still not showing up. Is it me? I highly doubt it.. Saint John used to be one of my favourite cities to visit . That was 3-4 years ago. It has slowly declined and I now have only two gentlemen that I know will visit me if at all possible. Is it the economy ? Perhaps . However that should not remove manners. No shows and no calls are the norm in Saint John where it used to be the exception. I get many random requests, " when are you visiting Saint John again?" Then I visit and no call or request ? At least I am not alone .

Waking up this morning to four text messages from a very hot friend, who says she misses me!

I think you're being just a bit unfair and mean to both the men that visit BP and providers that advertise there. Some of the most respected and well reviewed women that reside on Lyla also advertise on backpage, including yourself. Men are just trying to sort through the sketchy and the fantastic. If it is so sketchy, then why are you there? Of the thousands of ads I've seen there I only recall seeing one that offered uncovered service. Portraying them all as offering dirty barebakc providers is hyperbole. My own observations tell me there most certainty has been upward movement of prices here driven by a shift in demand as hobbiests have retreated to safer dates under the new legislative regime. And yes, this is EXACTLY where we should be bringing quality providers that don't yet have a Lyla account. Some women don't want to be there because they don't want this to be their life. I talked to some that are just trying to support their families through a bad patch and then they want out. That's neither cheap or dirty. I understand there is a financial incentive to shut down discussion of off site providers. At one time there was even a rule here to ban even the mention of backpage. It was unenforceable, largely tolerated, and didn't allow for men to stay safe through sharing of experiences. In their wisdom, staff changed the rules to permit such discussions, and Lyla is stronger now as discussion has flourished (as likely ad hits have, too). Respectfully, please let us do so, as the rules permit, without attacks on anyone's character or hygiene. I would suggest if these posts bother you so much then you can choose to not click and not read them.

You think 350 is lots, lol, but again that is here in Canada. Guess you might think I'm crazy than, seeing a Companion in the USA and her rates are 600.00 an hour, I booked her, but not for an hour but a overnight together. (Her longer bookings is less than a her hourly rate) Can you imagine with the CDN AND USD exchange rate what that might of been? However, there are so many ladies in your area that are well reviewed, why not start there? URGENT in my opinion is for 911 - heart attack, stroke, car accident. Slow down, read and go from there. Just wanted to bring this thread up again. Been over 2 years since I have been off Liptor and feeling much better. Doctors are often prescribing powerful and expensive drugs when diet and natural supplments may work just as good without the harmful side effects.

You've now been coached by several posters about conducting yourself with regards to safety. I would mention that I have been pretty active in the hobby for a few years, and about 50 percent of the time, I've had the provider deliver a bbbj.
